@SkyBlue20 we knew about it on 31st March, which is oddly my new due date. That's when I had my 12 week scan and was told it was just an empty sac. But the actual miscarriage happened naturally on the 6th April, which was my original due date before my scan.
All very strange!
Yeah, the beginning of 2020 was horrendous. Quite glad it's nearly over!!

Sakura54 · 08/10/2020 14:57

Here’s my scan pic. She printed out like 10, maybe because I wasn’t in a good way lol.

Thank you all. I thought I was in trouble due to the painful contractions. First I was thinking maybe it’s just another one of my many random aches and that I just needed to go to the loo, but it got worse and so tight. Wasn’t worried about the nearly fainting as it’s somewhat normal for me to feel faint when I get super bad period pains.

@Threnody @Starfish762 They did have me down as high-risk at first. Don’t know if you remember my huge list of pregnancy issues that I showed you on the other thread? Lol but the consultant didn’t see a problem as it was all minor stuff that she didn’t think would happen again and @bubblybon20 I know my septate womb is mild that’s why I have to tell sonographers before each scan or they won’t notice. I did want extra monitoring off course, but thought I’d have to wait for my second GTT this pregnancy, where I’m pretty sure I’m going to get diagnosed with GD again.

@SkyBlue20 Yes, even though it was an emergency scan and I had pains, she checked everything. I had to lie on my side for ages at one point. I’m ok now, thanks. Just have bloating pains as I went for very long without eating yesterday until DH and DSis came to bring me food, but by then the doctor called me in so I ate in the car afterwards lol while waiting for DBro to come to our rescue and that's why the bloat started.

@Threnody thanks for the bra site recommendation, I'll definitely check it out. I've just been living in crop tops for now 🙈
And congrats on ths 3+!
I might be bonkers but I've not doing anymore tests since the 2 I did when I got my bfp!! Feel like im missing out now!

@Starfish762 I've got some cramps too but they feel more like stretching? It's possibly just things expanding and making room :) amazing you've got your scan sorted too

@Sakura54 what an eventful day! Glad you'll have more monitoring and yay to a girl! Lovely scan pic too

@Workingmama1 oh the lockdown baby comments I find annoying! Our first pregnancy was just before lockdown and when we'd told people they automatically assumed it wasn't planned and happened because of lockdown. Just not caring about any comments that come this time round! X

Poppy10121 · 08/10/2020 16:18

@Coffee4me welcome and congratulations Smile I have been on Progesterone so far through this pregnancy (currently 14+5). I will be taking it until 16 weeks. I've found it OK, and reassuring to be doing something but I'm quite looking forward to stopping it, too! I freaked out when I ran out at 12 weeks and thought I would have to stop before my first scan, but I am feeling OK about stopping at 16 weeks now I have seen the placenta. Are you on the 400mg pessaries?

@Sakura54 What a day you had! It sounds exhausting and stressful, so glad it all turned out OK! And a girl, so exciting!

@Workingmama1 When are you planning to start telling colleagues? I am freaking out about it. I've not told anyone yet but I think they will start to notice soon - my baggy tops only hide so much!

Been feeling anxious again this week, especially at the thought of waiting another 6 weeks to see the baby in a scan again. I'm considering booking another private scan in between even though husband thinks that's ridiculous. He also wants to tell some friends etc but I still feel nervy about it. I really thought I would be over it once we got past 12 weeks but I'm resigning myself to be anxious forever now.

Coffee4me · 08/10/2020 16:29

@Poppy10121 yes 400mg I'm going to pick them up after work now. Did you have any side effects (I should stay off google!)? I've been prescribed 7 weeks so for up to 12 weeks for me. It's good to try something as you say 👌

Lu93 · 08/10/2020 16:30

@Sakura54 gosh I’m so glad everything’s okay I bet that was so scary, but glad you’re now getting extra monitoring and lovely scan picture!

