I just started to bleed red again. I don't think we will get a positive scan on Monday 😪

MrsK21 · 10/10/2020 10:19

@Starfish762 I'm glad you feel a bit more reassured, it really could be nothing and pleased to hear it's stopped now too

@ew1990 really hope the pain subsides soon. Sounds like a lovely evening in, I watched haunting of hill house and pretty sure I didn't sleep for about 2 weeks, you are brave!

@SkyBlue20 amazing on your scan and congrats on a girl!!!

@Pugprincess oh sorry to hear your wrist is hurting now, I think joints relax during pregnancy so maybe somethings pulled while trying to Fend off the dog! Oh heartburn is the worst! I had it last week and genuinely woke up thinking my stomach was on fire. Gp advised me to take a dose of gaviscon after each meal x

I'm 5+4 today and morning sickness seems to have progressed from nausea when I wake, to full blown random throwing up and nausea throughout the day. It's making me feel quite poorly but taking it a sign that things are going ok for now 🤞🏽 also hoping to book the early scan for the 31st today and sort midwife registration out! X

MrsK21 · 10/10/2020 10:20

@Simmy20 I'm so sorry to hear the bleeding is back! It honestly could be nothing, there's lots of ladies on here said they had the same. I know it's so hard when you're experiencing it but please try and stay positive, sending you a hug xxx

Simmy20 · 10/10/2020 10:25

Thanks @MrsK21 I was feeling ok when it was on and off brown spotting since my hcg levels were going up after the initial heavy red bleeding. But now that red bleeding is back I'm really concerned. Luckily we already have the scan on Monday so at least we will know

RosieJess91 · 10/10/2020 10:31

So today is the day my baby was due. Trying to keep busy and ignore the date as much as possible. Been feeling sick since the moment I woke up, not sure if it's morning sickness coming back to haunt me, or just because of today.
The OH had an argument with his dad last night, because his dad called me lazy. OH went mad, told him that he had no idea how I'd been feeling the last few weeks, that I was back to being ill, and waddling like a duck because my pelvis is killing me slowly... said he should mind his own business and just because he treats his own wife like a slave, doesn't mean he has to as well.
Was quite grateful. Didn't realise he'd noticed how terrible I was feeling, so made me feel a bit better.

Poppy10121 · 10/10/2020 10:46

@Simmy20 so sorry to hear the bleeding is back, I know how worrying it is. Fingers crossed for Monday for you x

@DanceM1 how exciting to feel movements! 💕

@RosieJess91 thinking of you today, take it easy and hope that everyone is gentle with you today!

SkyBlue20 · 10/10/2020 11:02

Morning all!

@Poppy10121 Thinking of you today 💕 I felt sick all morning yesterday, too - probably a combination of the day and the hormones. Glad your DH fought your corner for you, how DARE his dad call you lazy?!!
Alas, I didn’t get back to sleep and have just been on the couch watching telly since 5:45am. I’ve also had two breakfasts and now need to get moving and get ready to meet friends for lunch 🙈 We’re meeting two of DH’s best friends and their partners - one couple has just got engaged and the other is also pregnant (also with a girl) so celebrations all around! The pregnant couple are due in December but we’ve not seen them since before they were pregnant, which is crazy, so much to catch up on!

@DanceM1 Could well be them! I’m pretty sure the sonographer yesterday said that with an anterior placenta they anticipate you’ll usually start feeling movements anywhere from 18-22 weeks, so it’s within that range! Exciting!

@Simmy20 Sending so much love and strength 💕

Thanks everyone for your well wishes 🥰

I put a post on Facebook today about our MMC - it seemed a fitting time with the due date and start of Baby Loss Awareness Week both being yesterday. DH and I wanted to be really open about it as we found it’s all so hidden in secrecy and in the half hour since I uploaded it, there’s been £50 donated to the Miscarriage Association (some from my ex-boyfriend from 15 years ago’s mum - yes, we’re still FB friends, she’s lovely!) and someone has shares her story with me about her MC. It’s really quite humbling 💕 Was so nervous to share and still am but that’s made it easier.

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend planned? Xx

DanceM1 · 10/10/2020 11:20

Ah that's interesting @skyblue20 I'm now having a little worry because I have a dull ache really low down right in the centre today with the odd sharp pain. I dont mind the stabbing pains as have had them all the way through on and off but the ache/almost crampy feeling is worrying me. Im getting anxious leading up to my 20 week scan on Thursday 😫 That's nice you shared about your MC... I think it is definitely good to be open about these things!

