Hey everyone sorry not paired in a while I have been still keeping up to date though and glad to see more scans, hope your bleeding stops soon, thinking of you.

I’ve just had a phone call off the receptionist at the doctors stating that they’ve found high white blood cells in my urine. And I need to drop another sample off. I don’t know why but I’m completely beside myself I know I’m being pathetic but I don’t think it helped when I was asking questions and with her just been given the instruction the ring me she obviously isn’t a nurse or anything and didn’t know the answers. She asked if I was okay and I said the only symptom I’ve had of infection was weeing more but that’s kinda a given with being pregnant. Has anyone else had this? I can’t help but feel it’s bit a real dampener on my day and it’s really getting to me :(

elliew818 · 02/10/2020 11:59

@Pugprincess I'm rhesus negative as well. I got a call at 7am yesterday from EPU saying I needed an anti D injection because of the bleeding now I'm 12+ weeks so worth bearing in mind for you too - although hopefully your bleeding has stopped now and good luck with your scan
Just got a very wet letter with blood test screening results saying 1 in 10,000 chance so feeling very relieved as there were suspected chromasomal abnormality with previous pregnancy.
Sorry your GP isn't being very helpful @Threnody hoping you get some answers
Thanks for the advice @Poppy10121, @SkyBlue20 & @Simmy20 & @Starfish762 we're seeing them Sunday now so an extra day to debate over telling them, although I'm not sure I'll be able to hide the bump tbh!

Pugprincess · 02/10/2020 12:19

@elliew818 ah thank you yes if I get any bleeding from 12 weeks I will be sure to contact midwife/epu thanks xx

@Lu93 I’ve just had the same call from my doctor. I have to swing by my chemist later to collect antibiotics. I think I’m ok now as this sample was a week ago and I was struggling to wee that morning for the sample after my big wake up wee lol. So it was dribbles of cloudy wee. She says she’s prescribed me safe ones for my trimester so hopefully all will be ok. So rush chemist then home then scan lol. So tired.

@Threnody and @Simmy20 hopefully your bleeding is coming from outside the uterus 🤞🏻 It’s so early to scan though I’m not sure if they can see much at this stage 😩

Sakura54 · 02/10/2020 13:12

Oh no @Threnody I hope it’s nothing. Keep us updated on the bleeding. Late period and early MC isn’t even the same thing! It’s hard because to them MC and especially CP is so common and expected, but to us women, especially after loss, it’s not as simple as that. Horrible.

@Pugprincess Same here. I think struggling to wee messed up my sample too. In fact I didn’t tell them but it was wee from two times lol. The first wasn’t enough, so I drank a lot of water, got to hospital and added to it. Results from lab came back fine. I hate peeing in pots and I also hate public toilets.

So my scan was actually meant to be a day earlier but I already had a MW appt booked at a different place around the same time, so had to tell them to change it even though surely they should know, seeing as they booked it for me at my booking appt. Odd. Now my GTT and birthing options appt have been booked on the same day too, so will have to change one, otherwise I’ll be in the hospital for like 5 hours with a long wait in between appts. So disorganised and stupid. I mean it’s good and well that they book some appts months in advance, but not if they’re all going to clash!

Yeah, he wasn't the most sympathetic doctor.
@Pugprincess I'm 4+4 by lmp, but only 3+5 based on ovulation, so I think it is much too early for a scan.

@Sakura54 That sounds very disorganised. I don't think the admin side of things is very good across the NHS, and departments don't seem to talk to each other. Hope you can arrange your appointments more sensibly.

Poppy10121 · 02/10/2020 13:56

@Sakura54 NHS admin does my head in. Was told after scan yest to book the 20 week one at reception... went to reception and they said “oh there’s no free appointments showing that week!” ...?! They didn’t know what to do so apparently someone’s going to phone me sometime between now and then and sort it out!? Shambles!!

Hope you are ok @threnody xx

Good luck @Pugprincess 💕

Hey ladies, I’ve been quiet for a while and I just wanted to ask those that are now in their second trimester if they find themselves still worrying that something isn’t right? I have no bleeding or cramps but because the first trimester woes have gone, I just can’t help but think ‘what if I have another mmc’, anyone else? I know a lot of you had a mmc previously like myself.

@Threnody and @Simmy20 So sorry to hear you’ve both had a bleed. I had one at 11 weeks before my scan but everything was fine at my dating scan. So stay positive, easier said than done, obvs. I’m sure that some people have a false period during their first trimester too, so possibly could be this? I know it’s hard as you can feel quite alone and it seems like you can’t get much help, but I think try and listen to your body, this can help reassure you. I probably should be taking me own advice right now too, but even at 15+3 I’m still finding myself unable to stop thinking, what if, especially after the really sad news about Chrissy + John Legend, huge respect for them sharing it. I think it really helps people who have experienced loss. Sending good vibes to all x

Simmy20 · 02/10/2020 14:37

@Threnody that's so frustrating. Can you do any blood tests to check hcg levels? I've got everything crossed for you

ew1990 · 02/10/2020 14:46

@lrr31 I'm 17 weeks today and still can t see myself with a baby just yet as i cant get it out of my head that something's gunna be wrong at my 20 week scan. I'm sure it won't but it's always there in my head

Workingmama1 · 02/10/2020 15:04

Hope that the bleeding starts to stem for those of you experiencing it. @Threnody what an unhelpful and insensitive comment from the doctor!

My bleeding seems to have stopped now, though had some very light brown discharge this morning. I'm getting a lot of normal discharge which is freaking me out, I keep pulling my pants down (thankfully wfh) thinking it's blood but it not been so far. My husband thinks I'm crazy.