I’m also waiting for the lockdown comments and I’m pretty sure depending what way out I am I’ll tell them that I actually had a miscarriage in lockdown... just so they may think next time, maybe a little harsh but some of my clients are so careless with their comments and I’m not really sure why some women say things with our thinking maybe I’m sensitive because it was let all as plain sailing for some...

@RosieJess91 we was the same my original due date was the 14th April which ended up being the date I went in for a d&c very strange indeed!

ew1990 · 08/10/2020 16:49

@sakura OMG what a day. Yayyy a girl! I've a feeling I'm having another girl. I used to faint a lot with DD it's scary the first time it happens.

I thought I would get the lockdown baby comments but non so far!

Tried to ring the community midwife but can't get through. I'm going to have to try again tomorrow

SkyBlue20 · 08/10/2020 18:00

@RosieJess91 I love when dates align like that, there's something really nice about it. Baby is due 13 days before the one year anniversary of us finding out about the MMC and I love the idea that if they're late, they could be born then or that on that horrible date, I'll have a newborn in my arms.

@Sakura54 Wow, what a clear scan - is that its spine I can see?! Glad you're doing ok today, must have been a shock of a day but glad that ultimately all ended ok 💕

@MrsK21 I only did two tests, too - one when we found out and one two or three days later just to check line progression (I was convinced I was going to have a chemical). I knew I'd just get obsessed and stressed out if I did any more!

@Poppy10121 If a private scan would help then I'd definitely book one (and have, in fact). It is a long time between scans!

I know I keep going on about potential movements (sorry!) but in the last hour I've had three could be movements - they almost feel like a pain that isn't painful, if that makes sense? Like a really light dull ache or a light period pain but in a one place rather than all over and quite fleeting. I had one down low on the right, about level with or just below my hip bone, then one diagonally up, closer to my belly button and then one just below that, too. It's really hard to explain. I just want to know if it is or not! I'm not overanalysing most stomach activity as I get a lot of gurgling with my intolerances but these were when nothing else was going on in there. Oooh there's another one, that felt like a Mexican wave in my tummy! REALLY hope it is but equally, not getting my hopes up! 😬

Poppy10121 · 08/10/2020 18:40

@Coffee4me I've not found them too bad! They do leak out a bit so I recommend using a pantyliner and lying down for a bit after putting them in at first. I do one just before bed, and then get up a bit early and do one then, get back in bed to lie down for half an hour after! I feel like they might have made my early symptoms stronger (tiredness, sore boobs etc) but it could just be that I had stronger symptoms this time! I haven't had any problems with thrush or UTIs which I worried about when I read other threads. Good luck!

Workingmama1 · 08/10/2020 18:49

Wow all this talk of dates and I've gone back and checked my calendar. I'm due the day after I was told there was no heartbeat, and my 20 week scan will be very close to my due date....

@SkyBlue20 yes I think the lockdown comments will annoy me. So far we've only told people who know I had a miscarriage so we've not had any. @Lu93 you could have a good approach, people really don't think about how hard some peoples journey to getting pregnant is.

@Poppy10121 I've told my manager and my team at work but not wider so the colleague today didn't know. He was so untactfull talking about another girl and how she must have had lots of time on her hands for lunchtime sex!

I still feel very anxious about this pregnancy, so dont think I'm ready to shout about it yet. I'm considering booking a private scan for around 16+4, to break up the six weeks to my 20 week scan. I'm trying to decide if javing a closer milestone to work towards would be helpful or if scanixity would make it worse! Really wish I had a 16 week midwife appointment to work towards!

DanceM1 · 08/10/2020 18:58

Hi ladies.. so sorry I'm struggling to keep up and remember what everyone has said!

To those who gave me advice about the back pain thank you. I had been sleeping with my pillow between my knees anyway but perhaps not consistently enough... the last few days it has been much better thank you!

@sakura54 that must have been so stressful for you! But so exciting about your little GIRL!! Really pleased all is OK.. i hope you enjoy sharing the news this weekend 💖

@SkyBlue20 I really hope your scan goes well tomorrow.. i am sure it will. Im already with you in the scanxiety and mine isn't for another week. Suddenly very nervous!

