Oh now I go from relaxing to being all tense concerned about all my friends here.

There is the rah, ready, minxi drama AND the MrsMc, Iampg, beansprout, seaside drama here too....... Oh the whole tension of it, and excitement.........

looking forward to the next few days with great joy anticipated.

minxi · 20/01/2008 21:18

Hi ladies - just wanted to say still over the other side - but one day... thanks for your thoughts and words last few days it does mean alot to us 3 stuck there still.

Good luck to Mrs Mc, Seaside, Iampg and Beansprout this month...I am around just don't like to jump in when not really allowed on this thread!! Can't wait to see the cute babies though....

Bodkin · 20/01/2008 21:56

Phew, haven't missed any babies yet!

Honeyapple - what a great pic of your 3 in the bath! Your DS1 and DD1 look lovely, and as for Dex hmmm.... hard to tell from the pics, but I reckon if he's anything like your other two, he must be just gorgeous! Get a better pic up soon!

Babies and telly - they are shockers aren't they. Isla even loves watching the "DVD" logo floating around on the screen when the DVD is on pause for too long!

That's exciting news about those over on the TTC boards - I'll try not to get too excited on their behalf yet though, it's hard enough trying not to get your hopes up when your TTC!

Rainbow - glad to hear you are having a relaxing time - I thought you were a workaholic! And as for planning No 4 already..... madness

Is it a full moon soon? Apparently significantly more babies are born on afull moon.....

Bodkin · 20/01/2008 21:58

OK, full moon on Tuesday 22nd - hold on to your hats ladies...!

honeyapple · 20/01/2008 22:15

just popping in for a quick check up...

Mrs- I reckon late babies mean good quick labours! My DS1 was early and it was a bit of a marathon... the other 2 were much faster and both 10 days late. Worth waiting for!

Must check out TTC boards...

seaside72 · 21/01/2008 09:02

morning girls
Nothing to report really! - a few strong period cramps in the night - in between my loo visits (like clockwork I now go every 2 hours through the night!) but I think the cramps could be due to the 2 Rasp leaf capsules I take before bed every night??

Re-packed hospital bags last night in readiness for full moon - midwife told me about it last week and says she always has a flurry of activity!!

I am a bit worried that Dave has turned back to back as I can feel these 2 hard lumps high up - one on each side - the one on the right hand side moves a lot like a knee or foot or something? Last night it was quite uncomfortable and digging in everytime I moved?! Wish I could see a little xray of how he is positioned

Mrs is so right - It is like TTC again - constant knicker checking!! I have had quite a bit of discharge all the way through but noticed this am it is a bit more browney?? as opposed to milky white/yellowey but it is certainly not a show - too watery!!

Ok - sorry way too early for that kind of gross analysis - TMI!!

I also have a stupid first timers question - what side is the car seat supposed to go on - behind the passenger seat??

Bodkin - LOL about floating DVD!

honey - hope you are right about the labours!

Iampg - backache sounds promising!!

Off for a cranio sacral sesh - Back later.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

PS - we might need a new thread - I think we need a stats rundown of all births and dates etc!!

PPS Lovely to see you Minxi - you are all welcome here anytime - we miss you! I am going for a sneaky check on TTC

honeyapple · 21/01/2008 09:17

Morning- are you all still intact?

Seaside- never thought about the car seat positioning thing ... I just stick Dex wherever there is space! Most often he is in the front (with airbag off). Or in the middle of the back... thinking perhaps this isnt such a great place, but it stops the argueing between DS1 and DD about who sits next to him!
You will not necessarily have a show- I only had an obvious one with Dex after my sweep- big lump of gelatinous goo! Very weird. Dunno if rasberry leaf tabs would give you cramps- probably some pre-labour stuff which is great. Enjoy your cranio-sarcal session.

Wow- dex slept from 10pm to 8am!!!!! My boobs were like rocks in the morning... felt like I'd just woken up post cosmetic surgery!

will be popping in to check up...

fettleandbabyfettle · 21/01/2008 10:50

I can't keep off mn at the moment! so excited for everyone. so hope somebody is successful ontemp thread, t'was a year ago that 3 of us geaduated within a week of eachother! Although mrs lost her beautiful ava, she's hopefully pushing out little Mcmimi as i type.

seaside - re car seats - when I had only DD, it depended on whether I was alone in car with DD. If poss, she was in front with me, so could keep eye on her, in car with airbag she went behind passenger seat so I could keep a vague eye on her, but when DH was driving she went behind him, so I could see her from front passenger seat!

