Hey so I'm 5 weeks pregnant! It's our first!

I feel kind of alone and lost because none of our friends or family know as we want to keep it a secret and I want someone to turn to to share my experience or ask questions.

Anyone fancy keeping touch on this thread?

I'm sick of googling stuff it just worries me lol x

@Teapotdespot I was just having a read through your previous comments and I'm so relieved for you! Hopefully the cramps pass soon and baby carries on growing strong

@Teapotdespot really glad things are looking more positive for you. It’s so hard not knowing what is going on, the tests are just too tempting!. Nausea is good sign your levels are strong 👍🏻

@meeemaw Of course anything like that feels worrying. Hope you are ok. But it can be completely normal. Brown blood is old blood, so that is a good sign that it’s not new bleeding. It’s only if it carries on for longer and gets more red and darker something might be up. Again good sign on the nausea, though it doesn’t feel very nice!

Congratulations @SarahLouiseI I like to get booked early so I’ll probably contact GP soon when I’m close to 6 weeks. I’m officially 5 tomorrow, which is passed when I had a loss a couple of months ago, so feeling good about that.

Yes the tiredness that comes with pregnancy 🤦‍♀️ But that sounds particularly full on. I am actually the opposite arm,I’m complete wired, can’t sLeep. Feel like my heart is beating fast and it’s making me feel a bit anxious! Are one else have this?

@Bouncytree thank you, that's definitely reassuring. I know deep down that it's fine but you just can't help but worry! It's stopped now thankfully but have woke up this morning feeling like I've ran a marathon in my sleep, feel like my body is just gonna fall apart 😂

I’m trying not to be hopeful before my repeat HCG today, but I definitely think my lines are getting darker. Bottom one is today (18dpo), top one is 15dpo.

@Bouncytree I’m normally straight off to sleep but for the last few days I’ve had crazy insomnia! Very unlike me.

@meeemaw sounds good, a little bit of brown spotting normal. Being tired a good sign too, your body is working overtime to support the little bean. 😊

How is everyone feeling symptom wise?

I bought anti sickness bands from amazon and they seem to be working okay. Amazing.

Tonight I have uncomfortable twinges left hand side of my stomach and upper stomach. I think it's either trapped with :( or stretching.

Hoping it eases.

I had an internal vaginal scan yesterday and I’m just over 5 weeks pregnant. They could see the sac and the yolk sac which apparently is a great sign. No sign of ectopic or any other issues. The reason for my scan is because I had a slight bleed at the weekend - just brown discharge. The sonographer said it’s just old blood but today it’s got much darker. No cramps as such although some intense twinges that are gone very quickly. Anyone else experiencing this?

Hi @mrsfitzyj sorry to hear that. it sounds like you are getting good care. Even if it’s darker, brown is ok....it’s fresh red, esp dark red blood that could be something up. I know it’s always worrying no matter what.

@mrsfitzyj my spotting got a lot more intense after my internal scan, I think the probe dislodges old blood and causes more spotting. Don’t worry unless it turns red

@mrsfitzyj OMG the gas vs cramp thing is too true! I’ve been really upset all day because I’ve felt like I’ve had loads of cramp... then I did the biggest fart of my life and it’s miraculously vanished

I’ve still got some stabby pains in my right side which are a mega worry, I keep thinking I’ll feel better after my scan on Saturday but I’m seriously worried I’m going to be this anxious for the entire time

@mrsfitzyj and @Teapotdespot lol I am the same 💨🤣 pains in my tummy and back and then do a massive fart and I feel so much better. I just feel like a big ball of wind 🌬 the iron and folic acid supplements dont help either!

Oh teapot, I know it’s so tough. But you will. These first few months are a bit nervy anyway I think, and that must be x 1000 if you’ve had difficult experiences in the past. It is a bit of a mental battle, to try and stay positive. Once things settle a bit and you’ve had the 12 week scan I think, you feel a bit more armed with info about what’s going on in there. Everything has been checked and you can use that it reassure yourself.

@Teapotdespot @Bouncytree it’s mad how much a good poo has eliminated the cramps this morning!

Oh my god I totally hear you re the anxiety. But hopefully as time progresses and bubba develops it will ease. God help me when bubba actually arrives 😂😂😂

How is everyone doing? I'm 6 weeks now and the bloating is unreal. I'm on baby 3 but pregnancy 5. I look like I'm about to give birth! It's not helped by constipation.

Are people having early private scans? I've had two MC in a row and considering one at 9 weeks, but I actually have found early scans so stressful I'm tempted to wait til 12 weeks.

@JTB123 yes! Had an upset stomach for a few days on and off but haven't eaten anything specific to cause it.

I've also had sciatic pain and burning in my legs which I always thought occurred in the third trimester but apparently not! Anyone else?

Hi all, I'm a bit late to the party but can I join you all? I'm 5+2 weeks at the moment and sooo tired, especially by late afternoon onwards.

Can we also talk about going to the toilet.... anyone else not particularly going more/less often than before but finding it a strange colour?? Sorry for tmi!!!

Also, my poor boobs and nipples!! They are not enjoying life right now 😂

@Buns05 so today has been the worst for me! Toilet... then two minutes later it's as if someone is sitting on my bladder lol
