@Missgoldilocks wow I thought everyone gets sore boobs!! I still feel nothing other than that and occasional tug or pull down there x what worries me is this dull period like pressure from time to time, but I was told not to worry unless there’s any bleeding. The problem is I had a MMC and I know there doesn’t have to be any bleeding for something to be wrong 😩 x hope you ladies are feeling well x

@Katie1109 if it helps my boobs were no where near as sore 2nd time around, I just put that down to bf DS1 for ages so figured there's no feeling left 😂😂 they did feel bruised after a while though and have expanded about 2 cup sizes now 😬 I've also had lots of cramping at different stages, I even spent a night on labour ward at 20 weeks because the pain was so bad 🙈 the Dr thought I had appendicitis! It was literally just muscle pain in the end, they said baby must have been laying on a nerve 🙄 I felt so silly but the midwives were super supportive and all said they'd rather I had come in than didn't x
I know it must be soo hard but all you can do is take some pregnancy vitamins and look after yourself, and try and relax! Hope you're feeling ok today? Xx

Hi @Mumofboys17 x thanks for your message x OMG that must have been terrifying for you at 20 weeks, I’m glad it was only baby trying to be cheeky x I’m ok today, I still have this weird period like sensation down below and it’s making me. But anxious but there’s no spotting so far so 🤞 no other symptoms at all...I book a private scan for when I’m 8 weeks if we make it that far, so 19 days to go! 🤞 just a thought of a scan makes me nervous, last one I had was when we had MMC diagnosed 😩 I am doing my best to stay positive but it really is not easy and I’m a pessimist by nature.
I’m trying to look after myself as much as I can, drinking lots of water and juices, taking vitamins, exercising within reason, anything to take my mind off it 🤣 have you ladies got any exercise suggestions? What have you been doing? x

Mumofboys17 · 02/02/2021 08:27

@Katie1109 don't forget it's still super early at the moment, try not to worry about lack of or certain symptoms unless they really are something to worry about (...if that makes sense? 🤔😅)
Totally get you lovely I'm a pessimist too!! I had no reason to be worried really, but when I went for my first scan with this pregnancy when I went into the room I was suddenly overcome with panic and anxiety! Now I'm just stressing about actually giving birth again 😂 never bloody stops lol
I'd love to suggest an amazing exercise regime but I spend as little time moving my heavy arse around as humanly possible these days 😂😂😂 I've told myself I'm going to try and start some pregnancy yoga or something when I start mat leave, so let's just go with that 🙃😉 xxx

Thank you @Mumofboys17 x I woke up today and my boobs are not so sore anymore and cramping seems more and more similar to those period ones 😩 I don’t think this is going to stick with us 😥 5+5 today and I just feel so down about it all 😩

Report
Mumofboys17 · 03/02/2021 08:14

@Katie1109 I spent an whole day in tears around the 5 week mark as I'd woken up with no sore boobs, no other symptoms and I was crampy too. A day or two after I felt so sick I couldn't bare any food and my boobs looked like road maps because the veins were swelling up so much! X
This is the worst and longest part (IMO). I know it's only words but you just have to stay as positive as you can and keep going. If the cramps become painful or anything else worrying happens get straight onto EPAU or midwife if you have their number. Better to be a bother and it be nothing xxx

@Mumofboys17 this is exactly how I feel 😩 I just want to sit and cry at the moment - I think only the fact I’m at work is stopping me from doing so! I’m not in pain as such, but it’s that annoying period pressure which normally means for me “Brace yourself I’m on my way” 😩 I think what makes it worse I know that if this does not work out it’s the end of the baby road for us, too much stress and heartache 😩 I will keep you posted, so far no spotting etc so we’ll see - but honestly I am really struggling to be positive about it all.

@Katie1109 I think being at work is the best thing right now because it's forcing you to get on with your day. The problem is when we've been trying for SO long it's literally all we think about, so the cramps could genuinely be normal but because of your history it's totally understandable you straightaway would assume the worst. Don't forget your hormones are also RAGING right now! Which make everything feel 100 times worse. X
I have every part of me crossed for you. Take some paracetamol (won't cause you or little one any harm) have a sweet, warm tea and just get through the day piece by piece. Before you know it it'll be 8 weeks and you can get that scan done xx

@Missgoldilocks Oh no!!! You poor thing 😞 how are you feeling now?? Have to say I'm terrified of getting it now we're getting closer to the end.. I do reckon being pregnant won't help with symptoms etc, I had a little cold in my first trimester and it absolutely floored me 😭 hope you have a super speedy recovery xx

@Katie1109 how are you doing lovely? Xx

@Missgoldilocks bloody COVID! I hope you’re ok? How are you feeling? I had it in October last year, so did my OH and it was awful, although I’m sure not as bad as it must be with pregnancy making it worse x hang in there x hopefully it won’t last long x
@Mumofboys17 I’m ok thanks hun x my app says 6 weeks today, although I think it’s 6 weeks tomorrow/Sunday going by ovulation x no new symptoms, my boobs feel like they’re bruised rather than anything else x I’m cramping much less today and yesterday wasn’t too bad so hopefully that’s a good sign x how are you feeling? x

