good morning

midwife was a shambles yet again - she couldnt undertstand why i hadnt seen her for so long and i explained that it was because my appointments fell over xmas and i was told by the surgery that the midwives were not in them two weeks, midwife informs me she was in on 27th dec
on the homebirth front i now have to phone another midwife tomorrow at 5pm to see if she can see me, if not i have to wait another week! its starting to really piss me off being thrown from pillar to post and at every appointment i get told "at your next appt do this and that" so i go to the next appt and the same bloody thing happens! and we move no further forward.

another thing that angered me was when i told the mw i wanted a homebirth (even though she knew) she just looked at me and glared and said whatare the reasons for this? you do realise that pain relief is limited and you have to consider the costs involved if we have to transfer you to hospital by ambulance. I could not believe the cheek she just looked at me like a stupid spoilt little girl who wouldnt be able to manage the pain - well maybe i wont be able to manage the pain but im going to have a damn good go - judgemental cow! i pay my damn taxes and never use the nhs service so if i want a homebirth who the hell is she to stop me based on "costs" and from what i have understood a homebirth is actually cheaper than a hospital birth

so thats how we left it and my next appt isnt until i am 40 weeks - is that normal?! as on my notes its ticked at the back that i should be seeing the mws every two weeks from now on?

im so annoyed with the treatment i am getting and the feeling of being judged by my age - so what if i am 21 i know what i am damn well talking about when it comes to my baby and i want my birth as natural as can be and im not prepared to go into to hospital and fit in with their schedule! but im not holding out much hope now of getting what i want.

Oscar is head down but he isnt engaged at all which is slightly worrying at this time - i really dont want to be induced either!

sorry this post has been very self centred and me me me but just had to let off some steam, off to make some brekkie then il be back!

Morning

Still no sign of Mrsmc??

Seaside- I had my first son when I was 22- sounds ridiculously young now, but at the time I felt old enough. I was fortunate to have done quite a lot by that age- seen a lot of the world etc- so I have never felt that I missed out too much. Most of my friends from school have yet to have babies- so I am the odd one out really. I feel quite different having a baby now- nearly 10 yrs older- in particular that I have more time and am less impatient. I am also enjoying the early days a lot more than I did when I was 22. The shock of sleep deprivation was horrendous then- and I probably resented my son a bit- but he was a terrible sleeper . He had me up every 2 hours for weeks and weeks.

Dex was my first child that I also actually positively chose to conceive! Which makes a BIG difference because I was excited from the moment I took the PG test- rather than being filled with dread and worry! This pregnancy and birth have been quite cathartic for me in this respect.

I may have missed out on some aspects of my youth- several hangovers I have avoided- so perhaps not all bad- but in the future, when my DS1 is 18, I will only be 40... which is quite good- I think he will like this- compared to his friends whose mothers are generally older than me.

I always thought I would have a few children- so starting young has given me this choice, without having to have them too close in age- which would kill me! I admire greedy and rainbowdays for their ability to cope with lots of little ones.

honeyapple · 09/01/2008 10:54

hiya iampg- crossed with you. Sorry to hear you are having such difficulties with MW- where are you based? You should probably have another appointment at 38wks- esp as 1st baby. Have you visited yr hospital? Do they have a birth pool? Dont get too stressed if you cant have the home birth. I advise you try to stay at home for as long as possible when in labour- and just see how you cope. I am sorry to hear you are feeling badly treated due to yr age- thats rubbish. they should be rejoicing that a younger mother is so interested in her birth and baby.

fettleandbabyfettle · 09/01/2008 10:54

Iampg - you vent off on here as much as you like - we've all done it and will continue to do so, I'm sure!! Does sound as if you're not getting the best consistent care in the world. I'm shocked by her response to your request for a homebirth - I thought they were supposed to be working towards offering homebirths to all women? Good on you wanting to go for a natural birth - having been induced twice - I quite like the thought of a relaxing home birth for my nex...oh yes, I'm not allowed another one!!, but if I was, I would love to try a home birth - not sure how DH would like of it though!
Can't help on the appointment side I'm afraid in both my pgs by this stage I had OC and was being seen every other day in hospital and weekly by a consultant.
I wouldn't worry too much about the baby not being engaged - there is still 3 weeks for it to go and it will settle down soon, I'm sure. At least he is head down already!

