hello.. i am ok to join. I am 20 weeks and 4 days today. its been a scary and wonderful journey, lost my first in 2019 october. Never really got over the loss. Being pregnant with my rainbow baby makes me cautious and observant of everything.

SammiLou2312 · 23/02/2021 20:52

@FemaleLady sorry for not responding sooner but wanted to wish you gentle congratulations and sticky bean vibes. It is a tough journey carrying a rainbow baby but it is so worth it. Most of the group have now graduated (given birth - my little rainbow baby girl was born in September 2020) so this may be a tad quiet but hopefully there will be other rainbow baby mums join you on the journey x

footprintsintheslow · 26/02/2021 06:26

@FemaleLady congratulations to you. This thread was so supportive but I'm worried it'll be too quiet now to give you much support.

Hopefully new people will come along soon and join. Or maybe start a new thread as some will be put off by how long this is and may not want to try and catch up reading the back pages.

Hello,

Just wanted to send some love to you all and your babies (well not babies any more, they’re all big toddlers now). I was just reading a post on FB from a lady who is pregnant after a miscarriage and it made me think of you all and what a lifeline this group was during a really difficult time. I also really hope others, who may have stumbled upon our thread or gone hunting for good news stories, have been helped by seeing our list of graduates.

Most of all, I hope those precious rainbows are all doing really well.

Take care everyone 🌈

turquoisebaby · 10/06/2022 13:10

It's so nice to see this thread again. I often think about the ladies who's stories I followed during my difficult few years.

My little rainbow is now 16 months old and I really wouldn't of got through that awful time without this thread and having people to relate to.

Hope you are all doing well.

Littlegoth · 10/06/2022 15:31

I was so grateful to go pregnancy with everyone on this thread - what a tough time it was. Our rainbow is 21 months old and a little whirlwind. We are hoping for a second successful pregnancy but I will miss our little group! X

Hagster · 21/07/2022 08:29

Ah it's so lovely to read these messages and hear how you're getting on. My rainbow is now 21 months, and I often pinch myself that he's real and healthy and cheeky and wonderful and mine. I'm so grateful for you all. You were the best support I could ever have asked for, you 'got' me and were so understanding and caring through those dark months.

I'm actually pregnant again now, very early days so I'm right back in the thick of the worrying 🤦🏻‍♀️. We shall just have to see how it goes, and remember 'right now, I am pregnant'.

Take care all, and thank you again for being so bloody brilliant. ❤️

Shefliesonherownwings · 21/07/2022 15:12

Oh so nice to see people on here again. Our little rainbow is now 21 months and we’re thinking of trying for another. Pretty sure I’ll be back on the conception board soon enough going through all those emotions again.

TunnocksTCake · 13/12/2022 15:31

Ahhh how nice to see your names again!! Its brought a tear to my eye to see that you are expecting no 2 @Hagster ! How far along are you?

This was the most incredible support group, I am so grateful to you all for the part you played in keeping me calm and getting me through the awful anxiety.

Frankie is a running, jumping, hilarious little monkey and we are now TTC no.2 - cycle 2 so early days but the anxiety is coming back strong!

Sending you all loads of love.

Rachael321 · 13/12/2022 18:47

Aw this popping into my emails tonight brought back some lovely memories!

We are also planning to try for baby no.2 in the new year!

Hagster · 13/12/2022 19:32

Ah thank you @TunnocksTCake, honestly I can't agree more with how special this group was. I'm actually 31 weeks now, a baby girl due Valentine's Day. Although there have been some hiccups (the usual worries plus I've got Obstetric Cholestasis again), touch wood everything seems to be ok so far.

Best of luck to those of you TTC number two yourselves, sending you sticky bean vibes from across the internet xxx

SunStruck · 14/12/2022 03:15

So lovely to see this thread again! We had 2 under 2 for a while, now I have a 26 month old and a 5 month old 😅 Second time is easier I promise to those of you who are pregnant or trying, you're less naive and also think that you already have one, so it is less pressure I thought. I was very clinical about it and quite surprised when all turned out well with tests and 12 week scan 😅

I am very very tired but happy we have 2 healthy boys after 2 miscarriages - Hang in there! The second pregnancy went completely without hiccups.

