Thanks @Chicken123.

How are you feeling symptom wise?

Peggy2020 · 10/08/2020 12:20

I am due April 2020 and have just been exhausted I feel normal other than that.

thewallisblue · 10/08/2020 12:24

Hi all! Very early for me - I'm 3+4. Fingers crossed everything progresses well.

I'm so nervous about CP/early MC. This is my first. Do others feel this way too?

SunshineD123 · 10/08/2020 12:28

Hello everyone, hope it's okay if I jump this post. Found out I'm expecting baby number 4 last week. Feeling so worried with everything going on, and also nervous about telling people. So glad to have found this thread though 😊.
My only symptoms have been bloating and back ache so far. Due 14th April.

Chicken123 · 10/08/2020 13:20

@FoxtrotOscarPoppet
I’ve been feeling better than I have been. I had extremely bad nausea which was keeping me awake at night along with bad dizziness too but now I’m just constantly bloated, constipated, sorest breasts and nipples and mild nausea but sleeping well at night. Oh also constant metallic taste in my mouth which is horrid!

@thewallisblue
congratulations. Try not to worry. I think all us women do worry but staying calm is best especially for this part of the pregnancy.
Just keep positive x

Chicken123 · 10/08/2020 13:20

@SunshineD123
We’re EDD buddies!

SunshineD123 · 10/08/2020 15:32

@Chicken123 Aww EDD buddies! Congratulations to you also 😊. It's the day before my mum's birthday too.

JoesM12 · 10/08/2020 17:42

Is anyone still testing?! I know I shouldn’t be and I’m probably driving myself crazy! But I have some left over (naturally stockpiled some when we started trying).
Pretty certain I’m pregnant but I think it’s more just for reassurance that the lines are getting darker! The one this morning was a lot darker than the control line which was nice to see!

Sals27 · 10/08/2020 18:05

Hi Wallis and Sunshine!

@JoesM12 I am! I have some cheapys so I've been using them every other day. I don't really feel pregnant, even though I know I am, so I like checking the lines.

I'm feeling exhausted right now. Telling myself it's a combination of the heat and a bad night with the toddler that's making me tired and not the pregnancy, but that might be contributing too 😂 I was exhausted last time and I'm telling myself that I'm fitter now and keeping up with my exercise so that will help keep the tiredness away. I'm kidding myself I know but positive mental attitude and all that! 😊

BuckleUp · 10/08/2020 18:52

Ergh, my work is refusing to let me on site. They have a site-specific blanket ban on pregnant women being onsite, despite the other sites adhering to the government advice of WFH past 28 weeks or if you have a pre-existing medical condition.. I might end up telling my line manager my news before my parents at this point. So devastated 😢

Sals27 · 10/08/2020 18:55

@buckleup That's annoying, do your work already know you're pregnant?

BuckleUp · 10/08/2020 19:00

@Sals27 We have a 'coronavirus hub' which you're supposed to call as soon as any circumstances change. I did as I was told by work guidance and informed them confidentially, assuming they'd be rational and listen to government advice. I basically wanted to demonstrate that I'd done everything by the rule book, so that when I told my line manager after the 12 week scan she couldn't say I've put myself at risk (she's very rule abiding). I'm wishing if kept it quiet now tbh, I feel silly for informing them. The news is currently confidential still, but I'm being pressured to inform my line manager. I'm not even allowed to clear my desk.. feeling so frustrated right now

Nazz10 · 10/08/2020 19:05

Hi ladies,
I'm due in April although not sure which date. NHS website says 8th April along with a couple of my apps but then some other apps are saying 12th. So I'm going with 8th April since I trust my cycle apps and NHS website more.
So that makes me 5+4 today.

Symptoms wise, had some cramping right at the start for about a week. Then it disappeared for a few days but now is back again. Sore-ish boobs (not painfully sore). And an awful metallic taste. I also felt like I was coming down with something yesterday - achy body and fatigue. Started the night before and then woke up feeling the same but then disappeared by late afternoon.

I am going to do an early scan too at 7 maybe 8 weeks. I'm too anxious to wait until week 12. This is my first btw 😊

Sals27 · 10/08/2020 20:00

@BuckleUp Oh bless you, thats very frustrating especially feeling under pressure to tell your boss. I guess it will be strange if you don't because they'll be wondering where you are so they've put you in a really tricky situation haven't they Sad

Chicken123 · 10/08/2020 20:48

Are any of you ladies suffering with horrendous bloating? It’s not painful at all, but my tummy is just constantly hard and round and does not go down! I’ve had it now near enough every day and night for the past 6/7 nights.
I read that its normal because of progesterone but it’s so annoying.
I’m going swimming tomorrow with my mum and I’m dreading putting a swimsuit on and my bloat being on show....I’ve been living in oversized T-shirt’s to hide it recently😢

LuckyFlash · 11/08/2020 07:45

@BuckleUp that’s so frustrating! Can you do your job from home or will you have to stop working?

