Oh how did I miss that. Welcome @Kate909! I'm due a girl on the 7th 😊

@Quiffy so jealous !! My hospital is so strict .

Welcome to all the new faces :)

( I’m due on the 1st of October ) knowing my luck I will be super over . I’m ready to give birth told dh let’s have lots of s3x closer to induce labour and he said that’s gross he doesn’t want to do the deed with his child inside me .

Ok so I made a start on the bag - placed a pack of water wipes and then got bored - really should be concentrating at work .

Quiffy · 20/08/2020 10:57

@Zaalfruit I'm trying not to get too excited about it as knowing my luck we'll go full lockdown and I won't get the benefit. So I just glare at photographs of everyone at the pub instead as they might be spreading germs hehe.

I'm with you on work concentration (clearly been on MN all morning). Just cannot be bothered.

LexiM · 20/08/2020 11:13

Welcome to the group @kate909

My hospital is in the middle for strictness. They are now only allowing partners to 20 week scan as they are the only appointments during the afternoon so the waiting room is empty. Bit late for us but I'm happy for others! Birthing partner is allowed from established labour or if pain relief needed and from the start for induction. They cannot leave the room once in though. Im not sure how long he's allowed to stay immediately after the birth. For visiting after they've increased the hours with no maximum limit so that seems quite good compared to other places. I'm not really getting set on all this as I know lots can still change either way between now and October.

Hospital bag still no further on for me. Although I did deep clean the living room last night... paying for that today though, feeling the ache!!

otterbaby · 20/08/2020 11:40

@SkyBlue20 I saw it on the same thread as quiffy 🙂

@kate909 welcome! Not too late at all, you're just in time for all the action 😆 I'm due the following day.

@LexiM I'm the same, I've been cleaning all morning and tidying the garden. My back is so achy! I just keep telling myself it's helping to keep her head down and hopefully engage for labour!

I know I'm just under 34 weeks but I'm so ready for her to be here!! Bored of waiting now.

Spark27 · 20/08/2020 11:48

Went for my 34w appt this morning (34+4) and my fundal measurement is low. I'm now measuring 31w (was measuring 27 at the 28w one) and that puts me below the 10th centile. Been booked in for a growth scan later this afternoon. Mw wasnt concerned though- she said hb was good (155 bpm), baby was moving around, and she said baby was really low (4/5th engaged at the mo) so all factors likely contributing to it. But the guidance means I need a scan. Means I get to see baby again.

At my 32w private growth scan it was measuring at 50th centile, so will be interesting to see what this one says.

She also said baby seemed to be back to back, which explains the backache

Treaclepie19 · 20/08/2020 12:15

I'm bored of waiting too @otterbaby!

Currently hoping I dont get any more itching as my feet were itchy last night and this morning. Going to have to phone if it carries on 🙄
It feels like I'm making all these things up but I'm really not 🙈

@Spark27 glad they're doing a scan to make sure. Sounds like baby is just a curled up in a hiding position though.

I managed to put away some of baby's things last night but still didn't do the hospital bags. I'll sort them tonight or this weekend.

I also keep up with this thread, but I feel like I'm I'm butting in whenever I write 😳🤣

Our hospital is only allowing partners to the 12/20 week scans, but they are also allowed to consultant appointments. The visiting hours are 11am-5pm at the moment which they can stay as long as they want!

I had a consultant telephone appointment yesterday regarding asking for an elective. (No medical reason, just anxiety😩) and they've booked me in for the 7th of October! Starting to feel more real now 😳

I haven't even began my hospital bags! I feel so unorganised compared to you all

booroo · 20/08/2020 14:03

Don't worry @ChickenDipper28 I'm due the 1st of October and haven't packed a single thing Blush I'm going to make it my weekend job... definitely...maybe... possibly..
congrats on the c section date though I always think it must be nice to have a definitive date at the end to focus on, I'm kinda Jealous actually lol

ChickenDipper28 · 20/08/2020 14:17

@booroo Aww congrats 😍 Do you think it'll be an October or a September baby?

At least I'm not the only one 😳🤭
I keep saying I'll get started with it then I make an excuse like I'm too tired! We'll do it.. eventually. 🤣

Thank you! I'll be 39+4 😳 We'll see if she makes an early appearance! It feels weird potentially knowing the date she will be born haha.

blankiesandunicorns · 20/08/2020 16:02

I'm due 1st October too but baby apparently is big and this is my 2nd so could be before. Also haven't started hospital bag but feel like Iv got a lot more to get. Will probably pack it at 35 weeks, I'm 34 today

StrawberrySprinkles · 20/08/2020 16:23

So exciting to think some birth announcements could be on this thread!

