Good news about the hcg, Jules

Hi Ellie, I can't believe you are 20 eeks already , time has flown. good luck for the scan on Friday.

I had my scan today . After a sleepless night, tears and tantrums we have seen a little heartbeat. The baby measures 4mm and the sonographer puts me at 6 weeks exactly. She says everything is as she would expect for this stage, and I'm sure you all know how I feel now . I do have a quick question though - I thought I was 6w and 3d, but know I don't ovulate till about day 16 or 17. Would this account for the discrepancy in dates, would you think?

I hope this means I'm here to stay!

PaulaYatesbiggestfan · 26/11/2007 21:22

that sounds exactly right- 3 days longer cycle makes you 3 days less pg!
well done i am so so happy for you
I love your profile! My grandad was Ken and I loved him dearly!

fettleandbabyfettle · 26/11/2007 21:27

Glad there's lots of good news on here!

But sorry to hear about your Mum Hotchoc.

Still no news from Glimmer? Wouldn't she be 2 weeks overdue tomorrow? hope everything has gone ok?

Bouncing - how did you get to 36 weeks so quickly!!! What's your secret to a speedy pregnancy?!! Can't quite believe that Toby is 10 weeks old - it has gone so quickly!

big hugs and healthy and well vibes to everyone!
xxx

DaisyNightingale · 26/11/2007 22:40

just a quick {{{{hugs}}}} for hotchoc. I know how you feel lovely (more bad news for us re my mum today), and if you want to chat off board, CAT me, or e-mail daisybump at yahoo dot co dot uk.

Hello to all the newbies, hope you are all managing to stay well and calm!
Brilliant scan results recently, such a relief, especially those reaching 20 weeks.
I'm 16 weeks but not feeling movements yet, I don't think, so now worried I can't feel them as this will be my 3rd child so I should recognise them by now. Trying not to worry but you know how it is!
Have a bloody awful cold, forgot how common this is around this stage of pregnancy. Swear this is the worst cold I've had for the last 10 years and, of course, there is nothing I can take except good old paracetemol. If I had the time I'd order the snorter thing but by the time it arrives I'll probably be over it, bum!
Should try and sleep I suppose! Goodnight.

Bouncingturtle · 27/11/2007 06:04

Kensgirl - Congrats on scan, btw the accuracy is about 95% on the dates so I wouldn't worry too much, they can be out by as much as 5 days.
Fettle - yes these last few weeks seem to have gone by so quickly! I bet time is flying for you now you have Toby to keep you busy
Janus - wow 16 weeks! I expect that you'll be feeling movements soon, it might just be the way baby is lying as to why you can't already.

Bouncingturtle · 27/11/2007 06:05

Not be long before we need a new thread!
Have to think up some titles.

How about "Welcome to Knicker Checkers Anonymous"?

makecakesnotwar · 27/11/2007 09:20

I love that Bouncing!

EllieG · 27/11/2007 09:37

Great thread title bouncing!

Jules and Kensgirl - really pleased for you both x

hotchoc · 27/11/2007 09:45

thanks for your support once again everyone, wiping tears away here, i spend so much of the day 'keeping busy' that when i cry it is a torrent! mum was great after the chemo yesterday and i am astounded by her ability to be upbeat, long may it last.

Daisy, sorry you've had sad news too, it is so hard to compute what you are being told sometimes, thanks for your details.

loved the name minichoc so it is now officially adopted. all fine at m/w thankfully.

love to all of you at every stage of growing a baby, aren't we amazing.......

hotchocxx

EllieG · 27/11/2007 09:46

Big big hugs to you hotchoc xxx

Bouncingturtle · 27/11/2007 10:03

{{{{{hugs}}}}} for everyone!!!! (I'm at the nearly time to go soppy emotional stage!)

lovelylou · 27/11/2007 11:16

Hi everyone. Scan on monday and i am having a bad week. I have convinced myself its going to be molar again, just want to cry cos don't think i can cope with all that again and then having to wait another six months. Feeling really down
Pleased everyone is okay. Cannot believe you are 20 weeks already Ellie. Good luck for friday, though im sure everything will be fine x

EllieG · 27/11/2007 11:52

How many weeks are you now lovelylou? Did you have a scan yesterday or mean it is next monday?

lovelylou · 27/11/2007 12:33

I am 7+3 weeks and scan is this monday coming.

EllieG · 27/11/2007 13:32

Will keep everything crossed for you lou. Sure will be fine this time - we are all here for you whatever x

PaulaYatesbiggestfan · 27/11/2007 15:58

what does everyone think to hand held dopplers?

Bouncingturtle · 27/11/2007 17:22

They work for some people but not others. I had one, but it wasn;t that great - I think it is because I was quite flabby before I got pg!

PaulaYatesbiggestfan · 27/11/2007 18:05

well i think i may have heard h/b on mine today at 7 +2!

Jossiejump · 27/11/2007 20:30
