@Quiffy definitely feel like a whale who needs to pee loads 🤣 I'm due 24th July so still a while yet but getting bigger by the day! I'm 29 weeks now. Glad you got to go to some baby classes finally! That must have been great for you both x

I've been taking some afternoons off work to go to baby classes and he's been loving it. So nice to see people too, although it's really frustrating that I can sit in a room with 14 other adults and minimum of 14 snotty kids, but I can't have my mum come and stay (without needing to unbubble from my single friend who lives locally and is mega supportive). Bring on next week when we can start to see people again indoors.

From memory May is a busy Birthday month for us, hope all you lovely ladies with Birthdays have a fabulous time!

@Missgoldilocks we're good! Little one is 5 weeks old now 😱 it's flying by so quick this time, it's crazy! How's the baby prep going? Hopefully with restrictions easing you'll be able to get out and about to shop around for bits now 😊 if you feel up to it ofc 😉 I can't remember feeling period-crampy specifically but I did have lots of aches and pains towards the end xx

@Fredthespider @Quiffy so pleased you've managed to finally get into some groups! I've just booked me and DS2 onto a 5 week course of baby yoga/massage/etc on one of DS1's nursery days. It's not until June but I'm adamant I'm getting all of this in before covid rears it's ugly unsociable head again!! X

@Fredthespider you have such a good memory 😅 it's my birthday on Monday actually haha, and typical the weathers going to be shit!

@Katie1109 hope all is ok with you? X

@Fredthespider yeah a whole load of Taurus on here!! Haha my bday was in the third and I had loads of cake 🤣 hope everyone enjoys their birthdays 🎂🎉 yeah it's ridiculous with the rules of who and what!

@Mumofboys17 omg time is flying!! I bet you're enjoying every bit ☺️ xx I've literally got everything lol I just need maternity pads and night dresses for hospital. I'm having my baby shower 29th may so I'll see what I get from that then know if I need to buy anything more clothes wise! Xx

@Missgoldilocks honestly I really am this time 🥰 despite the long restless nights, sore boobs/nips and leaking bodily fluids from just about everywhere 😬 I feel really positive 😅 not gonna lie I'm definitely a bit jel you get to have a baby shower! I had a virtual one which was still nice though haha, hope you get properly spoilt!! X

Little things pre baby I got caught out with - not getting enough maternity and breast pads!! I ran out so quick especially in the first few days when you go through loads 🤦🏼‍♀️ make sure you get plenty!

BEST thing I bought - a Mrs Hinch inspired baby caddy 😂😂 seriously, best £6.99 I've ever spent on eBay! I keep it stocked up with nappies, wipes, creams, breast pads, change of baby vest and gro (for those fabulous explosive nappies) and take it between the living room for day time and on my bedside table at nighttime. Keeps it all organised and within arms reach. Absolute game changer!!

Small victories 😂😂 xx

Morning gang x sorry I have been away from Mumsnet for a bit, very busy at work! We are all good, I’m just over 20 weeks and we had our 20 weeks scan few days ago, so I’m happy to report all is well and our little baby girl is growing just fine 🥰💕 no issues seen on the scan 🎉🍾 We will soon start buying stuff and getting the nursery sorted, but to be fair we have chosen majority of main bits 😊
@Fredthespider yep mine birthday was 11th, another Taurus here 😂🙈
How is everyone doing? How are you little babies and your bumps doing? x

@Katie1109 that's fantastic lovely, so so pleased to hear everything's going well 🥰 you're half way now!! 💗 have you started telling family/friends yet? X

All good here ☺️ my littlest man's been going through a growth spurt (we think!) so had a few fussy evenings and LOTS of cluster feeding. Feeling just a bit knackered!
He's lucky he's so cute 😂🥱

Hey girls, long time!
How is everyone doing? How's bumps and babies?
I'm huge, 35 weeks on Saturday and absolutely done with pregnancy lol. I have really bad pelvic girdle pain I can't really do much and I feel sick a lot as if I'm in the first trimester again and of course been sweating out! 5 more weeks to go 😬 but healthy and baby healthy. He was weighing 6lbs a week ago, I know they can be off but it bloody feels like he is too 🤣 xx
I'm getting Braxton Hicks when I walk I don't think I ever had it with akeem I'm hoping that means I might give birth early but I know it might not mean that 😭🤣 xx

