@Asianchick6693 if baby gets through three a day that’s not even four days worth, so it doesn’t seem excessive to me.

@peachypetite That's okay then. I've also got 4 newborn size so I'll have 15 in total. Thanks!!

Goodness seeing my name at the top of the list scares me a bit 🙈. I'm due five weeks tomorrow yikes! Feeling pretty organised, the hospital bag is packed, baby clothes are all washed and the car seat is fitted! I had to go to triage yesterday to get checked for reduced movements and sudden excessive swelling in my feet but all is fine with the baby thank goodness. My blood pressure is a bit high but they don't think it's preeclampsia so just got to try and take it easy.

Also got a consultant's appointment tomorrow where we will likely make a plan for the birth. My baby is measuring big and I'm 41 so there are a few risk factors that will be taken into account. They may suggest I get induced early or have a section will know more tomorrow x

hey everyone! i'm due 7 weeks tomorrow, can't believe how fast it's come round! so many of you seem so prepared 😳 i don't finish work for another 5 weeks, and also got a house move to fit it before little girl arrives too 🙈 how are you all feeling?

Thanks again @danielasummer for creating the new thread.

@lionsmum thank you for sharing your story. I agree, if people feel like they can share their story then they should. It's good to get topics like this out there and get people talking so that they don't feel so alone at such a terrible time ❤️

@Asianchick6693 you will be surprised at how off the sizes vary. I was unsure what I would need for DS and in the end found it easier going off of the length on the labels rather than the age and weight. When DS was born he was 7lb14 and 51.5cm and he fit into the tiny baby and first size clothes in Asda.

@phe694 I'm finishing work end of this month, finishing redecorating house which should be done ny the end of the month too. Still nothing prepared as the house feels like construction site at the moment 🙈

@MsBee13 im a hairdresser and found it hard to say no to my girls so my last day has been changed so many times 🙄 it's now officially the 11th of november so fingers crossed she's not early 😳 oh how exciting! we're moving into a new house which is decorated so lovely, especially compared to our current house! and been given the go ahead to do what we like with our nursery! i'm hating living out of boxes not knowing where everything is so the move can't come quick enough 🤭

I’m feeling shattered. The last two nights I’ve woken up constantly to wee. I am getting back to sleep after but it’s obviously broken sleep so I don’t feel rested when I actually get up. So close to being done with work!

@phe694 we moved into our new house in January and finally seeing the end of the light. Still having a few boxes that need to be unpacked. I hope all goes well for you and you will be soon in your new home getting ready for the little one xx

Hi ladies. I was just wondering if any of you suggest it's safe to take paracetamol now? I'm having this horrid cold with headaches, sore throat and stuffed nose. I'm feeling awful. My OH keeps making me lemon, ginger and honey tea. Bless him. Any advice? I'm trying not to take any medication but don't want this to get worse. Thank you! X

Hi ladies, can I join? I'm due my c section on the 29th December. This is my 4th and was a surprise but I'm just as excited as I was for any of the others! We haven't found out the sex.

@MsBee13, I think taking paracetemol during pregnancy is fine, within reason. It's certainly better for you and the baby than having a fever as far as I know. I've taken a few for bad headaches with every one of my pregnancies. I hope you feel better soon!

@MsBee13 I've taken paracetamol all through out my pregnancy. Most in the first and second trimester sometimes daily because of my pelvic girdle pain. I couldn't have survived without it. Gp and midwife said it's absolutely safe. The maximum general dose is one or two tablets (500mg or 1,000mg in total) taken every four to six hours, up to four times in 24 hours.

@loobeelou thanks, I've noticed this when taking the tags off! Still feel clueless as I don't know how big/small my baby will be. I got majority 0-3 as I thought she'll outgrow the newborn ones very quickly.

Has everyone managed to get flu jab? I’ve also gone for more 0-3 but there are differences between shops. Mainly bought from next, M&S, tu.

@peachypetite I haven't had mine yet. Been feeling a tiny bit under the weather so I'm just waiting to feel a little better before going for it as usually vaccines make me feel terrible for about a week. Threw up instantly when I had the whooping cough! Have you had yours?

Report
peachypetite · 08/10/2020 12:56

I’m thinking about getting it after I finish work because if I react badly I don’t want to have to take time off in my final two weeks I have too much to do!

@peachypetite I was lucky with my flu jab and got it at Boots a couple of weeks ago. I went for the earliest possible appointment because of still being in school and in contact with students - if you're WFH then it's probably less of an issue to wait :-)
Mine didn't make me feel ill but it left a huge bruise!
