@DressingGown87 Look up Katherine Graves hypnobirthing on YouTube - up breathing and down breathing. Even if you're not doing any other hypnobirthing it's really good breathing practice in general

@FirstSurprise001 Happy birthday! X

Hey Girls, haven’t checked in for a while as kept losing the thread and never know what to write but love seeing everyone’s stories and support, so exciting waiting for all the babies to make an appearance. I’m being induced on Monday at 37+6 due to obstetric cholestasis which my levels keep rising so safest thing for baby. All becomes very real when you have a date!!

1990shopefulftm · 03/10/2020 11:11

@LST87 good luck for monday :)

FirstSurprise001 · 03/10/2020 12:19

Morning ladies!

What. A. Night. I wish I could say we have another baby to add to the group but it would appear he’s still sticking tight. After I messaged on here I went to the toilet again to more like period blood (TMI sorry!) so ended up calling the hospital who asked me to come in and bring my hospital bag. Thoroughly checked me over again, baby is fine, cervix is still closed (when they could eventually find it! Nothing like 3 women at that end all finding it impossible to find). Couldn’t find the outcome of the bleed once again but said my body is definitely starting to get ready for labour now as they’ve tracked tightenings on the machine. Wanted me to stay in but the last place I wanted to be waking up to on my birthday was the hospital so got home late last night. Just need to take it a bit steadier over the next few weeks. Back ache like a b today but hoping that’s just the cold weather!

Thank you for all the birthday messages! DP took me out for pancakes this morning and now we’re just going to have a very chilled day at home.

I hope you’re all having a good weekend despite the weather!

@FirstSurprise001 sorry that you had a rough night, glad you go to come home. Those pancakes look amazing, hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

The cold is probably making my joint worse but it's wonderful not to have had night sweats so i've slept better the past few nights.

DressingGown87 · 03/10/2020 14:44

@AdventureAhead hope you manage to get the hospital bag packed. I still have a list of things to go in mine, but there items / clothing still in use. Fingers crossed that baby goes head down soon.

@Flora20 thank you will try watch some videos this week in preparation.

@LST87 how exciting. Agree it does feel real / weird when you have a date. Good luck with your induction. I’m being induced early too, so would be nice to hear how you get on.

@FirstSurprise001 them pancakes look amazing! Glad you got seen at the hospital and all was ok, with you and the baby, but sorry you had a rubbish birthday Eve. At least you woke up at home though. Hopefully you can rest at home for a bit longer, enjoy your day and your DP is taking care of you. Agree the weather is rubbish. Happy birthday again!

Ive just had the worst case of BH whilst at my family members funeral. Not the best place, but I was stood in the cold, and pouring rain. My sister who is also pregnant fainted. So all round and eventful morning. Home now to take it easy for the rest of the day.

roarfeckingroarr · 03/10/2020 23:24

@DressingGown87 you poor thing. Have a warm bath and early night. It's the only thing that helps my relentless BH.

BS9790 · 04/10/2020 10:47

How are everyone's movements now? Different?

Mine are no longer big movements that move my belly, and no big kicks. Just pretty much a permanent rolling/wiggling under my rib. Movement is nowhere near as strong, but are much more frequent.
Is this the same for others? 😊

WaveStreet · 04/10/2020 11:20

@BS9790 i still have some big movements but i have a posterior placenta so it's always been quite easy to see and feel the movements through my tummy at the front. I definitely feel a lot more deep inside movements though so they've changed in that way.

@DressingGown87 sorry to hear you had such a bad day yesterday, i hope resting helped and you feel better today?

@FirstSurprise001 hope you enjoyed the rest of your birthday. Have you had any other signs since?

Our aim for today is get the painting finished in the nursery and pack the hospital bags. I'm so glad a few of you have said you still have things to organise, I feel like I'm so behind. Just want to tick those things off the list now.

1990shopefulftm · 04/10/2020 12:04

@BS9790 I ve got an anterior placenta and it mostly feels like rolling lower down now rather than kicks.

LadyB90 · 04/10/2020 12:04

@BS9790
Mine are definitely changing, and similar to how you've described, they must be running out of space now! I also get a foot poking out quite a lot.

Sls668 · 04/10/2020 12:28

@BS9790 I was going to ask this today! Mine definitely sound very similar to you, it just feels like she doesn’t have much space to move anymore although she has had a wriggly morning.

@WaveStreet I feel behind too! Although we have all the necessities now so officially we’d be fine if she came. I think even if you had everything done, you’d still find something else to do and feel unprepared!

