So torn about putting this under pregnancy or parenting 🥴 I think we’re halfway there on deliveries - just a last push needed!

I’m currently in hospital waiting for my waters to be broken but labour ward is full. They say I’m next in the queue apparently but I don’t believe them I’m giving it until 3-4pm and heading home because I can just see a repeat of what happened last time and I don’t want to go through that again. So just want to be at home with home comforts and go into labour myself as they will just keep me in the ward for days on end waiting which just tires me out for the labour and birth as the wards are busy and loud etc

40+2

@Onekidnoclue thought I'd reply to you on this thread. No progress really lost loads more of my plug yesterday, finding it very difficult to walk still getting tightenings and twinges but nothing further happening. Just want her out now. It gets so hard at this stage doesn't it. How far along are you now? I was induced at 39 weeks with my last daughter but swore I wouldn't be induced again so just gotta wait this out the natural way 😂🙇🏽‍♀️

Hey I’m 38+ 4 having a CS on Monday but my tummy has gone so hard since last night feels so uncomfy to sit down, lie down, do anything! Between worried the baby will come naturally to Hoping it does and wanting it out. This bit really drags

I’m still WAITING! Getting increasingly angry at everything and everyone 😂😂😂 this poor baby is going to be born to a horrible dragon woman. Had a stretch and sweep and apparently my cervix is “favourable”...

Thanks for the new thread @Onekidnoclue. Good news on the "favourable" cervix (though I still rank that phase alongside "hostile womb" and "spinster". Hopefully the sweep will have triggered something though.

39+4 for me today. My SIL (who was due day after me) had her baby yesterday, albeit by planned CS. No unusual movements/feelings here so think this baby is still comfy. I'm not feeling desperate to evict yet but I'm gently encouraging via pineapple, dates, colostrum harvesting, ball bouncing and sex ☺️

Hope everyone's doing ok - how's little one feeding now @WhoUsedMyName? Hope you are ok @ttcchapter1!

@pigletpie2177 I forgot to tell you!!! He's now 7lb 9 he was born 3 weeks ago 7.6 so not huge amount but great considering he dropped so much. I'm bf more for his comfort then anything or my own guilt comfort but he's having 3ounces of formula each feed xx

Onekidnoclue · 19/01/2021 15:56

That’s brilliant @WhoUsedMyName ! Once he’s back above birthweight you can breath a bit easier.
Boob and formula combo is the dream in my book! You don’t need to do the vit d drops and they’re not totally reliant on you because of the formula. But then you get the comfort and no guilt boob food too. Winner 💪💪💪

@pigletpie2177 totally agree with you on phrasing. I feel anything gynae is either unrealistically cutesey or really grim. It’s either mucus plug and smear test 🤮 or favourable cervix and stargazing baby.

@WhoUsedMyName that's brilliant news! Do not have mum guilt about combi-feeding either - you're doing brilliantly! So glad he's put that weight back on 😍

@Onekidnoclue agreed - mucus plug could definitely have been included. My DH asked me to please stop saying the word "sweep" today as it was making him feel a bit 🤮 he's lucky he hasn't experienced one if he's that squeamish! I'm yet to tell him that it's actually a "membrane stretch and sweep" as that might tip him over the edge. God help me in labour if he's gonna be such a mard 😂

Report
Onekidnoclue · 19/01/2021 17:58

@pigletpie2177 “membrane stripping” is the one I can’t deal with. Definitely doesn’t seem the kind of thing I’d normally volunteer for! Think you might need a bossy midwife to keep your DH in check. I was hugely unlucky and had a very pretty one who was lovely to my very stressed out DH last time. I was a total cow and would rather she’d been a bossy old snake who’d told him to get a grip 😂

I am due next Monday 25th. Not had any signs. Just braxton hicks on and off. FTM. I've tried burning the clary sage oil, eating dates, hot curry, bouncing on ball and DTD. Just keeping myself going by saying she will arrive when she is ready. Hoping MW will give me a sweep next week if nothing has started. Come on little girl.

40+5 here and getting impatient! Sweep later on this week then induction next week if no result, just want little one to be here now.

I’m 40+4 so I think @VeeVeeBee77 is entitled to jump ahead of me! Everyone else needs to wait their turn 😂
I’m feeling pretty crampy. Might be the start or could just be the consequences of the s&s/fanny punching earlier.

@WhoUsedMyName I'm not due til Friday when I have another sweep booked - DH has a big meeting he would quite like to avoid on Monday so is torn between hoping for this weekend, and not wanting it to interrupt the Man Utd v Liverpool game on Sunday 🙈😂 so far I've dodged all hints to book an induction and they've now said I can have a sweep at 41 weeks if we get there, and then make decisions after that.

@Onekidnoclue @Bunnycrazy hopefully some of these twinges go somewhere for you soon!

Have any of you ever gone over 42 weeks (with these babies or previous ones) and how did babies come in the end? I don't want to end up in EMCS situation but this baby seems pretty comfy and I don't really want to forcibly evict if I can avoid it.

@pigletpie2177 how funny you say about football. (baby's cord was to short to pass him up to me) mw said to dh I need your hands take the baby he said let me take my shirt off quick it's the new one!! His Spurs shirt!!

@WhoUsedMyName 😂 if he'd thought faster he could have said he really wanted skin to skin having researched the benefits haha! DH is a Man Utd season ticket holder - when we had our little boy by planned cs he knew I would be in for two nights and he would be thrown out at 9pm - so decided he could go to the home leg of some random European game which would mean him leaving about 7pm. I gave him a death stare and said "well yes, our first baby will be all of about 34 hours old so the novelty will probably have worn off by then". He got the message 🙊

I’m in bed with bloody painful cramps. Wind is howling outside. DS has just had a weepy strop and I’m starting to change my mind on this whole childbirth thing! Perhaps I could have a little holiday and come back to late pregnancy and birth when I’m a bit more rested and up for it???

My DH is a Liverpool fan and thinks our one will arrive during the game on Sunday as well. Out to stay home to watch end of match if I go into labour during game. I've that happens I'm planning on bouncing on ball and making load of noise until he gets the hint.
