I'm nearly 11 weeks with scan booked for next week. So fed up of feeling nauseous but constantly hungry. Can't sleep at the moment, not sure if it's my hormones. As soon as I lay in bed my mind just races. My son is 2 years 9 months and I think he's getting fed up of this lockdown Confused I'm a stay at home mum and finding it a little difficult to get motivated at the moment. Think that goes for everyone though, pregnant or not, lockdown feels more difficult this time round.

Anonymum30 · 25/01/2021 10:30

@Ndenga1234 I like the idea that the babies are coming in by force!

Merrz · 26/01/2021 15:33

How is everyone doing? I'm 9+3 and feeling awful, been sick 3 times today already and constant nausea. I just want this stage to be over Sad I was the same 1st time around but at least I could stay in bed, that's not really an option with a 2 year old

Bellaphant · 26/01/2021 15:40

I'm about to be 14 weeks and the nausea is finally getting better, but my appetite just isn't coming back, especially not in the evening.

@Anonymum30, I find 4am the hardest!

Merrz · 26/01/2021 15:52

14 weeks seems like such a long time away for me! I know it will pass but feeling so meh right now Confused nothing seems to help and if anything I think this week is the worst yet

Anonymum30 · 27/01/2021 07:52

@Bellaphant yeah you just get to sleep and then have to start the process again after a nighttime wee 😂

@Merrz I know what you mean, it feels endless doesn't it, it's so hard whilst looking after a little one

Merrz · 27/01/2021 14:43

What's everyone drinking? I'm really struggling to drink more than a couple of sips of anything apart from fizzy juice (which is very unlike me) but i feel like i'm getting quite dehydrated, any suggestions?

Bellaphant · 27/01/2021 19:41

@Merrz, lucosade really helped when I was feeling grossm

Bellaphant · 30/01/2021 21:14

14 weeks and my appetite isn't back, and the sickness only flares up every few days but it's still vile. I've been asleep by 9pm 3 times this week: thought after 12 weeks it was going to get easier!!

Janethat · 30/01/2021 21:56

Bellaphant I'm 16 weeks and still needing sleep and feeling sick im hoping it will get better soon 🤞🤣

Char899 · 01/02/2021 19:14

Has anyone felt movement yet? I’m sure I was 18 weeks or so when I felt ds but I’m sure I can already feel something! Not so much kicks or taps but more like a swishing feeling like rolling? Anyone else? I’m 14+3
How’s everyone feeling? I’m still so so tired!

2Under22021 · 02/02/2021 08:31

@Char899 I've been feeling a good few kicks but I'm 21+2.

Found out we're having a little boy which we're over the moon with.

Insomnia is killing me at the moment, at night I can't sleep at all, in the day I'm a zombie...the lights are on but no one is home.

How's everyone doing?

Anonymum30 · 03/02/2021 17:46

@Char899 I thought I felt little movements last week but assumed it was too early (I'm 12 weeks today) but I am certain now that I'm feeling tiny tiny movements occasionally, mostly when sat still on an evening. I think it's easier once you've felt movements before, if this was my first pregnancy I don't think I would have noticed them!

Char899 · 07/02/2021 21:07

@Anonymum30 definitely sure I’m not imagining it and good to know I’m not the only one!

Has anyone found out the sex yet? We found out yesterday at a private scan we are having a girl 💖 super excited as we have a little boy so now we’ll have one of each :)

Pyro29 · 07/02/2021 21:31

Hey all

Pregnant with second baby and due the 27th. Trying not to draw parallels but can't help!
In need of advice. Not sure what to describe it as but here goes:
Was 36 weeks or so in with this pregnancy and sat up at night (as per usual) My 5 year old woke up, come lay on my lap and fell asleep again. I don't know how or why this happened but snapped myself out of this trans-like state trying to breastfeed her!!! Two weeks ago I felt ... a great feeling of loss I guess and for some reason the only thing that made it go away was dressing up a teddy in a baby grow with baby powder all over it and hugging it.
This is getting creepy even by my own standards and I have no idea what on earth to do about this.
Just HELP PLEASE!!! Will this go away and is it just part of the hormones? I can't take this weirdness anymore!

Bellaphant · 07/02/2021 21:33

@Char899, I'm hoping for a girl! The 12 week scan looked quite different to my ds's, but maybe I'm just hopeful.

Scan is 15/03, which is creeping up. No movement yet and I'm going to have to do my midwife appt this week by phone as still with my dps.

Have had an offer accepted on a house tho!

FTMF30 · 20/02/2021 19:31

I thought I'd lost this thread!

How is everyone? Has anyone bought new maternity clothes? I just have a pair of maternity jeans, 2 pairs of maternity harem pants and a couple of maternity/breastfeeding tops. I think that's enough seeing as I'm not going anywhere lol. Plus my other baggier clothes fit just fine. Think I'm wanting to shop out of boredom!

I have my 20 week scan soon. Not sure if I'd like a boy or a girl more. How's everone else's 20 week scans gone (those who've had it)? Are some places still not allowing partners to attend?

Bellaphant · 20/02/2021 22:28

I need new maternity jeggings, I lived in mine and now they have holes!

There was a dodgy paving slab while I was pushing the pushchair earlier, it stopped and went straight into bump! Got bullied into calling 111 but they basically said keep an eye out. So sore though!

Sunshine3105 · 20/02/2021 22:46

Hey Im same..my first turned 1 in january and Im due end of August.....this time is soooo bad....the sickness just dont go away

FTMF30 · 20/02/2021 23:40

@bellaphant Oh no! Hope everything is ok with baby. I'm sure it is - they are so well protected in there, especially a little earlier on in the pregnancy. It doesn't stop the stress though does it. Also, the last thing you need when already battling pregnancy pain/discomfort. Hope you feel better soon 💐.

FTMF30 · 20/02/2021 23:43

@Sunshine3105 Congratulations. Are you based in the UK? I'm convinced lockdown pregnancies have been worse. That's my theory anyway. Lack of socialising and being able to be naturally active is having an effect.

I feel much better tgan I did a good few weeks back. Hopefully you start to feel better soon too.

Sunshine3105 · 21/02/2021 09:03

Thank you hun...yes i live in London...deffo is hard with lockdown....all the restrictions....we are from Slovakia so we are missing our family sooo much....

FTMF30 · 21/02/2021 11:19

Must be very tough with family in a different country and no chance of even a visit at the window. I think we've timed our pregnancies pretty well in terms of due dates. Hopefully a lot of travel restrictions will be eased by then.

Sunshine3105 · 21/02/2021 12:02

I managed to get there in the summer with my first one so my family can meet him ( he was born in January)...but not sure we will be able to do it with second one

FTMF30 · 22/02/2021 10:35

That's a shame.

I'm still annoyed that my partner is not allowed at any scans despite national guidance saying partners should now be allowed. I don't mind midwife appointments and sucked it up for the 12 week scan, but would really like him there for the 20 week scan 😣.
