I agree fettle! Greedy will definitely be crossing the finishing line first .

Watched that bringing up baby pg earlier... that women has gotten even more horrendous. Imagine having a lovely night out with DP/DH whilst your 10 day old babies are left screaming... what a lovely idea .

Greedy- hoping you will already be at least 3 cm dilated when you have the sweep .

Just picked up DD from school and she has gone to bed for a nap! She told me to wake her up for some lunch in a bit. Big school is really taking it's toll.

greedygreedyguzzler · 05/10/2007 14:25

GUESS WHAT................?????

honeyapple · 05/10/2007 14:36

What????

honeyapple · 05/10/2007 14:38

Oh... just read your other thread Greedy... what a bummer... wasnt there somebody else who could do the sweep? Another MW?

greedygreedyguzzler · 05/10/2007 14:41

sorry honeyapple! yes, my stupid *ucking midwife phoned in sick! HOW DARE SHE!!! i am SO pissed off esp as she didnt see me last week either. she really is crap!

Bodkin · 05/10/2007 14:50

sorry to hear that Greeds... what a bummer.

no time to do proper post, just checking for any Greedy news. keeping fingers crossed that it won't matter that sweep was cancelled and bubs arrives by the end of the weekend

Nice thread title by the way!

fettleandbabyfettle · 05/10/2007 17:45

Oh greedy - that's awful!!! I bet you hit the roof - wouldn't have wanted to be the person who told you!!! Better let DH have another go tonight at a DIY sweep? Bet he'll love you being in labour during the rugby tomorrow!!

Just took Toby into work to see everyone - so much has happened in the short 6 weeks since I went on mat leave - quite excited bout going back, but thats another 8 months from now, so will no doubt change my mind loads - don't want to ever leave Toby at the moment!!!! But I feel more human today - contact lenses and make-up!!

Chooster - going to do it! I am going to have some alcohol tonight!!!! Cant remember but is champagne really bad in breast milk - does it go fizzy???

take care all - especially Greedy

evening all

Well I have just enjoyed a gorgeous hot bubbly bath whilst DS read DD stories and put her to bed! Sometimes my son is amazing!

Also after all this booze talk, I opened a tiny bottle of french white beer and supped it with mucho pleasure... until a midge flew in it.

Am now at rather a loose end... kids asleep, DP in Spain boozing no doubt with his dad and there's nothing to watch on TV.

Just read a thread about the NSPCC being contacted re that baby programme...

anyway, Greedy- hope you have started having contractions,
and

Fettle- enjoy your booze, you deserve a glass or two .

fettleandbabyfettle · 05/10/2007 21:05

Honey - don't you watch ugly betty - givr it a go - very funny!!!!

enjoying champagne!!!!

sleep well all

Hi everyone!

We are all doing fine, hopefully getting there now, but still v-busy busy busy in this house, so trying to get into a routine, Connie is a very good baby but still feeds every 3 hours around the clock, bless! I did a PND questionnaire last week with HV and I'm boarder line for PND and I was feeling so good too, but once Connie sleep's though the night everything will be fine and dandy! Doctor's are p!ss!ng me of£ big time still had NO post-natal check, and Connie's still hasn't had her 6-8 week examination or first jab's I ended up having an arsey conversation with them and demanded an app for her jabs as she'll be 9 weeks on Tuesday, which I got and now will be on Tuesday! Oh and big news she can move around the floor too (she puts her heals down and pushes off and after doing that afew times she ends up on the other side of the room) and laughs, smiles and talk's baby talk to you, she'll tell you all her woes if you let her LOL! Any way enough about me how is every one?

Really relly must change my name as I really dont have a bump any more (already back in my size 12 jeans and skirts ) and I've finely stoped bleeding, yay!!

Babymadxx

BuggyMad2blue1pink · 05/10/2007 21:28

Right! changed name YAY! Thank God, do you like????

