Thrilled for you, @Workingmama1, and such a relief to get an answer - it will be much less stressful if it happens again! Lovely for your DH to be there, too. What are the odds of bumping in to someone from the office! Did they know before they saw you?

Congrats @Stina85! I'm 16+3 now (which is crazy!) but we have people ranging from first trimester through to about 18/19 weeks I think.

@RosieJess91 Someone in the October group I was in (and still keep in touch with) had her baby today... on her other child's birthday! That could be you! What a lovely gift - a little sibling!

Stina85 · 29/09/2020 17:23

@SkyBlue20 I'm looking forward to getting to where you are.... to be able to breathe and enjoy the ride. Was it stressful for you at the beginning?

RosieJess91 · 29/09/2020 17:24

@SkyBlue20 they would be different months, March and May, just weird about it being the 31st. My partners birthday is the 3rd April and mine is 1st May, so there's a lot of 1s and 3s with us!
@Workingmama1 So glad to hear that and I bet you've now been Googling like a crazy person what that all means!!

Pugprincess · 29/09/2020 17:39

@RosieJess91 sorry meant to type congratulations on your scan! I will blame baby brain 😆 the second pic looks like baby is facing you? So cool! X

RosieJess91 · 29/09/2020 17:51

@Pugprincess it does, but it isn't, that's the back of its head and the spine! Baby didn't look at me once. Was quite content facing towards the back all curled up! Did star jumps and walking and more water and jogging on the spot... didn't want to move! She even tried to prod it with the scanner merely wiggled away from it! That's why I have to go back on Monday...

ew1990 · 29/09/2020 17:55

@workingmama so happy for you!

@stinta85 you sound exactly like me. Pregnant straight after. You will worry it's normal. We've all worried from the minute we found out but keep positive 😊

DanceM1 · 29/09/2020 18:03

Ahhh there is so much to catch up on! Im so sorry if i forget to respond to something!

@Workingmama1 I am so relieved for you but also sorry you've been through all that stress. I think ive said before, a friend of mine bled all the way through pregnancy and all was good for her.

Welcome to the ladies that have joined us! It's so nice to see more and more people getting happy news!

My 20 week scan is in 2 weeks! I cant believe it. I think i will be very nervous for that. The sonogropher at my private scan at the weekend was great though and took some measurements and said everything looks good so please God, it will be 🙏 I think most people at work now but will need to tell my class after the 20 week scan too!

@SkyBlue20 I've well and truly joined your crazy dream club by the way! I have been having soo many horrible dreams and multiple dreams every night that are still really vivid the next morning!

Who was saying about dungarees?? I think they are a classic materntiy outfit, i would LOVE some but would also look horrendous in them so will have to give it a miss 🤣

DanceM1 · 29/09/2020 18:03

oh @RosieJess91 congrats on your scan!! Sorry baby wasn't playing ball but at least you know all is OK 🤣👍

Pugprincess · 29/09/2020 19:02

@RosieJess91 aw haha you have one naughty baby in there 😅 either that or shy ❤️

Workingmama1 · 29/09/2020 19:39

Thanks ladies. I'm definitely glad I got the scan.

@pugprincess did they tell you to do or not do anything in particular? The EPU (prior to knowing there was a hematoma) said to carry on as normal, light exercise and sex was ok.

Welcome to the new joiners!

Pugprincess · 29/09/2020 20:09

@Workingmama1 no nothing in particular. Some people say to test but I have to work so can’t do that. I never heavy lift though or exercise (oh yes she said don’t go jogging lol I said no chance even when not preg 😅) I have avoided sex since though as we are scared of that this time anyway so have been careful and I daren’t try again till it’s stopped (if ever 😩) let me know if you get brown like me or if yours goes back to normal straight away. I’ve had the odd bit of normal but everyday some brown has come at some point XX

SkyBlue20 · 29/09/2020 22:44

@Stina85 So stressful! The anxiety was awful! I had a bleed at 8 and a half weeks, too, so ended up having a trip to the EPU and a scan but all was ok. Had already booked a private scan for 10 weeks so ended up having a couple of pre-12 week checks, which was nice. Still not completely relaxed now but much better - I’m just desperate to get past the 20 week scan ok and to start feeling movement, but the anxiety is definitely not as bad as it was first trimester. It feels so long at the time but it does go faster than you realise and it does get easier, I promise! Just try to bat the negative thoughts away and replace them with nice ones.

Ahh, gotcha, @RosieJess91, sorry, misunderstood your last message! Seems like you’d have a run of birthdays, too, that’s so lovely.

@DanceM1 two weeks, that’s so soon! I do feel like it’s been about two days since we joined this thread and now here we are! I’m sure all will be perfect, especially after the private scan all looked good. Sorry to hear you’ve been having terrible dreams. I’ve had a bit of respite from them recently (luckily) but I don’t doubt that they’ll be back!