What's all this excitment with wellies? Should I want some too? I've never actually managed to find wellies to fit, due to my ever so feminine slightly larger than normal calves!

Seaside - yay for hot water!!! Took them long enough to find that out though. Thankfully it sounds a cheapish thing to sort out?! Silky gown sounds lovely - you hang on to those thoughts of glamour. Yummy Mummies mananage it every day - wish I could find the time to put on make-up for the school run. Always feel I'm letting DD down, with my dishevelled appearance!

City - thinking of you lots. Only 2 sleeps to go - how are you feeling within yourself? sick, tired etc?

Well, as for me, I shouldn't have tempted fate in my post a few days ago - Toby has been feeding pretty constantly during the day and every 3 hours through the night! I think it is worse to have such disturbed nights when we had had weeks of sleeping through, as you definitely know what you are missing then!! Anyway, I finally gave in and put him in his big cot in his room last night as he was literally hanging out of the moses basket - arms and legs everywhere but in the basket and I felt it wasn't really helping his sleeping!

Anyway, my lovely little boy, who just self-settled himself in said cot about 15 mins ago, is waking up again, so I'd better go and get him - from a baby who slept all day every day, he's turning more into his sleep-free sister!, who seems to survive on really short power-naps, unless we are out and about when he can sleep for hours still.
I need him to sleep now though, as I have some baking to do for his Christening on Sunday - going to make some yummy fudge for after lunch coffee and as it involves boiling sugar, it isn't safe with either child around [but you can see why my diet isn't starting until later this month - in fact might just wait to start properly until Feb, so I can get my birthday out of the way!!!]

take care all

ps I really do hope MrsMc is ok!

crossed with you honey! Good advice for Iampg!

right he's really screaming now!

OP posts:
iampgatlast · 09/01/2008 11:34

right i am back after my hormonal rant!

bodkin - your cake looks delish!! dont blame you for wanting to buy one next year though - so much hard work. i certainly wont be winning mother of the year award for baking isla is looking soo cute cant believe how fast these babies are growing up it really does just go to show you have to treasure every moment as the time just flies!!

hi seaside! - you are sounding a lot happier than you did before xmas. glad you have got your hot water sorted out now - well nearly!. i only packed my bags the other day just incase and i couldnt have described it better "outer body experience" it was fun though and i also packed a little bag for oscar and i think i did that with a huge smile on my face from start to finish. we have come so far and the time has just flown!this is a bit personal but have you been doing the perineal massage yourself of has dp been helping you? my friend couldnt reccomend it enough to me on the phone but i still cant bring myself to do it im so pleased your dp is excited too - mines like a dog with two tails his whole personality has changed the further along with pregnancy i get, we can be sitting down having a meal and all of a sudden he just comes out with "i cant wait for our son to be born and start our happy little family" which just makes my heart melt as he is normally such a hard person and doesnt show his emotions.
the house is coming along fab! downstairs is literally complete except for the hallway, dp is building the wall today in there so all that is left is our bedroom to do and then onto the garden and conservatory and utility room. he thinks it will be finished by summer sorry your builders arnt pulling their weight they just do what they want when they want

fettle - so glad you enjoyed your holiday! so you are broody for one more? is it a definate no no from dh?

chooster - theo has certainly come along with his food! 3 meals AND a pudding! - he is eating better than me

rainbowdays - congratulations on a boy!! this thread is going to be full of testosterone, how many boys have we got vs the girls?

cityangel - i hope the scan goes well on friday, i remember how nervous i was. i will be thinking of you and cant wait to hear how it goes

hello to everyone i have missed! i read the posts yesterday so probably forgotten a tonne of things that i wanted to say!