BuggyMad2blue1pink · 05/10/2007 21:29

Very fitting anyway, as I brought ANOTHER new pram/pushchair this week !

Chooster · 05/10/2007 21:43

Love the new name Babymad (good to hear from you) and very at you getting into your pre-pregnancy clothes. I was doing OK but everything is still a wee bit tight . So have bought a pair of jeans in the next size up to tide me over. I MUST be out of them by xmas though!!! . Wow, blody hell, I can't believe Connie is so advanced for 9 weeks. I'm still thrilled if Theo smiles at me

Ahh, Greedy - so sorry you had your sweep cancelled - bloody cheek!!! She'll be out soon enough (Selfishly I hope before I got to Centreparcs on monday ) but I know thats no consolation right now. Fingers crossed for you

Hi to everyone els - I've kind of lost track of Ugly Betty Fettle - I enjoyed it but then missed a few weeks and no longer watch. I may try again as its a new series isn't it?

Honey - Your DS sounds wonderful and he (and DD) will no doubt be a massive help when DS2 is born. Hope you are having a lovely relaxing evening.

Anyay off to bed for me - am knackered! Theo didn't really settle after 5am today so am a bit sleepy. Of course it was the one day this week that Max has slept until 8am!! Grrr - its almost like they agree who will be the one to get up early each day

greedygreedyguzzler · 05/10/2007 22:15

fettle - dh is welsh so he wouldn't mind about the rugby!!! he wants to see the grandprix on sunday though, so apparently labour is off the cards then!! enjoy your wine fettle......i cant wait to get pissed!!!! got my champagne in the fridge and it has been there for about 3 weeks now!!! might actually get to drinkit one day!!

hello buggymad - glad all is going well with you all. like the new name!

chooster - its still early days to be getting back into prepg clothes...........these women like bodders and buggymad just aren't normal!!!

i hope firsty comes back soon!!! she can sympathise with me properly about going overdue, not like all you 38 weekers!!!!!!

honeyapple - what a star your ds is!!! what are your plans now that your homebirth time has arrived? what do you plan to do with dc if labour starts? are you going to let them be involved or get someone to look after them somewhere else?? (i dont mean this weekend, cos obviously that wouldnt be great timing for you)

randomly 'met' someone on here who was due the day before me and is still waiting and will be going to the same hospital as me!!! mumsnet is great isn't it?!!!

went for a gorgeous tapas meal out earlier with dc and dh. it was lovely! finished eating at 7.15 so hopefully heartburn wont be too bad tonight either!!

i am now thinking that my baby is a boy and they got it wrong at the scan..................

bit of an all over the place post, sorry!!

BuggyMad2blue1pink · 05/10/2007 22:15

Thanks chooster! I've also added more pic's!

seaside72 · 06/10/2007 12:10

Just popping in for a greedy update ??? The sun is blazing down here and I am keeping everything crossed that you are enjoying it through the hospital window greeds!!

Will try and get back later for proper post and catch up - at the moment DH and I are trying to deal with a small visitor in the form of a mouse who has decided to make a home in our bedroom eaves - great !! arghhh.

honeyapple · 06/10/2007 14:31

Afternoon, hows it going?

Greedy- no proper 'plan' as yet for DC in regards to home birth- depends on what time of day/ day of week... cos they might be:
a) in bed
b) at school
or
c) downstairs playing a very long board game... maybe i should go and get Monopoly or something
or
d) my mum or MIL will whisk them off to the park/cinema/indoor playzone...

Getting quite paranoid that I will go into labour this weekend whilst DP is away .

honeyapple · 06/10/2007 14:32

lovely pics Buggymad .

fettleandbabyfettle · 06/10/2007 16:07

I'm tired!! So wanted to have a nap this afternoon, but DH seemed incapable of looking after 2 DC while watching the rugby - so I got about 10 mins before waking up to shouting downstairs! GRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Poor DD was just bored, so I quickly got her colouring and Toby needed his nappy changing!

