Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Jossiejump · 22/11/2007 23:06

Hi Jules- I was strted on Clexane from the moment I got my BFP. I got used to doing it really quickly, aart from when I got a tricky batch of injections, which would have put me off ifthey were the first lot that I used.
Hope all went well for you

DaisyNightingale · 22/11/2007 23:43

thanks BT...hope you're doing OK and blooming!

DaisyNightingale · 22/11/2007 23:45

oh and hello and thanks for your kind words to Mccheesers....I didn't notice your post earlier.

Jossie....how are you doing? any twinges? aren't you due, like, now?

becklebigbump · 23/11/2007 10:47

Thanks Daisy!

Sounds like babyboo is doing really well! Am sure a couple of weeks early for weaning will do no harm, you know when they are ready and so do they!

feedmenow · 23/11/2007 11:42

Just popping in to say hi to everyone. Not posting for a few days leaves you really behind on all the news!

Kasha, so for you. xxx

To everyone else in their early days, just remember every time you feel down or scared that you have loads of us here to (virtually) hold your hands and lift you up and keep you plodding on through each day. And eventually you'll get to a point where you feel a little happier, slightly less worried. Slowly but surely.

CharlesandEddie · 23/11/2007 13:03

hello all
pragmatically negative this morning
did hpt and it looked less positive - the line had been deep deep red now not so
cramped mildly all night
looking on the bright side and thinking christmas will be easier with me less tired etc etc
scan tomorrow but under no illusion - thanks for leting me ramble!

becklebigbump · 23/11/2007 14:42

CandE, don't give up hoping. It is perfectly normal for 2 pg tests (even from the same batch) to contain slightly different amounts of dye so a lighter positive does not necessarily mean bad news. Cramping is also very common in the early stages as baby gets comfy and your body gets ready for the big stretch ahead of it. Not long until your scan now hun, only one more sleep x

mcchesers · 23/11/2007 15:26

CandE Just back from EPU and everything is fine with the scan. We could even see the wee bean and a tiny heartbeat...NOT just an egg! I've never seen that before so am in total shock..so is DH. Hope is not lost! I had mild cramping and some light brown CM too. I went in expecting the worst and thought maybe what was on the screen was someone else's baby...but no. I had even picked out what biscuits I would eat to console myself.

Feeling much better now and she told me that my consultant was really nice and that I could relax until the 18th when my booking appointment is. So bean is measuring about 6+5 today and that's just fine. Thanks for all the good vibes. I'm just so relieved, I could cry!

Now onto the next 5 weeks, eek! Hang in there hon!

CharlesandEddie · 23/11/2007 16:09

well done there mccheesers what a memorable day for you!

was the scan trans ab?????

MrsMcJnr · 23/11/2007 16:26

Kasha ? I am so sorry I hope you are being taken good care of and that, when you are up to it, you are going to investigate why this is happening to you. Sending huge hugs xx

DonDons ? depends how you look at it I guess, I could have up to 10 weeks left and when you think about what 10 weeks feels like in the beginning, it feels like an awfully long time! 33 weeks on Tuesday so yes, it is getting closer! Sorry about the MC anniversary, I found mine hard too, another horrible milestone to get past x Sorry to hear about the eBay rip off ? how did that come about?

Justjules you ok hon? Big breaths you have made a lot of peace with the world recently (and made it a much better place ) I think karma is on your side, I feel that this is going to all work out for you hon they?ll probably start you on heparin as soon as they have seen a viable foetus in your womb ? Clexane is the name of the heparin I am on

Goingfor3 ? sending huge hugs, your body can and will do this, it has done it before and yes, you have had those losses but you have to believe it can all work out fine again. Thinking of you, you?ll be 28 weeks before you know it x

Marymalone ? hang in there hon all was fine at my scan thanks Beanie is measuring above average (above the 50th percentile) and the sonographer was a trainee, and lovely but a little slower than the others so we saw so much more ? bones in the toes, sucking of thumb, rib cage, spine, heart beating away (but no ?bits? so that?s still a surprise ) weighing in about 4lb6 which is fine for my stage

Charlesandeddie ? praying for good news for you tomorrow hon

Daisy ? hey you really sorry to hear about your Mum?s condition it must be so awful for you all, sending huge hugs.