Hagster · 14/12/2022 14:40

Congratulations @SunStruck, so lovely to hear of your second boy! And thank you for the reassurance, although you are an absolute hero for coping with that short gap, I am only just now feeling ready to go back to those sleepless nights.

tmc14 · 14/12/2022 21:52

Ah, really lovely to catch up on this thread. Saved me in my loneliest moments ❤️
I was pregnant with my second in this thread, she turned 2 in October and is a force of nature 🤣 brilliant and hilarious and her brother’s bestie and just exhausting. Im trying to convince my husband we should try for a third but he thinks I’m insane. We’re probably too old now but I’m so very grateful for my two. They really are everything.
So pleased some of you are pregnant again and I hope those trying are successful really soon. It’s such a rollercoaster and takes such strength. xxx

SunStruck · 15/12/2022 03:06

@Hagster not recommending 2 under 2 to anyone!!! It's been hell on earth sleep wise oh my god! And still is, hopefully better after weaning 😫 this happened a bit sooner than we anticipated (only 3 months sooner), and due to my age (I am 39 now) I wanted to try sooner rather than later. Hopefully this will all pay off later when they're older and can play together haha!

Shefliesonherownwings · 15/12/2022 08:55

Hi all, really nice to see you all again! I was pregnant on this thread with our little rainbow, who turned 2 in October this year. He is an absolute joy and delight and has helped us heal a lot after the loss of his big sister.

We are now expecting again, baby no 3 and an early scan shows another boy. I’m almost 20 weeks now and feeling movement which is good. Next scan next week so it’ll be nice to see baby again and make sure all is ok.

Littlegoth · 01/01/2023 15:38

Nice to see all these updates! I’m also pregnant again, 10 weeks. I had another miscarriage in August so this time I’ve had progesterone added to the enoxaparin and aspirin, and so far so good x

MOGMOGMOG85 · 08/07/2023 15:01

Oh wow people came back onto this thread!

The same, my mental health was so shredded by my fertility journey and this thread was a complete lifeline. To think that via the Internet where people can often be so callous thousands and thousands of messages were shared between us and everyone was so unrelentingly kind and supportive...

6 months into trying for no. 2 now (or 7 or 8 months im not exactly sure, which in itself shows how much better im coping this time around - so far anyway!). Turned 38 a month ago, both myself and hubby far less healthy than we used to be, so here goes...

Amazing to see that a few of you have already had another baby, this whole thread feels like only yesterday in a way! For me at first beating pnd and then persuading hubby that another one would be a good idea took a while!

Errol is 2 and 8 months now, having been born a month early on bonfire night! I'd love to see another round of pics from everyone's gorgeous babies and/or toddlers!

And @Hagster those positive sticky bean vibes mean so much, thank you! Xx

SammiLou2312 · 16/07/2023 15:32

Hi @MOGMOGMOG85 so happy to hear your little one is doing so well! My little girl turns 3 in September - I don't know where the time has gone, it's flown by! We would have loved to have had another but unfortunately I was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and, while I am now in remission, the treatment has probably left me unable to have more. Little miss keeps me on my toes enough though, definitely hitting threenager territory haha! I wish you all the best in your journey for your next baby xx

MOGMOGMOG85 · 16/07/2023 18:16

@SammiLou2312 I am so so so so sorry you had to go through cancer oh my goodness!! I'm so happy you are in remission and that you had your wonderful girl just in time.

Sending lots of love to you and also positivity that you will beat this thing and keep kicking it to the curb. It seems so unfair that you ended your battle to have a baby and have had to enter a new battle :(

You're also reminding me hard that we should all be grateful for what we have already, and we are so lucky.

Took my friends toddler to the park yesterday so she could enjoy a couple of hours at the pub on her birthday. Had SO MUCH FUN with her little one and my Errol, who were rolling around and laughing and having the best time. I felt so lucky and probably enjoyed those hours more than even having a drink with the women at the pub after! We must treasure what we have xxx

SammiLou2312 · 16/07/2023 18:42

It's been a very tough time but honestly if it wasn't for Amelia I wouldn't have found the lump and it might not have been the same outcome (I found it while feeding her). Plus she was one of the biggest factors that kept me fighting. I think it's really important to just enjoy every moment...they are our little miracles and they are growing up so blooming quick! My little beauty 😍
