@hopefulmummie yeah I understand.. you definitely need it more than I did. Try and get a private scan as soon as you can!

@skyBlue20 its a bit of a nightmare week it seems 🤣 but its ok... im kinda convinced I've just got a cold but I guess time will tell! Problem is even with a cold my cough quickly gets worse with my asthma. Anyway.. so far I'm not panicking about it so 🤞 I actually mentioned the hip pain to the doctor when she called about the flu jab. She was really lovely (and apologetic ha) but said there isn't much they can do as doctors other than recommend paracetamol?! She did however send me a link to some useful information and exercises from the women's hospital in Liverpool so ill try that. I called the midwife this morning and left a message but she hasnt phoned back. So nice that you are feeling movements!!! Yeyy.. it will be baby! You know really, you're just second guessing yourself! I feel more when I'm in bed too.. or lying on the couch. Think thats what my panic was about on Monday because it was the first day back after a week off and it was really busy so no lying down til late on!

I'm not worrying about lockdown tbh because i will still be going to work so it will feel normal. Obviously I can't see friends and family which is rubbish but its just a few weeks. Im hoping it will make me feel a bit better about school knowing that children are (should be) mixing less outside of school.

ew1990 · 04/11/2020 17:16

Hi to the new ladies! Wishing you lots of luck for upcoming scans.

Lockdown doesn't change nothing for me really. Still going to work and I have to see my mum to drop my daughter off as Shes my childcare.

@skyblue20 I could see my belly rippling before bit couldn't feel it inside.

I spent 20 minutes vomiting this morning. Still feel iffy now. Really hope morning sickness isn't coming back 😩

Sakura54 · 04/11/2020 17:29

Welcome new ladies.

Had another vaginal scan and funnily my cervix got longer so they’ve discharged me from their care. They aren’t too concerned and if I were to have another preemie, it’d have to be dealt with as and when, so back to normal MW I go. I guess I’ll wait for my consultant appt to find out the earliest they will give me a ELCS. Got to see baby a tiny bit and listen to heartbeat again. Also they are sending my urine off for testing once again but I’m not bothered as last time it was fine and it’s good to get checked out. Got the W. Cough jab out the way too.

I think at my next appt, they will measure my bump which will be interesting. I’ll make sure to have a tiny breakfast so that they can see my true tiny bump and not bloat. My bloating makes me much bigger.

@bubblybon20 I also still end up on my back which is annoying because it disturbs my sleep as I’m conscious of it. Back is just more comfy. Going to be lying on my right for the next week whilst my left arm heals from the jab so even more restricted. I can’t remember why but I didn’t really use my pregnancy pillow last time. Maybe I wasn’t that bothered about side sleeping?

@DanceM1 Hope the test will be negative! My nephew’s teacher got a positive so they’ve had to all self isolate, but back to school tomorrow. Half term was good timing for them.

I reckon at this stage, it must be kicks! Baby is quite big now. @SkyBlue20

SkyBlue20 · 04/11/2020 19:05

Well baby just booted me a fair few times whilst I was just sitting doing some bits on my laptop, there was no mistaking that! 😆 She’s getting strong! I could even feel it from outside again 🥰 Yay, movements!! So happy, I’ve been so worried.

@DanceM1 Frustrating that the doc couldn’t give you more than paracetamol but hopefully the exercises will help 🤞🏼

@ew1990 Oh no, not sickness! Hope it was a one off for you. I actually had a moment today where I felt really sick, too, like back in the early days. It passed really quickly but was so strong.

@Sakura54 Glad your appt went well! Good to have everything checked out ☺️

Threnody · 04/11/2020 19:05

Midwife was lovely and is referring me for an early scan. She also offered to refer me to the mental health midwife about the anxiety, but I think I'll see how I feel after the scan.

DanceM1 · 04/11/2020 21:01

@sakura54 oh thats a shame about your nephews class but half term was good timing!

@skyBlue20 I know. To be fair I dont want anything medication wise. The midwife called me back and said I can self refer to the physio and gave me a number so think ill call them tomorrow!

SmileyT · 04/11/2020 21:04

@bubblybon20 I'm like @Poppy10121 and @ew1990 sleep with one arm over a pillow so it's kinda raised but still no idea how it's comfortable because my tummy feels humongous. Pregnancy is just bloody weird 😂

Congratulations @Hopefulmummie 🥰 I'd definitely book an early scan to put your mind at ease, it's strange how there isn't consistency across trusts, some seem to be happy to provide reassurance and others just don't want people in ☹️

@Workingmama1 ooh that's fab that they contacted you, I'm a FTM and my first appt after my 20wk scan (which was done dead on 20w) is at 27weeks so I might contact them and see if I can move it earlier as 27weeks seems quite late to have my first F2F appt x

@SkyBlue20 yay to feeling movements, have you tried getting OH to talk to bump? My little boy goes mad when OH is bellowing into my belly and gives him a right good kick 😂 also interesting about the pram because in our local store and online it says you can get delivery in 7 days, but maybe it was the colour/ specific set you went for. Good to get it sorted and off your mind, think we'll also go with the Ocarro, OHs mum wants to buy it so maybe I should tell her to get on with it (in a nice way) to make sure it's here for March. I've been having heated conversations with my manager this week trying to encourage her to escalate the fact I want to work from home during lockdown, work doesn't bother me so much but getting too and from work I'm on the tube and I swear people are wearing masks less and less and somehow the trains have been busier 🤯

@Sakura54 glad you've been discharged and if they measure bump and it's small they'll definitely refer you back for scans and stuff which will be great to see little one more ❤️

Workingmama1 · 04/11/2020 21:17

@danceM1 I hope you feel better soon and the test comes back negative!

