I got a very positive test this morning, a complete shock as i had a negative test 5 days ago.
Apart from feeling very hot and tired which I think is more the heatwave. I still feel like my period will come any moment.

Due date will be 20th April I think, but due to emerg c-sec with my first I think I will request a c-sec again so guess will be earlier.

Fingers crossed for us all x

Hullo

Can I join you? Hopefully for the long haul!

DH and the kids were joking about earlier - the outfit I am wearing is hugging my food rounded stomach slightly and the DC were jokingly asking if I had a baby in there...DH said no of course not....it just looks like it!

Ha! Ha!

I waited until the DC were out of hearing .... and said to DH ‘I’m on a 23 day cycle, I have been since March and that works out that I’m currently .... 9 days late‘

He paled significantly and went out to buy a test 😂

I suspected I am menopausal rather than pregnant as I’m nearly 45, but it wasn’t until they were joking around that I really thought about it.

I am exhausted, I have heartburn, I haven’t had a migraine in three weeks (directly linked to my cycle) and well I’m 9 days late.

He got back with the test and here I am

I have previously only had a 50% success rate as had two mmc.

Due date would be around 16th April.

I’m 44 I have two DC age 9 and 7 .... this one shall be called ... Boo!

Welvome @YumlemoCheesecake Had my call back from the midwife so got my booking appointment on the 20th August. Feels slightly more like something is happening now. Eeep. Still so early 5 weeks today x

BuckleUp · 14/08/2020 20:04

@WutheredOut Welcome! That truly is a surprise! Glad you can join us 😊

@YumLemonCheesecake Hello 😊. When should AF usually be arriving? It takes a while for it to feel real!

YumLemonCheesecake · 14/08/2020 20:51

@BuckleUp it should of started on Monday! So 4/5 days late.

BuckleUp · 14/08/2020 21:46

@YumLemonCheesecake brilliant! It sounded like you were still waiting in your message. I think you're well and truly preggers 😆

Rotagilla · 14/08/2020 23:17

@BuckleUp how did it go at the doctors? Did you get anti sickness tablets?

@WutheredOut congratulations! What a surprise!

Thank you - definitely a bit of a shock...but I’m already far too used to the idea!
DH is panicking as we haven’t started his longed-for house extension yet and now it looks like we really need it! Not giving ourselves much time 😂

BuckleUp · 15/08/2020 00:48

@Rotagilla yeah I managed to get a prescription just for piece of mind. Just spent my evening removing maggots from sheep with blowfly strike - not what you want to do on a queasy stomach 🤢

MrsxRocky · 15/08/2020 06:31

I'm due 21st April and no symptoms except a bit more tired than usual and hungrier.
Still don't quite believe it

WutheredOut · 15/08/2020 07:44

@BuckleUp that’s sound like a great way to spend the evening 🤢

BuckleUp · 15/08/2020 08:40

@WutheredOut It's truly gross. I don't like the job at the best of times!

How is everyone this morning?

April2021 · 15/08/2020 09:47

Wow @WutheredOut congrats! I'd imagine that was a huge shock for yourself and DH!

How's everyone today? Nausea has slowly been getting worse for me. We had a long car journey yesterday which was torture on country roads. I'm currently in bed trying to get the courage to get up and eat something but feel quite nauseous. We are visiting my in laws and we don't want them to know but hopefully this nausea is manageable until we get home tomorrow evening!

Nazz10 · 15/08/2020 13:37

Just booked an urgent scan for this evening (private). Been having sharp pains on my right side since yesterday afternoon ☹️

FoxtrotOscarPoppet · 15/08/2020 14:15

Hi to all the newcomers 👍

@Nazz10 really hope everything is ok. 🤞

Nausea is really kicking in now. All I want is lemon flavoured food. Dinner always smells lovely until it’s on my plate in front of me. 🤢
Feeling absolutely exhausted today.

ARIO · 15/08/2020 15:27

Hello all, I've been lurking for a while but would love to join you all. I think I'm 5+1 today with due date being 16th April. Though I think I ovulated late last cycle so it might be a little later... I recognise some of your names from the conception chat. Congratulations everyone. I hope we can all be on this journey together for the long haul.

I'm 30 and have a DD turned 2 June. So far minimal symptoms except sooo tired, fuzzy teeth(?!) and a little nausea first thing this morning solved by eating some toast! I had no sickness with my last pregnancy so I hope I don't this time either!!

ARIO · 15/08/2020 15:28

@Nazz10 sorry to hear that, what a worry for you. I hope all is OK. X

LuckyFlash · 15/08/2020 18:18

Welcome newcomers and congrats!

Let us know how you get on @Nazz10 that sounds stressful!

Can anyone who has been booked in for their first appointment let me know how long it took to hear from the midwife? I filled out a self referral form 5 days ago but haven’t heard a peep. I’m probably just being impatient!

Nazz10 · 15/08/2020 18:59

So scan went well. Viable pregnancy 😃 She checked my ovaries too and they were fine and she said the pain is probably gas (sorry TMI)

Nazz10 · 15/08/2020 19:01

Thank you @FoxtrotOscarPoppet @ARIO @LuckyFlash 💗

LouJ85 · 15/08/2020 19:06

Hi all. I'm about 4w 4d (according to date of last period). This would make my due date around end of April / early May 2021. have a viability scan with the early pregnancy assessment unit on 26th Aug as I have a history of molar pregnancy and miscarriage. I'm so anxious to know the outcome. I'm also miserable with nausea and been prescribed cyclizine which is helping the constant nausea but making me extremely drowsy and spaced out. I just don't feel like myself at all. Sorry for the whinge. I want to be happy, I really am deep down, I just feel so unlike myself right now Sad

ARIO · 15/08/2020 19:18

@Nazz10 what a relief! I paid for a private early scan for our first pregnancy and it was totally worth it. Waiting until 12 weeks is looooong. I think we will do it again around 8 weeks this time especially as DH can't join for 12 weeks scan.

FoxtrotOscarPoppet · 15/08/2020 19:43

@Nazz10 what a relief! 😁

@LuckyFlash I registered with my local birthing unit just over two weeks ago now. I received a letter a couple of days later saying that midwife would be in touch to arrange booking in appointment but heard nothing yet.

YumLemonCheesecake · 15/08/2020 20:16

Oh my goodness, the tiredness really hit me today randomly, I ended up having a 2hr nap this afternoon and another 30min one around 5pm!
I don't really remember feeling this with DC1, honestly I would stand/walk around the house for 5 mins then I'd need to sit down. I really hope it ends soon.
How's everyone else today?
