I'm doing well thanks for asking @pigletpie2177 . That's a shame about your unfavourable sweep 🤮 but it could still get the ball rolling get on birthing ball whist eating curried pineapple then go for it with the dh 😂xx

PopsicleHustler · 15/01/2021 16:14

Update- couldn't go for my midwife appointment as literally the contractions have really picked up. Along with I can feel my cervix stretching or loosening up. Am sure the neighbours are wondering what the hell is going on.

Will keep you all posted
but I feel things are on the way.

Hope everyone having a lovely afternoon and has a nice evening. Wouldnt it be wonderful to have my baby for the weekend

Question for those who have just had their baby, how long was it before you left the hospital, and where the midwives quite urgent in wanting you to leave sooner due to Covid?

Bunnycrazy · 15/01/2021 16:37

Fingers crossed that it all goes quickly now the contractions have ramped up! @PopsicleHustler

pigletpie2177 · 15/01/2021 19:37

Oooh that sounds promising @PopsicleHustler keep us updated!

Any news on the inductions @MCR2021 @Jcmummy32? Hope you guys are feeling ok!

@WhoUsedMyName got home from appointment and expressed a full syringe of colostrum (best attempt yet) and then bounced on ball for a bit. Just had a curry (not spicy though cos I'm a mard ha) and will give DH the cone to bed eyes in a bit - possibly about 8.30pm cos I'm constantly knackered nowadays 😂

WhoUsedMyName · 15/01/2021 19:56

@PopsicleHustler I'm excited for you!! In Hertfordshire they are trying to get everyone out in 6hours , @pigletpie2177 you go girl I couldn't think of anything worse than my dh at that point but I was willing to do all it took 😂

PopsicleHustler · 15/01/2021 20:29

Hi ladies...

I am having contractions now every 6 to 8 mins non stop for the past 4 hours. Let's hope they keep up with their consistency.
I'd love the next time I message on here to say that I have had her.
God bless all

Lollipop93 · 15/01/2021 20:45

Good luck @PopsicleHustler!!!

Lollipop93 · 15/01/2021 20:45

When is it they say head to the hospital? How often do they need to come etc?

Onekidnoclue · 15/01/2021 20:55

@Lollipop93 I was told 411. So four minutes apart. 1 minute long for one hour.

When I am having one every 3 to 4 mins and/or in absolute agony

Lollipop93 · 15/01/2021 21:01

Thank you @Onekidnoclue

I live about an hour away from hospital so it’s good to know. I suppose I’ll just listen to my body and hopefully know when it’s best for me to go! Not too early and not too late haha!

footprintsintheslow · 16/01/2021 10:12

@Jcmummy32 hoping you have some news by now.

@MCR2021 I remember you and glad to see you back.

@PopsicleHustler can't believe you are still going. Your body must love to hold onto these babies!

As for leaning hospital they said I had to stay for 6 hours for them to do their baby checks but then I could leave. It used to be that only a dr could do the checks and discharge you but now midwives can so there was no waiting around. They also let my husband stay until we all went home together. I didn't feel rushed out but I was happy to come home. Not sure what they'd have done if I'd wanted to stay longer.

WhoUsedMyName · 16/01/2021 12:02

Morning everyone 😊 any updates xx

WhoUsedMyName · 16/01/2021 12:02

Tink20058 · 16/01/2021 12:04

Well I managed to finish a full cup of tea this morning and wearing my own pants instead of disposable ones 🤣🤣 feel like I’m winning lol xx

WhoUsedMyName · 16/01/2021 12:47

You are smashing it @Tink20058 ! X

PollyOaks · 16/01/2021 14:45

@Lollipop93 I would say go with your body and how you feel, I was in triage at 2am because my waters had gone but contractions were still 20 mins apart but they wanted to check me over as I was being discharged I said to the MW that they were already stronger and closer and she said its because she had just examined me and to to home and rest. I got home 2.30am and got in the bath by 3.30am I was ringing them again telling them I couldn't cope at home I needed to come in for pain relief she was like well you can but you can only have pethedine and will have to stay in triage I was like yeah I don't care I just need something 🙈😂 so I got there at 3.30am before the doctor came up and administered the pethedine I was taken to delivery and I said I want epidural now instead it got that intense and before my blood results came back for me to have it they said it was too late he's on his way and called my husband and he was born 30mins later at 6am husband was lucky to make it luckily we only live a few minutes from the hospital!

PopsicleHustler · 16/01/2021 16:05

Guess what......

Lollipop93 · 16/01/2021 16:06

@PollyOaks that’s the scary thing it’s so hard to know and I’ve heard so many stories like this where midwives and staff just don’t believe people when they say about the pain! Surely they should know by now to trust mothers instincts too. If I’m in pain enough pain to go to hospital I want drive all the way home!

Lollipop93 · 16/01/2021 16:09

Won’t want to drive all the way home* especially as it’s an hour away :(

Lollipop93 · 16/01/2021 16:15

@PopsicleHustler tell us!! I think I can guess! Xxx

WhoUsedMyName · 16/01/2021 16:24

pigletpie2177 · 16/01/2021 17:11
