Hi, I'm starting a new thread for all those mummas who conceived recently and will be due in May next year (2021)

I just found out I'm pregnant, estimated due date currently 11th May 2021

So excited!! Anyone else??

Is anyone first time mummas or is this baby #2, 3... ?? Xx

@Rascalia86 oh not really what you want to be hearing, but at least they are keeping a close eye on you. How does it feel having a date to work towards now?

I had a presentation scan today and baby is breech but not engaged yet - I'm going in for an ECV to attempt to spin him round either on Friday or Monday hopefully before he drops. They've told me to have my DH waiting in the car outside with the hospital bags just in case they need to move to an EMCS due to a few concerns with my chronic health condition Sad they've said it's unlikely but better safe than sorry. I'm currently residing on the birthing ball in hopes baby sorts himself out before then!

Rascalia86 · 14/04/2021 22:30

@PlanBea I think I had a really bad moment of panic knowing that in two weeks she could potentially be here. I'm gonna make sure I have everything in the car for my two appointments before that too, just in case. It was just such a shock because everything had been going fairly smoothly. I'm feeling a lot better now that it's had time to sink in, but now need to do an emergency run to primark for my last little bits, because from what the consultant said once I'm in I won't be out until she's out. 😅

PlanBea · 14/04/2021 23:50

@Rascalia86 yeah I'd have the bag in the car just in case! I'm hoping to avoid doing a Primark run until it calms down a little (I'm more a PJs kind of person but a big cheap nightie would be good, and a cheap dark towel/big pants that I can just get rid of if they get destroyed would be good). I hope it all goes smoothly for you!

I’m also avoiding primark until it calms down a little bit 😂 I’ve seen the queues online and it’s a madness! People are going on like it’s not going to be open ever again 😂😂

Rascalia86 · 15/04/2021 09:36

@AyyX I've just come back from primark. No queue at all, was pretty dead actually. 😅 I was expecting it to be manic. But I'm all finished now.

Bought some bits in newborn size because most of the stuff I had was 0-1 or 0-3 months. I'm lucky the primark near me opens at 8. 😁
Just need to keep a close eye on her movements now. 😊

Hi all - I was on this thread originally due to have a baby boy on 20th May. But the little tinker had other plans and my waters broke/he arrived on 31st March at 32 weeks and 5 days. He is gorgeous and doing great. Wishing you all wonderful births and little ones when they arrive xxxx

Rascalia86 · 15/04/2021 12:55

@Sophi123 Congratulations!!!!! Wow, that was an eager baby! 😁

May2021Mummy · 15/04/2021 13:15

@Sophi123 congratulations 💙

AyyX · 15/04/2021 19:28

@Sophi123 wow congrats!!

@Rascalia86 I’ve been buying 0-3months and above coz I’m worried he might be too big for newborn 😅

Just had my midwife appt today, I’m 36+4. Everything seems ok, he’s measuring 38cm.. my first never went over whatever week she was, it was either smaller or on the weeks. Hopefully he doesn’t come out too big Shock

Rascalia86 · 15/04/2021 20:29

Just left triage after been in for reduced movement, all is good but they're pulling my induction forward to this Sunday to be safe. I'll be 37+2, she was estimated at about 5lb6 yesterday so lordy knows what she'll come out at. Very nervous but very excited.

Analysethat · 15/04/2021 20:52

Congrats to all the births/ impending births.

I’m due 4th May and need it over with, my back is so painful and I can barely walk. Knowing my luck I’ll go waaaay over 😭😭😭lol

PlanBea · 16/04/2021 10:00

@Rascalia86 oh wow, I'm 37+1 today and the thought of having a baby tomorrow just hasn't quite entered my head yet! Best of luck for Sunday, can't wait to hear some happy news!

Rascalia86 · 20/04/2021 18:56

Hello all. So, 37+4, 13:40 today by c section, 5lb11oz, Oriana Penelope Speight. She's in neonatal at moment but they've said she shouldn't be there long, A day or so at most. Gotta say, wow, I ache but so worth it. 😁

AyyX · 20/04/2021 19:15

@Rascalia86 congrats!!!!
Did they let you go home or are you in the hospital atm?

Rascalia86 · 20/04/2021 19:18

@AyyX I'm still at hospital with it been a c section. They've said they're happy to let me go after 24 hours as long as I can basically look after myself but Ori will be in a few days maybe depending on blood results. 😁

AyyX · 20/04/2021 19:23

@Rascalia86 that’s amazing, how are you both doing?

Rascalia86 · 20/04/2021 19:39

@AyyX I'm fine, just seriously aching with the wound. My other half has just been up to see her and said she's doing really well. 😁 I'm still stuck unable to walk right now.

May2021Mummy · 20/04/2021 20:18

@Rascalia86 congratulations 💖 hope you are both doing well

CLeighannHxo · 20/04/2021 20:37

@Rascalia86 Congratulations!! Hope your both well 😁

PlanBea · 20/04/2021 21:05

@Rascalia86 congratulations! ❤️ They weren't too far off with their estimate of 5lb6. Usually they're miles out!

CLeighannHxo · 26/04/2021 14:05

I went for my growth scan the other day and they are concerned about babies growth, I am to go on thursday to check my fluids and have another scan the following week, they said to me if there's still no improvement in growth then they will look at inducing me 😬 feeling very nervous and I've been upset/worried that my baby isn't growing as expected on the graph they use.

AyyX · 26/04/2021 14:25

@CLeighannHxo how many weeks are you now? Hopefully all goes well for you!

I’m 38+1 today and honestly, my belly feels sooooo heavy now and a lot more stretch marks have appeared 😩 I feel massive. Wonder when he will decide to make an appearance..

eternalflame2020 · 26/04/2021 14:31

@cleighannhxo I hear so many stories of babies who were measured to be way above or way below the 50th centile and then when they come out, they're normal average size! I think there is a margin of error so try not to worry too much.

I am the other end of the scale where they are inducing me because baby is measuring big.

CLeighannHxo · 26/04/2021 14:34

I am 35+2, I'm hoping he shoots up on the chart at my next scan, aww @AyyX you haven't got long at all now! 😁

Rascalia86 · 26/04/2021 15:19

@CLeighannHxo that's what happened to me, my growth was shown to have slowed at 36+5, they wanted me in for day assessment just to listen in on the Saturday and then another scan the next Wednesday, with a plan to induce me the following week. My beautiful little girl is a week old tomorrow and the doctors, midwives and the entire team were amazing, so try not to worry and if in doubt call them. They still keep telling me to call them with any worries or questions and I'm at home now. 😁
