I havent watched that yet Bodders- have recorded it and was planning to watch it in a minute... it will probably set me off... I am crying at everything at the moment. I am particularly addicted to 'Home grown babies' on living Tv at 10am... all about home births... but always makes me blub!

Have been just looking for a new toaster on the internet as mine has just decided to not work. Is it worth buying an expensive Dualit type one? That is the quesiton of the morning... of course I wouldnt be able to tell DP how much it cost!
Any opinions on toasters most appreciated!

Re your mum and dad... similar situation with my ILS... FIL had split up with his 2nd wife, and MIL had finished with her long term on/off fella.

Toasters - we've just got a great new one, but I can't remember what type - but has ability to raise up bottom more depending on whether you are toasting normal bread or small things like crumpets/bagels so no more burnt fingers or knives down toasters to get those little things out as they never pop up enough!! Wasn't too expensive. However, the dualit ones are very cool!!! Our one is a morphy richards one.

Mum's birthday today, so off out for coffee/lunch in mo.

My parents split up about 11 years ago (dad had affair), but mum fought for him back and they are now more happily married than before - but each to their own!!

Hi Fettle- enjoy your day with your mum. Lovely to hear that your parents are now happy together. I am very lucky as my parents are totally happy... infact a bit sickeningly so! They are a hard act to follow.

Well I think those Dualit ones are quite good - one of my BFs has one and I always lust after it a bit when we stay at hers. Our toaster is rubbish - don't get one like ours where it doesn't toast the whole piece of bread fully, so you ahve to turn it around halfway through cooking - then forget, leave it in too long and burn it...

I can't bring myself to speculate whether Greedy is actually having her baby, because she will be so cross with us when she comes on here later and says "Noooo, of course I haven't had it yet - you lot are worse than the constant phone calls"

Honeyapple - I quite miss being an emotional wreck now I'm not pg. I liked welling up to every other song they played on radio 2!

MW was good... everything fine... dont need to make another appointment now unless I go over my due date .

Have just inflated my gym ball (bored from BIL) so will have some fun bouncing around on that later tonight .

Bodders- do you think Greedy would be so cruel as to not come onto MN today?

Have to tell you something ? no laughing!!! DH and I were talking in the car on the way home from work the other night about the AN classes, Dads to be classes etc and wondering if we?d see the same people that we?ve seen at the other AN things so far ? then DH just blurts out that he?d slept with the girl who?d sat on my left in the Nappy Demo (who had also been in our Group for the Physio class!) not only that but he went out with her for a month or so about 8 years ago and said she was a psycho! it does make sense when I think about it as she was really frosty but won?t it be my luck that she is in all my classes and probably ends up in the bed next to me! I guess if we lived in DH?s old stomping ground you could understand it but we live in a different county!!! ?.. no laughing I said!!!

Firsty - poor you and the colds - Toby has a mild one, but still able to breathe through his nostrils a bit, which is good - not looking forward to sucking it out al a Honey!!

i am here..................and FINALLY so is baby Marcy!!!

you were right fettle yesterday was the day!!! 10/10/07!!! 4.29pm and she weighed 8lb 9 1/2oz!

started having very mild contractions yest morning at 4.30am and so rang my mum at 7am to say "get your arse over here" in case it all sped up, but thenit seemed to stop when she got here, so took dd to the park and marched around like a loon and went on the swing to try and get things going again and it seemed to work! contractions were about 20 mins apart by 12pm and we went into hospital about 1.30pm. discovered they have a birthing unit which was lovely and i got to use. contractions got REALLY bad by about 3pm and i THINK the screaming started about 3.30!!!!! i don't EVER remember it hurting that much before!!!!!!! but then she is a lot bigger than my other 2 with a much bigger head!!! i have NEVER made noises like that before either!!!!!! done all the normal grunting before, but never sobbing between contractions and screaming and wailing!!!!!! i dont know what the mw made of me!!!!!!!

i said a horrible horrible thing once she was born too!!! when the mw asked if we had a name i said we hadnt decided on a final choice but we should call her bitch cos she hurt me so much!!! then i decided maybe we should just make her middle name 'bitch'..................i completely forgot that i had said that and the mw came and reminded me later on!!! GREAT!!!!

ANYWAY!!!!! FINALLY she is here and gorgeous, and NOT a bitch at all!!!! but she did hurt me ...............and i dont know why i always decide to be tough and do it without pain relief cos i always regret it and wish i hadnt!

came home last night about 10.30pm and cracked open the champagne!!! but had to go back in today to get disharged properly and have her paediatric check and hearing check done..........which took ages! my mum has just taken ds and dd1(!) back with her so now its just me, dh and little ol' marcy!!! hopefully we can get a bit more kip tonight, but we will see!!! i think BF is tough!!! shame my nips aren't!!!

ok.........cant do this feeding and typing lark v. well! this post has taken me AGES to type!!!

Fantastic news Greedy!!! Same weight as Toby exactly! Does really hurt doesn;t it? Didn't you even have gas and air? Should have gone for the morphine based drugs - they're great!!! You'll have forgotten it in a few days from now!

Fettle- cant get the blooming gym ball of my DC! Have been 'nesting' like crazy today... emptying cupboards etc... NOT like me at all! DP was a bit shocked by my sudden enthusiasm for tidying when he came home tonight.
