@JoJo58995 Thank you so much for the reassuring story, it really makes me feel much better to hear of other people not damaging the baby through electric shock! Actually a friend of mine had also shocked herself very badly while pregnant (she fell to the floor and fainted!) and was absolutely fine. The A&E doctor said it wouldn't be a problem at all as my own heartbeat was unaffected, so will just have to try and trust in what they say.

@DanceM1 My yoga teacher told me its important to sleep with a cushion/pillow between your knees to keep the hips level and avoid lower back pain. She said you could just use any old normal pillow or cushion for it, not a special thing.

@ew1990 and @Workingmama1 lovely bump pics! I tried to take a photo yesterday but definitely at the point where I just look like I ate too many cakes in lockdown.

I was feeling a lot more energised the last week but back in a tiredness slump this week and struggling to get out of bed. Also yet more weird dreams - last night dreamt that I had to ski home due to excessive snowfall shutting all roads (!) and was worried about falling and hurting the baby because I am so clumsy! I woke in a sweat!

@SkyBlue20 I don't have the blood test results back yet. I'm hoping tomorrow morning (in a different time zone here. It's nearly 8pm). It's been the longest day. I've had some brown spotting again yesterday and today but I figure with the heavy bleeding I've either lost the baby or some spotting isn't going to hurt after that so trying to stay positive

So I have an appt at 25w, yay. It must be a mistake as I’m not a FTM, but I’m not saying anything and hope they won’t cancel. This MW place is walking distance about 20 mins away so that’s convenient. I basically just had my 16w appt at 19w, probably because my consultant one was at 16w.

Scan time tomorrow! It’s a bit crazy that I’ve got this far and am nearly halfway through. I just hope there’s no issues.

Going to finally find out the sex and I’ll be like you @bubblybon20 thinking of what the heck to name the baby lol. It’s hard enough finding something you and DH both like, let alone trying to match other DC’s name.

@Pugprincess I have. My mum reckons I had a premature birth because something really bad happened to DH and I, something that could break a person, not that long before I had DS, but I really doubt it. Stress and anxiety is bad for the baby but I’m pretty sure it won’t cause MC easily, especially if it’s just a rare angry outburst/screaming fit. Its normal for hormones to cause us to be extra angry and imagine people who are pregnant and have other kids, even more reason to get stressed, mad and shout!

Welcome @Jazper milestones are a good idea. It deffo is a scary time, but you just have to go with the flow and before you know it, you’ll be in the second trimester! We understand how you feel.

@SkyBlue20 For the last week I’ve been getting all sorts of mild aches here and there, inside and out - stomach, back, butt. I don’t think it’s anything to worry about as things are getting pretty heavy in there. This is why I want to stay small again, as pregnancy is bad enough for me without a big bump lol.

5 weeks today! This milestone thing is definitely helpful, thanks ladies. I have backache, cramps, nausea, tiredness, and tingly boobs now. I got my urine test results on the app, positive for leukocytes and blood, so I guess it's good it was a uti, and the antibiotics seem to be working.

@Sakura54 how exciting that you're going to find out the sex tomorrow! We can't decide if we will or not - we did by accident with our first (boy), on purpose with our second (girl) and had a surprise with our third (though I was 90% sure he was a boy). Practically it would be useful as we could clear out some of the baby clothes (which have taken over our spare room), and get a head start on names.

@Simmy20 fingers crossed you get your results soon, and all is well.

@Lu93 oh gosh no, you don't want anyone staying for 2 weeks! You need time to bond as a family. We wouldn't let my parents visit for a week after we got home with our first (and they were champing at the bit), as he'd been in scbu for 11 days, and I wanted some time just us. My parents came to look after him when I went into hospital to have my daughter, and that was OK, but they wanted to stay longer and I had to have an awkward chat asking them to go home, so if you do have visitors I'd recommend arranging a definite leave date for them!

@Starfish762 hurrah for your 3+! Great your hcg levels are going up. 3+ is my next milestone.

@DanceM1 I have a wedge shaped pillow as well as a maternity pillow, that I stick between my knees, it's really comfy.

Is anyone struggling to stand in a shower? I feel I get all dizzy and sick in the shower. I have to bath now. Not the biggest fan of baths. Very odd.

