Anyone else just found out/newly pregnant?

I tested v positive this morning, with est ovulation 07.09.2020 and est due date 31.05.2021. So basically only 4 weeks pregnant?

I'm feeling only tiny symptoms - a bit bloat, crampy, fluttery tummy and a bit gassy.

Finding myself so nervous about potential miscarriage. Checking for blood every time I wee! Just exercised and worried throughout about somehow harming it Blush

Anyone else in the same position?

North1982 · 27/09/2020 19:46

Would anyone mind if I jumped on this thread? I’m new to Mumsnet and just got a bfp yesterday- I’m exactly 4 weeks going by lmp. If this sticks, it will be baby number 3

3andout · 27/09/2020 19:51

Hi all,

I got a bfp yesterday. Still super early and I am unbelievably anxious. I been convincing myself it's a chemical all day. I'd forgotten how much stress I put on myself in the early stages...

This will be dc3, I have 2 dd's, 6 and 2.

Congratulations everyone xx

rosegoldivy · 27/09/2020 19:54

Hey ladies hope you don't mind me jumping on.
Had a bit of a shock pregnancy positive test.... A suprise to say the least.
Have absolutely no idea how far along I am as I came off the pill about 8 weeks ago and my period didn't return. Still trying to wrap my head around it all and panicking as we will have 2 under 2

North1982 · 27/09/2020 19:54

@3andout - congrats! Nice to see someone else going for number 3! My two are 4 and 2. I know what you mean about chemicals - it all feels too early to get excited.

Mishmased · 27/09/2020 20:00

Congrats guys and welcome. This will be number 3 for me as well. I have a 7 and 5 year old.

3andout · 27/09/2020 20:01

@North1982 it's nice to have someone in the same boat.
This time round is completely different from my first 2, which is why I think I'm even more on edge. Not to mention I've also just entered my 40's 🤦🏼‍♀️

Mishmased · 27/09/2020 20:04

@barbiemummy20 have tried crackers, ginger tea, or ginger biscuits? People swear by them. Also eating small amounts at a time may help. Soups are supposed to be good as well.
I never tried as I never had any symptoms or nausea or morning sickness. I'm a bit hungrier and want to eat rice and curries 🤣

Mishmased · 27/09/2020 20:05

@Tipptopgirl how're you feeling?

North1982 · 27/09/2020 20:19

I don’t know many with 3 in rl so it’s nice to chat to people on here! 2 is definitely the norm round here (North East)

ScottishLassie91 · 27/09/2020 20:55

@BC2021 sorry to hear you're going through this.
Unfortunately, although I think these forums can be super helpful I think they can also make you more anxious as there is so much stuff on here. I had to come off for a couple of days as I read so much I ended up terrified. It's so upsetting but I realised most pregnancies will go full term with no problems x

Amethyst2502 · 27/09/2020 20:59

Is anyone else having lots of twinges? Currently got twinges on and off more on the left side around the knicker waistband height. Can you feel stretching pains this early?

Mishmased · 27/09/2020 21:05

I finally told DH tonight after keeping quiet for a grand total of 6 days😁
To say he was delighted is an understatement, he had a massive grin on his face. Just kept smiling and looking at me. I had to tell him to calm down a bit as it is very early days, he was already talking about ring the doctor are we getting a bigger car or multimac seats as we have two hatchbacks. I was like slow down eh! At least I can talk to him when I get a bit nervous about the whole situation.

Mishmased · 27/09/2020 21:07

@Amethyst2502 I think the twinges are more heightened 🤣 I never had any until around 14 weeks but now I swear I feel things😁
Maybe if the pregnancies with my two wear this nerve wracking I would have stopped at 2 or even 1!

Romanticrights · 27/09/2020 21:17

Hi! Hope I'm ok to jump on! Got my BFP last week, I think I'm about 6 weeks? Massive shock so slowly getting my head around it. Already have DD nearly 2. I'm feeling so sick 24/7, it's horrendous. Also had some bleeding today so really worried... EPU can't see me until Wednesday so I guess I'll wait and see.

Kamiros · 27/09/2020 21:25

Hi. Hoping I'm OK to join. Just coming up 6 weeks with 1st baby, due 27th May. We had been ttc for years and finally got bfp just as we'd started looking into private IVF. Feel reassured knowing that I'm not the only one anxious about things.

Diamond89 · 27/09/2020 21:29

Hey ladies,

Congrats. Jumping on the bandwagon. I’m 5w4d. I had a MMC earlier this year at 12 weeks. For the last week I’ve been really calm - boobs started to hurt and lots of headaches - but last night I had a proper shitty dream that I’d miscarried. It was so vivid that I woke up and ran to the loo.

Now feeling anxious which I know doesn’t help anyone! Argh. Hoping venting will help x

TheDaydreamBelievers · 27/09/2020 22:48

Hello hello @Romanticrights @Kamiros and @Diamond89! So sorry to hear youve had some current and past stressful moments with pregnancy and pregnancy loss. I've never been pregnant and am so scared of miscarriage or MMC. I dont want to tell our parents until the 12 week scan (booked at 10 weeks for me).

Romanticnights- I hope the bleeding stops for you,
fingers are crossed .

Scottish gals - I've just got appt letters through the post that imply the 8 week one is in person so I will have to call to find out if its telephone or not! Also the accompanying booklet says there are a lot of blood tests to do in early pregnancy so I'm not sure when they will do them?

Thanks everyone being so kind.

@Mishmased im feeling ok, iv had a very teary day iv really not been myself, I was holding it all together until this evening and then i just blubbered for a while then had a nap so now wide awake. Thought danger naps were only for kids 😜.
Im still brown spotting and its really getting me down now.
So they didnt ring me today with my results from last nights blood test 😭 it will be tomorrow morning / early afternoon I expect. The wait has been awful.

Mishmased · 27/09/2020 23:15

@Tipptopgirl sending lots of ❤️❤️❤️
I'll keep on hoping for you. Been a rollercoaster few days for you. Take it easy and hopefully tomorrow will bring good news.xx

Mishmased · 27/09/2020 23:17

Congrats to all the new joiners.x

ScottishLassie91 · 27/09/2020 23:31

@TheDaydreamBelievers when I called, they said the letter would show to go the hospital but it would be over the phone so just to disregard that bit x

Buffbeag · 27/09/2020 23:47

@ScottishLassie91 @TheDaydreamBelievers so how do they check bloods and things if it is an over the phone appointment?

Does anyone know if they offer any earlier scans for having had two previous MC?

Kamiros · 28/09/2020 01:25

I'm also in Scotland. My appointment is over the phone but I'm booked in for bloods with my GP separately the day before. I have underactive thyroid, they up the medication during pregnancy and I need a blood test to check its enough. He said he'd just book me in for all my bloods at the same time, seemed to think they'd ask me at the phone appointment to arrange that with GP anyway but not sure if that's right.

TheDaydreamBelievers · 28/09/2020 07:12

Thanks @Kamiros @Buffbeag @ScottishLassie91! I will call them and check 1) is this in person or via telephone? And 2) what about the bloods?
