Hi ladies! Can I join? May 6 th for me. It's my 2nd. Is anyone else on #2? This baby is already getting less attention than it's bro. So much work with a 2 y/o I barely have time to think about the new pregnancy. Feel a bit guilty!

donewithbeingpreg · 02/09/2020 21:47

@taraRoo omg tell me about it. This is baby #2 for me also, my little boy is only just 5 months old and so he needs soo much of my attention that I keep forgetting I'm pregnant. Also, because my family aren't as excited with this one, because they think it's a little too soon, it makes me feel like I need to not talk about it as often... which in turn, makes me forget a little myself. It sucks!!! 😅

@donewithbeingpreg your post made me laugh! No one is remotely excited About this poor little mite. My son was the first grand child so v special. My bro has also had a child since then. Everyone seems bored of babies. Plus my mums not impressed with a Covid pregnancy.

You must have it tough with a 5 month old. Maybe we need to schedule time to think about our new babies? Baby mindfulness or something?😂

Amelia891 · 03/09/2020 07:44

Morning everyone! Yes @taraRoo number 2 for me as well, also have a 2 year old. I have a feeling this pregnancy is not going to be quite so relaxed 😅

@Whilstwewait Hope you’re feeling ok. I think a bit of spotting is normal?

Haven’t told anyone yet as I only did the test yday but going on holiday with my parents next week so I’m going to have to tell them then or they will guess when I’m not drinking. Feels a bit too soon to be telling people but don’t have much choice!

Those who are on number 2, do you feel the same as last time? I feel totally different, last time by now I had loads of spots and my boobs were huge! This time my skin is fine, boobs not big but are sore and I’ve had a few cramps and felt like AF was coming whereas last time I had nothing at all.

It’s so nice to have this group to talk to about it- it’s actually making it feel a bit more real!!

Whilstwewait · 03/09/2020 08:13

Congratulationsto everyone whose joined.

@amelia891 congratulations. Apparently it is completely normal 2 of my friends had it from 4 to gone 6 weeks. So I'm trying to relax

We have told quite a few people. Only because we have been trying for so long and were honest with people that we were struggling. So felt natural to tell them

This is my first so nothing to compare too but I'm so spotty as well. Have been since ovulation. I usually get some spots but these are all on my cheek and above my lip where i never get spots normally. So annoying

taraRoo · 03/09/2020 08:49

@Amelia891 congratulations!

I don't feel 'as pregnant' as last time. Though last time I think I put off having the test for ages so was already over 5 weeks. This time I didn't think I was pregnant before the test. Last time I knew about ten days before ad I just feel totally out of it. Maybe I just don't have time to notice this time!

donewithbeingpreg · 03/09/2020 10:54

The only thing that makes me feel pregnant these days is the ultimate tiredness and MUM BRAIN !!! Last time I didn't have it much (though people would beg to differ lol). This time I'm clumsy, mistaking things, even making bottles for my son, I've spilt 3 in the last two days and wasted them 😅😩😂

Hello! I found out I'm pregnant yesterday and EDD is 8th May according to online due date estimation. I have an appointment to confirm pregnancy and get booked in with a midwife stuff on Tuesday.

So far my symptoms are sore nipples and I've had a bit of nausea (I got sent home from work a few days ago for throwing up too - hadn't missed period at the time so thought it was food poisoning). I'm also really tired all the time the last few days. I've been falling asleep on the couch at 9pm which I'm hoping eases a bit soon!

This is my second pregnancy and I have a son who is almost 9 :) super excited to be able to do this again

LittleLL · 03/09/2020 12:40

Hi everyone 👋🏻

I'd like to join. I'm pregnant with my 2nd - my first daughter is 2.5. Due 16th May

Hope everyone is feeling OK! 💫

Jellybean8 · 03/09/2020 17:33

Hi everyone! It's so exciting to see all these BFPs coming up. I see @gezelligheid you've booked in with your doctor, what is everyone else doing? How quickly would you refer to midwifery services? It's my first pregnancy so a bit unsure about it all!
I haven't had many symptoms so far but today I've been ridiculously breathless, like as I'm talking I'm running out of breath! So weird!

donewithbeingpreg · 03/09/2020 19:16

@Jellybean8 with my first, I didn't know I was pregnant till I was about 6 weeks gone, so I contacted doctors the same day I found out. This time round, I found out on Monday I think and still haven't contacted them. Was going to wait until my app says about 5 weeks pregnant and then phone them.

