Is around who's due in April 2021? How are you feeling?

I was in a thread on here in early pregnancy, dropped off when I joined the buddies Facebook group, I'm still in it but its not really for me.... I miss having a place to go to chat pregnancy though.

37 weeks today! Crazy to think I could only have 3 weeks left 🤯🤯🤯
So not ready for this hahaaa

Mumto3andexpectingagain · 14/03/2021 20:57

I am due April 16th with my fourth and gave had such a rough time with GDM and daily enoxaparin injections. Been threatened with induction in week 39 too but asked for alternatives so they will scan me at 39 weeks and then we can decide on how to proceed. First time I've posted so sorry if it's not the norm. Glad that I'm already on mat leave too

tinatsarina · 14/03/2021 21:53

My birthing ball arrived today so I've been on that a good bit, it seems to be helping my back pain which is a plus

JTB123 · 14/03/2021 22:39

@tinatsarina I got mine out the garage today! Not really sure what I should be doing on it 😂😳

BaaHumbugg · 14/03/2021 22:55

@JTB123 you could have even less left! Everytime I see midwife they remind me that 37 weeks is considered full term!

@mumto3andexpectingagain that sounds really tough, not long to go now!

I'm just so exhausted and these movements are really freaking me out now, it's like she's trying to escape and it's not enjoyable feeling at all Confused

drumst1ck · 14/03/2021 23:16

Lots of lower back pain here tonight. 36 weeks exactly and don't remember this with my first. Not enjoying it!

Mumto3andexpectingagain · 15/03/2021 03:59

@BaaHumbugg thanks for your wishes. Its cos it's now cramped in there so movements could feel really different to the nice flowy flutters from before. On the plus side it means you're close. Is it your first?

@drumst1ck try a hot water bottle. Sometimes helps with the back pain but again it just means you're so close now

Good luck all

JTB123 · 15/03/2021 09:05

Totally on the countdown and looking for signs now 🤞🏼❤️
I don't think I've had any BH at all.. and if I have I've clearly mistaken them for baby moving it's back in front of my belly button to make it harder!?
I'm more worried about my waters breaking on my new mattress 😂😂

How is everyone feeling today? Any early signs?

drumst1ck · 15/03/2021 10:40

@Mumto3andexpectingagain thanks, I used a hot water bottle last night which took the edge off a bit but tossed and turned all night with my back bothering me.

I keep wanting to think that everything is a sign I might be early this time around but then I don't want to be disappointed when I go overdue! I was one day late with my last but the thought of another four weeks is making me cry Sad

rainbow95 · 15/03/2021 14:23

Has everyone decided on names yet? We still haven't! 4 weeks to go too 🙊

CheshireeeCattt · 15/03/2021 14:57

@rainbow95

Has everyone decided on names yet? We still haven't! 4 weeks to go too 🙊
No names either...!! Do you know what you're having?
BaaHumbugg · 15/03/2021 15:18

No names here either, my DD wants to choose the name but her choices are... questionable! Grin

rainbow95 · 15/03/2021 15:36

Glad I'm not the only one then! No we don't know what we're having which does make it more tricky. We have a few potential girls names but finding boys names difficult. Just can't decide on anything.

TheViewOutsideMyWindow · 15/03/2021 18:20

Definitely get some towels / waterproof sheets on that new mattress @JTB123! My waters absolutely gushed out with my first and I only just made it to the ensuite in time from my bed. I had towels placed under my bottom sheet from 37 weeks as it was a new mattress.

We have a name in mind but it's early days for us as only just 34wks now. I hope to get an ELCS date on Wednesday though.

JTB123 · 15/03/2021 19:20

@rainbow95 we don't know what we're having either!!I do have a name for each picked out but I hardly liked any boy names 😩😩😩😩

JTB123 · 15/03/2021 19:21

@TheViewOutsideMyWindow haha for sure it's on my list to get next week!! If it's not too late 😂

MooreLew · 15/03/2021 19:23

Hope you all don't mind, I've been following the April chat, even though I'm due the 12th May, I have preeclampsia and it could be more likely for baby to be born in April!

BaaHumbugg · 15/03/2021 23:05

@moorelew welcomeWink I don't know much about pre eclampsia but hope you are doing okay!

Flyingfrogspawn · 16/03/2021 08:15

Still don't have a name here either. We find one then I keep changing my mind.

Welcome @MooreLew :)

For those who have done this before, how does it feel when your waters break? Do you have any warning feelings etc? I already have one child but was confusion over my waters with my 1st and when I was induced there was nothing there to break, so suspected they went earlier and I didn't notice or had been leaking for a while. Scared same will happen again but I have been told I have group b strep this time so worried about it.

drumst1ck · 16/03/2021 08:34

@Flyingfrogspawn mine went with a massive gush with absolutely no warning or contractions. Just felt like a balloon popping inside me. I believe that's quite rare though and most people's don't go until they are in established labour so I'm wondering what will happen this time around!

BaaHumbugg · 16/03/2021 08:54

Mine went when I sat up in bed the first time, I didn't get any warning but then they didn't stop all day and there was no mistaking it!

Flyingfrogspawn · 16/03/2021 09:05

Thank you @drumst1ck and @BaaHumbugg for replying. Sounds like hopefully I'll know this time if they go.

Mumto3andexpectingagain · 16/03/2021 09:36

My waters had to be broken all 3 times so far, nothing wrong but just to get things moving as I was already contracting each time. On a separate note, I'm 35+4 today but I've had a dull period type pain since 4am!!!

Wavesandsmilesencore · 16/03/2021 09:56

My shortlist of names keeps getting longer 🤦‍♀️. I guess this is the joy of having three very interested kids wanting to offer up their ideas as well!

For the queries on waters breaking, with my first it was some point during labour, the middle two I had my waters broken during labour (to speed things up). With my last, the waters broke in the night, it was like I felt a pop, hopped out of bed and then it was a huge gush. Contractions started within half an hour and she arrived 4 hours after that.

bunhead34 · 16/03/2021 14:33

This might be a stupid question - but for those who already have kids - will I be able
To leave baby at 4 weeks (ish) for an afternoon? 4 or 5 hours. She will be left with her dad!
I will be breastfeeding (hopefully) but think okay to pump and bottle feed by then?
And will I need to pump while I am away?

The hairdressers open the day before my due date so can't get it done before baby arrives (I haven't had it done since November!)
I just want to book an appointment, but I get balayage and it takes bloody Hours! Obviously thinking about the important stuff 🙈 💁🏼‍♀️
