Anyone else just found out/newly pregnant?

I tested v positive this morning, with est ovulation 07.09.2020 and est due date 31.05.2021. So basically only 4 weeks pregnant?

I'm feeling only tiny symptoms - a bit bloat, crampy, fluttery tummy and a bit gassy.

Finding myself so nervous about potential miscarriage. Checking for blood every time I wee! Just exercised and worried throughout about somehow harming it Blush

Anyone else in the same position?

Hi all,

Just found out I was pregnant on Saturday 2-3 weeks according to the test.
My husband and I had literally just started trying for our first so I'm feeling very shocked and overwhelmed even though it was planned. I really wasn't expecting everything to happen this quickly. Calling the midwife to make appointments tomorrow Shock

Telling a few close family members but thats it until 12 weeks.

ScottishLassie91 · 28/09/2020 21:11

@Tipptopgirl so sorry to hear that 💜 x

@SarahTTC2020 it's so hard but I'd suggest taking a break from it all. When I first found out I was so anxious and found being on here didn't help at times. I spoke with my mum and close friend who told me to take a break as unfortunately things can get distorted on here as sadly people have had previous losses x
Speaking from indirect experience, my mum had a surprise baby when I was 19 so I was with her through the whole thing. At 11 weeks she had a check up and scan and the baby was was very healthy but they told my mum she had to stop thinking about everything that could go wrong and readung everything, all the whatifs as it was causing her so much anxiety that was starting to show up in her vitals that it could end up doing more harm than good x she took a break from reading about all the %chances and now has a super healthy and hyper 9 year old xx

Hi everyone! Tested yesterday and today and BFP on both! Thinking I am around 4/5 weeks. I'm so excited and planning how to tell our parents but also freaking out as it's so early!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 28/09/2020 23:03

Hey @PabsyPops and welcome! We are a big group now! Mix of people from first pregnancy to 3rd, and from across the UK

Congrats and hello to everyone over the past few days 👋🏼

Those who booked a private scan - how far were you when you booked it?

And also pregnancy apps - is anyone else’s telling them just how awful they will feel?! I’m 6+4 today and so far so good, but they are putting the fear of god into me that the first trimester will be hell! I think I may delete it as yesterday felt a bit daunted by it all.

Romanticrights · 29/09/2020 09:17

So I think I'm losing it, bleeding is heavy and red and some minor cramping. Have a scan in the morning but just can't see how it can be a positive outcome. Even the nausea isn't as bad. Feeling really sad!

Mishmased · 29/09/2020 09:43

@Romanticrights so sorry to hear that.❤️

Mishmased · 29/09/2020 09:44

@hereforallthehelp I never had any of those early pregnancy symptoms. No morning sickness, nausea etc. so you may both have it.x

North1982 · 29/09/2020 09:45

@Romanticrights, I’m really sorry. Hope you’re not in too much pain. Do you have anyone with you?

hereforallthehelp · 29/09/2020 15:12

So sorry to hear that @Romanticrights

SugarPlumRoar · 29/09/2020 15:13

@Romanticrights I'm so sorry, do you have someone with you?

Lauren0506 · 29/09/2020 15:16

Hey, I’m 5 weeks+3 had my midwife appointment today. Previously 2 miscarriages, such a nervous wreck with this pregnancy 😩

Lauren0506 · 29/09/2020 15:18

@Romanticrights so sorry! I have been through it not that long ago either so I know exactly how you are feeling ❤️

TheDaydreamBelievers · 29/09/2020 15:22

@Romanticrights I'm so sorry, wishing you all the best xo

@hereforallthehelp for private early scans they say try and book between 8-12 weeks.

With that pregnancy I'm sure I was about 9+4.

I've booked another early scan again this time but it's not until 1st November. Seems like absolutely agggeesss away.

Bluebirdsky · 29/09/2020 22:39

I'm so sorry @Romanticrights I hope that you're not in your own x

Bluebirdsky · 29/09/2020 22:41

Sorry I have been quiet since my initial hello; my little boy has been unwell and in hospital over the weekend and now I have caught his bug and feel like crap!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 30/09/2020 11:23

@TheDaydreamBelievers

Thanks *@Kamiros* *@Buffbeag* *@ScottishLassie91*! I will call them and check 1) is this in person or via telephone? And 2) what about the bloods?
FYI for the scottish folks, my 13th October appt is a telephone one, they'll sort bloods separately, and 1 other person can attend scan.

@Bluebirdsky sorry to hear your wee one is unwell!

Hi ladies,
I have a quick question I’m early into my pregnancy (5+4) does anybody else have the problem of leaking, every time I go to the toilet, underwear can be damp :-/. I forgot to ask my midwife yesterday. Tia

TheDaydreamBelievers · 30/09/2020 14:06

Hey @Lauren0506 urine or discharge?

I have no leaking of urine (first pregnancy) but was v damp discharge wise last week.

No such thing as TMI with pregnancy, is there? Hahah Grin

Anyone else in Scotland having issues just getting through to your midwife dept for a booking appointment? I have been trying for 3 days both by phone and email and so far not had any reply. 😔

TheDaydreamBelievers · 01/10/2020 07:44

@Buffbeag cant remember what healthboard you are but in NHS ggc I've been okay. Did have to wait a while on the phone yesterday morning (a phone queue at 9am!)

Ps - does anyone fancy a scottish early pregnancy group? No offence meant to non Scots but this group is so massive it's hard to keep up!

Kamiros · 01/10/2020 08:01

I'm in Fife and haven't had any issues phoning in. Think it's a good idea to also have a Scottish group.

rosegoldivy · 01/10/2020 08:52

@buffbeag I'm in North Lanarkshire and just had to phone my local midwife clinic and it literally took 2 seconds and they said they will phone me back for a phone consultation about 8 or 9 weeks.

@Thedaydreambelievers more than happy for a Scottish chat :)

ScottishLassie91 · 01/10/2020 08:53

Hows everyone doing today?
Anyone else got really sore boobs? Mines are so sore they're waking me up when I move when sleeping 😭
