@Gixxer close to my due date Grin mine is 9/05
Wow did you get sickness from the start till 34weeks?
I didn’t get any with this pregnancy
Maybe only for a week in the beginning

PlanBea · 05/04/2021 14:35

@AyyX I've got a bruise like feeling round my belly button and a bit lower, but not quite as low as my public area. The amount of kicking and punching that's been happening I'm not surprised though haha

AyyX · 05/04/2021 17:54

@PlanBea aww haha! How many weeks are you now?

maybaby21 · 05/04/2021 18:01

Hi everyone, thought I would join in and say hello Smile I’m due on 1st May so 36+2 today. We are packing hospital bag this week and sorting out last bits in the house before baby gets here - can’t believe how quickly the pregnancy has gone!

Rascalia86 · 05/04/2021 18:04

I feel proper bruised down there. Feels like my insides wanna fall out too. Just over 4 weeks to go though, hopefully, due 7th May.

AyyX · 05/04/2021 22:06

Yeah all of a sudden I feel bruised down there for the last 2/3 days! Walking hurts too, feel like he might come earlier than due date. Getting up from laying down hurts so much 😩 feels like I’m breaking my back and dislocating a bone or something!!
Slowly packing hospital bag now, need to get a few more bits then I’ll be set Grin

thefishthatcouldwish · 06/04/2021 09:08

Hi all May I join? Am due at very end of May.

This is my first pregnancy and feel lucky as it was via IVF.

Starting to get my things together for hospital bag and baby bag but DH still need to put cot up and work out car seats with me etc.

Now am towards business end it’s starting to feel real.

May2021Mummy · 06/04/2021 10:00

@thefishthatcouldwish congratulations I'm due on 31st May still have 2 weeks left of work and then I'm going to sort out my bags and fit the isofix base in the car. Plus start the massive amounts of washing I think I may have bought/been gifted too many clothes but at least it will give me something to do while I'm waiting

Did you find out what you are having? 💙💖

Kjw1992 · 08/04/2021 14:12

Hey, I’m currently 34+2, feeling very tired and being kicked very hard in the ribs! Due to have my cervical stitch removed in 2 weeks! X

May2021Mummy · 11/04/2021 05:44

Hey ladies hope you are all well. I have 7 weeks to go and I'm currently an uncomfortable tired hormonal mess and it seems the only thing I can drink/eat lately is gaviscon. I really hope this last 7 weeks flies by although after my last week at work next week I think it might slow down a bit.

ER20 · 11/04/2021 06:20

33 weeks today, due the 30th of May. Very jealous of everyone going on maternity soon and tempted to start mine earlier than planned (39 weeks - working from home) as I have an extremely painful pelvis.

Sleeping, walking and getting up from lying down & sitting make wince. Got a bump band, ball, pillow etc. nothing helps.

AyyX · 11/04/2021 10:54

Hope you’re all well. I have exactly 4 weeks to go and I swear my belly feels so so heavy right now. I think I should’ve got a bump band but since I don’t have long left, I don’t think there’s any point now 😩 definitely will get one in future if I fall pregnant again.
Laying on my right side aches my bum, laying on my left side hurts my ribs.. twisting and turning from one side to the other is so difficult now 😭
Getting up is another challenge 😬
Not long to go ladies, we got this Grin

Rascalia86 · 11/04/2021 11:41

I'm 36+2, so just under 4 weeks to go! Sleeping is a nightmare, I'm getting more rest on the sofa during the day. Everyone got their hospital bags packed? I think I've been through mine a dozen times already to make sure I have everything, and now I think I may need a bigger bag! Argh!
Bump is heavy and tight now so fingers crossed she doesn't go over! 😅
Nearly there ladies! 😁

Moorelewis · 11/04/2021 11:45

@Rascalia86 I'm 35+ 4 and really understand the nightmare of trying to sleep. I wish I could fall asleep in the day, but my 2 year old is keeping me active! Is this your first? I haven't packed anything and still need to do all the washing, putting cot up etc. I'm much more relaxed this time Grin probably too relaxed!