@Missgoldilocks hi! All good here ☺️ My little chunk will be 11 weeks this week, it’s absolutely flying by! Getting lots of big smiles and little giggles now 🥰
Bless you I was sooo uncomfortable towards the end too. Try and take it easy! Are you all packed and ready for hospital now? I had lots of pressure about a week before DS2 arrived, felt very heavy and like I needed to poo 24/7 😂 never say never!! He could well come early! Xx

Missgoldilocks · 23/06/2021 13:45

@Mumofboys17 nice to hear from you! Awwww that's adorable bless him 🥰🥰 enjoy every minute because we both know it flies doesn't it!!
Yeah I'm praying he comes early just so I also have more if a chance of natural birth rather than repeat c section which induction would make more likely.
All packed!! All his clothes are washed and put away nicely I'm so ready I just want him here now. I'm not doing much because I can't with the pain lol so I've basically been home bound which hasn't been fun but I just sleep every day tbh hahaha xx

Report
Mumofboys17 · 23/06/2021 22:27

@Missgoldilocks you poor thing!! Sleeping definitely isn’t a bad thing though at least you’re getting rest that way! X
There’s obviously no way to know for sure but I’m fairly certain DS2 came early for me because I was so busy all the time. Not necessarily active but I still had to run around after my 3 year old, plus I waddled and shuffled my way through lots of family walks too 😂 really hope it all goes well for you though, and you have a good experience whatever the birth scenario 🥰
I mean I NEVER planned to have DS2 at home 😅 but all things considered it was definitely a better birth than DS1!
Did you have to be induced with your first? I’m sure you’ve said before but I’ve forgotten haha xx

Missgoldilocks · 24/06/2021 15:42

@Mumofboys17 I wish I could be active so bad I'm literally sick of being in the house and I'm paying so much for the David Lloyd now but the SPD is really hindering me. I just try and bounce on the ball as much as I can, obviously I was doing swimming before which was really nice but yeah, everything hurts to do :( I was induced with my son yeah and it ended in c section, hoping for a different outcome but I also know now to stay home for as long as possible this time instead of going straight in xx

We've had a week from hell. Toddler was sick last Mon so that took her out of nursery until Thurs, Baby was sick (only once..) on Tues so that took him out until Fri. Then Toddler started coughing with a temp on Thurs which took us all out until Fri evening when we got the negative. All whilst I have a busy week at work. Such fun.

Still waiting on the baby sleeping through the night... I'm sure it'll happen soon right...

How are you @Quiffy?

Missgoldilocks · 13/07/2021 11:43

@Quiffy how are you xx

I'm 38+3 pregnant and so done with this. Pelvic pain has me house bound and on crutches 😬🥺 I'm in pain daily literally cannot cope anymore! It's really getting me down. See the midwife on Friday they said they're happy to induce me at 39 weeks as baby was weighing 9.4lbs 2 weeks ago (even tho they can be off) so I'll be 39 weeks on Saturday and just hoping they do it Friday or over the weekend!!

@Fredthespider sorry to hear you've had a hard time chick I hope for your sake bubba starts sleeping through too xx

Fredthespider · 13/07/2021 19:00

@Missgoldilocks oh wow I do not envy you right now. Good luck with your appointment on Friday. I managed to get a stretch and sweep at 38+6 and 39+1 and gave birth at 39+2. Hopefully if you’re nice and ripe you might be able to avoid induction 🤞🏼

Another day, another self isolation. I swear the nursery are just short staffed on Wednesdays and find an excuse to send my kids home 😒

@Missgoldilocks good luck today!!

Missgoldilocks · 17/07/2021 08:27

@Fredthespider thank you! They gave me a sweep and said I'm 1cm and my cervix is soft. I asked for induction and she said could I come back on Monday but I asked for it to happen yesterday 🤣 I then changed my mind and thought let me give the sweep a chance so I have a higher chance of a vaginal birth rather than a c section. So this weekend my son has gone to my mum's and me and my partner are having a full on date weekend and I'll go in Monday morning for Foley bulb induction 🤞 it's my partner's birthday on Sunday too so it'll be nice. Xx