I've had really sharp stabbing pains all day today. Im really hoping it is just growing pains as my bump really seems to have grown throughout the day! Im also struggling with my hips. Im hypermobile so I think more prone to struggles during pregnancy but the last couple of days I've struggled just walking at times (well..the first step I take is very painful!) Again hoping this is just more signs of growing 🙏🤞

Can't wait to feel some movement!

DanceM1 · 08/10/2020 20:12

Sorry @sakura54 I got that wrong.. it was @starfish762 I meant to say I hope you enjoy sharing the news this weekend to... told you I'm rubbish at keeping up!!

DanceM1 · 08/10/2020 20:23

I've also just had a look back at all the talk of dates.. im due on the same date we found out i was pregnant last time!

Pugprincess · 08/10/2020 21:06

My lost baby was a ‘lockdown baby’, we had tried for 5 years and were ready to start treatment but with lockdown and being off work I must have ‘relaxed’ and it happened naturally. I don’t really consider this next one to be a lockdown baby really as lockdown has been going on so long now lol and not really proper lockdown anymore is it. Be interesting to tell our kids one day all about this pandemic x

Wow what a day you had @Sakura54 I must say I was trying to keep positive but was a bit concerned that you were so quiet yesterday, glad to hear all is well and congratulations for a baby girl 💗

Last two days my energy seems to be returning! I’m getting some sciatica type pains in my bum cheek though 😩 my scanxiety is going too for Monday.

@SkyBlue20 good luck for tomorrow ❤️

Poppy10121 · 08/10/2020 22:58

@Workingmama1 I’m also feeling really annoyed I don’t have a 16 week midwife appointment, it’s so weird how much it varies regionally, I’m envious of all the people who get a face to face appt!

Today I told one friend - I felt so anxious about it but actually it was nice to get excited with someone new. She knew about the miscarriage before and had guessed this time but didn’t say anything til I was ready which was nice. I think I’ll aim to tell work in the next week or two...

ew1990 · 08/10/2020 23:24

@pugprincess I'm gutted I didn't get a face to face one too as my trust listen to the babies heartbeat.

@skyblue20 good luck tomorrow.

So much movement this last half hour. Its keeping me awake 🙈🙈

ew1990 · 08/10/2020 23:25

Oh I meant @poppy10121 sorry

Poppy10121 · 09/10/2020 07:28

Does anyone else get insomnia? I can’t tell if I wake up because of the weird dreams, needing to pee, or something else but every day this week I am awake by 5.30 and struggle to get back to sleep again! 😤 so tired!!

SkyBlue20 · 09/10/2020 07:55

@Poppy10121 I get it a bit - I think I wake up as I’m so conscious of sleeping on my side! I woke up at 5:30 today though and haven’t been able to get back to sleep, I think it’s scan nerves 😫

Workingmama1 · 09/10/2020 08:49

Good luck for your scan today @skyblue20

@Poppy10121 I've been suffering with insomnia a bit, waking up and then struggling to get back to sleep.

@ew1990 annoying it's keeping you awake but lovely to be feeling movements!

I'm also still waking in the night to pee, thought that would have gone by now, 14 weeks today!

RosieJess91 · 09/10/2020 09:34

Good luck with your scan @skyblue20!

I've been told my 16 week appointment is face to face, same midwife as I had with the MMC, so that'll be interesting. I think mines on 23rd Oct. So not too long. However I'll be 17.3 weeks by then!

bubblybon20 · 09/10/2020 10:24

Good luck @SkyBlue20 💗

Poppy10121 · 09/10/2020 10:42

Good luck today @SkyBlue20 and I hope the due date that would’ve been isn’t too tough for you 💕

SkyBlue20 · 09/10/2020 11:05

Thanks everyone, setting off shortly. I feel sick with nerves 😫 Trying to think positively and think of it as exciting but we all know the anxiety that comes before a scan.

Lu93 · 09/10/2020 11:09

Good luck @SkyBlue20 💕 xx