I'm currently 32+5 and getting pretty fed up of all the niggles and pains, has anyone else been feeling more nauseous and tired lately? I feel a bit like I did in the first trimester, but not quite as bad. But I keep reminding myself its not long to go really now until baby will be here and that keeps me at least a little motivated 😅

Put up some more bits and pieces in the nursery last night and today I've been washing all the baby clothes after being inspired by some of the photos in the last thread! They really do look so tiny and cute on the washing line 🥰

Hoping to do hospital bags soon though will aim to have them completely packed by 36 weeks, so still lots of time.

CharlieBalf · 20/08/2020 16:55

Hi all, 33 + 4 today and yes, I have packed my hospital bag! I have a few toiletries left to add nearer to October and one or two baby grows but it's sat there by the front door ominously 😂

Question for mums who have had an ecsec before: do the consultants tend to book a date for a few days before due date?

booroo · 20/08/2020 17:39

@ChickenDipper28 I'm hoping for a September baby as she's my third and I've been told numerous times 3rd ones like to arrive quickly but if she's anything like her sisters it will be October for sure Grin although it won't stop
Me trying everything come September to evict her early if i can...
Well in preparation for packing my hospital bag I added a big bar of galaxy chocolate to my food shop today to pack in it as a well done for having a baby midnight snack Blush that counts as making a start right??...

blankiesandunicorns · 20/08/2020 17:48

@booroo yes that counts for sure, more than what Iv done!!

I plan to go through baby stuff tonight and see what I need to start getting organised!

mamamemmmer · 20/08/2020 18:03

Not long noooow

mamamemmmer · 20/08/2020 18:10

@Treaclepie19

Oh how did I miss that. Welcome *@Kate909*! I'm due a girl on the 7th 😊
Me too! X
roarfeckingroarr · 20/08/2020 18:13

Checking back in after a couple of months away. It's all getting very soon!!!

BntTowers · 20/08/2020 18:18

I think I just have a couple of last minute bits to put in the hospital bag, and get a snack bag together. I'm definitely going to put some naughty things that I'm not currently allowed in like a carton of orange juice and a big bar of chocolate.
Today I have taken up the curtains that are to go in the nursery, just need DH to finish work so he can hang them on the pole and hope that they are the right length 🤞 I've also been pottering around in the nursery all afternoon, especially tempting now we've had the chair delivered and it's comfy to sit on and relax.

ChickenDipper28 · 20/08/2020 19:10

@booroo Fingers crossed for a September baby for you! 🤞🏼Get your eviction notice ready 🤭

Completely counts as making a start! I think that's enough packing for today, you've done well! Although.. I'd end up eating it way before then 😳

@roarfeckingroarr Welcome back 😬 I cant believe how close we all are now!

@BntTowers A snack bag is a must 😊 Well done on getting the curtains ready for the nursery! I've had a complete lazy day today 😳
I keep going into the nursery and sitting there not believing that it's actually happening soon!

Spark27 · 20/08/2020 19:28

All ok at the scan. Measurements show it to be between the 10-15th centile. Approx weight 4lbs 12oz at the mo. Took a while to check the blood flow as baby kept playing with the cord 🙄.

They said any issues to give them a call, and obvs keep an eye on movement, but they were happy that shes just a bit smaller. I cant imagine how uncomfortable I'd feel if she was measuring big. They confirmed that she's back to back.

MrsD1990 · 20/08/2020 19:28

@ChickenDipper28 don't feel like you're butting in!! I love reading people's updates so different post of you'd like to!

@StrawberrySprinkles I'm feeling tired again - not as bad as the first trimester but bad enough for me to feel like I need naps and I seriously cannot be arsed doing a lot of things. Determined to do my hospital bag this weekend though.

MrsD1990 · 20/08/2020 19:29

Lol that's meant to say "so definitely post if you'd like to" my autocorrect is so unhelpful

MrsD1990 · 20/08/2020 19:30

@Spark27 oops posted at the same time as you! Glad everything is ok with the scan and they're happy with her measurements ♥️

Treacle81 · 20/08/2020 19:32

@ChickenDipper28 that's late for a section, isn't it usually a week before? Maybe that's just planned ones. Yea tho it's the not knowing that kills me, great to have a date! My friend just had baby this morning, i was convinced it was a boy as she carried so differently to her first but no another girl, Mila. Oh hearing of these possible Sept babies is v exciting!! I'm been most fed up but sweet goals for myself this morning and achieved two, went a morning walk for some shopping and worked out 🙂happy with that. I'll try n achieve some every day xx