So far period hasn't turned up so looking promising and the strip tests I've been taking daily are getting darker so doesn't look like a chemical.

Symptoms today have actually picked up so I'm feeling crazy sick, very tired and cramps here and there. Bloated also!! And soooo hungry!!

Might just phone them up tomorrow actually Smile

@Jellybean8 With my first, I called my surgery who got me in for a booking appointment - basically filling in forms and (I think) taking a wee sample - the first of many! I can't remember whether they took any blood then.

Everything else just goes from there. You'll have a few more appointments with it being your first. X

nlm82 · 03/09/2020 19:42

Hi I'd love to join, in due 4th May and this is my 5th baby 👶🏻 X

Whilstwewait · 03/09/2020 19:57

Welcome and congrats to new joiners

@Jellybean8 I'm going to call next week when im 5 weeks. My sister in law said the first time she called they said it was too early so her next pregnancy she called at 6 weeks and they said she'd left it late for the scan to be booked. So I'll compromise on 5 weeks Grin

Moandy · 03/09/2020 20:00

Can I join? DS is 18 months. Got my BFP yesterday. By my dates I should be due 16th May 2021. Can't help feeling something will go wrong as I've found out so early! Didn't find out until well over 4 weeks with DS. Praying this one sticks.

reeny19 · 03/09/2020 21:50

Hellooo, can I join? I’m between 4-5 weeks and have a nearly 14 month old!

Wasn’t expecting this to happen so soon, my son is still waking up 3-4 times a night and won’t sleep without the boob. My main anxiety is that he’ll still be like this in May and I’ll have to leave him to give birth! He’s never slept the night, not even close - I’m going to be EXHAUSTED. Well done @donewithbeingpreg, I’m in awe how you can manage this with a 4 month old! 😱

Due date approx May 7th. I am excited but I have no idea how I’m going to cope with two babies!

ShalomToYouJackie · 03/09/2020 21:58

Hey ladies,

There's already a busy thread here www.mumsnet.com/talk/pregnancy/3999873-due-date-may-2021 which also has a FB group set up

come and join Grin congratulations to you all xx

ShalomToYouJackie · 03/09/2020 22:01

Oops I don't think the link worked, it's the thread in Pregnancy called 'Due date May 2021' 463 posts and the FB group link has been reposted in there recently

TJM123 · 03/09/2020 22:22

Hey ladies! Congrats to you all, I had my BFP last week and am due around 1 May 2021 - feeling nervous as I had a chemical in June. But symptoms a lot stronger this time. I have a 3 yo and this pregnancy is completely diff this time @Amelia891 - last time had morning sickness from the day my period was due! This time no sickness but epic heartburn already...

Amelia891 · 04/09/2020 20:38

Reassuring to know others are having different experiences to last time too!

I phoned the doctors yesterday and they said pop down and fill a form out then someone will be in touch when I’m between 8-10 weeks so I did that today.

Does anyone know if partners are allowed into scans again yet? Is anyone planning on having an early private scan or waiting until 12 weeks?

wannabemum1989 · 05/09/2020 07:46

Is anyone finding that they've got no typical pregnancy symptoms at all yet? I don't seem to have any of it (other than some mild cramping on and off) and it's freaking me out a bit!!

Lou x

wannabemum1989 · 05/09/2020 07:49

@Amelia891 I'm not too sure what the current arrangement is with partners and scans, but I've booked an early 6 week private scan as I want some reassurance sooner. Felt like a small price to pay to set my mind at rest!