hi to beansprout, greedy, honey, and mrsmcjnr whereever you are

i am feeling a bit bad on the nappy front - i have to confess i will be using disposables i know they are bad for the environment etc etc but i just dont fancy putting smelly nappies into my brand new washing machine. maybe on the next baby....

thanks fettle and honey for your advice on the homebirth situation. i am a bit of a control freak and like to have a plan and know whats what,

honey we are in dunstable, my hospital is the L&D.
we went for a tour and they are extremely short staffed its 3 women in labour to 1 midwife. and there is no chance of using the birthing pool there as you have to have a midwife with you at all times and they cannot spare the staff unless the delivery ward was empty.
i have heard some shocking stories about the place although i have also heard some good, its a bit of a lucky dip really. 2 friends have just had babies there and both ended up with ventouse, and forceps. They are quite keen to enforce assisted labour which i want to seriously avoid if i can. This is why we came to the concluson a homebirth was the way to go.

fettle - that fudge sounds yummy!! i am soo going to be getting some recipes from you ladies so i can start my quest of becoming a domestic goddess

i feel happier now i have offloaded my emotions to you girls. thanks for listening.

love to you all xx

honeyapple · 09/01/2008 11:51

Iampg-

3-1 doesnt sound too bad ratio TBH... I'm sure there are worse. Although I did have 2 MW and a student MW with me at home!

Please please please dont get too worried about what will happen. If for the health of your baby you are advised to have forceps etc, then you really have to go with it. I had a forceps delivery with my first, which before I had really hoped to avoid- however at the time I couldnt have cared less what they did to me, I just wanted my baby out safely. you just dont really know what will happen in any labour- be it your first or your ninth! Hope i dont sound condescending- i really dont mean it that way. And you will forget about it all when you have Oscar in yr arms .

iampgatlast · 09/01/2008 12:06

at 3-1 not sounding that bad

you dont sound condescending at all i value your advice and words of wisdom greatly! of course the safety of oscar is number one priority and whatever it takes to get him out safely. i just really want to take the natural approach and i feel that by having a homebirth i am maximising my chances of that happening and whatever else happens i can say i tried.

on another note - i had a breakthrough today with my car incident back in december, i received a cheque from the lady this morning and my car is now booked in for tuesday - could my luck be changing.....??

greedygreedyguzzler · 09/01/2008 17:05

wow! do you lot really think mrs could be in labour??? i think chooster would probably have let us know if she was. and i reckon seaside will be first.......next tuesday i reckon!!!!!!

typical!!! marcy has started screaming as soon as i come on here!!! went to a friends for lunch who was desperate for a cuddle (with marcy, not me1!!) and i (stupidly) let her wake marcy up to give her a cuddle, so now she has been grumpy for the rest of the day!!! oh well........only 2 hours till bedtime!!!!! she has only been going through till 5.30 or 6, so tonight i am DEFINATELY waking her at 10pm (just gets really tempting not to wake her when it gets to that time of night, so i keep leaving her and then regretting it at 5.30 in the morning!!!)

ok..............now have marcy screaming on my lap!!!!! why dont they just fall asleep when they are tired hey?!!! whats all this fuss about!!!AAAAAAAAARRRRGGGGGGGGGHDD she is doing my head in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

back later with a proper post!!!!! off to jiggle her!!!!

greedygreedyguzzler · 09/01/2008 17:20

OK..............BIT OF A JIGGLE and she has zonked out on me!!!!! dont normally let her sleep after 5pm till bedtime, but she was obviously knavkered!

hello firsty - you are very good still managing to post on here. i noticed on the sept post natal thread that lots of the first time mums stopped posting once their babies were out! i hope mrs, seaside and iampg will carry on posting too!

fettle glad you had such a fab holiday. its nice to have extra hands to help isnt it. marxcy hardly cried at all over xmas cos their was always someone to entertain her or pick her up nd now we are back to just me splitting myself 3 ways i feel sorry for her again.

