Anyone else just found out/newly pregnant?

I tested v positive this morning, with est ovulation 07.09.2020 and est due date 31.05.2021. So basically only 4 weeks pregnant?

I'm feeling only tiny symptoms - a bit bloat, crampy, fluttery tummy and a bit gassy.

Finding myself so nervous about potential miscarriage. Checking for blood every time I wee! Just exercised and worried throughout about somehow harming it Blush

Anyone else in the same position?

Right here with same ovulation and due date 🙋🏼‍♀️

I've had so many thoughts run through my head the last two days but fear of miscarriage is definitely one of them, let's hope for sticky little bubbas 💞

I'm watching an episode of one born every minute (I've always loved it even before thinking about pregnant) but my blood just ran cold and for a second I realised in 8 months time I'm going to have to give birth to baby! How scary!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 21/09/2020 22:08

Hey @HeyDW96 it IS so scary! How are you feeling physically?

Any hopes for a boy/girl? Will you find out do you think?

I'm trying to balance getting excited with being cautious given it's so early

I feel fine, my boobs remind me very often that there is something going on in there 😰

I'm terrified, I don't think either of us has truly let it sink in yet. We are happy, and I can't wait but my fear is totally over riding that right now unfortunately!

HeyDW96 · 21/09/2020 22:13

I would love a boy but don't think we will find out!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 21/09/2020 22:21

Same here! Would prefer a boy but happy with either and arent planning on finding out.

@HeyDW96 so funny how varied it is. My boobs feel totally normal!

I haven't told anyone, I want to tell my mum as I am so scared. I go through stages of happiness and then the fear takes over. I work in healthcare and I suppose knowing too much can cause anxiety 🤦🏼‍♀️

TheDaydreamBelievers · 21/09/2020 22:35

@HeyDW96 - definitely date twins - I'm an nhs clinician too and 100% know too much! I think we wont tell anyone for a while yet. Hard as my best friend is currently visiting (lives abroad) but I just dont feel the time is quite right

@TheDaydreamBelievers @HeyDW96 Hi both! Spoken on other threads but thought I’d join you both here so we can all freak out together 😂

Anyone else veryyyyy bloated? I look 6 months already!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 22/09/2020 08:03

Welcome @hereforallthehelp! I FEEL bloated (and burpy, yuck) but don't look too bloated yet. I also feel lots of small cramps and just a little out of sorts.

I feel so nervous- checking the toilet paper every time I go I the bathroom and took another test today just in case!

Do you know your est due date? (With the caveat that it always changes at the scan!).

Mine is est due 31/05
Midwife appt booked for 13/10 and scan booked 03/11!!!

Feels so odd that in NHS scotland I get all those bookings without them even seeing a test! Like just 2 lines and call a number and all that gets done

HeyDW96 · 22/09/2020 08:45

I've been waking up early too, but I do get up at 5.30 on a work day anyway, and having extremely vivid dreams.

Going to phone for my booking appointment today, love that I live in an area where we all know each other, lead practice nurse used to give me lifts to nursery and I was best friends with her son and my GP's son is my partners best friend 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣 oh and the community midwife just lives up the road from my mother 👏🏻

TheDaydreamBelievers · 22/09/2020 09:26

Haha @HeyDW96 that's amazing! Hope they are all nice Smile

I found out I was pregnant Friday 4th Sept, had thought I was 6 weeks however had an early scan on 12th and was only measuring 4weeks 2 and nothing more than pregnancy sack, have had call with midwife and I am still getting positive tests so just to assume all is normal, waiting game for booking appointment and bloods in mid October then hopefully a scan, I have had not bleeding or cramping so just hoping my dates were wrong as it's been a long road to get pregnant! Love to all who are on this journey xx

HeyDW96 · 22/09/2020 09:49

@TheDaydreamBelievers I was being a bit sarcastic there, it's almost too close for comfort 😂 I also have massive white coat syndrome!

hereforallthehelp · 22/09/2020 09:54

Hi @barbiemummy20 👋🏼

@TheDaydreamBelievers Due around 26th May 2021 I believe but that’s just so far away I can’t let myself get too excited yet. Also checking everytime I go to the toilet. Going to take another test on Friday I think and hopefully the weeks have gone up although I know the CB digital aren’t that reliable!

TheDaydreamBelievers · 22/09/2020 10:01

@HeyDW96 sorry i have no idea how I missed that! I agree it sounds a bit close. My dentist is my mums dentist and sometimes tells her stuff and I'm like... I dont mind but he also SHOULDNT...

@barbiemummy20 hello and welcome!

!@hereforallthehelp - exciting but soooooo far away. I took another cheapie today just to check the line is still clear and present!

Hello! Can I join too?

Got a BFP yesterday, due 1st June 2021. We weren’t officially trying so I’m very shocked!

Mishmased · 22/09/2020 12:19

Can I join you all? Tested yesterday after my friend called to say she dreamt I was pregnant and I replied with nah. Period started on sat and stopped so got me thinking and I did a test last night. Like you David I'm due Jun 1st.
Had a mc in July at 6 weeks so very nervous at the moment. Congrats all 💃🎊

TheDaydreamBelievers · 22/09/2020 13:06

Congratulations @EwwDavid and @Mishmased!

I completely understand the anxiety. I'm sorry you had that experience @Mishmased. For that reason I am so unsure of when to tell people. I know there's no guarantees at any stage and I feel a bit powerless that all I can do is try to eat well, rest, and re-test every so often to check I'm still pregnant! Tested again this morning haha, just to check!
