@eternalflame2020 we were given a moses basket it isn't in place yet but it's all put together just need to wash the covers and all the clothes. I still have 5 weeks until I stop working but I'm only working from home.

I like the idea for planning a treat if you go overdue. I really need my hair done hopefully I'll be able to fit that in before baby arrives

@beanys that is an excellent idea 💡 thank you

CLeighannHxo · 10/03/2021 11:16

We have already decorated and set up the nursery, I know we won't need it yet, but I'm hoping to use it for all the nappy changes etc, we are having our friends moses basket, but they are still using it at the minute so haven't got that yet.
I have been on furlough from my work as a senior in a care home since Christmas, so now I'm in the middle of washing and organising all the baby clothes (which were saved from OHs brothers kids)
I have my scan and think I'll be seeing midwife afterwards tomorrow, I can't wait to see baby on the screen again and I wonder if she'll ask me about breast/bottle feeding.

May2021Mummy · 10/03/2021 12:38

@CLeighannHxo you sound so organised our spare room is so full of junk most of it my OHs I swear he must of bought the entire stock of blockbuster when it was closing but who really needs DVDs now anyway 🙄

Ducky96 · 10/03/2021 13:02

Hi ladies. How is everyone feeling as it draws closer to due dates? I am 31 weeks on Friday and due 14th May. Getting real now. Pregnant with my first but my partner has 2 older children. Are people organised with babies room, clothes etc or am I just too organised?!

CLeighannHxo · 10/03/2021 13:54

@May2021Mummy Hahaha, I think it's only because I've not been at work since Christmas, if I had still been at work it would have been so different 🙈

@Ducky96 I'm starting to feel nervous now! 😬 I think it's more to do with going into the unknown 🙈 we have decorated at set up the nursery and now I'm in the middle of washing and organising all baby clothes we have up to now, how about you?

beanys · 10/03/2021 14:41

@Ducky96 snap, same date as me! 14th May! Hoping baby comes on that day as my bday is 14th and my sons! It will be our lucky number

Mammamia365 · 10/03/2021 14:59

Hello Ladies :)
I’m currently 30 weeks FTM and I will be trying to pack hospital bag/bags in next 2 weeks, just in case :) Not setting up nursery yet as it is my office and still working from home so we probably will do it after baby arrives. This is getting really real now ...

Ducky96 · 10/03/2021 17:35

@CLeighannHxo how far along are you? I am very organised. Left myself with not much left to be done and I'm furloughed so pretty bored now counting down the weeks!

@beanys due date buddy! Aww I hope little one arrives then as that does sound meant to be!!

AyyX · 10/03/2021 18:48

Hi everyone Smile.
Im pregnant with my second baby and 31+3 today, started to feel more bloated in the last couple weeks, anyone else the same?
Feeling like a big air balloon 😩
I have a baby girl who is almost 15months. Expecting a boy this time and the symptoms were very different to having my girl! Eating way more this time round whereas with my DD I had “morning” sickness all day for around 17 or 18 weeks Sad.
Starting to find it difficult to get up after laying or sitting down now and feeling very heavy.
I’m due on the 9th of May, even though I’ve been through it, I’m still nervous about giving birth again as my last one was overdue 11 days and took ages to come out! I hope this time round it’s quicker Blush

Rascalia86 · 10/03/2021 21:51

@AyyX I know the feeling. I'm 31+5 today, due 7th May. My skin feels so tight over my bump now, uncomfortably so. Mines a girl, and I've been eating loads. I feel like a balloon ready to pop. Bloated, back ache, hip pain, got the lot, and I find I struggled more in the afternoon.
I'm finishing work at 33 weeks because my job is quite physical and my workplace is over 5 floors. 😅

AyyX · 10/03/2021 22:11

@Rascalia86 I’ve been getting a lot of rib pains lately. I would be laying on my right side but then my left ribs hurt? Weird. My left ribs tend to hurt more than my right. Even when I’m not laying down my ribs sometimes hurt Sad. I don’t remember getting much rib pains with my first pregnancy. Also getting sciatica every now and then.