none of mine were ill the other night, i think ds just had a sore tummy from too much food!!! but it really scared me!!! i cant cope with the nights when dh is away......i am such a scaredy cat. your dd1 is truly an athelete isnt she? is it you or dh she takes after?

well, i lost 5lb in my first week of dieting/...............i am really pleased! hope i can keep it up now! i am wearing my pedometer too to try and spur me on a bit!

cant rem who else said what.......good luck with scan city i am sure all will be fine.

sorry for shit post! gotta go mrcy is breaking my back! she weighs a tonne!!(sorry marcy!)

rainbowdays · 09/01/2008 20:07

Wow you are all chatty again now, it is hard to keep up, so I will try to be brief

Cityangel - thinking of you, hope all good news for you this week

Honey - you are not old enough for a nine year old!

Seaside - I travel back home on the 2nd of March, strange as this was the edd of my miscarriage!

Sorry, i am falling asleep here, not due to you lot I hasten to add but due to clerical error I was given a double workload today and had no lunch break. Belly feels huge and heavy too. I will try to be a little more socialabe tomorrow if I get a chance.

:-}

Chooster · 09/01/2008 21:55

Phew - caught up!!! There are some fairly hefty posts there ladies!! Before anything else, just to update you that MrsMc is still 'with child'. I spoek to her tonight and she's just been mega-busy but there are no signs of baby Mac coming out just yet - of course it could all kick off any minute . We've made a tentative plan for a cup of tea and cake (well, I'll skip the cake I guess Greedy ) on Monday unless anything happens to change that. Oooh, its GREAT having new babies on here - . Good luck to everyone who is waiting in the final stages .

Got to say Iampg you sound very prepared and clued up about the birth you want which is brilliant - such a shame that the maternity services are letting you down . They should be pleased to be delaing with someone so keen and enthusiastic. Great news about the car - that must be a big weight off your mind.... And well done to DP for getting your place ready - he must have really put the hours in. I love what you say too about when he goes all mushy . Babies have a way of making even the toughest men big softies .

So, Greedy you've already lost 5lbs - WELL DONE!!! I've been CRAP a my diet, not so bad t day but we've just got so much chocolate lying around the house from xmas and NY. And DS1 wasn't best pleased at going abck to nursery yesterday so I baked him a big choc cake, which naturally I had to try . BUT, I have been quite good at the excercise bit. I've been out walking for an hour in the evenings a few times and have been on my cross trainer as well the last 3 evenings. I'm just getting a bit dis-illusioned about ever getting shot of the wobbling mass that is my tummy . But, I will perservere!!!!! I can't believe the size of you DD's!! Are they bigger than DS at the same age? My DS1 is like Honeyapple's DS1 - he can still wear 2 year old trousers, they may be a little short but perfect round the waist. Glad the DC's weren't ill when DH was away. My DH is going away for 3 nights in a few weeks and I'm not really looking forward to it...

Honeyapple - so sorry to hear that Dex had been suffering - poor wee soul, but he does seem to coping really well. I know I wouldn't be so brave....

Welcome back again fettle and congrats on having a warm house again! Hope Toby settles again soon.

Rainbow - sorry you are on your travels again but time will fly by and you'll be home for ages soon. I bet your DC can't wait to have you around more. Where are you at the moment?

Arrrgh, Bodkin nappy rash is the pits isn't it, its so hard to shift but hopefully the pampers will do the trick. Great to hear she is muching on toast, I tried some with Theo but he just kept dropping it. He's still a star with his food on gtried lentils for the first time today and loved it, although I think I've over 'lentilled' him as he's a bit windy . Congrats again on the cake - my cake was a bit of a disaster because I tried to melt some chocolate to put on the top but once it was melted I had to see The and then when I came back it had gone a bit hard again and wouldn't re-melt - does chocolate only melt once??? I guess it would have helped if I'd used cooking chocolate .