BS9790 · 04/10/2020 12:36

I'm glad to know others have changed too, was starting to worry if he wasn't moving strongly enough. I feel him more often, just more subtle. I have anterior placenta too.
I'm also feeling him have hiccups several times a day now!

I packed the hospital bags on Friday after a panicked phone call from the hospital thinking I was gonna be induced... Luckily it all turned out fine and at least my bags are packed now 🙈

Any good tips on getting baby engaged? Hes been head down since at least 28 weeks, but not even started to engage 🙈

FirstSurprise001 · 04/10/2020 14:16

@WaveStreet aside from the backache yesterday nothing really since. I guess it’s just a waiting game now!

@BS9790 mine is still kicking away, knocking anything I put on my stomach off but doing big rolls too. Definitely think you’re right with there being so little space, you can actually see the skin and belly expand out massively when he kicks and jabs now.

Glooorb · 04/10/2020 15:19

@DressingGown87 oh dear poor you!! I hope that you had a good rest and that the BH has decreased now.

@BS9790 movement hasn't changed drastically for me - he is a wriggler and he is still giving me some bootings! He hasn't engaged either - his head has been down but no engagement. I think sitting and bouncing on an exercise ball is supposed to help?

DressingGown87 · 04/10/2020 17:40

Thank you, think it was all the standing and walking. Had a nap yesterday afternoon, and felt fine afterwards.

@BS9790 mine feel exactly how you’ve explained. But I wouldn’t say more frequent, unless I’m just use to it. I get hiccups a few times a day now too, usually at night.

@wavestreet hope the painting is going well! I still need to do some organizing / work handovers, so don’t worry.

roarfeckingroarr · 04/10/2020 18:17

@BS9790 lots of rolling and limbs sticking into or under my right ribs. I'm quite enjoying it weirdly.

Right. I'm on maternity leave. I had a full head of highlights, a trim and olaplex treatment this morning. All cupboards and wardrobes have been sorted and baby things are ready. DP is assembling the next 2 me this evening. 39 weeks today and baby is welcome to arrive whenever he likes.

Freddie1987 · 04/10/2020 18:41

@DressingGown87 sorry to hear about your rough day but sounds like you've done the right thing having a nap and taking everything in your stride

@roarfeckingroarr you sound so ready!! Hope you don't have to wait much longer 😬also Olaplex treatments are the one 👌

@FirstSurprise001 omg those pancakes look insane, gimme! I've definitely developed a sweet tooth these past few weeks, have to have something chocolatey every day...Glad you had a lovely birthday and getting excited for baby's arrival ☺️

Is anyone else suffering with crotch pain, it feels like I've pulled muscles in my vagina haha, also my coccyx feels sore, wondering whether this is a sign he's moving further down into pelvis?! @BS9790 I wouldn't worry too much though because some baby's don't engage fully until the start of labour.

@LST87 ahhh exciting, hope tomorrow goes smoothly!! 🤞

SamK93 · 04/10/2020 18:55

Good luck for tomorrow @LST87 I hope you've taken today to get well rested in preparation for tomorrow. Hoping everything goes easily for you, let us know how you get on.

Hope everyone else is okay and had a good weekend. I'm sure the babies will be starting from next week!

BS9790 · 04/10/2020 19:27

@roarfeckingroarr, yeah I love it. I'll miss my bump!

@DressingGown87, ooh good I'm glad yours are the same! I think they just feel more frequent to me perhaps now he's staying put in one position as I could hardly feel anything before due to placenta.

Ladies... Speak to me about snacks for the hospital?! What's everyone taking?
We can only have a visitor for an hour per day and I'm always starving... Even pre pregnancy lol. So I need to be well prepared 🤣🤣

roarfeckingroarr · 04/10/2020 19:44

@BS9790 I have a couple of bags of fizzy sour sweets, Jaffa cakes and oaty breakfast bars. I'll take some fruit in too but don't want it to go off before it's needed!

LST87 · 04/10/2020 20:32

Thank you everyone, getting nervous now but going to try and get an early night, not that I’ll sleep, don’t remember the last time I slept longer than an hour at a time 🙈 I’ll keep you all updated how it goes.

Monkeyseesmonkeydoesnt · 04/10/2020 20:47

I've raided my 4yr olds snack box for anything individually wrapped, so chocolate crepes, cereal bars, fruit mix, brioche buns etc

1990shopefulftm · 04/10/2020 21:01

I m taking crisps, cereal bars, plain biscuits and rice cakes. I ve got a 4 pack of lucozade sport and some squeezey squash to add to water.