Took Toby swimming yesterday - he loved it - hopefully take him more regularly now he is 4 months and allowed in our local pool. Got last lot of injections this morning. hoping his cold doesn't make him more ill than the last 2 sets, but he doesn' have a fever.

better get going - back with baited breath later!

Hi Guys

Just popped in to wish Mrs Mc, Seaside, Iampg and Beansprout good luck with their pending births. I'm sure everything will go well and the labour will be quick and painless! Honest!

I've had a quick look at some of your pictures and the nurseries look really beautiful...It won't be long before there are dirty nappies everywhere!

I'll be thinking of you all.

Rah Xx

honeyapple · 21/01/2008 18:24

where is mrs, seaside and iampg??

Perhaps we need to start a new thread as this one is approaching 1000. Especially as Greedy and I have popped a while ago now... Dex was 11 weeks today I think.

iampgatlast · 21/01/2008 19:30

hello ladies im still with bump...but i have got another week to go until my due date so could me a while
the back ache has tailed off a bit now but the constant bloody weeing hasnt! i dont know where all of this fluid is coming from i dont even drink that much!! apart from that all is well dp has now taken my car keys away from me and said he doesnt want me going out alone

honey - my mw said i will have a sweep at 7 days overdue and be sent home and then again at 10 days which will be to get things started in hospital. i am seeing her on my due date so i might see if she can do one then rather than wait another week.
dex looks so cute btw and his brother and sister look absolutely smitten with him!

greedy - thanks for the reassurance on the waterbirth i am actually really excited about giving birth (am i mad??!!)and if all goes to plan should be a lovely experience.

seaside - easy on the cleaning!! what are you trying to do - bring on labour?! i hope when your mum arrives she gives you some well deserved days of rest! my mum is arriving on friday and she constantly goes on about rest but i wonder just how much i get with her actually here!! i am getting the stinging quite a bit too - feels like oscar is running his finger nails down the walls of my womb .

rainbowdays - cant believe you are contemplating number 4 whilst still preggers with number 3!! must be nice tp have them all close together do you find your two get on well?

mrs - hopefully when your house goes on the market this time around people will be flurrying through your door with viewings and offers! how strange that when you googled your name that there is only 1 other and is practically identical! what are the chances?! you really do have to be careful with your condition on blood loss so i guess you just have to trust your carers and go with what is the safest option at the time, are you still injecting daily?
thanks for saying you will be there to help me stay strong with regards to induction - tbh that is the one thing that does actually scare me, having my birth being so medicalised and controlled but hopefully it wont come to that Oscar is going to be good and come out on time.
i tried the breast pump out last night to see if it would stir anything up inside - but i was shocked at the amount of fluid that actually came out!!
glad your dh is being obliging in the old natural prostaglandin department. my dp cant seem to get over his "issues" even though i understand completely why it does actually bother me and make me think what he will be like after the event too - will things go back to normal or just downhill from here sounds like you are doing everything you can to bring on labour - good luck!!

im running out of time to post dp is cooking us a stir fry tonight!!

hello to everyone i havnt personally addressed - i love the support you are all giving and all the helpful advice and tips you experienced mums have all shared - i cant imagine this pregnancy without you all to offload my worries onto. so thankyou everyone i think your all amazing even though i have never met you before in my life!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ((hugs))

good luck to the temping buddies rah, ready and minxi i hope things happen for you super doubley soon xxxxx

mrsmc/seaside - a tip i have gottten from both of my aunties and that has bought o n labour for them everytime the day after is, half a pint of guinness and a strong curry - i will be putting it to the test on friday!

bye all xxxxx

fettleandbabyfettle · 21/01/2008 20:12

New thread title should be TTC graduate sweep stake - MrsMcJnr, Iampgatlast or Seaside72 next???!!!

Iampg - don't worry too much about induction - I was induced with both of mine and it isn't really as bad as you would be led to believe.

