Poor dps .. they've got hands haven't they
I sometimes give my DH a handjob when I really don't feel like sex (which is about 99% of the time

Or is it too early for this sort of conversation!

goingfor3christmaspuddings · 29/11/2007 10:13

Bouncingturtle that's exactley what I think and what I do if I can be bothered! It probably is too early in the morning!

feedmenow · 29/11/2007 10:25

I'm sure that our dp's wouldn't ever think it was too early in the morning for a hand job!!!!! Unfortunately, mine is such a miserable bugger most of the time that I don't feel inclined to help him out in the slightest! We have quite a lot of stress in our house at the mo - both dd and ds are sick, again! Dd was last at school a week ago. Ds was off last Friday then went back this week but is off again today. Poor little mites have raging temps and feel really crappy. All I can do is keep them topped up on Calpol and Nurofen. We saw the doc last Friday (who diagnosed viral infections), so don't really know how long to wait til we go back again?

On a good note, I have had an appt through this morning to see the consultant midwife in 3 weeks about my vbac plans. I have an appt with the medical consultant in January, but I really had wanted to see the midwife first to discuss the actual midwiffery side of things before I get rail-roaded by the medical side, IYSWIM. But just wondering, I have a midwife appt at the GP on 17th dec and then consultant midwife on 20th Dec....is it really worth doing both? Shall I cancel the normal midwife do you think?

Massive congrats to Jossie and family! So glad to hear everything is looking good for you all!

Can't remember everything else that is going on and whenever I try and go to another page to double check who has done what I end up losing the message I've already typed!

Mom, wierd to be moving up the list like that, I know! I'm 13th!!! How on earth did that happen??

goingfor3christmaspuddings · 29/11/2007 12:28

Great news Sweetkitty!!!!!!!

Good luck for your scan Jules

becklebigbump · 29/11/2007 14:05

Yay for SK and Gfor3's scans! Thrush is a bugger, I had it badly at the beginning of this pg, eventually got rid of it using an internal cream called Nystatin (Nystan). Had to use it every day for 2 weeks. Was quite yucky but very soothing and it seemed to do the trick (touch wood).

Jules so pleased that your bloods have been rising well and that you are getting the hang of the injections, hopefully they will be just what is needed to make this little bean stick for you. Good luck with y our scan tomorrow too!

Mom, it is very strange to see yourself moving up the list isn't it?! Once Glimmer pops I will be 4th! Really hope Glimmer is okay, hopefully she's just so in love with her new LO she's had no time for MN.

MrsMcJnr · 29/11/2007 14:27

Hey ladies sorry for being away for a few days. Just so busy at the moment. Had a bit of a scary appointment, not in a physical way don?t worry, yesterday. It was with the consultant anaesthetist about my options if things don?t go according to plan and I need a section either planned or emergency. With my blood condition, there are a few added dimensions that scared me to death. Still better to know and I left hoping (in the nicest possible way) that I wouldn?t be seeing the lovely Dr again!!

Goingfor3 ? loving your Christmas name so glad the scan went well and the cervix is looking good. Hope the infections stop x

Makescakes love your photos so happy for you; I think my Beanie looks like his/her Daddy I was STARVING at 13 weeks

PYBF ? hope you are ok and the spotting has gone

Hey Hotchoc can?t believe d-day is so soon! Really excited for you hope it all goes really well and I can?t wait to hear your news. I start mat leave 3 weeks tomorrow on 21/12 ? can?t wait!! I am so sorry about your Mum, your new baby will be such a positive thing for you all. I can?t believe that there are now only a few ladies ahead of me on the list!!!!

Feedmenow ? never heard of jala neti, interesting!

EllieG ? will be hoping for a great scan for you tomorrow

Marymalone ? how did it go at the GPs?

Beckle ? hey hon

Bouncing ? good name title? How?s mat leave?

Justjules fab! I know the injecting is hard hon, it will get easier, I promise! all the very best for tomorrow.

Kensgirl fabulous!! So, so pleased. Like you, I knew exactly when I ov?d it was CD18, the early scans said we were a few days behind the number of days we would have been based on OV but since 20 weeks we have been a week ahead of LMP never mind the OV date so it seems Beanie?s catch up or slow down or just grow at their own pace so don?t worry, as long as you are near enough, all is fine

Daisy ? thinking of you hon

Janus ? hope you feel some reassuring movements soon and that the cold is better.

Lovelylou ? oh hon, all the best for Monday, we?ll all be there with you in spirit wishing you well. x

oHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Jossie many, many congratulations! I am SO pleased for you!!! Good weight too!!

Sweetkitty ? fab!!

Hey Mumpbump

Lots of positive thoughts for Glimmer x

EllieG · 29/11/2007 14:39

Fab SK! Don't worry about blubbing - I was howling like a baby from start to, well, bed time practically at my 9 week scan. Had to go home as crying too hard to go back to work.

makecakesnotwar · 29/11/2007 14:44

I cried bundles at 8 week scan too....and 12 week. And pretty much every day since...

Quick question- worried to death since dog used my tummy as a trampoline this morning...have had low grade aches/cramps in tummy and pelvis since then. Should I be worried?????

EllieG · 29/11/2007 15:32

Did you have aches there before at all? Mine aches when have overdone it cos the muscles and ligaments are more stretchy. Could just be that. But check with MW or doc if worried

Bouncingturtle · 29/11/2007 18:34

Congrats to Sweetkitty and Goingfor3! Great news about your scans!

MrsMc - can't be long for your m/l starts! I'm enjoying mine, except for bad headache all day today. Still went to aquafit though!

DH is going to be late home AGAIN tonight so feeling a bit sorry for myself. Still he has a half day off tomorrow as picking my dad up from the airport!

Janus · 29/11/2007 18:49

Goingfor3, great news on the cervix! You know where I'm coming from, who'd have thought we'd ever we worried about the length of our cervix!! I must admit my dp and I are still a little worried about how any 'action' may interfere with the cervix so we are at a definite barren stage!! That said, we are so close sharing this wonderful experience and we seem on a permanent high. I hope your scan helps you to relax a wee bit.
Fantastic sweetkitty, what a relief!
MrsMc, I hope you don't have to see that lovely doctor again too! Can't believe how close you are getting!
Makecakes, I'm sure you will be fine. I have a dopey labrador who jumps on me most mornings! Remember some people go skiing, play squash, etc when pregnant and continue to have healthy pregnancies. You may just be overdoing it a bit, I sometime ache if I've had hell of a day, try and relax.
Hello to everyone else.

DonDons · 29/11/2007 18:58

Makecakes - I think you will be fine too!

MrsMcJ - sorry you had a scare - but you'll be fine - healthy and well!

Had 20 week scan today and baby is all fine which is such a relief. Sex is still a mystery however as the cord was right between the legs.

Good luck tomorrow Ellie

Bouncingturtle · 29/11/2007 21:00

Congrats Dondon! Did you get a pic?
