Anyone else just found out/newly pregnant?

I tested v positive this morning, with est ovulation 07.09.2020 and est due date 31.05.2021. So basically only 4 weeks pregnant?

I'm feeling only tiny symptoms - a bit bloat, crampy, fluttery tummy and a bit gassy.

Finding myself so nervous about potential miscarriage. Checking for blood every time I wee! Just exercised and worried throughout about somehow harming it Blush

Anyone else in the same position?

Hi I'm newly pregnant and a first time mum. I'm a little anxious

North1982 · 12/10/2020 17:09

@Sitchervice, how many weeks are you? Early pregnancy can be such an anxious time, but I think you’ll find lots of support on here

Sitchervice · 12/10/2020 17:12

@North1982 test says 1-2 weeks which is around 5 - 6 bit early for it to have sunk in. Like what ifs all over the place :/

North1982 · 12/10/2020 17:16

It’s really hard to do but try to relax into it a bit- otherwise it’s a very long 12 weeks! I need to take my own advice on this btw- trying to take it a day at a time.

Sitchervice · 12/10/2020 17:23

@North1982 yeah very hard with it being in lock down. Not much else to think about lol

Mishmased · 13/10/2020 22:48

@North1982 you'll def have questions to answer. I have two boys so people will assume I'm trying for a girl 😆

Mishmased · 13/10/2020 22:55

@Sitchervice hello and congrats'

@Northernlass101 many congrats hop on!

North1982 · 14/10/2020 07:06

Congrats @Northernlass101! How far North are you? I’m in Newcastle

samlh · 14/10/2020 09:19

I'm joining this thread as got a strong positive on Sunday.

Quick calcs put me as due around 20th June and currently 4+5.
First pregnancy for me so very shocked, excited, scared and in a perpetual state of exhaustion at the moment.

Sitchervice · 14/10/2020 09:52

I can't decide if I'm having actual symptoms or if it's in my head. XD been feeling a little sick today

Sitchervice · 14/10/2020 09:53

@samlh welcome. I'm first time too! Sooo tired as well

samlh · 14/10/2020 16:06

@Sitchervice I found out on Sunday and up until yesterday from Saturday I have been knackered (for want of a better word) yet today I am moderately awake and have been able to focus at work much better.

I am guessing that it will come in waves (well that's what I keep being told from Dr Google)

Congrats by the way :) x

Sitchervice · 14/10/2020 16:08

@samlh thank you. Congratulations to you too. I'm using an app called pregnancy+ it's really good!

samlh · 14/10/2020 16:15

@Sitchervice I will have a look :) Thanks

North1982 · 17/10/2020 14:00

Anyone else struggling with sickness? 🤢🙁 I’m seven weeks tomorrow and feel so grim

Sitchervice · 17/10/2020 14:33

@North1982 mildly in the mornings. But can't go near MC donalds at all! I'd recommend smoothies. My sister suggested it to me. She said it gets some nutrition into you if you can eat at all.

Archaeo20 · 20/10/2020 19:48

@North1982 I have constant nausea its awful keep feeling sick but nothing is happening, I'd rather just be sick and have some reprieve. I'm 7+3 with my first baby.
I've barely eaten today 🤢
Also might have a water infection so waiting for the doctors to call me back. I'm really hoping it gets easier soon.

North1982 · 20/10/2020 20:15

@Archaeo20, I feel your pain! It really is rubbish, the side no one tells you properly about. I knew what was coming because I have two children, but it still knocks me off my feet. If the nausea is debilitating they can prescribe you something- I’ve been prescribed cyclizine today.

In all my pregnancies I’ve hardly had any vomiting, just the awful nausea. Last time was so bad I was signed off work for 4 weeks. If it’s any consolation, I’ve always found weeks 7-9 the absolute worst, and then a very gradual improvement from then. Disappeared both times for me by 14 weeks x

Archaeo20 · 20/10/2020 20:35

@north1982 I hope it starts to ease soon. I took the day off today and just relaxed.
I'll speak to the GP about it and see what they say.
Can't wait to meet my little one but I hope they get nicer to me soon 😂
Its good to be able to speak to people in a similar situation. My husband is being amazing but he is clueless 😂😂

PabsyPops · 20/10/2020 20:39

I'm exactly 8 weeks today and although I've not been sick I've had horrible nausea. I feel like it's got worse today and dreading it getting worse again! I also feel a bit of relief though as it gives me some peace of mind that all is going okay!

babytalk1 · 20/10/2020 20:50

Hi, im 4+4 and feeling excited but so nervous! I’ve already had 2 MC since April, so praying this pregnancy is successful. But with the last two i had sore boobs, this time there not that sore.. anyone had this before?

Archaeo20 · 20/10/2020 20:52

@pabsypops I completely get that. Its worry combined with relief. I'm so concerned about eating the right foods but today I've just tried to get any food in me at all.
I'm glad I can work from home for half of the week!

HereWeGoooo · 20/10/2020 23:27

Found out I'm Pregnant for the first time .. think I'm 5 weeks today. Planned but didn't expect it to happen first time! Feel like the pregnancy test must be wrong!
What the hell are we doing?! Despite the fact I'm 35, in a good relationship, both have jobs and own and lovely home, I'm bricking it and feel well out my depth. So many years thinking only of myself, I'm in for a shock! Apart from praying the baby is healthy, worried about being a crap mum and how much life is about to change. But I did want this. So why am I so shocked!?!
