I’ve been shattered all weekend & woke at 3am feeling sick & feel really sick again now, so hoping that’s my symptoms finally happening (think I’m 6+2).

@Pugprincess love the cardy, SO CUTE! My beloved Grandma died 7 years ago & DD is 3 so never any chance of getting anything knitted from her. But my parents neighbours daughter gave me back a newborn cardy my Grandma had knitted for her 12 years ago, she kept it in her loft knowing she’d pass it back to me one day (how sweet, we’re not even in touch anymore). So DD came home from hospital in it 💙

Good luck for your scan today, and @SmileyT - and anyone else I may have missed!

JoJo58995 · 12/10/2020 07:24

@Pugprincess mine changes on a daily basis, I'll think about eating something I usually love then suddenly it will make me feel sick. I've been craving takeaway curry all the time, even for breakfast 🤣 I feel like I just want to drink fruit juice by the litre (which I'm trying not to to avoid giving me diabetes) I'll be at work and suddenly feel like I must have a bag of prawn cocktail crisps....🤦‍♀️ garlic is a funny one, with you mentioning the chicken and garlic pizza....I made one of my favourite meals last night and must have been a tad too much garlic in it...now it's on the 🤢 list!

JoJo58995 · 12/10/2020 07:26

@Simmy20 I'm sorry you've got more worry waiting now. Fingers crossed they can tell you something soon, and desperately hoping everything is ok for you 💕

Simmy20 · 12/10/2020 07:36

@Starfish762 not sure yet. Will need to speak to Dr and see what she recommends. Because of heavy bleeding with clots at 4 weeks my dr wanted me to get the early scan. Last time I had an early scan at 6+5 and could see a heartbeat but then lost it at 7 weeks (maybe 7+4?) and found out when I had my 8 week scan. I was really hoping to see something today. I guess given the heavy bleeding it's good to even see a sac. But I did bleed again on Saturday night so can't help but think it's bad news. Not sure if I would still have a sac though or not if I've bled.

Thanks @JoJo58995 the waiting really does give you time to get in your own head. It's horrible

Pugprincess · 12/10/2020 07:43

@Simmy20 aw could they not see where the bloods coming from? And if the cervix is closed? I went for an early scan when I thought I was 6 weeks 4 days I think but they said no your 5+6 but they said it’s too hard to be accurate when so small. Last scan it had caught back up so my original guess was right I think 💭 fingers crossed it all settles down and turns out good for you both 🤞🏻

@SmileyT aw good luck today for your scan. I know @Lollol86 is tomorrow. Not sure if there’s anyone I’ve missed? Xx

Sophmoph93 · 12/10/2020 07:58

Thank you for the message back :)
Yes I did a pregnant test a week later and it was negative. I will do one this morning? Is that too soon to do one?

Simmy20 · 12/10/2020 08:12

@Pugprincess she didn't say anything about where bleed was coming from or if cervix was closed. I didn't even think to ask. That's good to know you measured that far behind and it was ok and caught up

RosieJess91 · 12/10/2020 08:20

@Simmy20 when I had my 12 week scan, i was supposed to be 13 weeks, and they measured at 13+6, so it is completely possible to be out by that far. Miscarriage messes up your cycles quite a lot. So even if you're used to being very regular, it is still possible you were out that one month. Hope it's a sticky one!!

Poppy10121 · 12/10/2020 09:09

@Simmy20 fingers crossed for you, as others have said it’s very possible to be measuring out by days when everything is so small, and especially after MC when cycles are erratic. Thinking of you xx

@Pugprincess good luck for scan! The food aversions thing is weird isn’t it! I went off a lot of faves. Since about 14 weeks I’ve been feeling much less nauseous but when I ate a result garlicky pasta it gave me the most awful indigestion so that’s out now!

Starfish762 · 12/10/2020 10:26

@Simmy20 hope you don’t have to wait too long to see doctor & they can do your bloods quickly, and then another scan in due course. Everything crossed for you ❤️

MrsK21 · 12/10/2020 11:10

Good luck to those having scans today! And love the little knitted cardi @Pugprincess

I've been feeling soo rough (5+6 today). Had an awful night of indigestion and severe constipation which as a result of straining, I got some brownish discharge. There doesn't seem to be anymore coming out. But got a little tinge of it when I wipe. I hope this is just old blood that's been pushed out?
I've got an early scan booked at 8+4 which suddenly feels really far away.
@Pugprincess I think the look of it is similar to what you had in the early days. Hoping it's nothing and it buggers off soon! X

Threnody · 12/10/2020 11:24

@Simmy20 sorry your scan wasn't reassuring, hope you get to see a dr soon and get bloods sorted, and the next scan is more positive. As others have said, miscarriage can mess your cycles up, so you could be out by a few days. Keeping everything crossed.