Phew, I'm running out of steam here!! I may need to come back again tomorrow... All is well here though, both boys have been sleeping since 7pm and could I possibly hope for my first through the nighter tonight??? [hopeful emoticon] - not a bloody chance . You are right Honeyapple, I dont think Theo needs the milk in the night but he drinks loads and I can't quite bring myself to deny him at the moment. I am sending DH in like you Bodkin to calm Theo and its really working well, but I think he gives in a little too quick and calls for the milk monitor . He's got a big exam on monday so I'm going to let him off the next few nights and may tackle Theo's night feeding in a couple of weeks.

Anyway, best go... Speak soon xxx

Chooster · 09/01/2008 22:01

Sorry for all my usual spelling errors! I'm so out of the habit of typing now I'm away from work.

Good luck for Friday City!!! I really really hope its a wonderful experience and provides you with the re-assurance you need

Bodkin · 09/01/2008 22:35

Cor - so much to say, and I must get to bed early, so will be brief(and type really badly)!

Greedy - 5lbs? That is absolutely fantastic!!! Way to go! Know what you mean about it getting to this time of night and not wanting to do a feed. now Isla will take a bottle, I keep saying, right, I'll do a dreamfeed of formula to see if she goes through, but it gets to this time of evening, and I jsut cnat be bothered with the faff, and what if she wakes and wont' go back to sleep? She did go through until 5 again last night (well, she squawked a bit at 2am, but I was so tired I couldn't get out of bed, and she stopped after about 5 minutes - hoorya)

Honeyapple - Result on the wellies! Aren't they lovely and "spongy" and comfy Mine ahve already been well used.

Iampg - sorry to hear your MW has been less than encouraging about the HB. Round my way they're practically begging people to have them! As you have had (I think, but I may be wrong) a fairly straightforward pregnancy it seems unfair that she is being so negative about it. Stick to your guns if that is what you want. If at anytime you change your mind - even in the early stages of labour, you can always go to the hospital. lovely to hear your DP is so excited about Oscar's arrival

Firsty - wow - you and Chooster do have big lads dont you! Isla is still comfortably in 3-6 month stuff (in fact, some of it is still 0-3 months!) Sorry to hear Ty's sleeping has gone AWOL- hope it sorts itself out soon!

Cityangel - good luck for Thursday and Friday!

Fettle - You really are broody aren't you My broodiness has DEFINITELY left the building! Glad your boiler is sorted at last. Impressed at your little penguin skiing! Sounds like you had a fab time.

Seaside - another vote for Motherease onesize here, although really, unless Dave is absolutely mahoosive, they are too huge for newborns, better after about 3 months. Good excuse to use disposables until you get the hang of things a bit!

OK, gotta go to bed! Just to say, went to get Isla weighed yesterday (First time since she was about 4 weeks old ) Was a bit worried about getting a bollocking from the HV, esp as am a bit worried Isla's on the small side, but HV was lovely. Isla is 14lb 9oz, which seems tiny to me (9th centile now, she was on the 50th to start with) When I asked HV if that was a worry, she said "Naaah, just look at her, she's gorgeuos and happty and healthy, and you've done really well to BF for the full 6 months" Wasn't that nice. I nearly cried (good tears, not sad tears )

Hope MrsMc is OK, the suspense is killing me!

Hello to everyone else that I've missed - will catch up properly soon

Bodkin · 09/01/2008 22:39

Crossed with you Chooster. My typing was MUCH worse than yours

I really am going to bed now!

fettleandbabyfettle · 10/01/2008 10:07

Hi all

Come on here to cheer myself up - latest problem with our lovely 3 year old house, is that something (probably the shower) is leaking and there are damp patches on the sitting-room ceiling - it is never-ending this house-owning. don't know how all you lot have done it for so long! Give my an army landlord anyday!!! (But then I have to cope with DH being away for months on end - thank goodness not currently. My BF's husband is off on active service in 2 weeks and they have a 3year old and 7 month old. I really don't know how I'd cope with my 2 alone for 6 months!)