Rascalia86 · 11/04/2021 11:58

@Moorelewis yeah, this is my first and will probably be my only. We've already got everything set up but I think that was all just due to been excited. 😁 I've been off since 33 weeks because my job is quite physical. My other half likes to starfish in bed, and my cat likes me up at 5am to feed him so that on top of the discomfort is not good for sleeping.

maybaby21 · 11/04/2021 14:38

Well done everyone who has already got everything set up! We are nearly there but it’s taking so long to do the final bits because I’m so tired 😓 less than three weeks to go now for me and definitely feeling the weight of the bump - having to lie down a LOT. Has anyone been doing perineal massage?

Rascalia86 · 11/04/2021 19:35

@maybaby21 Totally understand the tiredness, I've been exhausted. I've not been doing the massage but it's supposed to be really helpful in preventing tears. I might have to start, every little helps, and I'd rather prevent a tear if I can.

maybaby21 · 12/04/2021 07:40

@Rascalia86 sorry to hear you’ve been so tired too! Think I’m going to start with massage this week, not looking forward to it though! Shock

thefishthatcouldwish · 13/04/2021 18:07

Hello @May2021Mummy am having a boy. 😃. I have 2 more weeks and the rest of this one then am in Mat leave. Am WFH though as my job I can’t social distance. You? Do you know what you’re having.

Am starting to panic as we don’t have the cot up yet but we are closer than we were!

Also baby is transverse currently after being head down 🙄 gunna talk to midwife Friday about it.

The only tiny thing that is concerning me is what the heck do I get for baby to sleep in? I was thinking something to swaddle in but not sure what am concerned about hip dysplasia too so want to be careful.

So much to think about!

May2021Mummy · 13/04/2021 19:23

@thefishthatcouldwish aw congratulations we're having a boy too. We don't have a cot but we were given a Moses basket so we aren't in a rush for a cot. I've been WFH as well so glad it's my last week. The spare/babies room no is a complete mess it was our dumping ground so I really want to get it sorted but my OH doesn't think there's a rush because he'll be in with us at first 🙄🙄

I got some swaddles on Amazon which are cheat ones and have Velcro on we were also given a sleeping bag and I also got blankets as I wasn't sure which would work I'll see if I can find the link for the swaddles.

Have you picked a name? Since I've been pregnant I'm so fascinated by names although on the baby name thread on here some people are so rude

PlanBea · 13/04/2021 21:08

@thefishthatcouldwish I've gone for a broad range of sleep options - I have a groswaddle (a sleeping bag which is arms-in only) and a grosnug (which is arms in or out) - they might be the other way around! - then I've got a swaddle blanket and some large muslins. I've read so many "mine loved being swaddled!"/"mine hated being swaddled!" That I figured between that I should be able to get something that suits this baby! The grosnugs have a guide which tell you what other clothes they need based on room temperature.

I was at the midwife today and have been told, as I suspected, he's breech - so off to the hospital tomorrow for a scan and possibly a turn around. Then just to keep him that way! I've been advised to avoid an elective c-section due to my fibromyalgia, but obviously if it's needed it's needed. Only 8 more days left at work, I can't wait. It feels like everything is chaos at the moment (breech baby, poorly guinea pig, family members on both sides of the family having a tough time), I just need some breathing space!

thefishthatcouldwish · 13/04/2021 21:34

@May2021Mummy thanks for the link I had looked at them thought they looked fab.

@PlanBea yes you’re right so much conflicting advice re what is best for sleep. Have ordered just now some blankets only two as my niece and my 92 year old gran had made me some knitted ones.

Hope you manage to turn baby and that they stay head down! Sounds like you have a lot on!

For me the only thing I want to avoid is going in stirrups because that was the only thing I really really hated during ivf. Have chosen if baby moves to try a midwife led unit but the general hospital is a bit of a drive.

Rascalia86 · 14/04/2021 16:13

Well, eventful day for me today. I've just got back from my obstetric consultant appointment with a scan. Baby has dropped to between 10th and 3rd growth centile. They've booked me in for an induction on 28/4, and another scan and monitoring the week before. I can actually say that I am now absolutely pooping myself. Myself and my sister were both growth restricted but when I'd mentioned it to them previously they never said anything. 😱

CLeighannHxo · 14/04/2021 21:25

Hey Ladies, I hope your all well!
It seems like there's alot of boys due in May 😁
I've been to primark today to get bits for my hospital bag... sounds really silly but it felt soo good to buy new clothes etc! And actually feel 'normal' and doing something I loved to do before lockdown.

@May2021Mummy I actually bought those swaddled yesterday! They should arrive tomorrow 😁
