@workingmama sorry you've bleed again. Good news that your cervix is closed. And about the scan tomorrow.

Partners can come to scans here but have to wait outside till the end and then can come in while they show them baby. Dp has not long started a new job and it's not worth a day off for 2 minutes at the end. So I'll be going alone again.

Thanks all. I'm hoping it's just the hematoma and it's not doing any damage. On the private scan it looked very close to the baby.

I was quite calm this morning, but just had a good old sob in the shower and now I can't stop the tears! Really wish they had space to scan me today, tomorrow at 1pm feels like a long way away, and I'm trying not to get too worked up to do any harm to the baby.

@Workingmama1 oh gosh what a worry, so unfair to make you wait that long! Cervix closed & no cramps are a good thing, plus they mustn’t be concerned or they’d see you sooner. Lots of love xxx

@Workingmama1 I really feel for you and totally understand where you are mentally. I hope you get some answers tomorrow. I had an extra scan today at EPU due to 2 weeks of on/off bleeding and mine is a subchorionic hematoma which means I could have bleeding for a while until it works it's way out. Every time I see blood it takes me back to the first huge bleed where I soaked through my trousers. We're going through something traumatic because every time we see blood we can't help but think the worst. Its likely the baby is totally unaffected so try and stay positive x

20 week scan complete!
Had such a wiggle bum, he wouldn't stay still for any measurements! But everything looks perfect, I got home and just thought of how excited I am now. Like this is the biggest milestone after 12 weeks, and I feel like now I can relax and get buying some items 😍

Bubbly, You must be so excited to have your little team of bodyguards! I still haven’t really got my head around having a girl this time.

When’s your due date? @Smilingdonkey You haven’t put yourself on our list yet! I know you’re not far behind us.

Had my vaginal scan today to check my cervix and womb and have to go back for another in 3 weeks as they want to monitor me.

I know I'm being ridiculous (and very superstitious) but every time I look out of the window I see one magpie (one for sorrow) and it's not helping with this anxiety! If the world could just offer up two magpies at a time, that would be wonderful, thanks! 😒

@workingmama1 I really hope you're ok. It sounds like it is looking positive but I completely understand your anxiety. I cant imagine how you must be feeling having to wait until 1pm tomorrow!

Ladies im having a very very anxious day and im all worked up! A child in my class is waiting on test results for covid and if they come back positive I am going to have to isolate which means I will miss my 20 week scan. Im so anxious about the pregnancy I will be absolutely devastated if I have to miss the scan. I cant relax for thinking about it but I know its out of my control. Another child had a bad rash today and so I was worrying about that with the pregnancy too. I just can't relax and then I worry about my worrying harming the baby🙈🙈🙈

After all my vomiting over the last couple of days, I've been diagnosed with hyperemesis :( I'm feeling so exhausted, worried and also just wish I could enjoy some little part of being pregnant. As you all appreciate, being pregnant after mc is anxiety inducing enough and now to deal with this on top, I feel so sad.
I've been reassured there's no harm to the baby but I can't help but worry when I can't keep any food or water down

@Sakura54 honestly can't wait for another little boy! 😍 defo my own little team haha! Yeah I can imagine it'll take some getting use to, but will be so nice for you to have a girl!
Least they're monitoring you well, that's good!

@SkyBlue20 I know!! The women zoomed in so close to check his lips, and his nose/mouth looks exactly like my other 2 boys. So cute!! 💗 I've actually got a lot of clothes already that I brought after my 16 week scan, and have put a deposit down on my pushchair today.. think it's just so overwhelming!! In regards to the magpie!! I know exactly how you're feeling, I have seen so so many of them: and I actually had a dead magpie in my garden over the weekend! So thought it was a sign. 🤦🏻‍♀️ but luckily it was just me feeling paranoid!

@DanceM1 hopefully they test negative! Nothing more worrying! Especially when you rely so much on the scan to help reassure you! Try not to worry 💗

@dancem1 I know what you mean. We can have weekly test at work and I said yesterdAy I don't want one coz knowing my luck I'll be positive and I'll miss my scan 🙈🙈

So tired today I just lounged on the sofa for about 2 hours 😩😩

@Workingmama1 so sorry you have bled again, you are so patient I think I’d be ringing every private place to get an emergency scan so my DH could come with. The cervix sounds good though so I think it sounds like the haematoma again. Was it a big bleed?

@DanceM1 ah no we have had 9 cases at our school! I wear full on ppe now. None in our bubble yet. But scary to know it’s in the building. Have you been given the option to work from home after 28 weeks? Hopefully the child is negative 🤞🏻

My baby grow has arrived guys so I’m doing the reveal photo tonight I will post when it’s done 😊

Got my voucher for my flu jab too so I will go get that done this weekend xx

@bubblybon20 @ew1990 thank you.. just don't need any more stress do we when we worry so much anyway! Ill just have to hope for the best. I know its out of my hands but I think that makes it worse!

@Pugprincess that sounds scary! We haven't had a positive case yet but it will be sods law that this is our first! I now wear a visor and gloves whenever I move round the classroom but I'm going to add a mask as well I think.

I’m still unsure whether to announce it on social media or not, I’ve now told my two close friends and they was ecstatic bless them they thought I was but didn’t think I’d be 14 and half weeks 😅 apparently my boobs are massive 🤣🤣 it feels so nice to share peoples excitement. I keep telling myself that it’s okay to be excited! Xx

I'm struggling. I just received two parcels - one from my mum and one from my cousin - with the most beautiful gifts for baby, this morning I got a card from my dad and his wife saying congratulations on our baby girl and on Sunday we got (pink) flowers, chocolates and (pink) alcohol-free Prosecco to celebrate from my MIL, it's all so lovely and I'm so overwhelmed with how nice everyone is, but I'm struggling. The anxiety is overwhelming me - it feels too early to celebrate so much, it feels too precarious, I keep thinking 'but what if' and I know I shouldn't be feeling like that and I KNOW the odds are in our favour but something about today has just overwhelmed me. We've bought and received a couple of other bits of clothes for baby but I don't know, this just feels a lot. I can't really articulate it but I thought if anyone would understand, it would be you ladies.
Need to finish this bit of work then do some yoga and get out of my own head I think but first, I'm going to catch up.
And breathe...

I must expand on my post - I am obviously so grateful for all of the gifts and celebrations and am SO overwhelmed by how absolutely lovely people are being, I really don't want it to come across as ungrateful at all, it's so, so kind and we feel so loved. It's just my own anxieties getting to me, nothing more than that.

@skyblue20 it's totally justified for you to feel like that. I bought a pack of newborn nappies today and have hid them now and wish I wouldnt have bought them in case its all gone wrong at my scan next week.

You can vent here as much as you need too! We won't judge. I still can't see myself with another baby. It's unfair how our previous experience has made us feel like this. I was never like this with DD. I went and bought her pram the day after my 12 week scan.

Scan went amazing, I'm measuring 12 weeks 2 days so due the 25th of April. We have told our girls and all our family. Everyone was so happy for us. There's been a few years today. Next scan is booked for the 11th of December ❤️

9h @skyBlue20 that's so completely understandable. My MIL wants to buy baby things but my husband has told her I'm not ready for any of that. Its lovely that they are so excited for you but I can understand you feeling overwhelmed and going into a bit of a panic! I do that just when I feel like ive talked about it too much.. as if I'm taking it for granted. Its because of what we have been through. You don't need to worry here.. we all know you will appreciate what people are doing for you but totally 'get it' too!