Anyway, our house problems are making me realise that we really need me to go back to work, as although we could survive on DH's salary, when we have to fork out huge amounts on the house and garden, it would be good to have some extra in the bank. But (now don't be shocked ladies!), I just don't want to go back to work. Thinking about it lots at the moment. I think mentally Christmas was between me and any decisions and now that's past, the decision time is looming... Anyway, I won't bore you all with my issues anymore.

Glad to hear that MrsMc is doing ok - can't believe how soon wee McMac is due. But then I can't believe Toby is 16 weeks old now!

Yup, i'm scarily broody, but I don't want anymore children. DD is being devil child towards Toby at the moment and I just couldn't cope with more children, but I just seem to absolutely love Toby as a baby (I'm sure I'll love him as he grows older, but I'm in floods of tears putting away his 0-3 (and some 3-6) month clothes already. His moses basket looks sad and empty now he's back in his cot. But......he slept through again last night!! (well settled at 7pm, woke at 10pm for a feed, then woke at 5 and 6am, but both times by the time I got to him, he was happily sucking his thumb, so I decided to leave him to it and finally got him at 7am). It probably won't happen again, but it is nice to know that he can do it still! He's been grumpy all morning though and is still asleep now from the school run (normally only has 30 min nap around 8.30am).

Iampg - was it you feeling guilty about disposables? I was too, but I find the Nature nappies work really well - have as many leaks with pampers and huggies as I have with them and they apparently are completely biodegradable apart from the sticky-tabs. They are more expensive, but then so does everything it seems that is environmentally friendly! Also your 3-1 ratio made me realise that being induced does have it advantages, as you can't be left at any time once you are in active labour, so with both mine I had at least 1 midwife with me (with Toby I had a MW and a student MW, so there were 2 of them at all times).

Greedy - 5lbs that's fantastic - there'll be nothing left of you before long! (smugly fettle says she's lost 2lbs since coming back from holiday, without even trying!). Must start a TTC graduate weight-loss support group once I start properly after the weekend! Your girls are massive aren't they?! I thought DD was huge, but at 111cm now she's not really much taller than your DD who is nearly a year younger!

Toby is nicely on the 91st centile for his height (66cm). His weight is falling under the 50th (he had been following the 75th curve), but like you Bodders, the HV was really nice and said he looked fit and healthy and big for 16 weeks, so not to worry.

Chooster - yummy chocolate cake - you've made me the scientist want to do an experiment on whether non-cooking chocolate can melt twice! They must do something to cooking chocolate to make it more melty!

Rainbowy - look after yourself. You're working too hard by the sounds of it. They really should spread the spy work around better!!

Firsty - glad to hear all well with you and Ty - I'm sure his sleeping will sort itself out with time. The change in routine that is forced by Christmas may well have made a difference to him, but he'll settle back into a routine quite easily I'm sure.

Right - must write my shopping list for food for Sunday, which I was supposed to be doing instead of sounding off here!

xxx

Just a quick post between spy duties !! I am currently in Sunny Somerset, or rather wet and windy Somerset, but hey, when you are indoors working it is all the same really.

I am feeling like my stomach is about to explode and this little boy won't stop punching me.... argggg, why oh why did I think I enjoyed this part of pregnancy before!!!!! Oh well, the joys of it all. Fettle - hope you can remind yourself of the horrible bits of pregnancy when the broodiness hits and not get carried away with the mood

greedygreedyguzzler · 10/01/2008 16:02

chooster - i HAVE to do well on my diet cos i have told just about the whole world that i was going tpo start it! i am very strict when i set my mind to it, and i do feel in the right sort of mood at the moment. i love weight watchers too cos it means i can still drink!!! realised the other day that i have drunk every single night since marcy was born!!! is that bad?? my dds are big aren't they?!! havent had marcy weighed now since her 8 wk check but i am going to take her on friday if i remember. i am sure she will be over 16lb which is much bigger than my 0other two at the same age. my ds is tall and skinny now, but not hugely tall like dd1, just above average. thanks for updating us on mrs! you will let us know any news if she doesnt wont you!!

