I have given birth to a beautiful little angel. Shes doing well and healthy.

What a nightmare labour and has out me off future babies lol .
7.12lb born at 12.07pm today. Long labour but got there in the end. God is good. Currently as sick as a dog in the postnatal ward but all is well.

Tink20058 · 16/01/2021 17:30

@PopsicleHustler yey 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Congratulations on your little baby girl xxx

pigletpie2177 · 16/01/2021 17:34

Yay @PopsicleHustler so delighted for you! Hope the active part went quickly after the last week 🙈

PopsicleHustler · 16/01/2021 17:47

It was rocking and rolling size 1.30am. Literally in absolute pain. Got to the hospital and begged for the gas and air. I actually told the midwife if you give me the gas and air right now, I will give you a hundred pounds. They examined me and I was 4cm. I was literally struggling around 7am so they gave me the pethidine. The gas and air at that point had started to wear off and then the pethidine made me throw up. Was chundering during labour. Still til now i havent eaten. Waiting on boiled potatoes for dinner. Hospital food is top notch. Not! Had to have a small stitch and have some grazes but luckily doesnt sting so bad when going to the toilet.
Literally feel like deaths door with the after pains but just waiting now on some meds to help with that.
Hope everyone else is doing ok! Thanks everyone for your well wishes and checking in on me !

@Onekidnoclue haha same! But sooner we go into it sooner it’s over lol! Currently on my ball. Due date tmr. Had some niggles today like period pains and back pain but I am well aware those phase could go on for another two weeks lol.

pigletpie2177 · 16/01/2021 19:42

@Onekidnoclue how you getting on? You're 40+1 now aren't you? Any twinges yet?

I feel like I've lost track of who's had babies now! Have we heard from @ttcchapter1?

We've nearly filled the thread!!

Bunnycrazy · 16/01/2021 21:59

Congratulations on your arrival @PopsicleHustler! I'm currently trying to burn some oils - clary sage, lavender and peppermint to see if this helps. Definitely making me feel more calm.

Onekidnoclue · 16/01/2021 22:06

Oh yes. We need a new thread soon.
I’m still cooking over here. Had pineapple dates and a shag. Was tempt by a curry but can’t face the acid reflux 😂😂😂

Congratulations @PopsicleHustler! At least you've got a beautiful baby to make all the pain worth it.

Still cooking here too.

WhoUsedMyName · 17/01/2021 11:59

@Onekidnoclue & a shag 😂😂 just keep going for it

Onekidnoclue · 17/01/2021 17:00

Come on @VeeVeeBee77 we need to sort ourselves out and get these babies out. Though if I’m honest I’m not sure I can be arsed this evening. Maybe tomorrow 🤞

We definitely do @onekidnoclue! I've been feeling more tightenings and things over the weekend but nothing I can categorically say is labour unfortunately. Got a sweep arranged for later in the week if no baby by then so fingers crossed

xsxsxsxs · 17/01/2021 22:19

Congratulations @PopsicleHustler!

I lost my mucus plug today, what a lovely brown thing that was Hmm .. been getting little cramps for a couple days now. Still got 13 days till due date, but at my checkup yesterday was told I’d likely not make it that far as my cervix has already started opening up Grin

End of this week would be perfect

ttcchapter1 · 18/01/2021 03:47

Hi everyone!

Had my beautiful baby boy on Monday 11th of January ❤️

Went into proper labour 4am Sunday morning, was in labour until Monday at around 1pm, fully dilated, fully effaced, no complications, pushing in full swing and then I'm told his head isn't coming down fast enough and I need to consider a c section.

Within 30 mins I'm being rushed to theatre and being told they will try and deliver vaginally but will most likely be a section, I was allowed any pain relief other than gas and air and the odd diamorphine injection before I got to late stage labour so totally exhausted by this stage, I also had to be put to sleep totally for the section under GA for health reasons but already knew this would be the case, the pain by the time I was in theatre was unbearable and all I remember is begging them to put me to sleep 😬.

Woke up in the room at around 4.30pm and was told he was born at 3.19 and I held him in my arms 🥰

First day I was fine with usual c section pains etc but then my temperature and pulse spiked, in a nutshell, I didn't get home till Saturday (6 days in hosp) due to an undetected urine infection, 2 blood drips, 1 fluid drip and lots and lots of liquid morphine to help with the pain!

But he was 100000% worth it all ❤️❤️ good luck everyone and thank you so much for being such a huge support during my pregnancy.

Onekidnoclue · 18/01/2021 04:01

Wow @ttcchapter1 what a dramatic entry to the world. Sounds so incredibly stressful. Hope you and you’d baby are doing well at home. Sounds as though he was fine and you’ve been through the mill! X

Hey ladies,

I was on the old January thread and I've been quietly watching this post for a few weeks. I'm 39 weeks tomorrow, lost my mucus plug yesterday and more again this morning feeling loads of tightenings and twinges. Hoping the little one comes soon. How is everyone feeling on here? And congrats to all of you who have had your babies 🥰🥰🥰

Onekidnoclue · 19/01/2021 10:04
