Thanks for the new thread @Treaclepie19! And will be so brilliant to stay having baby news - the pregnancy is beginning to drag just a tiny bit! 😄

SkyBlue20 · 19/08/2020 14:06

Hi all! Don’t know if it’s weird or not that I’m still keeping up with this thread (🤷🏻‍♀️🙈😂) but I just wanted to see how you were all getting on and am looking forward to the good news when babies start arriving! Sorry to hear this last stretch is so tough for most of you, not too long to go now. Feels like it’s flown by since those early threads but can imagine you maybe feel different, especially at the moment!
Anyway, just wanted to say hello and good luck for the coming weeks, will be sending all sort of positive thoughts your way xx

MrsD1990 · 19/08/2020 14:20

@Treaclepie19 omg this might be the thread where babies start to arrive!! How exciting!!

@SkyBlue20 I absolutely love hearing from you!! Definitely not weird you're still keeping up with the thread. How are you doing?

@LostinAusten2 we've been pregnant all year and it definitely feels like it 😂

MrsK89 · 19/08/2020 14:25

Thank you for the new thread.
Yep any new itching, let the midwife know. I have been diagnosed with obstetric cholestasis. I only had mild itching on my hands and feet, but they sent me for bloods the same day. I have to weekly bloods and ctg and on medication once a day. Currently waiting for my bloods right now.

Eeek! How exciting, can't wait to hear everyone's baby news 😁

Treaclepie19 · 19/08/2020 14:31

Definitely not weird @SkyBlue20!!! How are you doing?

Buzz22 · 19/08/2020 14:35

I know it's been covered a lot already in previous threads but I'm so unorganised I havent done my hospital bag yet!
So my question is what has everyone packed for them and baby?

SkyBlue20 · 19/08/2020 14:40

Haha thanks @MrsD1990 @Treaclepie19, I feel like some sort of weird stalker just creeping on the thread 😂

I'm good, thanks, actually 10+2 pregnant at the mo with two healthy scans under my belt at 8+4 and 9+6 and got my 12 week scan date through today. Despite the healthy scans I'm nervous for the 12 week one for obvious reasons but hopefully this one will stick 🤞🏼 Not loving the first trimester nausea and tiredness all over again but needs must!

Treacle81 · 19/08/2020 14:40

Thankfully loads of us the same regarding hospital bag etc, I just cannot be bothered with that or washing everything if perfectly honest. I'm hoping I get a big want for it soon but for now, it can wait!! @NWnature I defo will be doing it but think it's not until like 36 weeks so a while yet. The perineum doesn't stretch and I would really like to avoid another episiotomy so I will be trying everything to soften it. God just been so ratty past two days, feel for my poor partner. Just cried in his arms and fell asleep for an hour. Bloody hormones xx

Treacle81 · 19/08/2020 14:43

Thanks for new thread @Treaclepie19 I posted this on last one till I noticed! Oh wow congrats @SkyBlue20 so buzzing for you!!! So when are you due? ❤️xx

CouscousEvaporator · 19/08/2020 14:48

Hi @SkyBlue20 how are you? X lovely to “see” you!

@Buzz22 I have a small rucksack for baby.
3 newborn vests
3 newborn sleepsuits
3 0-1 month sleepsuits (in case she’s big!)
Cotton wool
22 nappies (one pack)
Some tiny socks 🥰
Swaddle blanket
2 hats (I heard the first one gets gunky)
Bepanthen
4 muslins

For me, I’ve packed in case I need to stay overnight but hope I’ll be discharged after 6 hours....
Going home clothes (breastfeeding dress and leggings)
Maternity pads (20)
Big knickers 😆
2x nursing bras and some pads
Flip flops
Bikini
Towel
Pjs
Ear plugs and eye mask (in case I’m induced)
Earphones
Charger
Fluffy Socks (I used to have very cold feet, not so much these days...)
Paracetamol
Travel sized toiletries
Flannel for cool water
1L bottle
Face/body wipes

I think that’s most of it...

LexiM · 19/08/2020 14:48

Thanks @Treaclepie19

@SkyBlue20 lovely to hear from you. I am thrilled to hear your news and hope your 12 week scan goes well for you and the morning sickness doesnt last long xx

CouscousEvaporator · 19/08/2020 14:48

@SkyBlue20 ahhh congratulations ❤️❤️

otterbaby · 19/08/2020 14:53

@SkyBlue20 aww I thought I saw you post in another thread about being pregnant but didn't want to say anything. Congratulations ❤️

MrsD1990 · 19/08/2020 14:56

@SkyBlue20 that is the BEST news, huge congratulations!! Please could you keep us posted? I would love to keep hearing updates if you feel up to it 🥰🥰

SkyBlue20 · 19/08/2020 15:02

Thank you everybody 💕 The first trimester has been so difficult after last time - the anxiety is just something else - but I'm getting there and hopefully the three weeks until my scan will fly by now.

@Treacle81 I'm due March ☺️

@MrsD1990 Happy to keep checking in - I lurk on here everyday anyway 😂🙈

Anyway, didn't want to take away from your chat but wanted to say hello and send my well wishes to you all, will be eagerly awaiting birth announcements. Oooh also, all of the names are beautiful, there's not one I thought was just 'ok', they're all lovely 💕

otterbaby · 19/08/2020 15:09

@buzz22 I have already packed my hospital bag, but I'm fully aware that I've done it unnecessarily early and am probably a bit crazy 😬 I have 2 bags - my normal weekender bag and baby's changing bag. I've also filled up a tote bag with plenty of snacks and drinks - I'm definitely a grazer and don't want to have to rely on hospital feeding times!

Made this in my notes app and sent it to my husband so he'll know where everything is and doesn't have to ask me stupid questions while I'm in labour haha. Also included a reminder bit of things I'm still currently using but need to throw in once I enter early labour. I've probably overpacked on clothes but I just want to have plenty of options. May still add more maternity pads too.

Keep us posted for sure @SkyBlue20 ❤️ Girls, midwife had said to make sure bring snacks for hubby too as once he's in labour room he won't get back out till baby is born xx

booroo · 19/08/2020 16:10

@SkyBlue20 that is the best news! Please keep us updated :)
Seriously impressed with the hospital bag lists I just keep eyeing my bag up and thinking maybe tomorrow Blush maybe I'm secretly trying to tempt fate this time by not being organised lol

CouscousEvaporator · 19/08/2020 16:44

I expected packing to be a nightmare and take ages which is why I started it early. But it only took an hour 😂

MrsD1990 · 19/08/2020 16:58

@booroo I'm doing it this weekend! I've been putting it off too... I'm sure once I start I'll get into it!!

NWnature · 19/08/2020 17:02
