Thanks @LookForTheGood that's one thing I really don't want is to be induced!! Really helpful thank you 😊

LookForTheGood · 09/10/2020 15:59

@december2020 I found my first little one didn’t like his next to me crib the first weeks after he was born but liked the Moses basket as it was more snug! Or he preferred sleeping in the sling as didn’t like to be put down! Each baby is so different! My friend’s second little boy would sleep anywhere!

confused107 · 09/10/2020 16:33

@LookForTheGood welcome you have the same due date as me!

I have brought a Snuzpod because I liked the way it looked better than the others. Didn't seem to be any other kind of way to separate them to be honest. I think it's all a bit of a gamble as we don't know what the baby is going to like but at least it's somewhere safe

december2020 · 09/10/2020 16:40

@LookForTheGood @confused107
It's such a gamble isn't it. Facing the dilemma with prams. It's a minefield out there! Honestly at this rate, the poor child will have nothing when he arrives (and I'm usually a super decisive person)!

peachypetite · 09/10/2020 16:50

I walked about an hour and a half today and my god my pelvis hurts!!! And I’m also struggling to get out of bed in the middle of the night when I need a wee. I think I’ve kind of forgotten about my bump and then I try to bend down or roll over and struggle.

lionsmum · 09/10/2020 17:10

Thank you so much ladies for your love and support, it's so so appreciated💙 @roro87 I completely agree about it being such a taboo subject, and people can be so harsh around it. I don't know if anyone saw Chrissy Teigen and John Legend lost their baby boy recently but the amount of awful comments I read around it were terrible, and highlighted to me just how much people either don't know or don't want to know about it. Thankfully most are very empathetic and understanding, wanting to know more & be educated.

@december2020 we bought the Chicco Magic I think it's called, yet to be used of course but I think it's going to be great, hopefully he likes sleeping in it! But as @LookForTheGood pointed out each baby is so different.

Hope everyone has a nice (restful) weekend planned, finding things getting more of an effort to do, even the stairs are starting to feel like Everest sometimes😅

Jellycat2020 · 09/10/2020 17:15

@december2020 we went with the Tutti Bambini Cozee bedside crib as my husband fell in love with it and have to say, we're impressed so far. Very easy to set up, folds away easily, has tilting options and comes in a handy travel bag for going away. Sod's law, she'll hate it now! 😒

@BG1234 with you on the back pain. I suffer with it normally too but it's just a lot worse at the moment for obvious reasons. I can only sit/lie/stand in one position for a few minutes then have to move again. Heat is the best thing I've found too, along with a warm bath and a massage from hubby.

@peachypetite yep! I tend to almost fall out of bed then stagger to the bathroom like a zombie! 😂 No control over my hips at all!

MummyShark97 · 09/10/2020 17:53

@peachypetite @Jellycat2020 tell me about it!! Also putting on shoes/socks!

kkr168 · 09/10/2020 17:57

@december2020 we went for the next2me dream

Asianchick6693 · 09/10/2020 18:04

@peachypetite yes definitely can't wait!! It's been such a roller coaster but I'm so glad baby is healthy and not long left.

@LookForTheGood welcome! I'm due December 6th so we're pretty close to each other. I find myself also getting hungry every 2 hours but my appetite has gone back down to what it was like first trimester.

Am I the only mum to be still experiencing morning sickness?? I've found my own little routine to keep it at bay but it only takes one slip up to projectile vomit Blush

Asianchick6693 · 09/10/2020 18:12

@peachypetite @Jellycat2020 girls idk if you know this but definitely practice the pelvic floor (kegel) exercises. I've been told the stronger they are the more you can manage the pain/discomfort.. not that it did a great deal for me as I'm on crutches anyway 😂 but I'm just one of the unlucky ones. Also sleeping with a pillow in between legs really helps me get out of the bed with ease. As for putting shoes on, sitting down with bringing one leg over the other makes it easier too. Worth a try if you haven't already :)

december2020 · 09/10/2020 18:13

Thanks so much for the tips @kkr168 @Jellycat2020 @lionsmum !
Actually really liking the look of the Cozee!!
May actually finally order a few bits this weekend (and not just a nursery rug), you have helped me loads!

Jellycat2020 · 09/10/2020 18:59

@MummyShark97 I haven't been able to put socks on for at least a month 😭
@Asianchick6693 yes, I do the kegals 3 times a day (slow and quick ones) and have a pillow between my knees in bed (or I use my pregnancy pillow if it's really bad). My midwife says all I can do is put up with it. Can't wait to go and see a chiropractor!

peachypetite · 09/10/2020 19:19

Finally made a pram decision, going for the oyster 3. I really need to start doing my pelvic floor exercises, been really lazy with that.

peachypetite · 09/10/2020 19:20

Posted too early. I feel like baby is going to be here before we know it and actually am running out of time in the sense of allowing for deliveries etc, want to get final bits ordered this weekend. Any recommendations for changing mats? Going to have one downstairs and one upstairs

LookForTheGood · 09/10/2020 19:27

I was trying to take my socks off with my feet last night in bed but failed miserably so left them on 😂
I’m also irritating DH during the evenings as I can’t lie down on the sofa without moving 50 times and getting up to walk around!

Keep forgetting to do pelvic floors - really need to! Maybe should write it on a few post it notes and stick them around the house!

