@Mumofboys17 thank you x I just want this scan over and done with now, I just need to know either way!
Going by my LMP I should be 8 + 1 on Saturday, but I believe I ovulated on CD16 of a 28 day cycle so will probably be more like 7 + 6. Am I right?

@Katie1109 oh god don't ask me 😅🙈 my cycles are long (approx 30-35 days) so my dates never match up with LMP. From LMP my due date should be 8th April, but I know roughly when I ovulated middle to end of July and my measurements match up with the date I was given at my first scan which is 15th April. BUT - the midwife keeps telling me I'm measuring small for that date 😐 so god knows 😂😂 I've got another appointment today to check bump size, so hopefully we're a bit more on track now. I know I'm due some point in April 🙃 but knowing my luck it'll be bang on DH's birthday (20th April) not much room for error there!! 😂😂 xx

Morning all x hope everyone is doing ok?
@Missgoldilocks how are you feeling?

I've been referred to fetal health by the midwife, just waiting on a phone call for a growth scan 😕 don't think it's anything sinister but she wasn't 100% happy with baby's movements yesterday. Still measuring a little bit small but I'm following the growth line at a steady pace. Just one thing after another!! X

@Mumofboys17 hi there! Aww hun I'm sure there is nothing to worry about x maybe you just have a little lazy baby! Fingers crossed everything is fine! My mum always said to me I wasn't very active inside in comparison to my sibling, but I definitely made up for it when I was out! And my sibling was the other way around. I was also a small baby, weighing only 6lbs3oz. I guess as long as you following the growth line all should be fine x Keep us posted x
I am still feeling fine, too fine for my liking :( Boobs are sore, but not a showstopper by any standards. Other than that I have got some mild changes smell-wise and have to now get up for a wee at least once overnight. I am concerned about lack of nausea, haven't felt it once. Not feeling tired either, I managed a 5k run yesterday without problems and feel quite energetic in general. Scan this weekend so all will be clear, but I do feel stressed about it :(

@Katie1109 I've actually got the opposite problem (should have said 😅) he's VERY active, but is also having these weird vibrating and spasm like movements? It's hard to explain, it's like he goes absolutely nuts for about 3 seconds, arms and legs flailing. I've felt it for ages but mentioned it to the midwife yesterday and she said she'd never heard of it! 😐 which was not the answer I was expecting or hoping for 😂 she rang fetal health for advice and they suggested another scan. I mean bright side we get to see baby again, never had a scan this far along before haha so quite interested to see the difference between 20 weeks and now! Just concentrating on that bit, it's probably all over nothing, been Googling like crazy and looks like it's happened to other women too but at least they're taking me seriously! X

You never know maybe you're one of the VERY lucky ones who gets off lightly in the first trimester! Totally understand where you're coming from and your worries are definitely well founded x only a few more days 😊 I'm positive for you, I think once you've had that scan everything will fall into place and those symptoms will appear thick and fast! Xxx

@Mumofboys17 sorry I thought you were worried about lack of movements! I swear I read a thread on here few days ago about this kind of movements x If I come across it again I'll get you the link x I think one of the ladies described it as the baby almost seems like its shaking, like it got scared for some reason :) Fingers crossed all is well x
Yeah I don't think I will relax even after the scan if baby is measuring fine etc, I feel like even if all is well I won't be able to enjoy this pregnancy at all :( just terrified of another loss!

@katie1109 I have so much hope that it will all be okay for you xx I know its hard to be positive but going off symptoms won't help because they can be so different xx

@Mumofboys17 yeah they just need to be safe about things, a later scan is great because you kind of see the face though it's dark so a bit scary looking hahaha. I hope all is well though x maybe because he's slightly smaller he's got more room to move so has a little salsa in there 😂
I'm good, feeling little one move now very lightly, can't wait till my partner can feel and see him kicking 😍😍. I'm the opposite because I have big babies i have to have growth scans and they want me to get a diabetes check because big babies can sometimes mean getting diabetes in pregnancy 🤰 but I'm pretty sure I'll be fine lol its just a genetic thing that runs in mine and even my partners family

Report
Mumofboys17 · 17/02/2021 10:27

@Missgoldilocks haha salsa 😂😂 we still haven't agreed on a name yet maybe I'll suggest that one to DH 😂😂 my gut feeling is everything will be fine so - I'm going with that! These babies do cause a lot of stress! 😬 x
Aww that's lovely 🥰 I love the little movements, of course any movement is good but this baby's definitely starting to run out of room, getting lots of fanny jabs and sore ribs now 😖
Ahh my friend had gestational diabetes with both of her babies, they were decent sizes too! She had to be induced as well I think 2 weeks early each time? Xx