I must say, if the old wives’ tale that girls steal their mother’s beauty is true then I’m definitely having a girl! Just took my makeup off, looked in the mirror and gave myself a fright 😂🙈

I’ve got my 16 week appt in the morning, it’s going to be a shock to the system being up, ready and out of the door before 9, think I’m far too used to working from home now! 😬 Got a list of questions ready to ask and otherwise expecting to just be in and out.

Poppy10121 · 29/09/2020 23:09

@workingmama1 so glad you got the private scan and got some answers about the bleed. Sometimes I think EPUs main aim is just to get you back out the door! It’s a shame to feel that you can’t get what you need from the NHS but we are lucky to have both options.

@RosieJess91 I bet it was a relief to find out it’s just 1 naughty little one in there! Amazing news you’ve skipped forward a week too - the dream!!

@starfish762 I was symptom spotting from about 2 weeks 😂 but the most of my symptoms seemed to be at around 7-9 weeks, I started getting lots of indigestion/bloating and also feeling absolutely exhausted. For a few weeks there I was having a nap every day in the middle of the day/afternoon and still going to bed around 9pm!

@Dancem1 I’m fairly sure I’ll look a sight in dungarees too but I’m too excited about the lack of waistband 😂

@skyblue20 ooh do you get an in person appt for 16 weeks? Mad how different it is in different areas, I’ve basically been told apart from 12 and 20 week scans I won’t see anyone in person!

Starfish762 · 30/09/2020 07:45

@Poppy10121 thank you, that’s eased my mind a bit. I feel like I’m going out of my mind a bit knowing how much 12 weeks is going to drag (if I get there!) Going to book private scan for around 8.5 weeks & DH will be able to come so that’s a relief. My parents live 300 miles away & they’re down to stay next weekend anyway, so looking forward to telling them. Going to keep quiet from everyone else as long as we can, it helps having this group 😘 Bring on the symptoms! 🤞🏼

@SkyBlue20 good luck at your appointment, and getting out the house 😂 I’m exactly the same with WFH, got way too used to the slower paced life!

Sakura54 · 30/09/2020 08:53

So many posts in one day, it’s great.

@Workingmama1 Glad all is well with baby. Its annoying how sonographers see (or don’t see) different things. I guess some are better or more thorough than others? I see you’ve potentially joined me in the ‘split womb’ club. She probably didn’t say anything more about it as it’s minor. My consultant didn’t seem to think it was a big deal despite the fact it potentially caused issues with my first.

Congrats @Stina85 18 +3 here. I think I’ll be the first one to have a baby if all goes well. Most of us here had to have early scans due to bleeding. The panic made worse by having a previous MC, so the worry doesn’t fully go away.

Regarding being out the house before 9, I don’t know if this sounds lazy, but I’m considering changing DS’ nursery start time next term to 10am instead of 9am as even though I wake up early naturally, I’m tired these days and could do without rushing him to get ready. It would also mean he gets to go an extra half day which is beneficial for him.

So I felt the baby rolling to the front, touched my stomach and felt kicks on my hand! Thought it’d be way too early to feel from the outside. I never feel bubbles anymore so I’m thinking, all that time I thought it was gas over a month ago, it might have been the baby after all. I know it’s alive and the kicks are kinda strong, but gosh I really hope that it’s all healthy. A week to go until my scan and MW appt. I’ve been waiting a long time, it feels.

@sakura ahh amazing. I remember it well with DD. Little elbows and knees sticking out all over the place

@@skyblue20 hope your MW appointment went well x

Poppy10121 · 30/09/2020 15:45

@Starfish762 I know, it does feel like the longest wait! I think a private scan is a good idea at the moment when you're not allowed someone in with you at the hospital, we had one at 10.5 weeks and I was crying tears of relief afterwards!

@Sakura54 how exciting that you can feel baby moving, must be lovely and reassuring!

@SkyBlue20 hope everything went ok for you this morning xx

I'm starting to feel really wobbly about my official scan tomorrow. Had a real panic earlier about how I will feel if anything has gone wrong considering our friends announced their pregnancy the other day with the same due date as me. It would be just awful. Luckily I don't know anyone having a baby this month, or I think I would have found that really tough (when our original baby would have been due). Argh. I slept very badly last night so feeling even more teary and fragile than usual - I just want someone else to go to the scan for me and come and tell me its all going to be fine!

SkyBlue20 · 30/09/2020 16:40

Afternoon all!

Sorry for the silence after my appt - had to rush out to it then straight in to town for a fringe trim and then straight on to the office to train up a new starter and have only just got back home and settled.
Appointment was fine, just did blood pressure and urine sample and asked if I had any questions, not much else really. Next appt with them is early Dec. Was good to be able to ask about flu/whooping cough jabs and getting my eyelashes done though! Also got the form for my prescription exemption form so must get that sent off and book in to the dentist.

@Sakura54 Definitely not lazy to have a later start time at nursery - whatever you can do to make your life easier when pregnant, especially with a little one and in the middle of a global pandemic! So exciting feeling all of that movement!! Sure all will be ok at your scan but 100% understand the nerves.