@Asianchick6693 😊 oh we are close!! That’s so exciting!! Also, sorry to hear you’re getting the same sickness as first trimester. I’m getting awful heart burn that’s made me a bit vomity at times!! Could it be that? I swig Tesco’s own Gaviscon and that seems to help!

Asianchick6693 · 09/10/2020 19:38

@peachypetite oo exciting! me and OH have gone for ickle bubba stomp v4 travel system, which has a carrycot, pushchair and car seat. It's great. Hubby was so excited when it came, it was like getting a new car for him 😂😂.

@LookForTheGood I've also been suffering from heartburn and acid reflux long before I was pregnant so have gaviscon and omeprazole which keeps it under control but unfortunately this is just the morning sickness 😭 I cannot wait until I've given birth and for that nauseous feeling to just go.

Also girls I've bought this app called squeezy, can't remember how much for but physio recommended it and it sends you daily reminders to your phone with the kegel exercises that are timed and you can follow it on screen. Really helpful. Both long and short ones.

Jwl45 · 09/10/2020 23:00

Oh wow... How have I missed all these messages!? @december2020 We went for the Babylo next to me crib. It's bigger than a moses basket and some of the cribs out there.
Then downstairs I have a lajlo sleepyhead type thing which is absolutely gorgeous. Looks sooo comfy! Bought a panorama travel system too... Only £399 which I thought was great.
Bought everything from Smyth's as there is nowhere else around here that sell prams, cribs etc.
W ... Also have a little bouncer. Went for the one that converts to a toddler chair later on.

The bag is more or less packed .... Although want to give everything a quick little wash 🙂
I was due to have my C-section date last Wednesday - it will either be 9th 10th Nov... (Due 13th) but he wants to give me another growth scan first in three weeks time as I'm not "following the curve" .baby is about 5lb 2 though.. so average apparently. (Apparently keeping an eye as my first was small... Saying that she was 6lb 8!.. my second 7lb 10) I am an older mum too.. and have had 2 previous c-sections. So guess those are factors why under consultant care. @NaomiB79.... As you said... Top of the due date list makes it all so real and close now x eek.

Charly4 · 09/10/2020 23:04

Hi girls, sorry but I’m just after some advice and you lovely lady’s seem to have it all under control!
I’m pregnant with my first baby, I’m around 7 weeks and today when I was in the shower I’ve noticed I have a hard ball like feeling in my lower abdomen, is this normal? Has anybody ever felt this? Is this my uterus or is it too early? Help pleaseeee

MsBee13 · 09/10/2020 23:34

Hi Ladies,

We went for Infababy EVO travel system 3in1. I was recommended this by my OH friend's wife. She swears by it. So I hope they will be fine.

Talking about pelvic floor exercises, I'm thinking of purchasing Aniball. Do any of you have experience with this?

Thanks xx

MsBee13 · 09/10/2020 23:38

*and for next to bed basinet, we went for Shnuggle Dreami Sleep System. We had it second hand from FB market as it's only for the first months. Thought no point to spend so much money on this and it's in a very good condition.

Bluebell2020 · 10/10/2020 07:33

Hey everyone,

Just a quick update on my growth scans as I know I've posted about them on the last threads. Sorry for the long post!

Had one at 33 weeks yesterday and was gutted to find out our little one has tailed off with her growth. Estimated 3lbs 5oz at 33 weeks. The hospital were great and sent me immediately for another scan with the fetal medicine consultant and they've discovered 2 small issues with the placenta. I've officially been give a diagnosis of Fetal growth restriction secondary to placenta insufficiency. We've now been told they will "try and get us to 37 weeks at best" but no later. So looks like my end of November baby (Who I actually thought would arrive late and be a December baby) will be here within 5 weeks at the very latest 😱

Feeling a bit better about it all today after getting over the initial shock of it. Was extremely difficult having to go through the whole day alone while my husband had to sit in the car though.

Not caught up on this thread yet but going to have a nosy at all the posts soon x

december2020 · 10/10/2020 07:45

@Jwl45 oooh! We were thinking a sleepyhead style thing downstairs as well for supervised napping. Ideally something simple that can stay downstairs so we're not carrying a bed up and down the stairs all the time.
At the moment we're thinking maybe the Uppababy vista as the pram.

@Bluebell2020 sending you Thanks it's really is tough having to do all the appointments alone. Glad you're feeling a bit better now! They'll do everything to make sure the bubba has the best care.

confused107 · 10/10/2020 08:05

@Bluebell2020 sorry to hear you had a stressful day but glad to hear they acted fast, found what was wrong and you are getting the help you need and they are watching you closely. I also had my growth scan yesterday. At 32 weeks she is weighing 3.14 so she is small but within the lines (somewhere between 10th and 50th percentile). I have to go back in 3 weeks for another scan to make sure it doesn't tail off. I'm grateful that I am being checked. The consultant told me to pay extra attention to movement, which is just likely to make me more anxious!

We also went for the oyster 3. Hopefully getting delivered in a couple of weeks. The sleepyhead has been recommended to me, but I'm nervous after reading the advise from the lullaby trust so so have a read before you buy

peachypetite · 10/10/2020 08:46

@confused107 I’ve also decided against a sleepyhead. I have a Moses basket from Aldi for £30 for downstairs napping...sleepyhead seems like a very expensive pillow not suitable for overnight!