@Katie1109 I'm using the Ovia and Pregnancy+ apps and Ovia reckons I'm one day ahead than I am even though all the dates etc I put into both apps were the same 🤔😂 god knows haha x
I'm doing OK, had a bit of a wobble yesterday. Had a really low few days I've just wanted to cry, really missing my family and life at the moment. Convinced no one will want to come and meet my baby boy once he arrives because it's 'not safe' and I'm scared for my MH, I went proper bad PND after DS1 (his birth was awful and I had a fall out with family at the same time - short version!) I'm just scared being isolated might bring it all back.... probably just being pessimistic and over thinking everything (as per!! 🙃) I'm trying to put it down as just a few down days and I'll start to feel more positive soon.. bloody hormones 😬 xx

@Mumofboys17 @katie1109 it's been pretty awful I was really bad for about 5 days but I feel so much better now! All I have is the cough, chest pain and super tired as left over symptoms the docs say can stay for a while :/ I just want to sleep lol like all the time. Anyway thankfully a lot better! Yes, covid is bad enough but covid and pregnant was a blood experience I don't want to go through again!
Did you have quite bad round ligament pain @Mumofboys17? I'm having bad abdomen pain sometimes it's so painful I have to focus on breathing!

We do worry about everything lol it never stops! I completely get why you'd feel down, it's really really hard being so isolated and you know, mentally it's destroying a lot of people. All I can say is we are nearly at the end now, I cannot wait to get out of this house and have a life too xx

@Missgoldilocks God that sounds so scary! Good to hear you're feeling better though 😊 I did get quite bad ligament pain in the second trimester, I did with my first as well tbf. That's sort of eased now but I'm still getting pelvic/back and now rib pain where baby is wedging his little feet underneath 😖 I also find if I sit down for too long in the same position I start to get jelly legs? 😂 so WFH is doing me NOOO favours at the moment!! Only 4 weeks to go til mat leave starts, normally I'd be more excited but I'm a bit apprehensive what I'm going to do with no commitments until baby arrives 😬 xx

Morning ladies x how are you doing? @Missgoldilocks how are your Covid symptoms now? I hope you got a plenty of rest over the weekend x
I’m about 6+3 today and not much has changed, boobs feel like they’re bruised, an occasional cramp and pull here or there but other than that not much x just under 2 weeks to our 8 week scan now, still feels like eternity x

@Katie1109 that all still sounds really positive! Hope you’re feeling ok too, it’ll feel like a drag until that scan comes around but each day that comes is another day closer! Xx

We’re having a bit of a nightmare at the moment. DS1’s bubble at nursery have had a positive covid case, so he now has to isolate for 10 days. DH has a really heavy head cold now as well so he went and got tested today.. I’m just praying it’s not covid 😫 my midwife cancelled my 31week appt today because of all this, she said she will come to our house at the weekend (because I still need measurements taking etc) but only if DH tests negative. I’m obviously still working from home too but will now have DS here all bloody day so god knows how much I’ll actually get done.... aaarrggghh. Rant over 😅
Hope everyone else is having a slightly more positive day!! X

Ahhh I haven’t checked here in weeks and have come back to fabulous news!!! So so happy for you @Katie1109. My boobs were definitely less sore second time around too.

Saturday will be 1 year on from the bleeding starting for my ectopic/MC and will also be when my little boy turns 12 weeks old. I’m forever grateful that we caught again so quickly.

But I’m so fed up of lockdown, I’m going back to work in 8 weeks and at this rate I’ll not actually be able to do anything for the whole of my maternity leave. My mum and sister have still not met the baby, coffee shops and restaurants have been closed the whole time and meeting up outside is so difficult when there’s nowhere warm to feed/change a baby. Trying to see the positive as much as possible but it’s really tough.

Hope you’re all getting on ok 😘

@Fredthespider lovely hearing from you x awww bless you, I can imagine this lockdown has spoiled so many special moments for a lot of people. I hope you can soon make up for it x
@Mumofboys17 oh no bloody covid! How are you all feeling? I hope you won’t get it and it will just be a bit of a scare 🤞did you DH get his result back?
No real changes here ladies, last night I had a sicky feeling at the back of my throat but it passed after couple of hours. I had my bloods taken today and asked if I can get the hcg levels done as well, midwife said she’ll try so hopefully I’ll get some news early next week 🤞

Hey ladies x
Hcg levels came back as 13052.7 u/l and I was roughly 6 +4/5 on the day x don’t know why but i keep thinking it’s too low, I know it seems within range but I would be much happier if it was higher than that. What are your experiences with early hcg results? x

@Katie1109 Sorry lovely I really can't say as I don't think I was ever given mine with either pregnancy! Did they ring you to give you the result or did you get it another way? Just wondering as if they contacted you directly I would have hoped they'd tell you if they were worried about the numbers being too low. How are you feeling otherwise? Xxx

Katie1109 · 15/02/2021 14:46

@Mumofboys17 my midwife just dropped me a text saying the levels are normal and she has no cause for concern at all. We have 8 weeks scan this coming weekend so soon enough I shall have some news!
I’m feeling fine. Around 7 + 1/2 today and no changes really. Sore boobs and few changes sense of smell wise. Other than that absolutely nothing. No nausea, no vomiting, no general “pregnant” feeling. Not sure what to think at all 😩

Report
Mumofboys17 · 15/02/2021 14:51

@Katie1109 if it makes you feel any better I don't get morning sickness, I get a sicky or nauseas feeling on and off from around 7 weeks and that was with both of my boys. My mum and grandma didn't either! Don't get me wrong I still felt pretty shite haha. Sometimes I think it's just one of those things!
I don't ever feel 'pregnant' until I've had that first proper scan and can physically see a baby in there. Plus with everything you've been through your mind is probably trying to protect itself. Everything has sounded so positive so far, not long now til that scan either 😊 just keep positive xx