@Poppy10121 Good luck for your scan tomorrow - I'm sure everything will be fine but very much understand the nerves. Is it morning one? Sending a big hand hold to you xx

Anyone who is feeling movements or anyone with other babies, whereabouts in your stomach did you feel early movements? When I was doing that training earlier, I'm certain I felt some bubbles in there really strongly but a. I wasn't paying much attention as was in the middle of talking through something so couldn't really focus on it, B. I was hungry so my stomach was making all sorts of noises, C. it's quite early for a FTM (16+4) and D. I think it was probably too high up to have been baby? It was sort of half way between my belly button and the bottom of my bra, so very high! I'm inclined to think it was hunger but it wasn't a sensation I've felt before, it was very much bubbling 🤷🏻‍♀️

ew1990 · 30/09/2020 17:07

@skyblue20 I deffo felt DD at 16 weeks.

I had my phone appointment today. All of 5 minutes. She said movements will be sporadic this early coz babies still low in the pelvis but every so often they might come up and you feel them then they bob back down

RosieJess91 · 30/09/2020 17:26

I still remember the pain of having a foot stuck up in my ribs (or that's what it felt like!)
I've had a few more bubbly feelings today, which have been quite nice! Maybe the baby has finally rolled over!!

SkyBlue20 · 30/09/2020 18:03

Oooh you're giving me hope that it was a movement! Will see if I have any more over the next week or two 🤞🏼 I just want to know he or she is ok in there 😫

@RosieJess91 Ahhh how lovely! I just read (during my extensive Googling to find the answer I wanted 😂) that at this stage if you feel them it's most likely to be when they're rolling over as they can still be a bit too little to feel punches and kicks so fingers crossed for you!

DanceM1 · 30/09/2020 18:29

@SkyBlue20 I know... its weird.. it feels like time is going slowly but I also feel like im somehow not a real pregnant person yet 🤣 dont know what I'm waiting for... maybe a bigger bump!? Glad your dreams have left you for now at least; less glad that they've come to me instead haha.

@Poppy10121 hahaha im sure you'll look great.. please show us a photo when you have them!!

@Starfish762 I didnt really feel any symptoms until around 8/9 weeks this time and initially they weren't as strong as last time when I had the MMC so I was worrying. However, I'm 18 weeks now and things are going well so far 🙏🤞 My symptoms suddenly grew and I was sleeping none stop and completely exhausted.

So jealous of all the movement ladies! Sounds amazing. I cannot wait to feel movement but it will likely be after my 20 week scan so I'll still be nervous as hell going in 😫 So far my husband is still allowed to come in with me this time though... or should I say, he is allowed to wait in the waiting room and then come in right at the end of the scan?!

SkyBlue20 · 01/10/2020 08:28

Morning all!

@DanceM1 The dreams were back last night - dreamt I kept getting in a lift and somebody kept throwing a grenade in there with me, luckily they had really bad aim/timing so it never fully got in but did get trapped in the door once and I had to get out just before it went off 🤷🏻‍♀️

Workingmama1 · 01/10/2020 08:56

Pregnancy dreams are killer! I had a mad one yesterday, when I woke up I was like wow thats crazy but then couldn't actually remember any of it!

@SkyBlue20 it's not necessarily too early to be feeling movements but they would probably be lower down, under your belly button for now I think. I'm still getting the odd rolling sensation sometimes at my knicker line, the sonographer on Tuesday said it looks like i have a posterior placenta so I could be feeling movements!

@Pugprincess my bleeding had more or less died down now but still getting specs of brown on wiping. It's horrible seeing it, I'm finding it really triggering. I was all set to go to bootcamp last night when my husband was like no you should be resting! So I didn’t go in the end, shame as I was really looking forward to it. I've spoken to the epu this morning for updated advice as they weren't aware of the hematoma on Tuesday, they've said light exercise is OK but eat and drink well and plenty of rest. They also said any red bleeding I need to call as I'm over 12 weeks, which was a little concerning as I may well have a other bleed from it.

This week hasn't been a good week for my anxiety wise, I need to actively do something about it I think. Literally anytime I'm not super busy I'm worrying and its having a physical effect on my... lack of appetite (also linked to MS though!) and a dodgy tummy. Its not helping that these two things are then giving me stomach cramps and making me more anxious!

Also my 16 week appointment probably won't be until 18 weeks as that's when they seem to do them here. I know its not an exciting appointment but it feels a long way away! Sorry bit of a moany morning!

Poppy10121 · 01/10/2020 09:22

I’ve been awake since 3am worrying about today’s 12 week scan, appt is at 11am 🙏🏻 I feel like I’m going to throw up!

@Workingmama1 sorry you’re having a tough time of it at the moment 😞 you sound so active (boot camp!!) it must be hard to rest and sit still! Can you take up a less active hobby to keep your mind busy? One of the exercises my counsellor suggested to me is making alphabetized lists to calm the mind - it sounds silly but I do find it helpful to divert my brain off a worry track. Eg make a list of girls name A-Z, makes of car A-Z, countries A-Z - keeps your mind ticking and gets it off the train of thought you’re on for a bit. Hope it might help you too xx
