Hey! Congrats my lovely.

I’m due august 6th with baby number 2. My DS is 7 in April so there’s a pretty big age gap (not for want of trying over the years)
We finally had a bit of help and I’m praying all remains ok! (I’m 39)

How old is your first? CONGRATS!!

FourBabies · 04/12/2020 18:24

I’m due 1st July but not my second. My 5th lol. Congratulations everyone x

Claire19820 · 05/12/2020 12:14

I'm due early August and my eldest is nearly 20 !! I'm also 39. Last 2 pregnancies ended in miscarriage. My hcg is doubling as it should but I had a scan at 5 weeks and nothing was there. Anybody else experienced this ?

3rdtimelucky2019 · 05/12/2020 12:24

Due 1st July roughly with #2. My DS turns one next week and 12 week scan booked for the 16th. Had booking appointments this week and none of it has really sunk in yet. If I have a successful 12 week scan I'll get my head in the game a little more (two miscarriages before DS so the anxiety for the scan is real now. Private scan at 8+6 all looked good).

dontmesswiththeGC · 05/12/2020 12:42

How about Eden? I have a DD named Eden but had I had a boy it would also have been his name

Peanut91 · 05/12/2020 14:30

I am currently 9 weeks and expecting baby no. 2 mid July. My DS is 2 years 3 months. Feeling so sick and nauseous at the moment. Can't stand up and function without feeling light-headed and sick.
I am still waiting to hear re booking in appointment and 12 week scan but I have been told not to chase the hospital until I am 10 weeks which seems awfully late

Char899 · 05/12/2020 19:37

@Mommabear20 for some reason I’ve only just seen this! I don't think I got a notification! Did you @bellaphant? Confused

Congratulations everyone!
@Mommabear20 how you feeling?

Mommabear20 · 05/12/2020 19:50

Feeling like death today! Have anti sickness tablets that usually help but apparently not today! 🤢 DD luckily has been quiet content to lay on the floor and giggles to herself so momma can lay on the sofa feeling sorry for herself 😂

Char899 · 05/12/2020 19:55

I’ve escaped it mostly today. Felt quite nauseous but havnt been sick. I was however sick yesterday and the day before. I didn’t have this with ds so I’m feeling sorry for myself. Dh is being very attentive though so silver linings and all..

Bellaphant · 05/12/2020 19:56

@Char899, no. Did you ever hear from the midwife, lol?

My little one is 16 months, so my due date is about two weeks after his second birthday.

On anti histamine tablets for sickness but they are proper sedatives, they make me useless - nearly fell asleep in the bath!

I'm 32, got a private scan on Xmas Eve.

Char899 · 05/12/2020 20:11

@Bellaphant No still not heard from the midwife, the receptionist did say they might not get in touch until 8 weeks but I’m going to call again on Thursday and see if I can be put through to her. @Peanut91 kind of same situation as you.. not having anything booked by then seems a little late to me.

Based on my ovulation date I’m due 30th July. Private scan booked on 19th dec (8+1) but debating bringing it forward.... I have a 20 month old ds and I’m 31!

Peanut91 · 05/12/2020 20:14

@Char899 I agree.. especially with Christmas and New year fast approaching. I will chase the hospital this week if I don't hear from them in the next few days.

3rdtimelucky2019 · 05/12/2020 20:40

I wouldn't worry yet until booking. I didn't ring up until 9 weeks pregnant, had booking in at 10 weeks and had letter within days confirming a scan appointment.

3rdtimelucky2019 · 05/12/2020 20:42

(when I rang up to book they said the earliest I would've been seen is 8 weeks anyway).

2Under22021 · 05/12/2020 21:37

Hi

I'm due with my second 19th June....DD has just turned 1 so I'll be joining club 2under2 eeeek!

Anyone finding their second pregnancy completely different from the first? With my DD I wouldn't really have know. I was pregnant except the bump. This time round I'm a tired sickie mess! 12 weeks today so hoping it'll ease.

Congrats all!
X

Mommabear20 · 06/12/2020 07:27

I completely forgot how utterly wretched the first few months of pregnancy are 🤢😭

OP posts:
FTMF30 · 06/12/2020 12:07

@2Under22021 I'm pregnant with my second. My first pregnancy was a bit of a breeze until later in the 3rd trimester. This time around I feel wretched. I'm about 7 weeks and have had a frequent splitting headache, constant debilitating fatigue and on off nausea. I am really hoping it pisses off for the second trimester as I'm feeling quite negative about the pregnancy and how it's affecting DC1 because of the physical problems I am going through. It's hard to find the energy to get myself through the day let alone care for DC1. Roll on the summer and the baby's safe arrival.

Char899 · 06/12/2020 15:31

@2Under22021 I’m pregnant with my second and also finding this totally different to the first. First time around no nausea at all I wouldn’t have even known I was pregnant the first trimester. This time around nauseous everyday. Finding I’m being sick most days now too. Absolutely rotten!

2Under22021 · 06/12/2020 18:53

@Char899 @FTMF30 so glad I'm not alone with this!

In my head I'm thinking maybe I'm having a boy this time round....time will tell.

I was told 12 weeks it should ease....12.5weeks and was still cuddling the toilet this morning Confused

I too am defo tired so feel like my DD isn't getting the best of me and I have been feeling quite guilty

I know it'll all be worth it and my god do I have a new respect for women who go through a real crappy 1st trimester

We've got this ladies Smile

FTMF30 · 07/12/2020 15:21

@2under22021 That's funny because I'm thinking I must be having a girl. DC1 (a boy) was not this hard on me lol. But yes, time will tell x

olderthanyouthink · 07/12/2020 17:17

I found out a week ago and I'm not sure how pregnant I am! LPM says mid June but I'm not convinced I'm 12 weeks, got a scan in a few days. I think this pregnancy feels the same... I'm tired AF and queasy. DD is just 2, so 2.5 year gap.

Amber125 · 07/12/2020 17:31

Congrats guys. Due 4th August with my second child so excited ☺️

Bellaphant · 07/12/2020 21:14

Girls, I am super struggling: I stopped taking the tablets yesterday as they made me feel like I was in a coma, had a fairly good day today until about 5pm where the nausea, sickness and tiredness kicked in. Dh keeps repeating 'try different pills' but I looked them up and they either all reference drowsiness as a side effect, or are super unsafe. He keeps telling me I'm not myself and it wasn't like this last time, to which I point out the 16 month old, wherein he delights in telling me how much extra he is doing to 'help' right now.

Help?

Char899 · 08/12/2020 19:36

@Bellaphant you poor thing. I don’t really know what to advise to be honest. My nausea is progressively getting worse but not to the point it’s affecting me like it is you. I’d only say speak to drs again and let them know you are having a bad reaction to the pills and see if they can suggest anything else!
As far as dh goes.. ignore him! They don’t realise what they say sometimes and how it comes across!

Mommabear20 · 09/12/2020 08:16

@Bellaphant I feel your pain! The tablets I had for the 2nd half of my last pregnancy are barely touching my nausea now :( my DH has been home the last 2 days but is back at work today and I'm dreading it. DH also had the nerve to say ' you knew what you were getting into after the first one so can't complain about it now'. 😡 he's lucky he was still alive to go to work!