@Lrr31 I know exactly how you feel, just turned 13 weeks today so according to the NHS website in the 2nd trimester but still full of worry. A bleed and discovery of a hematoma this week probably hasn't helped.

Also now my daughters cold has given her a fever, so she's off nursery. Thankfully managed to get her a covid test this morning so hopefully that will come back quickly and be negative 🙏

Good luck today for your scan @Pugprincess

Lrr31 · 02/10/2020 15:24

Thanks @ew1990 and @Workingmama1 - thanks for making me feel like this is normal.

I’m having a reassurance scan in a couple of weeks as I had a two of small bleeds a few weeks ago (midwife said nothing to worry about, but begged for a scan) so hopefully that will put my mind at rest 🤞but obvs the nature of the scan, might not.

I think increased discharge in the trimester is normal 😊

Lrr31 · 02/10/2020 15:26

Ps @Workingmama1 sorry to hear about your bleed too, but hopefully you can relax a little knowing the cause

Pugprincess · 02/10/2020 16:55

@Sakura54 oh that wee sample story made me smile as I regretted not adding my first dribble as I was also drinking lots 😂 once I got home...no problem weeing 😂

@Workingmama1 your discharge thing made me laugh as I’m doing exactly the same! Had soooo much today (normal) like I feel gushes of it 🙈

Thanks for the good lucks we are setting off very soon I need to get my bladder full on the way 😄

Lu93 · 02/10/2020 18:07

Thanks @Pugprincess bit of a strange one, I dropped my sample off and they called me at 5 and said that’s everything’s fine and no trace of infection... god knows what all that was about but by the time they’d told me everything was fine, I’d convinced myself I had a urine infection! After a google I’ve found that actually it’s very common and nothing to worry about! I can def relate to the discharge! Does anyone else’s gums really bleed?! I can’t literally eat a sandwich and my gums and bleeding 😶

Starfish762 · 02/10/2020 18:28

@Lu93 I had terrible bleeding gums with DD, my dentist even said I had ‘pregnancy induced gingivitis’ - lovely 😂

Has anyone else had mood swings? I did with DD but not as early as this. Think I’m 5w tomorrow so probably just blaming it on pregnancy when it’s probably just me being a misery 🤣

MrsK21 · 02/10/2020 18:37

Sorry to those experiencing bleeding, I really hope it settles down and disappears soon 🤞🏽

@Pugprincess good luck with your scan!

@Starfish762 im not sure about moody but feeling very emotional and the tiniest thing will set me off!

@Workingmama1 im with you on the discharge! And everytime I go to the toilet too, my loo roll consumption has rocketed, DH has warned me about overuse especially if we get more panic buying!! 😂

Pugprincess · 02/10/2020 18:59

Wowww guys scan went amazing! We got to hear the heartbeat but a few seconds! Got it on video. And baby was doing big jumps! It was incredible to see! Measuring ahead now so 11+4 but possibly even 11+5 as the baby was a bit too curled up to get a proper measurement. Haematoma appears to have gone 🤞🏻 Could see the umbilical cord too 😁 so happy xx

Ahh @Pugprincess magical, so pleased for you!! 🥰 lovely way to start the weekend!

@Starfish762 my moods are everywhere!! Yesterday my husband was in the loo when I wanted to have a shower in the morning and I burst into tears 😅 every small thing is so big sometimes!!

Pugprincess · 02/10/2020 19:31

@Starfish762 Yh I know I’m moody and snappy 😫 doesn’t help when you feel so tired though xx

Lollol86 · 02/10/2020 19:33

@Pugprincess so pleased for you, beautiful pictures ❤️

Starfish762 · 02/10/2020 19:36

@Pugprincess wow amazing pictures! Lovely news to start the weekend 💜

DanceM1 · 02/10/2020 20:14

@Pugprincess so happy for you!! Wonderful news.

@Lrr31 I'm 18 weeks and still feel like that. I've had two lots of bad news lately about my friends' pregnancies so that hasn't helped. Wont tell you guys all about it because we don't need any more reasons to worry! I just want to make it through the 20 week scan now. I still feel like im not a 'real' pregnant lady 🤣 like im a fake or something!! I hope our pregnancies continue to be successful 🙏🙏🤞

Lrr31 · 02/10/2020 20:57

Congrats @Pugprincess 🥰

@DanceM1 I’m sorry to hear about your friends, I hope they’re both ok. I know what you mean about feeling like a fake and yes to make it to 20 weeks scan 🤞

Workingmama1 · 02/10/2020 21:02

@pugprincess so glad scan went well and great news hematoma has hopefully gone!

I lost my rag with my husband today. He's been feeling a little off and tired as my daughter has been waking in the night, he was messing about and taking ages to get her ready for her bath, I told him to hurry up and his response was "you try dealing with her when you feel like this!". I went mad, I'm also knackered from the night wakings, have a cold and haven't lost the 1st trimester joys and nausea, exhaustion and all the other fun stuff. Plus every night I'm getting an achy tummy which I think now is just stretching pains but they really put me on edge. I literally just snapped back at him "you try feeling like that and add in being pregnant!". I'm still fuming!

Simmy20 · 02/10/2020 21:16

Congratulations @Pugprincess what wonderful scan photos. Hopefully it can put your mind at rest a bit.

@Workingmama1 I'm the same. I don't have a lot discharge but I keep thinking I feel something and checking anyway. But it's all in my head. Just so paranoid lol

@Starfish762 I'm only 5+4 and I don't have moodiness but I'm so emotional. I cry at anything. I think I've cried multiple times every day and I usually don't ever cry.
