Hi, I'm starting a new thread for all those mummas who conceived recently and will be due in May next year (2021)

I just found out I'm pregnant, estimated due date currently 11th May 2021

So excited!! Anyone else??

Is anyone first time mummas or is this baby #2, 3... ?? Xx

Quick question, are you ladies who are giving specific dates using the first date of your last period or working out weeks from conception? Technically I'm 5+1 however I'm really only 2 weeks from conception.?!

Whilstwewait · 08/09/2020 21:19

@Jellybean8 so glad I'm not the only one. Think I may have heightened smell tonight as can really smell the chicken we had for tea but my husband can't. Praying for a symptom 🤣

@beanys think we are all using LMP. So I'm 5w1 but I'm actually 19DPO. Your cycles must be longer than mine. Until we get our dating scans through. Daft isn't it as if you have cycles longer than standard 28 days you are classed as further along than people who ovulated before you x

Cafeaulait27 · 09/09/2020 04:20

Hello! I’m due 11th May and currently 5 weeks!

We’d been trying for 5 months and didn’t expect it to happen so quickly or naturally as I have pcos. We were seeing a specialist and on the waiting list for clomid! I do take metformin though which think helped.

I keep taking tests as I’m worried something will go wrong, and have booked a private early scan for 6+6. I can’t possibly wait until week 12!

Called the midwifery unit of the hospital on Friday to let them know, just waiting to hear back about my first appointment which will be over the phone due to covid.

Anyone got their first appointment yet?

lucymagoo · 09/09/2020 07:05

Is anyone doing line progression? I'm keeping track with FMU every morning as it's so early and I'm worried about the line just disappearing. I can't wait until 6 or 7 weeks along to find out it never even stuck

Rumples · 09/09/2020 07:10

Hi all,

I'm currently 4+2 l. Found out on Saturday Smile.

@lucymagoo I did until yesterday where I used my last FRER. I convinced myself the line was lighter and it ruined my day so I'm not going to do it anymore.

lucymagoo · 09/09/2020 07:38

That's a good idea @Rumples, definitely plays on your mind. I have so many one-step tests left I thought I might as well. Also I find it gives a short-term goal to look forward to each day as I'm so impatient for 7 weeks to hurry to have a scan!

Rascalia86 · 09/09/2020 08:26

Hi all!

I got my BFP on 29/8 and am about 5 weeks, due on May 10th hopefully! A week before my own birthday! Would be an amazing birthday present! Grin

I've decided to have a private reassurance scan at the end of September for my own peace of mind, especially as this is my first pregnancy and I'm a natural worrier.

Hope everyone is doing well?

X

beanys · 09/09/2020 08:36

@Whilstwewait I think I must have a long cycle as we actually conceived 2 days after I thought I ovulated which is very bizarre. The EWCM had passed and everything. Must have been one of those very rare situations.

lucymagoo · 09/09/2020 10:29

I've got spotting today, and my period is due either today or tomorrow so it looks like it's starting but I'm still getting strong positives on a test. Is this anything to worry about?

Whilstwewait · 09/09/2020 11:29

@lucymagoo I had brown spotting the day my AF was due. Only on wiping and not much. Consensus is that brown spotting is completely normal and common.

lucymagoo · 09/09/2020 11:29

@Whilstwewait thank you that's so reassuring!!

Queenbee95 · 09/09/2020 12:12

Hi ladies! EDD is May 2nd, going by last period. Makes me just over 6 weeks now!

Suffering horrendous nausea/morning sickness. On anti sickness meds just now.

big question though.. I weighed myself just two weeks ago and again today and I’ve lost 5lbs already. Is this normal? My first two sons I gained weight this early. I’m also at risk of dehydration just now, if that makes it any better (haha!)

Congrats to everyone here 💞

Rg1987 · 09/09/2020 14:13

@queenbee1995 I lost loads of weight in my first trimester with my first baby so it can happen!

Cafeaulait27 · 09/09/2020 18:28

@lucymagoo I did another test last night just to check It was still positive but it was a digital!

I need to buy some more line tests, I get cheap ones from waitrose 1.99 for two! I’ve ran out now though so I will get more at the weekend.

I really want to see a strong line, as last week they were quite faint on the line tests.

Keep us updated with your progress!

Has anyone else booked an early scan?

Cafeaulait27 · 09/09/2020 18:30

@Rascalia86 I’ve booked a private scan too, just want to make sure there is a baby in there and it’s ok! It’s booked for 2 weeks time, I’ll be almost 7 weeks. My parents are visiting that weekend too so I want to tell them with a bit more peace of mind (even though I know it can still all go wrong)

Let’s report back with our scan results (if you feel comfortable) ☺️

Queenbee95 · 09/09/2020 18:34

@Rg1987 thanks.. I’m just so unsure, I wasn’t this ill with DS1&2

mummabubs · 09/09/2020 18:44

I'm in such shock as DH and I only had sex once this month on the first day of my fertile window so I'd written it off but realised today I was 4 days late (also the first month I haven't tested before or given any thought to it as we were so sure we wouldn't have conceived!) 😲

So current due date is 17th May 2021 and it's DC2 for us as we also have a 3yo DS.

lucymagoo · 09/09/2020 19:06

@Cafeaulait27 yeah I'm really keen to see my lines progress I can't believe some people wait between a positive HPT and their 12 week scan just not knowing! I will be booking a scan at 7 weeks if all goes well until then 🥰

Rascalia86 · 09/09/2020 19:22

@Cafeaulait27 definitely! Mines 3 weeks today and I'll be just into my 8th week. I know a few people who've had them and they said they're glad they did them.

I'm hoping to do an early gender scan at 16 weeks too, all being well, because we're going to the baby show at the Nec at the end of November.

luckylakes · 09/09/2020 21:45

Hi ladies. A very tentative hello from me. I've had very faint positives today and would be due on 25 May.

I'm 42 and have 2DC 12 and 8. Very early days for me but keeping everything crossed for a sticky one x

5rosebud · 09/09/2020 21:53

Congratulations everyone!

I got a very strong BFP yesterday. This is our first baby so everything is all new to me. I hardly slept last night because I was so excitedGrin. My due date according to my last period date is 17th May.

I can’t wait until the first scan!

Abi04 · 10/09/2020 11:51

Hey 😊 just wanted to hop on and let you know I had brown spotting the day my period was due. It lasted for 2 days and was only on wiping - I spoke to a midwife and she said it’s totally normal, not to worry and just take a test in a week’s time for reassurance. It’s been a week for me now and still got that strong positive, so try not to worry too much!

lucymagoo · 10/09/2020 12:11

Thank you @Abi04! It was only a single wipe yesterday and then again this morning so I think all good. My line progression is still going well Smile so reassuring to hear it's normal

Mulderitssme · 10/09/2020 12:24

Hi. In a bit of shock here. Just found out that I'm pregnant. If I go to term it will be my first child but I have had two previous miscarriages. I feel awful, really sick and dizzy and my boobs are physically bigger but I'm only 4w4d. I've had cramping for the last week but this has stopped now. The metallic taste in my mouth isn't as bad. Is this a bad sign? If I go to term I will be due around May 15th

Whilstwewait · 10/09/2020 22:24

congratulation everyone

@Mulderitssme sorry to hear about your miscarriages. Consensus on here is that symptoms can come and go so try not to worry or you may get none like me which can also be completely normal x
