Anyone else just found out/newly pregnant?

I tested v positive this morning, with est ovulation 07.09.2020 and est due date 31.05.2021. So basically only 4 weeks pregnant?

I'm feeling only tiny symptoms - a bit bloat, crampy, fluttery tummy and a bit gassy.

Finding myself so nervous about potential miscarriage. Checking for blood every time I wee! Just exercised and worried throughout about somehow harming it Blush

Anyone else in the same position?

@Samlh I found out on Sunday too, so expecting (I think) to be due late June 2021 too. I'm tired but not pregnancy related I don't think. Just because my mind is in overdrive right now keeping me up! Wahhhh this is such a crazy experience.

@HereWeGoooo I seem to have been a bit more awake since the weekend, last week was hard work though. I am 5+5 today and I feel a bit queasy this morning (hoping it was jut the porridge at 6am - bit too much milk for me at that time).

I'm 36 and this is my first pregnancy. We only got married last December and although we weren't trying, we weren't not trying (make sense) I am bricking it as well! It's petrifying! If you ever need a virtual hand hold then just tag me :) xx

@samlh It's so surreal when it happens to you. Feel like it's always on mind. I suppose we have to be grateful - a lot of couples really struggle. I did worry leaving it to mid 30s that when I eventually started trying it would be difficulty .. hence the shock it's happened right away.
I'm 5w+1 and for the first day since conception really, my boobs are less tender. Feeling quite thirsty. And feel like eating all of the different food groups on a daily basis is quite hard 😂
Feel like I should be happier, but also been waiting for it to sink in with my partner first too, so we can hopefully begin to get excited about it. Who knew this was what pregnancy would be like! We'll soon know it all! X

I found ginger but biscuits help. Just nibbling on them. I have constant nausea and sore boobs which I never had with my two pregnancies. Hopefully it passes soon.

That should read ginger nut biscuits 😁

Hi everyone! So I'm telling my family the news tomorrow (I'm 8 weeks) but now I've just got really nervous and anxious! I had an early scan last week which was absolutely perfect but now I'm worrying that telling people is making it real and I've still got another 4 weeks to go until my 12 weeks scan! I've had no bleeding (touch wood) and nothing to suggest things aren't going well but I'm just worried telling my family is going to get everyone so excited and I don't know if all is okay! Am I being crazy? Is this just nerves about telling them? It's my first pregnancy and their first grandchild!

Mishmased · 22/10/2020 13:04

Hi @PabsyPops congrats! You can tell anyone whenever it doesn't matter. Most people have normal uneventful pregnancies and I have had that twice, so def if you want to tell them do, you're def not crazy!

PabsyPops · 22/10/2020 13:09

I can't wait to tell them and I know they're going to be so excited!!! But I'm just like OMG this is now real and what if something goes wrong 🙈

HereWeGoooo · 22/10/2020 21:35

@samlh told closest family today and feel soooo much better to get the secret off my chest (have only known 5 days!) Their positive reactions have really made me feel more relaxed so hoping to sleep better now. I'm lucky; life as we know it is going to majorly change but I have people closeby happy and willing to help so really just got relax and take it as it comes. Time to enjoy lie ins, fancy meals, hotel weekend away, luxury purchases - get them done now!

PabsyPops · 22/10/2020 22:11

@HereWeGoooo how did you tell them? Literally just come out and say it? I don't know how to break the news tomorrow!

HereWeGoooo · 22/10/2020 22:37

@PabsyPops went round to my mum's for a garden coffee this afternoon, which I do quite frequently anyway since moving house very closeby, and since she already has 6 grandkids, all I had to say was "so we've got some news for you.... GRANNN" and she picked up on the cue right away!
Then went to partner's parents in the evening where she offered my some gin haha I said no and she said 'oh are you driving?' so I just said yeah (I wasn't!..) expecting that partner would use that to begin to tell them (he didn't!) A few more conversations later he finally joked that since he hadn't got them anything for their retirement he now had a late gift for them, especially since they now have more time on their hands... Long pause... "You're going to be grandparents" quickly followed by "it's very early days" etc...
Heart thumping, adrenalin rushing beforehand though.. I bit like how I felt reading the pregnancy test result!!

@pabsypops How did it go??

To all those newly pregnant, are you getting the flu jab? If so, do you arrange it yourself or wait to speak to midwife at first phone consultation and they arrange for you?

PabsyPops · 27/10/2020 19:56

@HereWeGoooo it went really well thank you! Everyone is so excited and I'm now I'm randomly getting baby names sent through on texts periodically throughout the day 😂
