WhoUsedMyName · 13/01/2021 10:22

@pigletpie2177 @Onekidnoclue thank you ladies will speak with the mw again today and let you no xx

VeeVeeBee77 · 13/01/2021 10:40

Congratulations @pollyoaks!

@pigletpie2177 I have a little bit but I'm not sure how much you have to do for it to be effective

Bunnycrazy · 13/01/2021 10:54

@PollyOaks congratulations on your arrival

footprintsintheslow · 13/01/2021 12:02

@PollyOaks well done you! So fast and he is so perfect. How are you?

Sore nipples all round here. Can't recommend Lansinoh enough as it's very soothing. Bloody kills though, but at least that's just the short term and I know life gets easier

How is everyone?

PopsicleHustler · 13/01/2021 13:31

@footprintsintheslow

Currently in the bath and just hoping that things will ramp up. At this rate, I will probably post next january, that i have had her lol. I have never known a slow latent phase labour like this with a 5th baby!!!

Hope your all doing well and enjoying your lovely new babies!

pigletpie2177 · 13/01/2021 14:24

@PopsicleHustler that seems like absolute madness. I was told I could have sweeps from 38 weeks if I wanted - not sure why you can't have one til 41 but is it because labour already underway?

@VeeVeeBee77 I saw something on the NCT website about it so might have a go later. If I'm struggling I reckon my husband will be happy to help 😂

@footprintsintheslow so glad everything is going well, and glad you're still popping in to update us! Lansinoh also makes excellent lip balm!

@WhoUsedMyName no harm in asking the question at the very least. I had to wake my little boy up every few hours to feed at first as he was so lethargic when he was born, and we hadn't even been through a labour!

HannahP2014 · 13/01/2021 14:59

Aw all these babies are just so lovely!!
What a beautiful thing in such an awful world right now!
39+1 today, had an appointment and was examined i was 1cm, had a sweep too she said she could stretch a fair bit!
Sat on the birthing ball hoping for progress, impatiently awaiting baby three ❤️

Jcmummy32 · 13/01/2021 17:14

I’m now 6 days overdue... been on the ball all afternoon hoping for aaaanything. If any of you ladies have had any luck bringing on labor with previous babies then I am all ears. I feel so fed up :(

HannahP2014 · 13/01/2021 17:18

@Jcmummy32 walking has helped me the previous two times! This time I’ve had a stretch and sweep early due to them not wanting me to go over, have they offered that yet? Thinking of you!!

Onekidnoclue · 13/01/2021 18:27

@Jcmummy32 when do you see your MW next? Are you booked in for an induction if you go on much longer?

OP posts:
Jcmummy32 · 13/01/2021 18:38

Thank you @HannahP2014 yeah I’ve had two sweeps and no movement... :(. I’m quite an active person and have been walking loads so today for the first time I’ve tried a different tactic and done nothing for once... I hope it works...

@Onekidnoclue I’ve got an appointment with MW tomorrow morning... they’re going to give me another sweep just to try it again and if he’s not here by Friday afternoon... it’s induction for me... I’m dreading it :(

HannahP2014 · 13/01/2021 18:43

@Jcmummy32 oh they like to make us wait don’t they these babies!!
I’ll keep everything crossed for you x

Astro562 · 13/01/2021 19:33

I had another unsuccessful sweep yesterday, so fed up! I’m due to be induced on Friday too @Jcmummy32. Midwife said they will likely do a pessary, I’m dreading it!

Jcmummy32 · 13/01/2021 20:00

How far along are you @Astro562 - I’m getting my third sweep tomorrow and praying it works as a last minute miracle :(

Astro562 · 13/01/2021 20:18

9 days overdue. Midwife said my cervix is naturally really far back and there was no point trying another sweep before Friday. I’ve been getting a lot of cramps in my back and upper thighs, I’m hoping this is the start of something!

WhoUsedMyName · 13/01/2021 20:23

@pigletpie2177 @Onekidnoclue he lost more weight 😣 all I've done today is cry! Waiting for tt specialist to call and have been toping him up with 1ounce of formula after every feed will see mw again Monday xx

Jcmummy32 · 13/01/2021 20:27

@Astro562 I feel you so much! I’m a week now. I feel like I’m getting phantom pains because I’m so desperate for it to happen. Keep waking up In the morning feeling defeated that it didn’t happen overnight. Trying to be positive... this time next week, neither of us should be pregnant!

Onekidnoclue · 13/01/2021 20:35

@WhoUsedMyName it’s horrendous but I’m really pleased you’ve been referred for TT and booked to see the MW again. Formula should help. My lo loved bottles. He’s so lazy. I think even without the TT he’d prefer the food was just poured down his throat rather than have to make the effort to suck!

WhoUsedMyName · 13/01/2021 20:38

Lol that made me laugh a boy after my own heart.

WhoUsedMyName · 13/01/2021 20:39

He was born at 7lb 6 he's two weeks old yesterday and only 6lb 12 I feel awful for him

Onekidnoclue · 13/01/2021 21:06

Two weeks! Time has flown @WhoUsedMyName it’s a long time to be struggling with feeding though. Have you had a TT baby before? Have you bf your other babes?

OP posts:
footprintsintheslow · 14/01/2021 00:26

Come on babies!! We want brighten up this world!

WhoUsedMyName · 14/01/2021 09:36

@Onekidnoclue I have bf all of them and can't see a problem bf this one other than on the right side it's hard to get him to latch if he's not in a great position but the pain isn't unbearable which with tt usually is but mw thinks his is posterior tt not sure what difference this makes x

Onekidnoclue · 14/01/2021 10:19

@WhoUsedMyName posterior TT is a sneaky one. It often gets missed because it’s not as horrendous but still makes a difference. Sounds like you’ve got the knack. It’s just the latch. X