Mcchesers fabulous! Hope you ate those same biscuits to celebrate. I think it is natural after you?ve had bad news once to always expect it again, because the first time it is such a horrific shock that you just want to protect yourself, I am still terrified at every scan. Keep that positive feeling

spugs · 23/11/2007 16:26

c&e - good luck for your scan hun, i dont think ive ever done 2 tests where the lines been the same colour.

mcchesers - congrats on your scan, heres to the next 5 weeks going nice and quick for you

mcchesers · 23/11/2007 16:50

Thanks guys!! I'm having a big wobbly moment, knowing we're not out of the woods yet, but that I've got some hope to latch onto. Man it's strange to be starving and feel ill at the same time. Just off the phone with my Scottish MIL and she's over the moon.

DonDons · 23/11/2007 18:43

didn't think of it like that mrsmcj - but you're right of course! 10 weeks does drag on... simple case of me paying for something that never arrived. grrrr. hopefully will get money back eventually tho as paypal

hotchoc · 23/11/2007 19:30

Daisy, so sorry to hear about your mum, so hard to think of anything else when your mum is ill. thinking of you hotchocx

CharlesandEddie · 23/11/2007 20:51

what can i expect tomorrow.... will it be trans ab or trans (the other one!!!!)

mcchesers · 23/11/2007 21:44

CandE- I think it depends on the equipment they are using and how powerful it is. After having three scans with the vaginal wand, today they used the trans ab. I think it depends on how far along you are. Good Luck!

goingfor3christmaspuddings · 23/11/2007 21:48

CharlesandEddie I had an abdominal scan at exactley 6 weeks and it was clear enough to be able to see the babies heart beat. My EPU won't do a vaginal scan unless they really have too and will always try abdominla first. Go with a very full bladder and you can always empty it if they decide to do an internal one.

PaulaYatesbiggestfan · 23/11/2007 23:27

ok thanks for that I meant to ask about bladder

kensgirl · 24/11/2007 10:09

Good morning!

hi Mrsmc!! it's lovely to be here, I remember your BFP very well,so I can hardly believe 33 weeks ! glad you are well though..

I'm finding it hard to remember names, I must try and get here more often, but its very reassuring to here of all the positive early scans, it does give me hope.

I'm feeling much more positive in my headnow, I have been telling myself that its a new baby, new chromosomes, new chance, and that seems to be working for me.

I have a scan on Monday, when I will be 6+3, so I'm just trying to focus on that. I keep having this crazy thought though, that they are going to tell me there is nothing there! Hopefully, we'll get to see a little heartbeat too.

Love to you all xx

mcchesers · 24/11/2007 14:18

Kensgirl - I remember you from the other thread. How exciting for your scan on Monday! Have hope that everything is ok. Marymalone gave us all some sound advice that what will be will be and you might as well feel positive because it feels nice...and it does.

I'll be thinking of you!

PaulaYatesbiggestfan · 24/11/2007 17:45

just wrote huge bit then lost it!

its me btw charles and eddie!
still bleeding and crampy tum which is stressful but......had scan and there is a heartbeat

was feeling really blue and scared so was surprised and absolutely delighted
sonographer could see extra chorionic bleeding or words to that effect - she asked if blood was old i said 'no' she said if it is old do not worry .... hmm

anyway i feel positive - its better than before when scan was inconclusive and kept going back and back only to end up being told yo take a pill ...

the baby measured 6weeks 5 days which is about right as i have a long cycle

due date 14/07/2008 aaaaahhhhh sounds lovely!

cannot wait for time to pass and i can start using my hand held monitor thing!

thanks for all the virtual hand- holding last night!

mcchesers · 24/11/2007 19:34

Hey c&e!! That's wonderful news about your scan. Now we can help each other through the next 3-5 weeks Could they see it trans ab?

PaulaYatesbiggestfan · 25/11/2007 00:49

yes mccheesers it was fine although she said before she started she was not sure

still worrying about bleeding but dh keeps saying' the ultrasonographer does this day in day out she said not to worry' so i am trying not to!

told someone tonight wish i hadn't!

PaulaYatesbiggestfan · 25/11/2007 00:50

i also nearly fainted and everyone was asking!

Bouncingturtle · 25/11/2007 08:51

Hello everyone, hope you are all well.
Just a quickie to check in, visiting my mum this weekend!