On the subject of managed 3rd stage, my community MW here basically said that although it reduces blood loss at the time, you end up losing what you didn't lose during labour over the following few weeks anyway, if that makes sense! Either way I was managed both times, by the time I'd given birth, I just wanted it over ASAP!!! (and while the pain relief endorphins of delivery were still active!!).

big hugs to all (have to go help tidy the house now - I miss those nesting hormones!!!).

sorry this message is all over the place even more than normal cos i tried to post it earlier and everyone keeps adding posts before i get the chance to post mine!!!

anyway......this is in the order i read stuff and NOT order of importance cos OBVIOUSLY the new arrivals are the most important!!! ....but where are they hey!!!

fettle - how times change hey?!!! toby used to do nothing BUT sleep during the day didnt he? marcy still has a nice 2 hour nap at lucnhtime and 45 mins in the morning and 15 mins in the afternoon. she is a real 'she who shall not be named' baby when she gets the chance. most of the time when she gets dragged out and about she manages to sleep when she is meant to as well. we went to the natural history museum yesterday and she was a star all day (except for 10 mins screaming in the car when dh was tryiong to find his way out of london!!................how stressed out did he get?!!). we walked 4 miles in total just going round the museum............can you tell ive got a pedometer?!!! poor dd1 was knackered by the end of it!

honey - so glad you put some pics up, its lovely to see everyones kids

rainbow - how much maternity leave will you take ? will you go back to work this time? is your dh a house husband by the way?

mrs and seaside and iampg - i hope today is your babys birthday!

OMG seaside i have to go and check the temping thread now!!!

i tried to post this message this morning and never got the chance......................

...........still catching up.................seaside - i had a show with all 3 and after lots of knicker checking realised it was pointless.................if your shows are anything like as gruesome and disgusting as mine were you will DEFINATELY know when it has happened!!! although i was having contractions already when i had my shows!

iampg - its not weird you being excited about giving birth at all..............i can remember being REALLY excited first time round and then maybe not QUITE so excited once i knew what to expect the times after! but it IS exciting really.....................you will finally get to meet your beautiful oscar.................oh shit!........im getting broody again!!

Bodkin · 21/01/2008 20:54

Definitely time for a new thread... shall we start it in honour of the first new bubba to be born this time! Who's it going to be , it's sooo exciting!

Iampg - bless you for having a slightly emotional "I really love you lot" moment... I remember me and Fettle having a few of those during our PGs! It's great having people to let off steam though isn't it.

That was a good sleep by Dex there Honeyapple - it's always annoying when the boobs wake you up before the baby does though!

Right, can't stay long, I've got to do some shopping on the interweb, although I'd much rather hang around here and hope a baby (or 3 ) comes along. Like buses

fettleandbabyfettle · 21/01/2008 21:07

bodders - you've set me off!! you've reminded me what am emotional wreck I used to be! Oh I miss being pregnant - might explain why I stalk the conception boards -must stop it, or I'll be joining in myself!!

Why can't i keep off MN today?! Need to get a real life!

You're right, Greeds - Toby did used to sleep all the time - not any more!! Although the last couple of nights he's only woken once about 4-5am, which is better than he has been since Christmas. See what tonight holds with injections and calpol! Although he's been more unsettled after these injections that the last lot - didn't realise he got 3 jabs this time around, poor boy! Shame as he was in a cracking mood this morning. Although to be fair, he was in cracking form this evening too just before bed - laughed his head off during DD's story - not quite sure what tickled his fancy, it was just a counting ladybird book!! Must be the way I tell them!!

Waiting to watch part 2 of Messiah, but DH is on the phone gossiping to a mate, never knew boys did that (it's a girl he's talking to, should I be worried?! not really concerned as he is being a good friend, as her DH walked out on her last summer after 7 years marriage for no apparent reason!).

anyway on that cheery thought, sleep well all. Babies Jan 27th is the best day to be born on!!

just remembered 2 things............fettle i CAN fit into my dress but my 34 fs are still a bit squashed!! wonder what size your boobs need to be to fit in......i reckon once i lose more weight and go back to my normal DD cup i will be ok

and bodders i have put up a recent picture of my monster babe as requested!!!! you cant really see her chins though, she is doing a good job of hiding them!!!

MrsMcJnr · 21/01/2008 21:50