@Sophmoph93 Good luck with your test.

Good luck to everyone having scans.

I am another non-ironer here - I don't even have time to do the rest of the housework, definitely no time to faff about ironing things.
I've had some food aversions too - I've gone off marmite, and garlic, and fruit juice. I don't remember really having any with my previous pregnancies.
Still getting cramps and aches and pains, and worrying a lot, and wishing I'd written down more of what I experienced in my previous pregnancies, cos I don't remember it being like this, but it may have been.

ew1990 · 12/10/2020 11:44

@simmy20 hopefully you get another scan. My first one they could only see a sac and said I was 5ish weeks. 10 days later there was a heartbeat and measured 6+5.

Sorry not caught up on all the posts yet. So tired with being in work. Had a phone consultation this morning with the doctor about my hip. He said to buy a heat run and try that and if it doesn't work then to ring back and he will refer me for physio.

Hope your all doing ok. Good luck for the upcoming scans. Mines 8 days away now

MSG92 · 12/10/2020 11:50

Hi all, sorry, I know I'm not part of this thread, should have been as I was pregnant with my 1st in July but had a CP and haven't had any luck since :( feeling very low about it now as I have been tracking ovulation so don't know why it hasn't worked again...so desperate for a baby. I was really relaxed this cycle, didn't test early etc but still nothing. Anyone got any tips? Was it just luck for all of you?

SmileyT · 12/10/2020 12:11

@JoJo58995 I'm glad scan went well, honestly I'm on private scan number 5... if itv makes us feel better there really is no harm in it. Also yes to the HiDaddy app DP loves telling me what's going on with little one x

@RosieJess91 I'm with your mum on the he hairdryer if you need something to look a bit neater... I don't even think we have an iron 😂

@Sophmoph93 how did you get on with your test? x

@Pugprincess you're scan is just after mine I'll be thinking of you, but sure all will be well after your recent scan xx

@Simmy20 as others have said... dating isn't an exact science, it will likely shift at every scan a bit as not every baby grows at the same rate or they'd all come out the same weight and height. How did it go talking to Dr?

@MrsK21 really feel for you, but definitely take it as a good sign that all the symptoms are there and hormones are still raging around your body x

Thanks for the well wishes on my scan, for the first time I'm actually not feeling sick ahead of it but we shall see what happens ❤️

Simmy20 · 12/10/2020 12:28

Thanks everyone for your positive thoughts. The scan was just with a radiologist so didn't get too much. My dr will get results back tomorrow so I suspect I'll end up with a phone consultation on Wednesday with her and then I will take her advise on what she says.

@MSG92 i know it feels like ages but it hasn't been too long in reality. Some of the women here got pregnant straight away some had to wait. For me personally, I had my mc in February and didn't get pregnant again until September. It felt like forever but my dr assured me it was actually good. Unfortunately it's just one of those things you can't control. I recommend you join a ttc group so you have people in the same situation as you to talk to x

Good luck ladies who have scans this week

SkyBlue20 · 12/10/2020 12:37

Afternoon all!

@Pugprincess What lovely gifts from your DH’s grandma 🥰 None of mine or DH’s grandparents are with us anymore but my mum’s neighbour (who I’ve never actually met but feel like I know!) has knitted us a lovely little white cardi and apparently is working on some colourful ones now she knows the sex, too. So sweet! 💕 It’s absolutely ok to get emotional, just get it all out – you’re allowed.

@SmileyT He hasn’t got HiDaddy, no – he just assumed it would say the same things as HiMommy says so said what’s the point as I tell him everything anyway but I’ll defs recommend it to him now! Happy 18 weeks today!

@SmilingDonkey How lovely that your friend is pregnant – so nice to get to share that.

@JoJo58995 Glad the scan went well – am absolutely an advocate of getting a scan if it’ll help, it’s not worth being so anxious about it if you can do something about it. All being well after 10 weeks is great – the odds then of everything being ok aren’t dissimilar to after 12 weeks I believe!

@Workingmama1 @SmilingDonkey Glad is all going well with your DDs and their sleep routines!

@Simmy20 So sorry that you don’t have any clear answers yet, it must be so hard. Sending you lots of strength. Xx

@Starfish762 How lovely of your neighbour’s daughter to keep and pass on the cardi to you, that’s so sweet!