@Chicken123 yes bloating has been my only real symptom alongside some mild cramping. It sucks!

I told my mum, dad, brother and SIL last night - feels a lot more real now that it’s not just mine and DH’s little secret!

April2021 · 11/08/2020 08:01

@Chicken123 yes I've been bloated for a couple of weeks now! Been trying to hide it like yourself but it's hard in the nice weather.

@LuckyFlash must have been lovely to tell your family! I have been dying to tell some people close to me but I'm more reserved now after the miscarriage last time, will hold out telling anyway as long as I can

BuckleUp · 11/08/2020 08:14

@Sals27 Actually I'm more concerned about them telling my boss because I'm thinking of going in despite the advice.. It just seems so unfair. I changed role within the company in January so I only had about 8 weeks to learn my new job before lockdown. If I don't go back now then I won't be back until after maternity finishes. I could end up being in that job over 2 years with very little experience..

@LuckyFlash I can do part of my job at home, but I can't do the training delivery bit which is where I need the practise to build up my confidence. I guess I'll just have to suck it up but I feel awful that my boss won't have my help during the busy season despite only being 5/6 weeks pregnant. On top of that I didn't really want to tell her until the chance if MC was more reduced. It's so lovely that you were able to tell you family though 😊

@Chicken123 Bloating is definitely a problem, alongside constipation! I keep telling myself I shouldn't be able to see a bump but the bloating is pushing it out (plus the usual wobble 😂)

JoesM12 · 11/08/2020 08:21

Thanks @Sals27 glad to know I’m not the only one. Suppose there’s nothing wrong with reassurance 😊

@BuckleUp that is such a pain! However I told my boss yesterday because I knew risk assessments would need to be done because of corona and just because of the job itself. He was great about it! Told me he would keep it to himself until I’m ready to tell the rest of the team but reassured me that if I need anything I could go to him. It was actually a huge weight off as I’ve been feeling really nauseous and unwell so at least he knows why! Hope you manage to sort something x

@Chicken123 yes!!! I’ve been so bloated it has been quite uncomfortable! It does seem to be easing of now. I read it should only last the very early weeks. Fingers crossed!x

I’ve woken up with my first wave of actual morning sickness. Until now it’s been a bit of nausea in the afternoons but I could barely stomach making my daughters cereal never mind eating myself!

Chicken123 · 11/08/2020 09:35

Morning ladies!
How’re you all doing?

@JoesM12 oh you poor thing!
It’s really awful isn’t it! I’ve woken up this morning with a bit of nausea but have been sipping my water and had a crispbread which seemed to slightly settle it.
I’m going swimming this morning and I just feel so insecure and horrid in my costume. So bloated

bh2210 · 11/08/2020 12:07

Hi everyone!
I'm due April 15th. We'd been ttc since Christmas and this is our first pregnancy. Trying not to get too excited as realise it's v early days. Have been looking up private scans for 8 and 10 week scans so husband can attend.

I'm not suffering too many symptoms so far. A fizzy feeling in tummy occasionally, no sore boobs, tired enough for a mini afternoon nap.
I had noticed as soon as my fertile window was over that I suddenly wasn't v hungry. I normally snack constantly (and a a little chubby cos of it!) but I was suddenly very conscious of watching what I ate.
Am already realising that I am LOVING vinegary things - gherkins, tartare sauce, salt and vinegar crisps!

Really exciting reading others positive stories too. 😃

BuckleUp · 11/08/2020 12:41

@bh2210 Welcome 😊. Snap with the salt and vinegar! I'm not normally bothered by that flavour but it seems to really settle my stomach at the moment.

Chicken123 · 11/08/2020 17:05

@bh2210 Salt and Vinegar crisps are the best things right now! I ran out last week so I just make trips to the shop to buy them.

Used my last cb digital test today as I’m 5 weeks tomorrow and it came up ‘Pregnant 3+’ so that’s me now until I have my early scan in 18 days x

JoesM12 · 11/08/2020 17:22

I also loved vinegar in my last pregnancy! Salt and vinegar crisps were all I ever wanted to eat!! I’ve not craved anything just yet though

@Chicken123 I also have one digital I’m planning to use tomorrow! I think I’m going to be 5+2 or 5+4 and hoping for the +3 sign 😊 What date is your scan booked for? We have our on the 28th! I really can’t wait but I feel like these past two weeks have gone sooo slow 😂

Chicken123 · 11/08/2020 17:44

No, I haven’t craved anything either...yet...although all I want is bad food @JoesM12

Ah, I’m sure you will as you’re over 5 weeks!
We’ve booked it for 29th. I’ll be 7+3 then. I wonder if they’ll say I’m further or behind..
I’m soooooo excited and I couldn’t agree more. I think it’s just another reason finding out so early sucks...because you feel like you’re waiting and waiting x