@rosieJess91 sounds like your FIL needed telling! Why would you even say that even if it was true?!🤣 keep those thoughts to yourself! Obviously I know its not true!! Glad your husband defended you so well x

RosieJess91 · 10/10/2020 12:12

@DanceM1 don't get me wrong, I have been the last couple of weeks because I've just felt really useless, but my OH knows that, and he's just been sending me off to bed whenever possible. My FIL really only said all of that because I never make him tea when he comes over, never had to, his wife always just picks up the kettle and does it herself the moment they step through the door. And something about not ironing. We have a decent iron, I use it when we need to. I was brought up in a household where my parents avoided ironing unless necessary, they used to let everything hang up and let the creases drop out. That's the way I was taught, use less electric and suffer no burns. (One time my dad had the iron out when my sister was younger, she ended up with a horrific burn on her arm, still has the scar now!)
He's just horrible, doesn't do a thing at his own home, his wife does everything. Never seen him lift a finger.
Me and my OH have a balance, we both do different jobs, I hate hoovering, he loves it, he hates the washing, so I do it. Every other job we just meet in the middle. That's what I was always taught was normal. Partners work together.
The fact that he chose last night to have a moan at me when I was feeling so rubbish, certainly didn't help. Feel crap today.
Need to get up and tidy because the Landlord is popping over with a new contract, but can't because it hurts. And my OH is at work. Joy.

DanceM1 · 10/10/2020 12:21

@rosieJess91 it sounds like we very much share the views on these things!! My house has always been an iron when you need to kinda house. And we share jobs too.. id never dream of doing it all. Try to ignore him.. sounds like he is very much stuck in his ways. Sorry you're feeling so rubbish! Hope you feel better soon. Sure your landlord can cope with the place not being immaculate!

Sakura54 · 10/10/2020 12:45

Congrats @SkyBlue20 join the girl club, wahey! Lol.

That sounds horrible. How can they say it’s not pregnancy related!? Maybe the GP can give you a sick note @ew1990

@Starfish762 Glad EPU reassured you. It’s odd how most of us had bleeding. I never bled a drop with DS or MMC so it was a shock.

Oh no, hoping it doesn’t mean anything @Simmy20

@Workingmama1 I’m still getting that snotty CM too with a tinge of green, yuk, but the doctor saw it, said it looked fine and took a swab just in case.

Aw..bless, thanks for the concern @Pugprincess Yeah, I didn’t get home until 10pm. The start was pretty bad but afterwards I was more bored than in pain and was just walking around casually looking like I didn’t belong there lol. I was in the actual maternity area (you have to go there for emergencies when you’re past 18w) so there was a lot of very pregnant women sitting around, heard some screaming and even saw two newborns leave.

Most of us here got pregnant again on the first try or not long after but it’s more amazing that it happened for you so quickly. Good luck for Monday, you'll be fine!

So all these weeks, pains have been mild but now they are getting ridiculous. After those painful contractions, I had bad indigestion that mixed with gas and diarrhoea pains, so out came the Gaviscon for the first time this pregnancy. Then yesterday, got strong I think round ligament pain to add to it. Like crampy and stabbing pain on one side, so maybe similar to you? @DanceM1 and we are both around 19w.

An urgent transvaginal scan has been booked for Tuesday to look at my dodgy womb. I’ve had enough of those recently (3!) and the last one was painful, but I will mention all these mixed together pains. I think it’s all normal though and gets worse when I eat.

Pugprincess · 10/10/2020 12:48

@RosieJess91 I’m the same as you too! In fact I chose a pair of trousers this morn from wardrobe that had got creased and put them back as I cba to get the iron out 😅😅😅 we roll stuff and hang stuff and like you say if it desperately needs ironing then it gets done right before I put it on (il be honest I have things I like but haven’t worn in ages because I just cba 😂) me and hubby share the duties too. It’s just called modern life 😁 clearly he’s in the dark ages still lol and good on your hubby for speaking up and having your back x

@Simmy20 sorry to hear it’s started again. How’s the pain though? X

@SkyBlue20 Good on you for speaking out and spreading awareness ❤️ I felt like it helped my grieving too. X

Pugprincess · 10/10/2020 12:54

Think I’m getting some specks of brown discharge now. Not sure if I need that injection with my weird blood 😩

Pugprincess · 10/10/2020 13:22

Rang epu and they said they won’t need to do anything unless it’s fresh red and quite a lot so not to worry at this stage

Simmy20 · 10/10/2020 14:02

Thanks everyone

@Pugprincess no pain at all. Just bright red. It's going darker now and seems to be getting lighter.

RosieJess91 · 10/10/2020 16:01

Glad I'm not alone with the ironing thing!!
I've just managed to clean the whole house, and now I'm stuck at the top of the stairs. My pelvis hurts so much I'm really struggling to move. I think I may need to speak to my midwife ASAP about possible PGP, didn't suffer at all with my DS, but for the last 2 week's it's got worse and worse. So uncomfortable, sometimes the pain is so much that if I'm standing I feel a bit dizzy. Rubbish 😔

Starfish762 · 10/10/2020 16:16

@Simmy20 bless you, such a worry. The fact it’s easing off can only be a good thing, and no pains. Hopefully Monday comes round quickly & your mind can be put at rest. Will be thinking of you xx

@SkyBlue20 that’s lovely you shared a post & got some responses, and such a generous donation too! I’m definitely going to post my candle for wave of light on Thursday, I think many friends will be shocked (only the closest ones know), but that’s the whole point - we never know what anyone’s going through or has been through. Always be kind. We live in an age where the internet can be a scary place, but it’s also amazing for support (like this amazing group), and for raising awareness.