@Ew1990 Glad you got to speak to your doc about your hip. Hope what he suggested helps.

@Mrsg92 So sorry for your loss. For me it was just luck, yes, however I’d say just keep tracking your ovulation to make sure you’re DTD at the right times as it can be a bit all over the place after MC. Good luck with it, hope you get your rainbow soon xx

I’m 18+2 today and SO hungry all of the time and also feeling really nauseous again, assuming some more big growth is going on 🤞🏼 Got my 20 week scan two weeks tomorrow so already counting down to that despite having had a scan on Fri! If that goes well then I’m going to tell my young siblings about the baby, start making plans with my business partner for my mat leave (we need to recruit, which will take time) and start looking in to things like prams etc ahead of buying on Black Fri, I think it might make it all feel very real! Ideally, I’d leave it all until baby is here and I know they’re ok but obviously that isn’t very practical!

Good luck with the scans today! xx

RosieJess91 · 12/10/2020 14:37

@msg92 I fell pregnant within weeks of my MMC and that turned into a CP. I then fell pregnant again a month later and it's stuck. For me, July was the month I had decided to take off, said we would stop trying, give my body time to recover, but I fell pregnant anyway! Funny how it works out sometimes!
@SmileyT I'd never even thought about using a hair dryer, will have to let my mum know she's not alone. How funny 😂

SkyBlue20 · 12/10/2020 15:47

@Workingmama1 Bolton has announced partners can go to 12 and 20 week scans again! 🥳 I’ll believe it when I see it after it getting cancelled the night before last time but 🤞🏼

Pugprincess · 12/10/2020 16:30

Hi everyone! All is goooood. Baby was soooo naughty though. Had to go for a walk and shake and all sorts lol just wasn’t turning around but absolutely no problem bouncing around 😂😂 I’m measuring 13+2 so Saturday is my new weekly milestone so then I will be 14 weeks. Just waiting on this baby grow to arrive now so I can do the proper reveal photo! My scan isn’t the clearest due to a naughty kangaroo baby 😅

Just had some more light brown myself @MrsK21, don't know if it’s from dtd last night 🙈 first time in ages as we are scared too after the mc and bleeds etc.

@MSG92 hi sorry for your loss, we tried for five years and then finally got pregnant naturally and lost it at 8 weeks, luckily I fell again right away no period. I don’t think I’d have coped after waiting 5 years if it hadn’t have happened straight away.

@Poppy10121 yes at the moment I feel like I never want to eat some things ever again 😅😂

I’m getting so breathless 😅🙈 I feel so unfit lol.

@MSG92 this is the ttc after mc thread I was on actively when miscarrying and trying. It’s really good

Workingmama1 · 12/10/2020 16:47

@SkyBlue20 literally just came on to say the same thing to you! Hopefully unless they move Bolton to tier 3 it will stay like that. I've still got 5.5 weeks until mine so god knows what it will be by then.

@pugprincess glad scan went well, I knew it would for you 😊

I freaked out a bit about my discharge and pain when weeing so rang Dr this morning. Have had to do another urine sample and self swab to check for uti and infections. Bit worried about the urine sample as a spilt half the power in the tube thats meant to stabilise your wee so hoping its still OK when it gets to the lab! They also didnt give me one to do a dip test despite me checking with the dr (a trainee) and the receptionist who gave me the sample pots so I'll have to wait until Wednesday when the results are back fromthe lab...

Lollol86 · 12/10/2020 16:57

@Pugprincess off I'm so happy for you. You are now in the 2nd trimester what a relief. You've jumped ahead then haven't you? When's your due date now? Xx

Smilingdonkey · 12/10/2020 17:12

@simmy20 I'm sorry you have a the worry. Thinking of you xx
@starfish - how lovely about the cardi - I'd love to have something my Granny made 🥰
@MSG92 are you temping? I used natural cycles both months I got pregnant this time - well worth the few ££ s xxxx
@skyblue20 I felt awful last week at 18w too - I think people were right and the growth spurt is hardcore that week! .
@pugprincess congrats!! What a lovely picture ❤️

Starfish762 · 12/10/2020 17:16

@Pugprincess yey congratulations! Little dancer you’ve got yourself ❤️

We haven’t DTD since finding out we’re pregnant & after the bleeding EPU said not to for 2 weeks, if no more bleeding after we can - but I’m so paranoid I’d rather not (despite the urge 😂). Anyone else refrained until after 12w scan?
