Anyone else just found out/newly pregnant?

I tested v positive this morning, with est ovulation 07.09.2020 and est due date 31.05.2021. So basically only 4 weeks pregnant?

I'm feeling only tiny symptoms - a bit bloat, crampy, fluttery tummy and a bit gassy.

Finding myself so nervous about potential miscarriage. Checking for blood every time I wee! Just exercised and worried throughout about somehow harming it Blush

Anyone else in the same position?

@ScottishLassie91 I've become a bit of a symptomless wonder the last 2 days. Trying not to worry about it! Nips very pointy though

Hey! Please can I join this group? Just found out this morning am 2-3 weeks apparently and am freaking out rather as had convinced myself it wasn't going to happen on first month of trying, particularly as I've been having period cramping for the past few days identical to what happens every month just before I come on. No sign of it yet though!

Tried to book a dr appt and they told me 'oh we don't do that anymore, you just self refer for your scans etc', was quite surprised! Anyone else been told this?

Jen8888 · 01/10/2020 14:33

Can I join?
I'm due 5th June...

Clearblue said 1-2 weeks on the weekend but all apps suggest I'm 4 weeks... very confusing! X

North1982 · 01/10/2020 14:42

@Jen8888, the 4 week ones are referring to the first date of your last period and that will be the one used by medical professionals to date you I think (along with scan).

ScottishLassie91 · 01/10/2020 15:02

@curiouscat1987 yeah very common to self refer to the midwife dept now x

Lauren0506 · 01/10/2020 15:20

@Jen8888 I used the clear blue all the way from 1-2 to 3+ I classed myself as 5 weeks because they said to add 2 weeks on I went to the midwife and she’s put me at 4+3 the other day, it was hard for me to determine dates as I fell straight away after a miscarriage and didn’t have a period so it’s all confusing. But I rang for a private scan and the man is a OB/GYN consultant and he said not to always listen to the midwife as it was a rough estimate so I guess I got to wait until my scan to know 🙈 sorry I’m new by the way just joined the chat hope you don’t mind :-)

SarahTTC2020 · 01/10/2020 17:01

@TheDaydreamBelievers I have the super pointy nips!! They are aching more today actually but they've been poking through my bra all the time for a couple days 🤣

Jen8888 · 01/10/2020 21:28

Thanks @Lauren0506 and congratulations Star

I haven't yet rang the Drs to arrange the booking in appointment as we all have Covid! (Me, DH and 2yr old DS) so waiting til we're out of isolation xxx

PabsyPops · 01/10/2020 22:32

When is everyone planning on telling people? I want to tell my mum and dad ASAP but I don’t know if it is too early? I am happy to tell friends at 12+ weeks but it’s family I am keen to tell!!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 02/10/2020 08:56

@SarahTTC2020 they are definitely overall bigger too. Husband is quite keen on this for now haha

@PabsyPops I told my two best friends, but with caution as obviously things could go wrong. Will tell our parents and more friends after scan (which is at 10wks for us)

I've got no symptoms at all apart from period feeling cramps. My boobs are no bigger (although already big so might be hard to tell!) and dont feel any different, no nausea or anything (not complaining about that one). Anyone else new to this and not got any symptoms?

ScottishLassie91 · 02/10/2020 18:14

@PabsyPops weve told our parents and also told my bf. We are really close with both sets of parents so it felt horrible keeping it a secret from them.
I've got an 8 week scan booked for a week on monday and all going well will tell our brothers then telling everyone else after 12 week scan x

Bluebirdsky · 03/10/2020 09:43

@curiouscat1987 I haven't got any symptoms either, maybe some occasional nausea but nothing significant.
I didn't have any symptoms with my first pregnancy though and 2 year old DS is day next to me so I'm trying not to worry about it too much (easier said than done though!)

BC2021 · 06/10/2020 20:30

Hi everyone, hope you’re all keeping well?
I am struggling with the sickness!! 🤢
At the weekend I couldn’t even keep water down!
On Monday my colleague suggested ice poles and my goodness that first ice pole tasted like gold! I also got some sickness bands on Monday too and since then I have managed to keep most things down (touches wood). Still feel super nauseous though!
Just thought I’d share this with you all incase it helps anyone else.

Also has a private scan today and I’m 8weeks! It was amazing to see but I still feel so anxious about it all! 😬
The only way to describe how I’m feeling is “But I’m just a girl!”
Sending lots of love! 😘

Mishmased · 06/10/2020 21:43

@BC2021 fantastic news! Great to hear you're keeping well. Haven't been on here for a while as been having a few wobbles. Currently 6 weeks today and will be having a scan in EPU on Friday. I do feel nauseous which I've never had with my previous pregnancies.

North1982 · 12/10/2020 11:01

How is everyone doing? I’m 6+1 and the sickness is starting- this is my third pregnancy and each time I forget how awful it is. Constantly have to keep my stomach full or I feel even worse 🤢

Mishmased · 12/10/2020 15:33

@North1982 I'm good, great to hear from you. Third pregnancy here and 8 weeks tomorrow. I have a hematoma so on and off spotting. They're hoping it bleeds out on its own. We'll see when I return at 12 week scan. I didn't have nausea with my two but sometimes I feel a bit nauseous and my nipples hurt like mad. How old are your other kids? Mine are 5 and 7. All going well 7 year old will be 8 when baby is born.

Mishmased · 12/10/2020 15:34

7 weeks tomorrow not 8

Mishmased · 12/10/2020 15:36

@Jen8888 how are you guys feeling?

Jen8888 · 12/10/2020 15:41

Hi @Mishmased
We're ok thanks, had a bit of a scare yesterday.
Went to the loo and saw quite a lot of blood (from what I could tell)
So totally broke down and spent the day in bed.

It's stopped now, which is reassuring.

EPU won't see me for an early scan until 7 weeks and so booked in for next Monday xx

North1982 · 12/10/2020 15:51

@Jen8888, I hope everything is ok. I know bleeding can be really common in the first trimester. A big shock for you though - these first weeks are so tough.

@Mishmased- good news that it was a haematoma and not more serious. My two are currently 2 and 4- they’ll be 3 and 5 if everything goes ahead with this one.

Mishmased · 12/10/2020 15:54

@Jen8888 oh no.
How much blood are we talking? Did you need a pad or pants liner or was it pooled on tissue when you wiped?
Sorry for the questions I'm asking because I had similar from 4 weeks every Tom I wiped there's blood. Epu here don't scan until 6 weeks so agonizing 10 days wait. I did and still do have slight cramping but not major. In my case I has my scan last Friday and they found a hematoma which is the cause of the bleeding. By the time I got to hospital it had stopped but started again yesterday. When are you 7 weeks? Annoying how different hospitals have different criteria,x

Mishmased · 12/10/2020 15:56

@Jen8888 I missed the part where you said it has stopped. That's great.
@North1982 great ages! Tho brace yourself for the 'you will have your hands full' comment 🤣🤣

North1982 · 12/10/2020 15:58

Oh god I know- we have a boy and a girl as well so I bet we have people wondering why we’re doing it in the first place! It’s more to do with being one of 3 for me, I still don’t feel done!