DH has been pretty apologetic since, but doesn't escape the fact that I'm shattered and can hardly function - thank goodness my Mum is coming back tomorrow, and she's more understanding to the need for naps for a breastfeeding mother who's up 2-3 times a night!!! DH is away with work from 5.30am on Monday until late Thursday evening, so I'll need the help with DD in the mornings next week!

anyway, sorry for a me me me post - just needed to unwind to someone without causing WWW3 in the fettle household!!!!

Greedy - sorry nothing is happening yet - keep logging on here to check up on you, but that's probably as pissing off as people texting you all the time asking if anything has happened!

Honey - I can understand your worry about this weekend - when is DP back? Do you have an emergency birthing partner? If you're having a homebirth - maybe we can all help support you through the wonders of the internet!!! Do you have a webcam?!

Take care all

hi! still here!!!

dont worry fettle - you are allowed to have a bad day. all will seem better when your mum gets back!

cant wait for my mum to get back. she has been away for the weekend so our childcare plans are a bit up in the air if i do go into labour! once she is back (officially she said she is back on call from 2am monday morning!!!) then i will be more relaxed.

actually wrote a few things down on my birth plan earlier......it dawned on me that i hadn't done it and i thought maybe that was why baby was staying put!!! daft i know!!!

oh well, off for a bit of a doze............sorry fettle!

honeyapple · 06/10/2007 16:56

Hi Fettle and Greedy,

I havent even entertained the idea of a different birthing partner other than DP. Really dont fancy anyone else. I am close to my mum... but think she would annoy me as a birthing partner by trying to be too helpful! Or telling me again how she had no drugs for her labours and just hummed baa baa black sheep over and over again!

Fettle- sorry to hear you are feeling shattered, hope Toby starts sleeping a bit longer for you soon.

Greedy- it will happen! I wonder what the record of going overdue is? My MW said that by 42 weeks they would prefer to induce, but that she was happy to let the PG go on naturally if baby was happy!

fettleandbabyfettle · 06/10/2007 17:43

yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - I've just had an hour's nap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Amazing how much better I feel now - do you think DH is still reading this - don't think he is!!! He took DC for walk to shops and sent me to bed!

Hope you are enjoying your naps while you can, you two!!! Not Toby not sleeping that is stopping my naps, but DH and DD winding eachother up!!!! All peaceful again in the fettle house - hopefully DD will go to bed early as it is strictly come dancing tonight!!

Honey - I know what you mean, I love my mother dearly, but never really considered anyone other than DH as a birthing partner! When DH fainted and the MWs thought he wasn't up to supporting me during the rest of my labour, I felt a bit lost! They then said, did we have anyone to call to support DH!!!! I really didn't want any of his friends joining us in the delivery room!!!!!

Well greedy - I'll stop thinking birthing vibes until 2am on Monday!!!

Hi all

Fettle - good to hear that you have had an hours nap! I am down your way at weekends...

Greedy - I will come and visit anytime!

Honey - hot bubbly bath sounds heavenly.

Babymad - well done on losing the bump already.

I am currently in Kent, Monday I go to work in Portsmouth and at weekends I will be heading west to Somerset/Devon to visit relatives etc. So I am going to be covering the whole of the Southcoast over the next few months. It looks like I might be working in Portsmouth at least until Christmas!!! So with my dh and kiddies so far away I will need as much contact from you guys as possible. Please anyone who would seriously be good enough to meet up with me (anywhere south england!) please email me on thingingoftrying at yahoo.com Thank you!

fettleandbabyfettle · 06/10/2007 21:16

What you doing down this far Raimbowy? Forgooten whereabouts home is for you - you really not seeing family til Christmas?? Poor you.

I'm so nosey!!

Greedy/Honey - how you both doing? Hanging in there still? I'm being subjected to my 2ng rugby match of the day!!!