@RosieJess91 wow I bet your OH was fuming! Good on him for sticking up for you. Your FIL is def in the minority now, most couples split the childcare & chores - THANK GOD 😂 I have a friend whose a FTM & chores are still split with her husband, her job is bringing up 2 children not doing absolutely everything at home too! I agree on the iron only if you need to, I purposely buy things I know won’t crease in the wash - aint nobody got time for that 😂

Starfish762 · 10/10/2020 16:17

@RosieJess91 definitely speak to MW for support, you can’t rest when you have a child so you need some support. I think once you’ve had a baby the position of the pelvis can change permanently, so could explain how you didn’t have it last time but have now. Bless you 😫

Smilingdonkey · 10/10/2020 16:37

Aggh I have so much to catch up on! Life is so manic! Will have a good reading session when my DD is in bed!

How are you all?
Any more 20w scans?
Mine is on Wednesday ... So nervous. I think I might be feeling it move a bit now ... I'm too anxious to believe it though. Anyone else still feeling terrified at nearly half way through?
I bought the baby a hat to try and bond with it / think positively but I don't feel any different 😫
Xxxx

RosieJess91 · 10/10/2020 16:37

@starfish762 I do the same thing! And if they do have creases, I wear it and just say they'll drop out over the day! Only iron for interviews, weddings and funerals!
That might explain it, pelvis pain sucks!
Either way, landlord popped over, he's happy, and the rent is staying super low! Phew! It might have been worth it!

bubblybon20 · 10/10/2020 19:02

@Smilingdonkey crazy how much there is to catch up on now! 🤣
I am 20 weeks today! And movements so so much, but still struggling to believe it's been 20 weeks 😱 I have my 20 week scan on Tuesday! What time is yours on Wednesday? X

Lrr31 · 10/10/2020 19:23

Hey @Simmy20 - sorry to hear about the bleeding, but it doesn’t mean it’s all over, I promise. I had a bleed at 11 weeks and because of last miscarriage I just thought it’s all over again. Couldn’t get scan at EPU so had to wait until 12 scan, longest wait ever, but everything was fine. They couldn’t see anything on scan so I think it’s a cervix thing, it still happens when I am constipated/straining (tmi). Just because you’ve experienced it before, bleeding doesn’t mean it’s the same thing again, each pregnancy is different. Try and keep the faith, pet, much love.

It’s also previous due date coming up, lovely that you’re raising money @SkyBlue20, lovely idea. I feel oddly numb about the date next week, I don’t know whether it’s because I’m so focused on this pregnancy or I cried all the tears I could back in March. Could all hit me next week I suppose.

So much to read every time I come on this post, sorry if missed something important

Smilingdonkey · 10/10/2020 20:06

@bubblybon20 14:40! How about you? I I am quite pleased as it's my DDs second birthday and it means I get to leave work early and we can spend a bit more time with her that day 😊 Shame I can't celebrate with some wine!
I can't remember sorry - do you know the gender? Are you going to find out?

Have you felt movement yet? Xx

bubblybon20 · 10/10/2020 21:25

@Smilingdonkey mines at 11:10, but they always run about an hour late 🤣 ah that works out well for you then, and will defo help make your morning go faster!
I had a gender scan at 16 weeks, I'm having a boy💙 are you going to be finding out? Or keeping it a surprise?

And yeah, I've felt movement since 17/18week! But getting so much stronger ones now! Have you had any movement yet? Makes it so surreal having movements!xx

Simmy20 · 10/10/2020 21:33

@Lrr31 that's reassuring to know. I didn't have bleed with my mc but at 4 weeks I had heavy bleeding with clots for 4 days. I cried a lot and thought it was all over but my hcg levels have been rising. But now it's bleeding again. It's turned to just dark brown spotting overnight. Waiting until your 12 week scan would have been the longest wait. Just 2 days is going to kill me - lucky I've got things to keep me busy. I've got a baby shower today for my SIL and another friend (it's a really low key thing as it's not the first for either of them). All the girls going know about the mc but only 1 of them knows I'm pregnant again. On Monday I've got interviews as I'm recruiting a new staff member in my team so hopefully the morning will go quickly before the scan. I've got another interview on Tuesday morning though so hopefully everything is ok with scan otherwise I dunno how I'm going to get through that. HR does know about my mc and that I'm pregnant again though and they've been really good about it
