Hey ladies,

Just thought it might be a nice idea for any of us first time mums just finding out to have a thread to chat on.

I found out Monday and am now 4+4.

@showmorekindness congratulations! Im sorry to hear about your MMC, that must have been awful, sending lots of positive vibes to you!

I also got 2-3 on Wednesday and again yesterday and I'm roughly 4+4 today. I will use them to measure progression but 3+ threshold is alot higher so I won't be too worried if I dont see it for a while!

Hope all is okay with you xx

Bubbles1st · 16/01/2021 14:32

Hi

I am pregnant with my first, due date from dates is 12th September :)

Birchybirch · 16/01/2021 15:01

Hi all, I hope you're all good, and congratulations everyone!

Me any my dh were trying for 5 months, and according to my ovulation, I think I'm only 2+3, but going off 1st day of period its 5+5 (my cycle is normally 28 days but for some reason this cycle was a little all over the show).

I should therefore be due mid-Sept 🙂

Sounds like my symptoms are the same as everyone else's. Had some very small spotting early in the week, then twinges on my left hand side, and sore boobs. Twinges seem less now (although when I do get them, it tends to be gas). Boob pain comes and goes, but I've had to start wearing a bra regularly again as they feel heavy. Also, my heart rate seems to sometimes feel like it's going like the clappers! Its meant to be normal, but I think it's also a mix of nervousness and excitement.

My closest 3 friends knew we were trying, so I told them, and my dh's best friend also knows. Don't want many more to know, but am planning on telling the parents today. Sounds grim, but they can be a support, should anything happen.

We're still a bit in shock, so not sure it's sunk in completely, but already started decluttering the house x

sept2021 · 16/01/2021 15:37

Congrats everyone! Wishing you all the best! I'm currently 5+1 with my 2nd. Started with light cramps which have gone now, i've been spotting very very very pale peachy colour occasionally when i wipe for the past 3 days which can be stressful but I woke up yesterday and my boobs are insanely swollen and tender!

Chica1990 · 16/01/2021 16:02

Has anyone had a dodge stomach/diarrhoea so far? Not sure if it’s anything to be worried about. I think I remember my friend having the same early on and read it was hormonal changes so I hope that’s all it is 🙏🏼

Birchybirch · 16/01/2021 18:14

@Chica1990 I've not, but apparently yeah for some people it can go one way or the other, constipation or diahorria x

bluemagicalsky · 16/01/2021 21:54

Anyone else suffering with really bad lower back pain? It doesn't seem to go away much!

NommyChompers · 16/01/2021 22:24

@unicornpower - yes still happening but still small amounts so not like a period (and with endo you can’t mistake it) so I’m trying to be relaxed about it. Will call GP Monday to say I’ve had a positive test and mention it then and see how it goes

Jay3004 · 17/01/2021 07:40

Hi Ladies.

Can I join in please? I’m around 4 weeks and due 23rd September according to the NHS due date calculator. I’m 32 and it’s the first baby for myself and my partner. I had been on the pill for 16 years, came off in November and only had 1 period before falling pregnant. Really expected it to take longer so we’re both still in shock!

Would be nice to share the journey with you all xx

NommyChompers · 17/01/2021 08:02

Welcome @Jay3004 congratulations!

unicornpower · 17/01/2021 08:27

@NommyChompers good idea, hopefully just implantation? Mine tends to be first thing in the morning and then has been tailing off throughout the day. Had some more this morning but its definitely CM so im trying to stay positive but expecting the worst too.

@Jay3004 congratulations! How exciting for you both!

When is everyone referring to their midwives? Im reluctant to until after an early scan because of the CM

Jay3004 · 17/01/2021 08:42

@NommyChompers thank you!

@unicornpower thank you! I called my GP on Friday and I have my first midwife appointment on Tuesday. They advised it would be by telephone at the moment due to the current situation.

AnitaB83 · 17/01/2021 09:18

Hi all! congratulations!!!! May I join? I found out I am pregnant on the 8th of January and I am due on the 16th of September I think.

I am also 37 years old and we have been trying to conceive for 24 months!! we were due to start our IVF/ICSI cycle in March so this is really a miracle for us (OH has very low sperm count but it seems on of them did its job over Christmas:)!!) .

I am cautiously happy, well, I am a bit afraid actually, I have not symptoms : on and off sore boobs, some cramping in low abdomen that comes and goes as well. We will see

Happy Sunday to all of you!

Roselilly36 · 17/01/2021 09:19

Many congrats all Flowers.

unicornpower · 17/01/2021 09:19

@Jay3004 thats great! Hopefully it is all straightforward for you, are you going to have an early scan?

Weve agreed we will refer to midwives if all is well at our early scan in a few weeks. After the loss last time im just being really cautious, havent downloaded any apps or anything as I did that all last time and had to delete them 🙈

unicornpower · 17/01/2021 09:23

@AnitaB83 congratulations! Over the moon for you that you didn't have to go down the IVF route in the end! We were also due to start IVF in March so somewhat of a miracle 😀

Totally get being afraid its a very strange time isnt it! Oscillating between been super excited and terrified Blush

AnitaB83 · 17/01/2021 09:31

@unicornpower, such a coincidence! Congratulations!!

yes, really a miracle, I cannot get super excited yet (I would like to but I cannot), my husband finds it strange that I am not 100% happy but I explained him the risks at this stage, etc. Still, looking forward to next Saturday to tell me family :)

itssquidstella · 17/01/2021 09:35

@unicornpower I'm also holding off on self-referring until I’ve had my scan at 6w3d (currently 5+2). I had a blighted ovum pregnancy at the end of May so I need to know that there's something in there before I make contact with the midwives - at the moment I can't shake the feeling that it's going to be a repeat of last time :/

itssquidstella · 17/01/2021 09:35

I also haven't downloaded any apps after two previous MCs; it feels like tempting fate.

AdventuresAwait · 17/01/2021 09:44

Good morning! I would love to join too please. I'm 39 and it is my first pregnancy. Think I'm in my 6th week and due around the 15th September. Feeling tired, have sore boobs and some nausea & am very excited!

AdventuresAwait · 17/01/2021 09:50

@Chica1990 yes I've had diarrhoea too. I also read it may be due to the hormonal changes.

Jay3004 · 17/01/2021 09:59

@unicornpower I’m so sorry about your previous loss, it must make you so much more anxious this time. How many weeks will you be at your early scan?

Yes I’ve booked an early scan for the 6th Feb. I’m a really anxious person at the best of times so I just want to go for a bit of reassurance as it seems so long to wait until the 12 week one!

Jay3004 · 17/01/2021 10:01

@AnitaB83 wow congratulations, a miracle baby! Something similar happened with one of my friends. She had tried for a long time, tried IVF with no joy and then got pregnant naturally. She’s got a lovely baby boy now Smile

Chica1990 · 17/01/2021 10:01

Thank you @AdventuresAwait! How much have you put up with so far? My stomach is feeling better today but hopefully it doesn’t kick off again later.

unicornpower · 17/01/2021 10:15

@itssquidstella its so hard isnt it! So sorry about your loss, its honestly the worst pain I've ever felt so I hope youre doing okay. Only one week to go until your scan! Yay ❤️

I took a CB digi today and got a 3+ which is great as last time I never got above 1-2, I only thought I was 4+4 today so could this mean I'm further along than I thought?
