Babyhope98 · 22/12/2020 11:56

Sorry in advance did anyone have an episiotomy and have sex yet 🤣 it’s only been three weeks but my bleeding had stopped and stitches have dissolved but I know we are meant to wait 6 weeks wondered if anyone has given in to temptation 🤣

Kj1010 · 22/12/2020 13:08

Congratulations all new mummies enjoy ur bubbas @Babyhope98 gotta say thats the last thing on my mind lmao think it be a while before that happens in my house between baby feeds late nights oh working early we generally just to knackered we do have lots of cuddles though which is lovely

chubbyhotchoc · 22/12/2020 13:12

@Babyhope98 we did at 3 weeks. I didn't realise we were meant to wait six. I can't say I really wanted to but dh was in the mood. I only had one stitch though

Babyhope98 · 22/12/2020 15:58

I probably shouldn’t as I had more than one stitch but my partner is also always in the mood 🤣 I think I should give it at least one more week as I am just coming of antibiotics after an infections in my tear 😖

chubbyhotchoc · 22/12/2020 16:03

@Babyhope98 definitely be sensible. I had a womb infection so it was def not a smart thing to do. It was early in the morning and I wasn't thinking straight tbh 🤣

lc86 · 22/12/2020 16:54

I'm too scared of getting pregnant again to even think of sex lol

Babyhope98 · 22/12/2020 17:28

😂😂 @chubbyhotchoc

Jwl45 · 22/12/2020 20:02

Well as I've mentioned, I'm feeding off one side only. Up until now, the leaking I've managed to cope with. Tonight, no leaking just hard and full.
Tried to hand express in shower...not much luck. And the more I've been massaging Ive added to the uncomfortableness of it. Elsi will feed off the right in a bit ... But the nipple still hasn't healed left side so I'm reluctant to put her on it and to be honest, heading more to formula as it suits us and our family. Someone said on here the other day it passed with them in couple of days. I hope that's the case here. I can't cope with this pain. Expressing is not working.... I'm feeling cold and shivers... Not sure if that's all in my head. . .. I will phone HV tomorrow . This weaning lark hurts. Anyone similar? Sorry for the long post.

kkr168 · 22/12/2020 23:03

@chubbyhotchoc I'm impressed, my DH is not allowed near me until I get my implant sorted!!
I stopped bleeding after a week but every now & then I have a random gush of blood, so still having to wear a pad just incase. The midwife did say it could stop & start, just wish it would stop for good.
My baby has his hearing test tomorrow, has anyone else had there's yet? What does it involve?

Jwl45 · 23/12/2020 00:45

We had a hearing test. She was sleeping and the nurse just put like a little bud in each ear as she tested each side with her little machine. painless she said (my little one didn't flinch!)!and only lasted a couple of minutes

Kj1010 · 23/12/2020 07:35

Morning all my lo only woke up twice last night getting better we had the hearing test in hospital was quick and painless and all fine is everyone sorted for xmas we basically are apart from my house is a mess and it seems the novelty has worn off with helping me even though I'm only 2 weeks and 2 days post op I'm being left basically to do it all oh is back at work so he cant help during the day and seems to be shattered by the time he comes in even though I'm doing all the night feeds so he can get his sleep just feel they dont realise just how big a op I had and that I'm fine now only good thing is the weight is dropping off at a good steadily pace I'm actually lighter than I was b4 being pregnant

Snowwhite2020 · 23/12/2020 07:38

Hi ladies, only just found the thread and have spent a while reading through messages and catching up.

Congrats to everyone has had their baby now! Our baby girl arrived on 19th November but planned section and for me and her it was a good experience- calm, positive, we got skin to skin and she latched on in the recovery room and has been feeding very well ever since. My advice echoes that Of others on here- take all the pain meds and stay on top of them and for me that kept a lid on the pain and within a week I was feeling a lot better and within 2 weeks I felt really good. Nearly 5 weeks on now I feel practically normal but know better than to push it with heavy lifting etc.

On the subject of sleep deprivation- we have all of that going on here too. Very difficult. She likes to feed every 1-2 hours all through the night and although she doesn’t have colic is very windy and grunts so I’m grateful for recommendations on here to help with digestion.

People keep talking about watching what you eat if your bf to help with this But no one has said what you should/ shouldn’t be eating? Does anyone know?

Love to all and good luck to the final few ladies with babies to be born on this thread xx

peachypetite · 23/12/2020 09:39

@Snowwhite2020 I have a book and it says not eating spicy food etc is all a myth, doesn’t affect your breast milk. Glad to hear your update!

chubbyhotchoc · 23/12/2020 10:12

@kkr168 the gearing test is nothing. They just put tiny ear phones on them and they pick up the ears reaction to them. Literally 2 mins it takes

Candoolili · 23/12/2020 12:00

Have had show this morning. Didn’t get one until just before birth last time. Been up all night with period esque cramps and back pain that never quite developed into contractions. Anyone experienced similar? Last time it was quite clear it was contractions I was experiencing as they were quite wave like from the outset, building to a peak and then fading away...

MaverickDanger · 23/12/2020 12:07

I’ve had the cramps and back ache for the past three nights. Each night I thought I’d wake up fully in labour, but nothing yet.

I’m really shivery today so on the sofa under a blanket.

I was that convinced he would arrive before now, that my massive cheese order has arrived - and there’s only two cheeses that are pasteurised so can’t eat them yet 😭

Candoolili · 23/12/2020 12:15

So frustrating isn’t it Maverick! And I was under the impression second labours were quicker and earlier. I love cheese, might send OH out today to pick up some samples 😀

lc86 · 23/12/2020 13:27

@Kj1010 I definitely agree that OH doesn't realise quite how big an operation we have had. One minute he's telling me not to lift/do anything, the next he is watching me running around doing everything 🤦🏼‍♀️ luckily my mum had caesareans and has been amazing and keeps saying how I need to take it easy or my body will pay for it! On top of that we have the hormone issues and I've had mastitis yet he keeps saying how tired he is! I wish tiredness was my only problem lol xx

lc86 · 23/12/2020 13:28

@Snowwhite2020 my midwife said what we eat doesn't affect the baby so god knows 🤷🏼‍♀️

Kj1010 · 23/12/2020 14:14

@lc86 yep my oh the same dont do this or that but just leaves it but then will say what u want me to do feel like shouting at him saying well every god damn thing needs doing lol but I've nearly got me house back to normal tidyness just a few more bits to do then I can relax and they can all keep on top of it where it done as tomoz I want to spend time with my daughter as I havent yet and feel terrible for it didn't realise how demanding babies can be lol