My hands started swelling and getting numb during first pregnancy, this time round my hand does feel stiff sometimes but hasn’t felt numb or swelled much yet. Did anyone else get that? Or was it just feet swelling up?
I had both first pregnancy Sad

So this is a TMI post but I'm a bit worried and wondered if anyone could help

So I just went to the loo and I had loads of CM it's clear and it smells but doesn't smell bad but it soaked right through my underwear and my leggings. I've never had it before is it normal?

Baby has been moving about today. I'm probably just being over cautious oh also I'm 28+3 don't know if that makes a difference

I have stuck a liner in now to see what happens. Has anyone else had this? Is it normal?

Thanks

May2021Mummy · 11/03/2021 10:47

I found this which has made me feel slightly better 🙃

CLeighannHxo · 11/03/2021 11:20

@Ducky96 I am 28w+5d. Once I've finished with all the clothes, I'm gna go through literally every cupboard/drawer in the house to declutter lol, I need to make room in a cupboard for baby bottles etc now 😅 and then I will be doing my hospital bag

@May2021Mummy I can't exactly give you any advice or tell you what it is, as I don't have a clue, but I would just ring and speak to the midwife just to rule anything out.

beanys · 11/03/2021 14:35

@May2021Mummy I have this every day now! Have to wear a liner! Not very nice but pretty sure it's a good sign as it's keeping everything clean down below!

May2021Mummy · 11/03/2021 15:10

@beanys thank you 🙂

CLeighannHxo · 12/03/2021 13:40

I had my 28w scan yesterday, I'm actually 28w+6d.. but anyways.... what was your estimated fetal weight at your 28w scan?

CookieTea · 12/03/2021 14:32

@CLeighannHxo I had my 32 weeks scan today and apparently it's measuring between 50-90% centile. I haven't a clue what this actually means as I was told on my 28 weeks scan that it was at 90% centile but now it seems that it's measuring smaller than expected. Not sure if I'm should be v worried or not 😔 the midwife seems relaxed about it though. It was also head down on my 28 weeks scan but now it's breech and head is up at 32 weeks. 🙈

AyyX · 12/03/2021 15:14

Ooh how comes you guys get 28 and 32 wk scan?
The hospital I’m at are only doing 12 and 20wk scan

My first one I had quite a few because they were keeping an eye on her weight / measurements.

Rascalia86 · 12/03/2021 16:07

I had a private 8 week scan, nhs 12 week and 20 week, and a 28week scan, and I'm due for another next week. I have an underlying condition and am under a consultant so I think that's why I'm given extra scans. My crohns means she could be larger or smaller than normal and potentially early so they're monitoring it. Last scan she was spot on the right size so fingers crossed. 😁

CookieTea · 12/03/2021 16:18

@AyyX I am under consultant care so I think those who have 28 weeks and 32 weeks as well 34/36 weeks scans are to monitor and record.

AyyX · 12/03/2021 16:38

Ohh right! Do you guys get excited when it comes to getting your scans or do you get nervous?
I was so happy to get extra scans in my first Grin

CLeighannHxo · 12/03/2021 16:57

They said to me yesterday that baby is on 50th centile, and it says on my scan report that the estimated weight is 2lb10, I just wondered if that was a 'normal' weight at this stage?
This is my first pregnancy so I'm guessing that's why I'm having scans every 4 weeks from now. I do feel quite nervous before my scans just incase anything goes wrong 🙈

Rascalia86 · 12/03/2021 17:38

At my last scan they said she was in the 50th centre and the chart they plotted it on showed she was pretty much spot on for that point in the pregnancy. If in doubt ring the midwife, thats what I was told to do. She even gave me homework at my last appointment 🤣 getting my hospital bag prepared!