My daughter is still self isolating until Sunday due to a positive case at her nursery luckily we are both currently wfh but its been pretty tricky.

@Threnody sounds like you midwife is a good one, hopefully she'll make sure you are looked after.

@smileyT there is no harm in asking for an earlier appointment. It seems to depend very much on the trust, but to me she said they absolutely follow different pathways if that is what mum or baby need.

@skyblue20 bet it must feel nice to finally feel kicks and be sure they are kicks! I had my most definite kicks to date today, proper mini kicks from inside, it was unmistakable. I've been getting flutters and rolling sensation up to now. It was really nice, and kind of helped me think there is an actual baby in there.

I've found everything a bit overwhelming today, I think it's a combination of my daughter being home which is exhausting while trying to work, we had a restructure announcement at work yesterday, lukily my role appears to be safe but not all of my peers are, worrying about this pregnancy and then the general state of the world going to shit. I did some meditation in the only 30 minute break I had all day and fell asleep 😴 . Hoping to get a good night's sleep and feel more in control tomorrow (subject to not needing to pee, hips not hurting too much and next doors puppy not whinging all night!).

DanceM1 · 05/11/2020 12:38

Thanks @Workingmama1

Maybe TMI but think we are all used to it here.. I suddenly seem to have very leaky boobs 🤣 23 weeks today. Anybody else had this?

ew1990 · 05/11/2020 13:45

@dancem1 I think mine leak. They feel cold for a few seconds sometimes and Tmi but I have dried stuff on them 😯 with DD mine used to proper leak overnight and I'd wake up soaked from about 25 weeks.

Hope everyone's doing ok. I'm off work for a week so spending today trying to deep clean the house. And been given bags and bags of baby clothes so need to sort through them

Hopefulmummie · 05/11/2020 14:41

Hope everyone doing ok today.
I had a call from the midwife earlier just checking about the dates I've put on my self referral form as she thought it was too early for me to have a missed period.
Not sure why as AF was due yesterday.

She said my 12 week scan will more than likely be after Christmas so thinking I will definitely book a private one

Starfish762 · 05/11/2020 14:47

@DanceM1 how you feeling today? Hope you get your results soon.

@Workingmama1 good work on the response from the hospital/MP 👏🏼 It’s really tough WFH with a toddler there, not sure I could do it again coz work is so much busier than is was during lockdown 1, so Im keeping my fingers crossed no dramas with DD’s nursery. Hope yours gets to go back soon 🤞🏼

@Threnody glad MW apt went well, good news on the early scan

@Hopefulmummie how weird they’ve questioned your dates! We’re more clued up than then when TTC for so long!

Had my second early scan today, all good & he/she was kicking away 😭❤️ We couldn’t believe how much more baby shaped he/she was, the feet were so clear! She dated me back 2 days so back to my original due date of 5th June. Just 3 weeks to wait now for 12w scan, hope it goes quick!

DanceM1 · 05/11/2020 15:11

@ew1990 no ive been exactly the same with the dry stuff 🤣 its only the last two days that I've been braless while at home that I've actually felt my top wet at the time.

@starfish762 im ok thank you in general. Just a bit worried because I'm needing my inhaler more than usual for sure so whatever it is, its on my chest now. I just don't want it to affect baby but im trying not to over worry. Ive felt baby wriggling around quite a lot today which is lovely 🥰

@hopefulmummie go for it and book a private scan!

ew1990 · 05/11/2020 15:16

@dance I really hope the test comes back negative. And hope your chest feels better soon

Starfish762 · 05/11/2020 15:29

Just looking at pregnancy pillows, the bbhugme is £138 on amazon 😱 Is that right?!!

SkyBlue20 · 05/11/2020 15:31

@Threnody that's good from the midwife, glad the help has been offered if you need it xx

@SmileyT Baby is a little scamp and every time DH talks to or touches my bump, she stops 😂 Told him not to take it too personally just yet...
Hope your work will let you work from home! I'd be anxious on the tube, too, so totally with you there.
I had a look online and seems I can get the pram we want delivered within weeks so not sure what the woman in the shop was talking about 🤔

Hope you're ok today, @Workingmama1, sounds like you have a lot going on. Try and take some time for yourself if at all possible, even if it's just a nice long shower and a cuppa.

@ew1990 Enjoy your week off - sorting through baby clothes sounds heavenly, they're so little and cute!

@Hopefulmummie Definitely book a private scan if you feel you need one - after Christmas is a long wait!

