Hi all, I'm new too but occasionally lurked on another Jan 2021 thread. Second baby boy, due on the 10th as well!

LiG123 · 20/11/2020 07:51

Joining on-

Raspberry leaf tea started 32 weeks too. 🤞🏼🤞🏼

footprintsintheslow · 20/11/2020 07:57

@Perfect28

Why are you discussing ways to induce Labour this early on?
I don't know who is discussing that but I've only got 7 weeks to go so I like to be prepared. I imagine some are due even earlier. When are you due?
Onekidnoclue · 20/11/2020 08:12

Hello to the newbies! Really glad to have you with us.
I’m due 15 jan with DS2.
Thankfully no spd which sounds absolutely vile @DuchessofPemberley and @WhoUsedMyName
No clue on evening primrose or raspberry tea but last labour went a bit squiffy so would like to do things differently. Will get on the google!
Sorry to hear you may not get a choice @footprintsintheslow I know it’s not what you wanted but tbh I’m a tiny bit jealous. All the mums I know who had planned sections thought the experience was great, calm and easier to plan when you need childcare. I appreciate the recovery is much tougher.
I think this baby might be breech due to where his kicks are but I’m only about 31 weeks so too early to matter really.

@Onekidnoclue I had the same with my first. Ended in a section and I'm determined not to let that happen again and hoping for a natural!

In my diary I have the following

Eat dates
drink rapsberry leaf tea
Bath in clary sage
'P' massage
Loads of sex (from 37 weeks)
Harvest colostrum

I looked up the weeks for each. A lot is to start at 37 weeks which is Xmas eve so I've been banned until Boxing Day 🤣

When are you going to start eating dates?

I've got clary sage oil but haven't opened it yet I'm petrified it will send me into early labour haha! I don't even know what it smells like. I suspect it's vile.

MnM156 · 20/11/2020 09:52

@footprintsintheslow My baby is measuring very small. Was only at 4th centile last week around 3.13 lbs. I have another scan next week but they say it would not become a bog baby miraculously and has better chances to grow outside than inside.

footprintsintheslow · 20/11/2020 10:13

@MnM156 is this your first baby? I'm
Wondering if you have anything to compare to?

My friend was told a similar thing but she didn't want to be induced and they let her keep going and she had extra scans to check how the placenta was doing. The baby came a week late and weighed 7lb.

Personally I'd be too scared to go against medical advice but other people know what they want.

LiG123 · 20/11/2020 10:15

@greenette dates I have at 36 weeks.

I haven't opened the clary sage oil either. Found a lovely home made bath bomb company and ordered clary sage bath bombs too 🤞🏼

Thank you. I'll add that to my diary!

MnM156 · 20/11/2020 11:49

@footprintsintheslow This is my first baby. He has Talipes as well so getting more monitoring. I have a scan next week and see how much he has grown in these 2 weeks. They will then give me a date for induction. I am really really scared. Not for the induction but baby's wellbeing. Won't go against medical advice.

WhoUsedMyName · 20/11/2020 11:53

@Skyla01 yes drinking upto 3 cups per day but apparently the capsules are stronger so may try them later on :)

WhoUsedMyName · 20/11/2020 11:54

@DuchessofPemberley it's draining isn't it ! I'm ok once I'm I'm and moving but to go from sitting or laying it's impossible especially if the door knocks or my phone isn't in reach I just miss it no chance of moving fast x

WhoUsedMyName · 20/11/2020 12:00

@PopsicleHustler this is number 5 for us too!
3 boys
1 girl all two years apart from 7-13
And we are having a lovely surprise boy 7 years later! 😂

WhoUsedMyName · 20/11/2020 12:06

@footprintsintheslow I'm from Hertfordshire

LiG123 · 20/11/2020 12:19

@MnM156 I have to tell you- one of my mum friends had this with her baby but it was a really bad case. Foot almost facing backwards.

Anyone she had a op quite young bjt she was the first one walking out of 9 babies the same age. You'd never know she's so determined.

MnM156 · 20/11/2020 12:26

@LiG123 Thanks a lot for sharing this. I am not very worried about the Talipes. I have been in touch with paediatric orthopaedics and they have a treatment plan in place. I know that it can be treated completely 99% of the times. I am just very worried abt the growth issue. It could be linked to some genetic or chromosomal defect. My 12 week blood scans all came very clear but his slow growth could be a sign of other defects. And that keeps me up at nights. I am going for an induction in 3/4 weeks time. I am only praying for a healthy baby. The foot issue will be resolved. Fingers crossed.

LiG123 · 20/11/2020 12:28

@MnM156 I'm sure all will be fine with your little fighter! 🥰

starsinyourpies · 20/11/2020 12:45

I'm new here as well but due DC3 in Jan and it's all starting to get a bit real! Grin

PopsicleHustler · 20/11/2020 13:39

I'm from surrey!!!
@WhoUsedMyName

How interesting. There is 2 years between our 3 youngest. And there will be a 13 year gap between the eldest and baby number 5. How amazing

Congratulations and God bless

MeganC104 · 20/11/2020 13:59

Hi everyone, I'm a FTM. Currently 32+2. So uncomfortable at the moment. Experiencing nausea, itchy skin and dreaded 'roids which I'm on medication for now.

Is everyone here from UK?

SunSparkle · 20/11/2020 14:29

Would anyone be interested in a Facebook group? I could set something up if so.

Suggestion for name of the group very much welcomed! I'm not very creative!

I know other groups were set up and made private which meant they couldn't be seen but also meant that they were very tricky to join if you missed the first invite. I could keep it open and public for a few weeks if that would be helpful?

You could make it visible not hidden so people can find it and request to join but not see the content until they are a member. I do feel the content should be private and only members can see. Could set up a few questions for people to answer?

All the groups I've joined sound the same
January 2021 bumps
January 2021 babies

I'm not creative either. I found the other thread though

LiG123 · 20/11/2020 15:12

@SunSparkle my Original group for the son is nothing to do with babies or bjt th so random people don't join.

Example

moon and stars
Sun and sea
Daisy and buttercup

LiG123 · 20/11/2020 15:13

Babies or birth that was so random people don't try to join.

It's more hidden
