How is everyone doing? Would love to hear symptoms people have, I've had aching hips and legs all night it feels like I've run a marathon this morning Sad apparently all normal though

Rascalia86 · 11/09/2020 08:26

@lucymagoo
Im not getting much in the way of morning sickness, a bit of a queasy feeling, but last night my hips were painful and I get a fair amount of cramping most of the day. And I've had a few minor headaches.

But other than that I feel great. Tired and hormonal but great. Grin

beanys · 11/09/2020 08:46

Such vivid dreams for me! Also lots of cramps like I've got a dodgy tummy with lots of wind (but I don't). No sore boobs yet though, which was my main symptom last pregnancy!! Am sure they will set in though.

wannabemum1989 · 11/09/2020 08:49

For me, it's been mild cramping on and off most days, a few headaches, and some proper fatigue yesterday for the first time, but that's it still really! X

leftitlate37 · 11/09/2020 09:21

hey all! congrats on all the exciting news! can i join please?! got a BFP yesterday, gulp! terrifed/excited all at once. think due mid May with our first. slightly worried being on the older end of the scale but we shall see what happens. relieved that there has been an explanation for my oh so sore boobs...and that horrid crampy feeling u get when AF is due! x

Newbie1987 · 11/09/2020 11:05

Hi and congratulations! I'm due 11th May and it's my first pregnancy. Very surprised but over the moon. I'm 33. My boobs hurt and I need to pee every 5 minutes but other than that I'm feeling tip top. Can't wait for my midwife appointment at 8 weeks, just hope everything is okay until then. Obviously a bit concerned about the sort of antenatal care I'll get with services being so restricted due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Anyone else worried about this too?

Rg1987 · 11/09/2020 11:24

@newbie1987 100% agree! This is my second and think it will be very different to my first experience. I'm booking a private 8 week scan so at least my husband can join me for that.

5rosebud · 11/09/2020 12:35

My first symptom were very sore boobs (nipples mainly) and I have completely lost my energy. Also feel I have more energy which is weird or it could just be the excitement Smile xx

5rosebud · 11/09/2020 12:36

Meant to say lost my appetite!

lucymagoo · 11/09/2020 13:02

I think I'm the opposite to you @5rosebud 😂 I want to eat everything in sight and have no energy at all

LaGallinaLocaX · 11/09/2020 13:09

Hiya everyone, can I join in too?

I'm 6w 4ds with my second, feels like everything is new to me as my son will be 12 when baby arrives!
Had an early scan on Wednesday as I'm so impatient and needed to see baby to reassure myself that this is really happening 🤣 (although the sickness and feeling generally shit were strong confirmations!) anyone else had a n early scan yet? X

5rosebud · 11/09/2020 13:22

@lucymagoo😂 that is weird. I also found I had more “symptoms” the previous month when I wasn’t actually pregnant but convinced myself I was haha!

5rosebud · 11/09/2020 13:24

@LaGallinaLocaX aww that’s amazing! I was looking at private scans yesterday. I think I will get one at 10 weeks as I want my Husband at the first scan and I know the NHS are still refusing to let partners in at antenatal appointments

LaGallinaLocaX · 11/09/2020 16:01

@5rosebud aww thanks honestly I can't stop staring at it. Seeing the heartbeat has made all the tiredness sickness and feeling like the walking dead worthwhile.

What area are you in? One of my friends has just had a scan and her partner was allowed in, just not allowed at the midwife appointments but they seem to be very few and far between atm anyway. I didn't have the patience to wait until 10 weeks, id had a little bleed a few days before, and a&e advised me to just take a test in a week and see if it is still positive! I kind of do understand why they're so reluctant to scan at the moment but it felt heartless and I couldn't stand being in limbo!x

5rosebud · 11/09/2020 16:39

I’m based in Bristol. Oh maybe they might be relaxing the rules a little bit now.

Oh that must have been so frightening! I understand why you’d want make sure everything was ok

LaGallinaLocaX · 11/09/2020 17:33

I'm in the north east and I hear they're allowing partners at the scan so hopefully it's the same in Bristol now. Not sure how long that will last here though as it seems we're headed for a local lockdown.

DMBX · 11/09/2020 18:26

Found out Sunday we are expecting.

Right now we are 5+5 and have been in touch with the midwifery services so have arranged our first appointment and scan.

The first appointment isnt until 11 weeks with he scan at 12 but I've been reading we should have tests done or at least offered for the likes of sickle cell and they should be done before the 10th week, is this right?

Rascalia86 · 11/09/2020 18:27

I know telford and Shrewsbury area are allowing partners in for appointments, all it says is that it needs to be the same person all the time. From what I understood of it anyway.
Indigestion and heartburn has hit me hard today.

RustyCat · 11/09/2020 18:28

Hi, can I join? I finally got my BFP this morning! I had been suspicious as AF was late compared to normal but due to my MC in April this year I wasn't 100% convinced it was due to a BFP so I was very excited to see the pregnant pop up on the test! Baby due around 16th May I believe, fingers crossed for a smooth one this time!

Congratulations to all of you too!

CatLady20 · 12/09/2020 09:38

Hi all, just got my first ever BFP on Monday, currently 5+7 so due around 10th May! Excited and terrified. Trying for 2 years so this is such a shock. Anyone else still doing pregnancy tests just to see the positive??

Mbecksta · 12/09/2020 10:57

Hi ladies congrats! Can I join? I got my bfp on 28th August and am due 10th May. We have been trying since November last year so very excited!
So far I’m feeling super tired and sore boobs, I had some l nausea but I have been nibbling on things almost constantly to keep it at bay. I’ve contacted my local midwifery team and have my booking appointment on 1st October but they’re doing it by phone? Has anyone else come across this? Xx

Nannon145 · 12/09/2020 17:39

Hey everyone! I’m currently 5+4. Suffered 2 miscarriages this year so very nervous about this pregnancy. Got a scan booked for Thursday where I will be 6+2 for reassurance. Never got this far without bleeding before so hoping that is a good sign. And feeling a bit crappy. Really tired and a bit sicky today.
Anyone else going for a private scan at 6 weeks?

Okla1990 · 12/09/2020 18:41

Hi ladies. Hope you’re all well. Little advice required... does anyone else’s cervix feel low and soft? I haven’t felt around inside but when I sit I can feel it. Currently 5w 3days.
Thank you in advance xxxx

Whilstwewait · 13/09/2020 09:10

@Okla1990 I had the smallest amount of spotting the day my period was due when I checked it felt really low but that was 2 weeks ago. Not checked since. I've never felt it sat down. Are you sure its not something else? X

Okla1990 · 13/09/2020 09:32

Thank you for your reply. 😊

Maybe it is, I think I’m worrying to much because of previous losses. The sensation doesn’t seem to be there today.
I hope you’re well.
Xx
