@Starfish762 hi I also had a small gush of bright red blood at 9 weeks. Mine was a haematoma but it was small 1cm and wasn’t easy to find the sonographer had to search for it as it wasn’t right next to the baby like some are. She just said it was like a bruise on my uterus that would disappear eventually. It has now. The bigger the haematoma the bigger the bleed. Fingers crossed that all is ok for you and it’s good that it’s stopped. Have the cramps calmed down? X

@Starfish762 don’t be surprised if you get brown now for awhile mine lasted nearly a couple of weeks after my bleed. Keep us informed regarding epu and things. Sending a big hand hold xxxx

@ew1990 @Pugprincess @SkyBlue20 thank you that did reassure me, but I’ve continued to bleed through the night so it’s not looking good 😭 I’ve had to change my pad every 3 hours which they said wasn’t class as heavy, but it still goes into the toilet every time I wee (so it’s not the gush you both described) so I just don’t see how it could be good news. The cramps haven’t come back so that’s 1 small positive, but I’m sure it’s just because I’m at the start of things.

I think the EPU is closed all weekend so I’ll ring the out of hours ward again this morn, but I don’t think they’ll have me in I’ll prob have to wait until Monday for EPU ☹️ I’ve had a tiny bit of sleep but not much, what are the odds this has happened to me again?! After a successful scan on Thursday 😩 And such an complicated pregnancy with DD. 2020 really can just F off now 😢

@Starfish762 I’m so sorry 💕 if you need to lie about how many pads you’re going through to get seen, just do it. Anything to help your mental health - waiting all weekend would just be horrible. How is it this morning? Xxx

Aw @Starfish762 I'm thinking of you and have everything crossed. I'd 100% lie too, no sleep and the stress won't be helping baby and your mental health. I hope they can see you. Big big hugs xx 💕

@Starfish762 keeping everything crossed for you that it's a haematoma. Really hope they get you seen today. Sending lots of positive vibes and thinking of you 💕💕

Thanks ladies, I just can’t stop crying 😢 I’ve got an apt for 10.10 tomorrow for a scan so least that’s sooner than Monday, no way could I have faced hours in A&E alone. I’ve got a small glimmer of hope that it could be a hematoma but there’s been so much blood I just don’t think so, plus it wasn’t picked up on my 2 private scans. Thanks for the support ladies.

Oh @Starfish762 how scary for you. I had a biggish bleed on 11 weeks (soaked through to the sheets and dripping into the toilet). It was a Saturday and our last day of our holiday. Like you I was terrified. I rang the EPU who couldn't see me until the Monday, so like you had to wait. I don't think I ate all weekend. At the scan baby was fine and no reason found for the bleed. I had my 12 week scan that same week and they couldn't find anything there either. I then bled again at 12+4, EPU refused to scan me as my cervix was closed and no obvious reason for bleeding on my previous scans, so I booked a private one for the same day and they found a 3 cm hematoma. So they can miss things on scans or they can just appear very quickly. I bled again at 14+4 but 18+1 now and not bled since. Though like @Pugprincess said I had brown for some time after the initial gushing. No cramps is a good sign, I know it's so tough but try to focus on staying rested and hydrated until your scan when you will hopefully know more. Sending hugs your way ❤

@DanceM1 how are you feeling today? It's good they are going to check on you in a few weeks, but like the others have said it's probably more of a precaution as they don't seem to think it affects babies badly now. My friend had it at 19 weeks and all was fine. It is so scary how contagious it is, from January my husband will be back training mainly teenagers and I'm really hoping he doesn't bring it home.

Alsp @starfish762 at my private scan after the second bleed the sonographer didn't say anything about the hematoma until I asked her... so not sure of they would mention it even if they had spotted it
When I asked she said yes I spotted it straight away but she hadn't said a thing!

@Starfish762 sorry to hear there’s more, could you get a private one today? I just couldn’t wait when I had it x

Report
Starfish762 · 07/11/2020 10:17

@Workingmama1 thank you, that’s reassuring. I think I’m 90% sure it’s bad news though because there’s been SO much blood, not just 1 big gush, it’s still happening now on & off just slightly lighter. I’m holding onto the fact I don’t have cramps though, and I need some hope to get me through the day & try to get some sleep tonight. I text my assigned MW to let her know & she said she’ll come with me tomorrow if the ward sister in charge tomorrow lets her 🤞🏼 They really are angels!

@Pugprincess I checked the private scan availability last night & it’s fully booked all weekend.

DH is taking DD outside for a few hours so I can read a book in silence & try to switch off.

Hi ladies - just wanted to pop on after my scan and say that sadly my dates didn’t match up :( so I’ll be off this thread for now (but am positive I’ll be back someday in the future!) OH and I are ok, obviously it wasn’t what we had hoped, but I was prepared for the news to go either way due to my previous experience. Just got to wait to see if things happen naturally now. I wish you all a happy and anxious free remainder of your pregnancies :) x

Morning ladies.

@bellabubble I am so so sorry, even if you were prepared I know it must still be incredibly difficult for you ❤

@starfish762 I'm sorry you've had such a difficult time, really hoping everything goes well for you today.

@skyBlue20 thank you for asking. I feel dreadful today- chest isn't good and coughing lots again. Also just generally exhausted. Yesterday was a little better. I think its the nature of this virus to feel like you're improving then to suddenly be knocked back down again. But im just taking good care of myself. Hoping I'll have another "good" phase this afternoon. It seems to all be ups and downs! It was also my due date yesterday from the MMC so its been an emotional week all round!

How is everybody else doing? Any exciting updates from anyone? @skyBlue have you had more movement??

Oh @Bellabubble I'm so sorry tonhear that. Please take care of yourself and hope to see you back soon 🤞

@Starfish762 I hope it goes well today

@DanceM1 hope it clears off soon and you start to feel better.

No updates from me, getting a few episodes of movement each day which is nice, little taps letting me know he's in there.

I'm actively trying to get excited, it dawned on me this week how its not really normal to be so unattached at this stage. It made me really sad to realise how much the MMC and bleeding had taken the joy out of this for me. Trying to say he/him instead of it is helping. I'm just been keeping it purposely at a distance so I don't get hurt and apart from the physical signs basically ignoring the fact that I am pregnant, but I'm not sure that is really helpful or healthy....

Report
SmileyT · 08/11/2020 12:40

@Workingmama1 I don't think there is a 'normal' when it comes to pregnancy, some people will order their prams, have found out the gender and decorated the nursery by 10weeks, I'm nearly 22weeks and haven't bought a single item of clothing/ furniture etc yet as it still feels really early for me. Don't beat yourself up if you aren't doing pregnancy exactly the same as somebody else or previous pregnancies as every experience is different and you love your baby and want him to be safe and well, I definitely don't think that is unhealthy xx

@Bellabubble sending you lots of love and hoping you'll be back on here before long ❤️

@Starfish762 how amazing that you had an assigned MW with you this morning... really hoping it went well? xx

@Sakura54 I haven't met a midwife yet so no charts for me, but moved my first face to face appt forward so hopefully we'll cover loads of this stuff at the appt x