@Starfish762 Glad your scan went well 💕 Not too long until 12 weeks now!

@DanceM1 When should you get your test results back? Hope you're feeling ok generally.

Hardly felt baby today but not worried as know that's how it is at this point and feeling slight little pulses as I type this, so she's up to something in there. Can't wait for another big kick like yesterday though 🥰 Had the best sleep I've had in months last night and woke up SO tired, it was like being back in the first trimester. My app actually says that this week I might be extra tired and will put weight on quickly but wow, I really struggled to get up.

RosieJess91 · 05/11/2020 16:43

Welcome to the newbies! I hope your journies are all smooth 💗

Hope everyone's coping with their first day in the new lockdown. Haven't really gone out and done much since everything reopened, so nothing has changed for me!

Bit of stress today. Step son is finally having his spinal surgery today and we still haven't heard anything.
And my son's school contacted to say they've had their first positive Covid case and sent home the bubble connected. Told me my son should be fine and safe to continue, but I'm one of the super high risk who has so many problems I can't even wear a mask without passing out (can't wear a scarf), so I'm now unsure on whether to trust the school or to take him back out. Keep thinking though, how long is this going to last? We could have it for years and years and I'm no teacher... don't know what to do!

Sakura54 · 05/11/2020 17:39

@SmileyT I doubt they will refer me for a growth scan because with DS, I also had a barely-there bump, but the chart measurement was still ok and they just said that I'm a small lady, so my baby will be small. I did end up having extra scans due to my GD diagnosis though. Actually I’ll show you guys my Grow Chart soon and we can compare!

You should have a MW appt at 25w then 28, so 27w isn’t fair like their skipping an appt? Deffo call them and let us know what they say. My next one is 25w, booked weeks ago at the place that’s walking distance, not sure if the MW made a mistake or took one look at my pregnancy history and decided I needed the FTM pathway but didn’t tell me. (Saw her the day before my emergency and 20w scan!). Saves me the trouble of requesting for extra appts, but I’ll see when she plans to book my next one for before opening my mouth.

@DanceM1 I would love to have leaky boobs. Didn’t even have that after having a baby unfortunately (just another thing on my huge list of pregnancy issues).

@RosieJess91 That’s so tough for you, must be awkward not wearing a mask. But yes when it comes to our kids, we can’t just keep them home forever. I take CV seriously as I keep saying, but I also take education very seriously and DS only started nursery recently, but there’s no way I’m taking him out and depriving him unless I’m forced to (even though, annoyingly, I think they mainly just let kids play at this age lol).

Hopefulmummie · 05/11/2020 19:21

Does anyone know much about clear blue digital weeks tests? According to my lmp I should be 4+1 so I done a clear blue digital today and it showed pregnant 2-3 weeks when it should've only shown 1-2? I'm confused

RosieJess91 · 05/11/2020 19:30

@sakura54 I'm the same, he missed so much of preschool, and he's only just started year R, so I'm very reluctant to take him out, but I can't risk him bringing it home. But again, think I'm more likely to catch it grabbing the shopping than I am from him going to school.
It is awkward, my OH usually does the shopping so I don't have to go in. But when I do have to go out, I get so many looks. Which makes me feel awful. 2 Heart conditions, asthma and low blood pressure is apparently a terrible mix. Who knew!

@hopefulmummie you might just be a few days further ahead than you thought. When I went for my scan, I was dated an entire week ahead. I wouldn't worry, showing a positive is always a positive, no matter how far along! 😊

Hopefulmummie · 05/11/2020 19:55

I think I'm comparing it to my ectopic pregnancy I tested on same day 1sr day of missed period and it said 1-2 weeks but I suppose my HCG was probably lower cause it was ectopic

DanceM1 · 05/11/2020 20:19

@ew1990 thank you! @skyBlue20 it said I should get them within 48 hours so hopefully by lunch time tomorrow!

@rosieJess91 thats really difficult for you. I mean the bubbles will be being kept separate but I can 100% understand your concerns.

@Sakura54 I must admit I'm secretly happy about it because I like anything that reassures me my body is getting ready for baby! Its only really one boob though which is weird isn't it!? Hope its not only one that produces milk when baby is born!!🙈🤣

DanceM1 · 05/11/2020 20:34

Right sorry.. another little panic. Every time I take a deep breath and stretch a bit, I feel something really strange in my bump. It's almost like something is catching? That's probably not the best way to describe it but its a really weird feeling. You don't think I could have hurt baby do you? I am pretty sure I'm being paranoid but I can't help it!😫🙈

Threnody · 05/11/2020 21:12

@Hopefulmummie The Clearblue threshold for 2-3 weeks is an hcg level of 153mIU/ml. The standard hcg level range for 4 weeks is 5–426 mIU/mL.

@DanceM1 Whereabouts do you feel it? Could it be round ligament pain?

@RosieJess91 have you heard anything yet?

DanceM1 · 05/11/2020 21:22

@threnody no I don't think so.. its definitely linked to my movement... its a bit weird but I have had a word with myself and calmed down 🤣🙈 hopefully its just "one of those weird pregnancy things"