@RosieJess91 I had this in the shower a couple of nights ago. First time ever but it was awful, I honestly thought I was going to pass out xx

My boobs had a proper moment before – they went SO sore and tingly for about 10mins, it was like nothing I’ve ever felt before! Felt like all of the nerves in there were tingling really strongly and there was nothing I could do about it, was very uncomfortable! Not complaining though – means stuff is going on!

Hope everyone has had a good day - I'm just trying to finish off some work, it's been another unproductive one as I'm SO tired! 😴

@skyblue20 mine seem to have grown! Normally an a cup 😂 falling out of a b cup now. I remember when I breastfed they went to like a DD 🙈 felt like dolly parton.

Weather's been horrendous here today. Just rained non stop all day!

@ew1990 I'm worried about my boobs now, I'm a DD/E normally depending on shop - lord knows what size I'll get to 😳

Hi all! Hope you don't mind me joining. I'm 5w3d after 2 mc in the past year. Have had two successful pregnancies in 2004 and 2011. Really hoping this one sticks but no nausea yet, just lower back ache. Have an early scan oct 21.

@mrsk hopefully they won't get too big. Mine shrunk right back down after I stopped breastfeeding.

@Monkeysmommy welcome! I’m 5+3 too! I’ve got no symptoms yet either, going to book an early scan at 8 weeks but holding off to book that. Fingers crossed for us both! @Threnody & @Simmy20 are both around 5w too. Everyone’s so supportive & the people further along give us hope.

Hi @Monkeysmommy welcome! Definitely a bunch of us around the same time - I'm 5 weeks today too. Don't think any of us have any blazing symptoms yet :)
Exciting you've got an early scan booked and definitely gives a date to work towards.

Congratulations to you all and huge positive vibes for the rest of this pregnancy. Hoping for rainbows for all of us!

I’m newly pregnant for the third time this year. MMC at 11 weeks, then lost the next one spontaneously at 6 weeks. I haven’t had a period since but am now pregnant again.

I’m just wondering how you dated in the early days if any of you were also in this situation? I know the midwives are taking the day I passed the tissue as LMP, but I’m pretty sure I ovulated later than that would suggest. It gives a difference of about 5 days I think, which in the grand scheme of things isn’t much, but at the moment when I’m trying to get through every single little milestone I can’t decide which one to go with! I’m either 4+4 or 5+1, so I just consider myself ‘around 5 weeks’, but like... I can’t decide if I can tick off my 5 week milestone yet or not 😜 it becomes a little bit more significant next week when I want to feel like I’ve passed the day of the second miscarriage.

@CarlaKristina and @Monkeysmommy hello, sorry to hear about your losses and congratulations on the new pregnancies!
I didn’t have an AF date to go with either so I with ovulation date and added on the two weeks you usually get before ovulation. At first when I had an early scan at epu that dated me as less far gone but my last private scan put me back on track so I was right to go with ovulation plus two weeks.

Thread is moving fast today! Welcome to the new ladies. We seem to be clustering due dates every couple of weeks.

I think the nausea might* be easing for me. Two nights in a row I've eaten more than half of my tea!

My colleague spotted my bump when I had to get up on a video call and was like whoa look at that! Luckily she knows I'm pregnant 🤣

Still feeling achey and twinges particularly in the evening, and today added back ache into the mix. Think I might try sleeping with a pillow between my legs and see if that helps.

In other news I think I'm at the end of breastfeeding my daughter. My milk appears to have all but dried up! Feeling a bit sad about it but I knew this time would come in the next few weeks. She's still having a few sucks each night but I think more for comfort...

Hi @Workingmama1 , not sure how you feel about breast feeding coming to an end as this is the first post I've read from you about it but I just wanted to say that mine dried up during my pregnancy with my second daughter, my first daughter continued to nurse infrequently for comfort and as soon as my milk came in again she latched right back on and I tandem fed them for 2 years. It's not for everyone though, not trying to push it down your neck or anything 😂 I just desperately didn't want the bf to end for my first daughter and didn't think tandem would be possible after drying up.

Just got my blood test results back and my hcg has risen to 4200. Went from 180 to 480 in 2 days then to 4200 a week later. So it hasn't doubled every other day but she said that's just a guide. I now need the scan to see what's going on but she said it's positive. I could get the scan now but since I'm only 6+1 there is a chance it's still too early to see anything so she said if I can hold out until early next week that would be best so that we can see what's going on and confirm everything is all good.