OMG ladies reading about how you feel your little boys moving makes me wish my life away! I just want time to speed up and for all to be fine so I get to feel that kick and punch! 🥰🥰

@Mumofboys17 Aww that's hard for her! I didn't have diabetes with my son but because I have big babies they have to check me for it and I get growth scans after 20 week to see how much they're weighing..my son came a week and a half late 😂. I've also decided that if (big probability) this baby is weighing big ill probably go for a c section again because they talk about dislocating shoulders and stuff to get the baby out!!
What names have you short listed? Xxx

@katie1109 you will my lovely xxx

Mumofboys17 · 17/02/2021 12:19

@Katie1109 you will, lovely!! 😊❤️ X

@Missgoldilocks oh wow bless you, DS1 came bang on his due date last time I really don't know how I'd cope with a late baby!! He was only 8lb 5 but I thought that was massive 😂😂😂
If you've had one before and if he's measuring big they may well suggest C section again probably won't they? I'm hoping for a water birth this time, but, we'll see! Xx

Report
Missgoldilocks · 17/02/2021 12:34

@Mumofboys17 Ohh I'd love a water birth!! My bmi is too high for one 🙄 even when I'm at my smallest 🤣 stupid system! That will be so wonderful for you!I think 8 pounds 5 is a lovely size, my son was 9 pounds 4 and I'm pretty sure this one we be that or bigger since my now partner is much bigger than my sons biological father. Anyway, they actually won't push me for a c section they would let me try natural but I'm sooo scared of tearing badly!! But I also really really want to experience natural labour so I've got a lot of thinking to do. C sections aren't fun and the recovery time is too long xx

Report
Mumofboys17 · 17/02/2021 12:42

@Missgoldilocks gosh yeah I can't even imagine.. DS1's birth was 'natural', even though it was awful (can't compare to c section from personal experience obvs) but I do reckon your body heals better that way. Wowwww 9lb!! 😮 you're a hero!! 😂 just do lots and lots of research (lord knows we have the time right now 😂😂) I've spoken to lots of people who managed to get water births, some good experiences and some bad ofc but helps to have something to go on. That's good the decision is still sort of in your hands x
I'm trying not to get my hopes up or too fixated on the water birth idea just in case, our hospital only has 2 pools so it's first come first serve. I'm terrified of doing it again full stop so trying to silver line everything as much as I can 😂😂 xxx

@Katie1109 bless you thank you so much for that xx sorry for the belated reply, work has been mad busy last couple of days. Scan got cancelled as apparently they felt it wasn't necessary 🤔🤷🏼‍♀️ went in for CTG monitoring instead and everything is completely fine. I had that beepy button you have to press when you feel movement, I basically just sat there pressing it the whole time 😂 midwives have put it down to a very active baby and that's all! So just another 7 weeks 6 days to get him out! 🤞🏻🥰

How are you feeling? Is your scan tomorrow?? Xx

@Mumofboys17 I’m glad everything seems good with your little boy! x omg can’t believe it’s less than 2 months till he’s here! 🥰 yep scan tomorrow, I should have an update here by midday so check in x symptoms wise still no changes here - boobs still a bit sore but that’s mainly it! I think I’m going to be either bang on 8 weeks or 7+6 tomorrow x

@Mumofboys17 thank you hun x I have booked another private scan for 10 weeks and probably will do the same just before my 12 week one with NHS if my OH can’t come with me x
Would you mind me asking what’s your opinion on doing Harmony test? Would you have one regardless of NHS combined screening? Or only if it showed high risk? x

@Katie1109 omg I'm so happy for you!! How are you feeling? Same to @Missgoldilocks a boy! How you doing? @Mumofboys17 are you ready to burst??

I'm so terrible at getting on mumsnet, I seem to find a spare 5 mins for Instagram or Facebook before bed these days 🙈 my boy is 5 months now and in 9-12 clothes. He's a baby giraffe and a total handful but so happy ❤

@Quiffy lovely to hear from you!! Haha aww sounds like you have a lovely big boy there! 🥰 5 months already!! God time is really flying..
I definitely feel ready to pop, still got 6 weeks to go yet 😬 it's gone sooo quickly though I can't believe he'll actually be here soon. We've been working on lots of house jobs, getting new carpet laid soon and getting the nursery painted hopefully within the next week ☺️

@Missgoldilocks @Katie1109 hope you're both keeping well girlies x sorry I've been absent too, it's my last week of work this week so been cramming everything in before I leave on Friday!! Xx

@Mumofboys17 that is so exciting! What did you decide on for the nursery? When you finishing up for work?

Man I miss having a big bump. I felt like a whale at the time but it was nice to rub lovingly and it didn't babble back at you furiously or have a tantrum. Is it wrong to be broody already 🤣🤣🤣