i have been squeeking toys at rattling things at marcy whilst typoing and reading your posts........and she is finally getting bored! i guess there is only so much they can take hey? she has been a lot less chilled and smiley for the past week for some reason. last night i had a horrible 15 mins where she just screamed and screamed while the other 2 were eating dinner. i couldnt go and bath her cos i couldnt leave them eating on their own and i couldnt feed her cos i had no sterilised bottles cos she doesnt normally need feeding at that time and i ended up getting SOOOOOOOOOOO stressed. poor ellis and kiki had me yelling at them to hurry up and marcy just yelling in general..............definately one of my worst tea/bath times so far! i cried when i finally got the bottle in her mouth and she stopped screaming!

bodders - glad you HV was nice to you and made you feel good. i got dh to feed marcy last night at 10.30 and she slept from then till the morning, so i think we are going to stick with doing that for a while. it was because my other 2 had both dropped that feed by now i assumed she should too, but if we cut it out she only goes till 5.30ish. dh doesnt seem to mind doing that feed anyway, especially as sometimes he doesnt see her all day.

my ds is loving big school!!!! he is so full of it when he gets home! i wait till bedtime and then we have a lovely chat about what he has done. he doesnt mind telling me at bedtime cos it means he can stay up a bit later! last night he was cracking me up cos he is such a fidgetpants that all the time he is telling me stuff he is rolling around his bed and walking his feet up the wall and doing roly polys and its really hard to concentrate on what hes trying to say! doesnt sound at all funny, but it really is!!!

OMG! i have got a REALLY strong feeling that seaside is going to pop REAALY soon!!! i hope so!!!!!! cant wait to see pics of dave!!! and oscar and minimrs!!!

fettle - if it makes you feel better...our house is crap too!!! our loft has gone really mouldy and most of the stuff in it is covered in mould too....its disgusting dh is convinced it is something to do with our extension we had. ds also got a mouldy patch on his wall and there is one in our new dining room. its CRAP!!! just as well i'm not sensitive about my girls weights!!! you called them massive!!! the cheek of it!!! dd1 used to be REALLY fat!!! now she is in proportion at least!! and yes, good idea about a TTC graduate weight loss thread!!! i need people to talk to about it!! i have been wearing my pedometer which tells me how many points i earn a day and how many steps i have done!!! last night before i went to bed i was determined to get it up to 15,000 steps so i was marching round the house like an idiot cleaning my teeth!!! i think dd1 was pleasantly suprised when i said i WOULD go to the disco with her this morning and do some dancing!! normally i say i am busy doing something else!!! (disco is in ds's room with the lights turned off, and the keyboard on repeat demo BTW!!)

my broodiness has gone for the moment. dont think i could physically cope with anymore.....sorry rainbowdays, i know you dont want to hear it, but i am exhausted most of the time!!! hopefully you have more energy than me to deal with 3 little ones! is your ds at school fulltime yet?

OK greedy you are scaring me now!! I am sure he is going to be overdue by at least a few days - I have had nothing so far just a couple of teenie tiny period pains, blink and I would have missed them.

I am not ready yet - have estate agents to meet, appointments and loads of bills and paperwork to do next week so he had better not come early!!!

I really think Mrs is going to pop first and we have a sure thing with beansprouts cs!

Cityangel - today is the day, I hope that you come back online soon to tell us all good news, thinking of you.

Greedy - no I don't want to hear that three littlies is tiring!!!! But my sister had three - all 3years and under, and her dh was away with the forces most of the time in those early years so - if she can do it, I can too, is my philosopy. Her three are wonderful teenagers now, each night I go home to her house now all she says is "just you wait" as I sit giggling at the comedy show of 3 teenagers in a house! As for you, well done on the losing weight, and I hope Marcy returns to her angel status really soon.

Seaside - it is getting so close now, but those early twinges can go on for ages. I am sure that your lo will co-operate and arrive late for you!

Hi to everyone else.
